Best Vegan Restaurant Springfield Near Me

Joseph Reno: My wife and I just left Café Cusco after a wonderful anniversary lunch! This was our first time eating here and I have to say right from the beginning that this place is AMAZING! As a retired Air Force veteran, I have traveled around the world and experienced many cultures and food. Now, I find myself always comparing restaurants to the places I've been. Seldom do they even come close comparing here in the States. From the first bite, Café Cusco, however, had enjoying the food as if I were actually sitting in country! If you're the type of person who wants to experience the culture and food of Peru, but don't want to leave Missouri, this is the place to eat! The food will melt in your mouth and easily transport you there! ...and as a sidenote, if you're lucky enough to be served by Joshua, you're in for a real treat! Joshua, from one Air Force Veteran to another, thank you for your service both in uniform and tableside! It truly is a small world!

Boy am I glad I stayed , the chefs in the kitchen are madmen . Some culinary masterpieces live on the menu , it is a creative and flavor bursting mind blowing stop and just need silence to make an audible mmmmmmmmm. Get the blackfish it may be over cooked but the flavors going on in the dish will have you falling in love with Café Cusco . Hate I live 5 hours away . BBStreetwise: It was a lovely experience. Service was really nice. We had arrived early for a reservation, and they had the table ready to go. The waitress was exceptional at her job (especially juggling serving multiple tables). Other than not understanding what the food names are, it was an experience worth it.Edit: The waitress' name is Morgan, so, if you're reading this Café Cusco, good job hiring her. She is exceptionally kind and a hard worker. Lindsay Stokes: I moved out of state 7 years ago, and every visit back home this is at the top of our must eat list. It never disappoints. I had the sweet potato glass noodle stir fry, and it was delicious. I always get the pesto pasta (so tasty and a menu staple), but I felt I should try something new. I'm glad I did! Barb Beezley: We dined on the patio on a beautiful afternoon. The sunshades worked perfectly to keep it from getting too warm. We had several questions about the menu, but our waiter seemed new and uncertain on how to describe things. So we ordered as best we could and hoped for the best. He brought out our drinks after quite a wait. Then took our order. My friend got an egg and chicken in sauce, a bowl full of different things. She said it was a little spicy, but pretty good. I got the Avocado with chicken salad sandwich. It came with a small handful of greens. The salad dressing is delicious. The sandwich was ...not quite good. It was dry shredded chicken with avocado mashed up in it. I got a scoop of that on dry naan-like squares of bread.A bit of pickled onion, a few greens, and 2 cucumber slices. It was very dry. I asked for extra salad dressing, and that kept it from being so dry. Kinda disappointed.We waited almost an hour before we got the writer's attention to get more water, and some ice, and more coffee. It was 20 minutes or more before he came back. We asked if they were busy, and he said it was empty inside. Any way, he brought our checks, finally came back to collect, and we never saw him again.Hopefully, he's new and can be trained better. The waiter at the other table seemed better and more attentive.We might try it again sometime, but the waiters need more education on what they're serving, and a little more training.

I'm not vegan, or even vegetarian, and this place is just SO GOOD. Their chicken and beef sliders are so surprisingly meaty and so flavorful.Using compostable materials in their packaging makes me feel like I'm making the right choice with where I'm spending my dollars. Not to mention that the prices are great and now I can take my vegan family members out to eat easily with Bosky's new hours!The waitstaff are incredibly friendly and genuinely interested in your experience.I wish there was more seating, but I've been lucky every time I've gone in- theres been one empty table just for me. Maybe an outdoor table would be a good addition?? The price was super affordable for a family of four, and your chickenless tenders won over a very picky 8 year old! The pop was all great. Dustin Scott: This is one of the best places to eat downtown. I am not vegan, but I still eat here because the food is really good!! The mushroom burger is absolutely delicious. The fries are perfectly seasoned. Best ranch dressing I’ve ever had. The people are always very nice. Food quality is very high. They have crushed ice and clean bathrooms. The water from the countertop spigot is very fresh. I’ve heard it’s 100% vegan spring water from the mountains pumped into Springfield Missouri in a 1/2” plastic line. That may or may not be true. I haven’t had time to trace the water line and see where it comes from.

Gunnar “CapnMatter”: I don't really leave reviews often but I needed to for this place because everytime I'm here the food is absolutely amazing and the employees are very nice. Highly recommend, a must stop for Springfield.

Markus Blain: I had to give up a lot of foods when I developed an intolerance to egg, including most creamy sauces and batter-fried foods like chicken tenders and fish patties. I figured I'd try Bosky's because they have an entirely vegan menu so there's no chance I'd accidentally eat egg. We just had food delivered and I am absolutely blown away. This is probably the best vegan alternative to the dishes I can no longer eat that I've ever tasted. Even my picky child loved the "chicken" poppers. We will definitely be ordering again.

Atmosphere is great, the food is plated artistically, flavor is beyond amazing, and the prices are pretty reasonable for what you're getting, which is upscale trendy dining. Jolanna Davis: I always love the food here, it’s one of my favorite restaurants in Springfield! Today I went here to pick up a to go on my break, and asked if the seasonal spritzers were sugar free. The lady at the register said no, but she could do a sugar free vanilla coffee. I declined, but she then surprised me with a virgin mojito with Splenda! It was so delicious! Bethany Price: I loved this place when it was a food truck but I feel like their quality has diminished a lot since they have been inside the VIB.The pineapple chicken fried rice used to be so incredible but now it has tiny pineapple tidbits that are hard to taste or see, the chicken is dry, it is heavily salted and even though they offer different levels of heat they rarely remember to add it when I request it. Also, the price doesn't match up with their menu.I don't know. I miss the old crew, the old truck and the consistency they used to have.

We had the Drunken noodles and Garlic noodles (a special) and were both very happy with the food. We had the large portion, but I think the single portion will be enough for next time. We got to sit outside in the sunshine and enjoy our meal. The do have seating inside the hotel also.

Eric Morris: I like the food, but charging several dollars more than the menu (both online and behind the counter) says is NOT an ethical business practice. If you can figure out how to update your cash register with your new prices, you can figure out how to update the price board.This is basic business law. You offered food a certain price, and in ordering the customer accepted your offer. Then, you changed the terms of the offer by adjusting the base price upward (by over 20%). The menu makes it clear that the the BASE price charged did not match the offer made by the menu.The cashier was unable to explain the difference, but this is a management problem, not a cashier problem.

Larissa Breshears: Everything Rachel and her team prepares is absolutely delicious! The Biscuits & gravy and doughnuts are my favorite from the Wednesday morning service! I’ve also had serval custom cakes made including a cake with lavender frosting and it was hands down the best cake I’ve ever had. If you’ve not eaten here you are missing out. These vegan options will not leave you missing dairy or meat. She nails the flavor, texture and experience. Best vegan bakery!

With that in mind I still think these are the best cakes I have ever had (trust me I have ordered several times and several flavors) their carrot cake and lavender lemon are divine! Every single time I have ordered they have been so kind, considerate and accommodating. The only disappointing thing is that I can’t get the vegan biscuits and gravy on Saturday’s when I am off work.

I have been a customer since the beginning of this gem of a bakery and have been lucky enough to have had just about everything that has come out of their kitchen, from space brownies to sweet potatoes and everything in-between. They made the wedding cake for me and my wife. The red velvet has been my birthday cake at least 4 times. My favorite breakfast sammy has vegan sausage and my favorite scone is the blueberry. If you've never had the strawberry cake you're doing yourself a disservice. Great food, great people!

I've traveled all over the country sampling vegan food and these were some of the best scones and donuts I've ever had. The owner is really friendly and so was her staff. Wish I could start every morning with a sausage cheese scone. My sister-in-law and my two nephews who are not vegan were blown away and said they couldn't tell the difference.
