Turns out it was the neighbors house. They left their garden hose on making the well to run none stop. If I ever do have any real problems with my well I will use these guys

Rachel Myers: Hewitt Messenger drilled our well less than a year ago. Four months after they installed the well, my entire family ended up with ecoli. We had our water tested by the county and our well tested positive for ecoli and coliform. Hewitt came out and treated the water and then tested it three times after the treatment. Hewitt tried charging me over $400 for them to treat and test the well. The owner originally said we would not have to pay. All the water tests done by Hewitt came back negative for ecoli. I however got it tested by the county and their test came up positive. We had a geological researcher for the state come out and run various tests for two months only to be told he couldn’t find the source of the problem. So now we are stuck with a $13,000 well that has brown water and ecoli and Hewitt won’t fix it for free.Services:Pump installation,Well installation

The first company couldn't get us back up and running until the next week and we had already been without water to the house and our farm for 2 days. Danny Cazier: I had a leaky valve in my well house and invited Hewitt-Messenger out to replace it. They came out (29 November 2014) and did nothing but tighten the set screw on the valve handle, then charged me $110. I live less than four miles from the company. I presume $110 is their minimal service call fee. But since they traveled such a short distance and did nothing significant, I would have expected a reduced fee. I have since had to pay someone else to replace the faulty fitting as the leak persisted.
Jay Osborne: They replaced my UV filter in a property that I’m selling. Unfortunately, they did not reset the filter alarm. An agent showed the home to a client and the alarm was beeping loudly. I can’t imagine that it left a favorable impression on the potential buyers. I had to drive an hour out to the property myself to reset the alarm- next time I’ll just replace the filter myself. I thought hiring pros meant the job would be done right. They were not interested in refunding the labor costs to rectify their mistake.
Kandi Johnston: Horrible to deal with. They came out to our property and quoted us $1000 to fix the existing pump. Which would have been fine..except when they were all finished we got a bill for $3800...which is over 3 times the amount they initially told us. When we inquired about it, the office staff, Heidi, was rude and said "I dont know what to tell you." I was warned by others to stay away from this company, and I should have listened. Its been nothing but an uphill battle with them and this ridiculously high bill. Consider yourself warned!

Steve Gilbert: Hewitt-Messenger has done a good number of things for me over the last 15 years. They have replace a pumped after a lightning strike, shocked a well for me, fixed a pressure tank problem, and installed two water softeners for me. The work has been top notch and efficient. Their work has been in budget, on time and top quality. I will use them again and will not hesitate to recommend to others.
Carol Wendt: I called Hewitt-Messenger a couple of weeks ago. We are purchasing a new home and we are not from this area. We know nothing about wells, etc. I spoke with Heidi and she educated me on so much! We hadn't spent one single dime with this company and I was so impressed with her that I put it in the contract of the sale that we only wanted Hewitt-Messenger in Springfield to service our soon to be new home. I called Heidi numerous times that day and she never once seemed frustrated or disturbed. Good customer service is so hard to come by. I'm also in the customer service business and I don't give shout outs to just anyone, but she deserves it. Thank you so much Heidi!!!

Mario Brichalli: My wife and I were a bit disappointed in the condition our yard was left post digging. We happen to live on a corner so our yard and easement ended up with 6 holes. Some were roughly filled, seeded and straw spread over them and others were covered with most of the sod that had been removed. One sprinkler head was pointing almost strait up in the air. All holes had plenty of rocks laying on the surface. We spent most of a day picking up rocks, straw and adding dirt to level out the low spots. We do our best to keep our yard and the easement claimed by all utilities in top shape. We only expected it to be left as it was found but our expectations were not met.

Barbara Parks: Great company! They laid fiber-optic cable across the front of our property for several weeks. About a week after they completed the job we had a plumbing issue on a Saturday. They came right away with a crew to find the problem. It turned out to not be their fault, but they generously took care of it anyway! Matt Bumgarner: We had the well installed in summer of 2017.There has been issues with it every year since installation. First lighting. I understand you cannot control the weather, still, $500 service call. Then, transducer went out. $500 service call. And finally, transducer out again, not even a year old. No response or call back when message left. I am taking our business elsewhere. I wish I would have known how much of a pain it would be before we spent $11K on in it in 2017.
Kenneth High: We had our well put in almost 15 years ago. It has given us no trouble on its part. I've had a couple of times when my pipes froze and one unfortunate incident involving a tractor. These guys have always helped me! I can't imagine dealing with anyone else!
