Papu's Cafe: what do users think?
Jacquelyn Gibbs: We ordered through the drive thru last night. It was a bit late but our food was hot and fresh. The gyro platter was good and my husband really liked his schwarma platterFood: 5/5 …More
Mark R: Food is great but I don’t appreciate the business adding a “kitchen fee” tax. If they need to pay staff more then have it reflected in your public menu prices. This 3.25% increase to the total bill which not disclosed anywhere until after you pay. Deceptive business practice which is not customer oriented.Recommended dishes Gyro Sandwich …More

Malik Rob: The food here is delicious. I loved the chicken shawarma and lamb gyro. The service was just ok. I went there about 3 weeks ago order Dolmas but never received them in my bag. When I went back I still didn't receive them when I asked. So make sure you check your order...and the drinks tasted flat so hopefully they change out the drinks on the machine...over all food was good.
Nic Garcia: zain mohammed came in my gyro. i asked for extra ranch......
HOPE MICHELLE: Food was delicious. Girls working were extremely friendly and accommodating considering we were the only people there and I think they were wanting to close a little early. Bryan Arbogast: Food is exquisite. They are sometimes a little slow, but well worth the wait. Atmosphere is bland as it is just a restaurant. Hopefully it will get busy soon and be able to get some decoration. Highly recommendFood: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Atmosphere: 4/5Recommended dishes Hummus, Gyro Meat …More
jennifer arnold: Great food, especially the babaganush. Excellent service.
Chris Wise: This place has the best and freshest ingredients. Khalid and his family are amazing and really care about giving you the healthiest and happy meal possible! Well worth the cost of meals for expensive spices and better quality ingredients that are always fresh. I am a customer and always get great service and always fresh quality cooked meals that are as healthy as it gets.

Prat Kale: This place went from good to worst after pandemic. They used to serve salad with shwarma rice bowl which they don't anymore. Prices went up almost 20%-30% on every item. Quanty of bowl they served shwarma was considerably smaller size than they used to. Chicken was extemely dry. Rice tasted like Mexican rice instead of nice long grain fluffy mildly flavored rice. Falafel wrap was ok. Total disappointment.

John Cooper: Great little place for Middle Eastern food. Had roasted half chicken and rice, hummus and falafels. They have a wide menu and not just trying to sell the “hip” Mediterranean food. Plan on going back and trying everything on the menu eventually. The baked goods looked stellar l, did not try. Pretty hard for anyone to beat how great my mom’s baklava tasted.
Lyric Ollervidez: Delicious food!! We had the falafel plate, the mashawi single plate, and a tabouli appetizer. Everything was fantastic. Food was extremely fresh and pretty fast. Alexander Eurit: This month is Father's Day, and I love my dad. I love his spirit of adventure. I love the story that he'll have to write down in his memoir. I love how certainly he knows a part of his soul is buried in Jerusalem to stay. I also love my cousins and their family's distinct point of view on things and this world. I love the story we'll all have to share after we have navigated the twists and turns of this life, and I even friend love the total strangers who help make that possible, even if they're just getting paid to do it. So I have to share this review of Cafe Jerusalem. We have been going there for their special service to the community of Kansas City and the rest of the world since we were young. I remember when my brother would always get a huge pita at the food court in Oak Park Mall. Fast forward years later. It's Christmas. We're in Kansas City with my aunt, uncle, and cousins. We find out the original location in Westport is the place they were praising all these years. We had fun 😊 And we got full.My brother and their son have been like brothers from different mothers, so it came as no surprise to anyone when they tucked into pitas together 😁 My sister and their daughters all shared baklava and halvah. Me, I did what I always do: I made the waitress run back and forth as I sucked down the mint tea. Best of all, my dad was so thrilled with the place, he said it got him ready for his next trip to Israel ☺️Keep doing what you're doing. You guys help people make memories. I'm serious. And thank you.Vegetarian options: The hummus and falafel here are very fresh and filling!

Loads of options for any eating lifestyle. Vegan? Gluten free? Omnivore? You are covered. We don’t live in the area, but we will keep it on our KC eatery list, and have already told folks who are traveling through the area that they need to stop at Jerusalem Cafe.

Beth S: Food- 4/5 ⭐️Service- 5 ⭐️Cleanliness-5 ⭐️Ambiance- 5 ⭐️Value- 4 ⭐️Location-5 ⭐️Options-4 ⭐️It was tough deciding whether to give this place 4 or 5 stars. Ultimately I give 4 because there are some things that need improvement.I brought my niece here as a graduation gift. This is where she chose to eat. We came as a party of four.Upon entering we realized it was way too cold inside, so asked to be seated outside. She sat us outside in the sun, which was a bit intense, and there was a table in the shade, but since we had already asked to be moved, we didn’t want to make any more fuss. So we sat in the sun. Our waitress was very attentive and helpful. We ordered a blueberry lemonade, mango lemonade and two frozen mint lemonade’s. My blueberry lemonade was too sweet so I didn’t finish it. The mint lemonade was amazing! We ordered a falafel and hummus plate as an appetizer. The hummus was very plain. They had a kind of relish on one end and a hot sauce on the other end, but even so, it was a very bland hummus. The falafel was very good! Crisp and fresh. The tahini dipping sauce was ok.I ordered the gyro platter. It came with a deliciously seasoned and unique rice. It also came with a spinach spanakopita, roasted vegetables, fresh tomatoes, tzatziki sauce, and some feta cheese and Kalamata olives. The carrots were not cooked long enough but the rest of the vegetables were good. The meat was very good! I don’t order gyro very often, but this was seasoned perfectly! My daughter and niece both ordered the dill chicken pita sandwich with Cajun fries. They were not Cajun seasoned fries. They were just regular fries. The sandwiches were delicious. They both could only eat half of their food and took home the rest for later. My husband ordered the shrimp plate because he wasn’t very hungry. It came with 5 grilled shrimp. He said it was very good. The restroom was actually really nice. I took a picture because it was really cute. The total bill was $120 with tip. I might return here, but I would skip the hummus.Wear long pants and long sleeves if dining inside!
