Sonya Trantham: We made a reservation for 930am. We got there on time and was seated. 11 minutes later our waiter came to the table. By then we ordered our drinks and food because we had plenty of time to look at the menu. We got our drinks 15 minutes later. At 10:45 we finally got are food. The food was cold and not edible. It had to have sat in the window for at least 15 minutes before he brought it to us. We asked for a manager, 10 minutes later we explained what happened. We paid for our drinks and left. We will never go back.

Anne Brown: The food was good - had the lobster tacos and they were fresh and flavorful. What I didn't like was the fact that they add a 10% surcharge for using a credit card plus they charged 15% sales tax. I can understand the surcharge and their right to add it - but I think they should tell customers in advance. I also question the 15% sales tax on a food truck - seems excessive plus I didn't get a printed receipt nor was I offered one. He tried to show me on his iPad and said the information went away and if I didn't like it I could eat somewhere else.

Brooke Ewbank: Paid $30 for two bland, cardboard chicken tacos. $2.50 alone for a solo cup of soda with no free refills. Presentation of food 0/10. Customer service was awful… the plants that were getting watered were clearly more important than us and the barely edible food we waited over 15 minutes for.

The Komodo Dragon Burger, from the quality meat to the flavorful bacon to the sauce was uncompassing joy for my taste buds. Lobster Tacos, fresh with large chunks of delicious lobster...no stinginess.The critiques I can make: Would have enjoyed a salsa with the chips, gosh I know it would be incredible. Next, the beautiful lady at the counter was pleasant yet had a distant vibe that made me feel not welcome. To be fair, she was eating dinner and we came in right before closing on a Sunday. Minji Min: I recently visited the Taj Mahal Restaurant in Springfield, Missouri, and I must say, my mother and I were extremely disappointed with the service and quality of our meal, especially considering it was Mother's Day. To our utter dismay, the staff and owner served the two tables that arrived after us before attending to our needs. This lack of attention made us feel neglected, unimportant, and tarnishing the overall dining experience. Adding insult to injury, when our food finally arrived, it was disheartening to discover that it was burnt.In summary, our visit to the Taj Mahal Restaurant was a deeply upsetting experience. The neglectful service of the staff and the owner along with the presence of burnt food on such a special occasion left us thoroughly dissatisfied. We will not be coming back.

Rich Cornelius: I absolutely love this place!!! Best Indian cuisine in Springfield and friendly staff! Lamb vindaloo is my hands down favorite. It is NOT a lunch buffet item. It IS a very special dinner menu item. It is beyond wonderful! Vindaloo is by nature an incredibly SPICY dish. If you like to sweat and cry but be HAPPY all at the same time, seek no further. Also, above all else, DO NOT tell them Rich sent you. That will only entice Chef. Stick with the normal level of spice.

Jeremy Medley: I stopped in with my children whom have not had anything approaching authentic Indian cuisine before this visit. We had the butter chicken and the Taj Mahal special. The food was pretty good and I liked the spice level at medium although my children were put off by it. They definitely have an American palate and I am working on adjusting them to other ethnic cuisines and spice levels. We arrived at 8:05 approximately with the restaurant closing at 8:30. The staff immediately seemed to start pressing us and hurrying us along. The food arrived around 8:25 and not even 5 minutes later they were presenting me with the bill and asking if I could pay immediately. I was told that the restaurant was closing at 8:30 at least 4 times. I was rushed and hurried the entire meal which made the overall experience not enjoyable. I didn’t finish my meal and eventually dumped it in a box in order to leave. I fully understand that restaurant staff have lives and families and other events to get to but I also walked in before close and asked if it was ok to order. They took my order and served us so it would be nice to not be rushed the entire time. The kitchen should close at 8 in order to avoid this issue and allow customers time to finish their meal. I had not intention of staying until 9:30 but it would have been nice to eat my meal without the staff standing behind me and my children staring at us and rushing us with their eyes. At one point 3 staff members were watching us eat. We left the restaurant at 8:49. I am now at home watching Eureka on Amazon sitting at my coffee table finishing my Indian dinner and the atmosphere is much more relaxed although my dogs are now staring at me and my food…..

Breni Thomas: Room service was handled by Gill and August. August at the front desk, very friendly and professional, saw a guest being rude to her and she handled it very well and professional. Made it very easy for me and my doggo.Gill came in with my food room service. My dog barked at her as he is a guard dog/still puppy. She handled it very well, very understanding as to why he was reacting that way, as soon as I let him meet her, they were best friends. Definitely an asset to a dog friendly hotel.I was a petite female solo traveler, and this place made me feel safe and comfortable. They had a small dog patch RIGHT outside the hotel, made me feel comfortable taking my puppy out at any hours.Overall nice hotel design, not so great views, but the layout covers for it. Danielle Grimm: Worst experience that I have ever endured! The Valet mysteriously lost one of our bags. Of course, he denied and the staff also denied. Not to mention that the staff was very rude and unaccountable. We were in from out of town for a wedding and due to the lack of responsibility on the Valet's part, we were unable to enjoy a special time. Whether the Valet misplaced our bag, left it on the street or kept for himself, is unknown. But the Hotel has shown absolutely no accountability, fault or responsibility! We did not stay. Was told by front desk that we would not be charged for room. Guess what? We were! DO NOT STAY AT THIS HOTEL! Unprofessional and shady is all I can say!
