My son and I were shopping for a tux for prom and although they were busy, the sales associates took time with us, got exactly what was wanted, had him measured and order placed and out the door in 40 minutes! And, they did all this with a smile on their face after what I am sure was an extremely difficult Saturday. This also included spending a little time at Linda's flowers to look at corsages. The gentleman there, after showing him a sample of my son's gf's dress flipped the book open to the perfect corsage to match her dress. ONLY 40 MINUTES TOTAL! As far as pricing....Karl's was BY FAR the most reasonable, compared to other similar establishments in the Springfield area! Thank you to everyone qt Karl's and Linda's for making this a pain-free, totally pleasant experience!

Mattilyn Choate: I had a horrible experience with Karls Tuxedo. My husband and I decided to use Karls since I purchased my dress at MK Bridal. The wedding was September 10 and we had the groomsmen, fathers, and ring bearer get fitted before July 10. When we set the date, my husband was fitted. We called after July 10 to check and make sure everything was good to go. At this time they informed us they had lost my husbands fitting requirements and needed to have him return to be fitted again. Frustrating, but we understood. The men were to pick up their suits the day before the wedding. We had the men get them and then head to the venue to do our rehearsal dinner. When the ring bearer went to pick up his suit he had been given a large shirt, large pants, and a men's size 11 shoe. The family had to make a trip back to the store to have the proper attire provided. At this time they informed us that they did not have a suit that would fit our ring bearer. They informed the ring bearer's parents that they have never had a size small enough for him. My husband and I called Karl's and all they would tell us is there is nothing they could do. After an hour of discussion with the store owners they decided they would alter the attire for him and have it ready by the end of the day. We did eventually get something that fit him for the wedding. It was extremely frustrating that they sized him, wrote down the measurements, and still never informed the bride and groom they did not have a suit for him. To tell a bridal party that they do not have the proper suit for them, the DAY before the wedding, is ridiculous. Not once did we receive an apology for the frustration or improper communication on their part. They had the same problems on MK Bridal's side of the store. I do not recommend either for anyone to use for any important event. There is no sense of communication from any individual in the store! As a former bride, do not waste your time, you have enough things to worry about!!

Also the ties are all presewed so you can't adjust the length for a taller man. The pregnant lady that help me had an attitude. Also kept helping other people in the middle of taking care of me. If I had a choice I would have just gone and bought a new suit from men's wearhouse. Wish I hadn't spent a penny in this place.

Excellent choice of suits.I was skeptical at first, since I’ve always got my suits at the big box stores, but I was very surprised by all the choices and experience of the owner. The tailoring was perfect! and to top it off they had shoes and belts available that were also excellent in style.I will never go to any other suit shop again.You will not be disappointed!!

Jackie O'Connor: Buyer beware!! We had a terrible experience with John’s Suit Shop. We bought all the groomsmen suits for my son’s wedding here. They were supposed to order a suit that came in both slim and regular sizes. The one that was supposed to be a slim cut had to be altered because after receiving it they informed me that the suit we bought didn’t come in slim. I had to pay for the alterations and when I spoke with the store they refused to take responsibility.The worse thing though was that two of the suits were completely the wrong size. At the wedding two of our groomsmen were unable to button their jackets. Again the shop refused to take any responsibility or make any concessions at all. I was told that this had never happened before and that they would not do anything at all for the problem. DO NOT USE THIS STORE!!!!Edit: The store’s response proves my point. They will not take any responsibility. And the truth is I did not “demand a refund”. I explained the situation and got a list of reasons this was not their fault. Even after all the trouble we had up to this point I was surprised that the store would not want to at least apologize. I explained again and they asked what I wanted, I said I didn’t think we should have to pay for suits that can not be worn and had such a negative impact on the wedding day. She refused and I asked what her suggested remedy was, she said “nothing”.I am including a picture of the suits we talked about on our original trip to the store. We were very clear that we would need very different sizes/cuts and the employee directed us to the suits that would fit out need. I can’t imagine how something else was ordered for us and why the suits fit at the initial fitting but were unwearable at the wedding (which was two months later).The shocking thing is the total lack of willingness to apologize or make any sort of concessions.

Ben knew what he had on the racks that would fit my need. Suit pants were hemmed in 10 minutes! If you're in need of suits or sport coats stop here first and don't waste your time at the mall across the street.

Mary Gulath: I cannot say enough great things about this store! I have a very tall (6’8”) son and we are never able to purchase clothes for him in store. He needs a 36/38 waist with 38 length. As soon as we walked in the store, Ben sized up my son and immediately brought him several pant and shirt options! The prices were incredibly reasonable. We are so thankful to have found this gem of a store!

I had to swing in and purchase some clothes for an interview last minute and was greeted at the door immediately and asked what I was looking for. I only needed trousers and a shirt. 15 minutes later I walked out with trousers that had been hemmed for me, and a great shirt to match. I couldn’t believe how reasonable the prices were. Customer service was top notch as well.I was in a hurry, so unfortunately, I didn’t get to browse much but I will be back very soon to purchase more clothing. The bad reviews from Mens Wearhouse brought me here and I’m glad I listened to the others who recommended this establishment instead. I will not being going anywhere else for my dress attire needs from now on.Also, I had my 3 year old with me, and even though he behaves quite well for his age, we were both treated with respect. In my experience, some establishments tend to not want to deal with customers who bring their kids in and can be rude. However, this was not the case at Mens Suit Mart. Will be telling everyone I know to shop here.

He was a hat fanatic. In February of 2022 anticipating the reopening of Eye Candy and following Eye Candy's Facebook page I entered the hat wall contest and with a little help from upstairs I was 1of 2 winners. Well as life has it sometimes things have happened and I have not been able to make it to claim my hat. I live about 40 minutes away. My daughters went into Eye Candy today and explain the situation to them and the employees were so understanding and let them pick my hat. I'm beyond blessed! I recommend Eye Candy if you want a good shopping experience with friendly staff and the coolest clothes, jewelry and accessories.
