Ariee Jade: I was having some issues with my 2012 Toyota Camry. It felt like I was driving over the lines on the highway when I would press my gas pedal between 35 and 50 MPH. I brought it to ACE for an estimate repair and diagnosis. Ace had my car from 8 am until I called about my car at 4pm. That is when they finally informed me that my estimate repair was done. I get up there and get told my torque converter was bad and destroying metals all throughout my transmission. For that, it would need a whole new transmission and torque converter. That conversation ended with a bill for $6,700. I took it to 2 COMPLETELY different transmission shops and both of them said that the TCC chatter was not as bad as Ace had claimed. $450 and a fluid flush later, and my transmission has not ever been better. I asked numerous times if taking the whole transmission out was the only option; each time I was told yes. Ace held my car for over 7 hours and NOT ONCE did they actually pull the pan out from under my transmission to see if there was even metal shavings in the oil. Ace did not share all the options with me, watched me panic, and STILL chose to try to replace a large portion of my engine without even bothering to see if the work was really required. Overall, I would never recommend anybody here and I would not be coming back.Service:Transmission

Byrd Fam: I am very thankful for them fixing me up and remanufacturing me a transmission. So far my car has been running great! They also have a really great warranty so I don’t have to worry if something happens to the new transmission. My only complaint is more of a frustration, nobody communicated to me that my battery was bad, so after dropping thousands on the repair I had to turn around and spend another 200 on a new battery. It definitely could have been worse but I just wish I’d known before I picked it up. Ultimately would still recommend this place to anyone needing transmission repair! :)Service:Transmission

They will charge you over half the price of a new transmission. My transmission was worse after they worked on it. They left transmission wires hanging down and so many more issues with the transmission. Never bring your vehicle here. They will steal from you and then lie about it. Christine Kelley: A couple years ago my transmission had to be replaced and he rebuilt it for cheaper than I could've hoped. This time round my shifter wasn't going into gear. Everytime I'd take it somewhere it wouldn't do it. Finally I took it to beetle and he said it didn't do it for him but that he was pretty sure what it was and that he could replace that part and see if that worked. He did and it's been fixed ever since! I truly appreciate the time and effort he takes with his customers and even if something isn't happening right away he will do his best to help whatever way he can.
oldguy: Had transmission fluid changed. Got in when scheduled. I had an issue develop a couple of weeks after the transmission fluid was changed not caused by anything Beatles had done. I asked him if they could help me out with this issue and they said they would and they did. They did not have to, they went above and beyond and I greatly appreciate it.Service:Transmission

Robert Hall: Oh where to start....... Called in February of 2022 to set an appointment to get my wife's car (09 dodge journey) in to be looked at 137,xxx miles. They told me March 18th would be the soonest so I took the car up there. Said he would get back to me in a few days after waiting a week and not hearing anything I called them was told it hadn't even been looked at yet but first thing Monday. Called Wednesday and they said it needed to be rebuilt. I was told 3 days it would be ready to go. I finally got a phone call telling me it was ready on April 5th. August 28th the transmission started acting up again so I took it back up there dropped it off September 2nd called 140xxx miles. Called them a week after I dropped it off said they had to rebuild it again because of an oring and seal that failed. Called me September 14th to tell me it was done. Went September 15th to pick it up and was very disappointed with the clips missing in the fenders, the broken washer nozzle, the grease and oil that was left on the fender. I wouldn't recommend beetles transmission. They will not call you to keep you informed. Poor work ethics. I have included pictures. If anything goes wrong with the transmission again I will take it to another shop and hire an attorney $3,033 for the transmission to make it 1 oil change actually 2650 miles is a tough pill to swallow.Service:Transmission

Jesse T: A few years ago I took my older Lincoln TC here for a transmission rebuild/reman. They had a great price in mind and they were able to give my car back to me within a few days. The reason I am giving this a low rating is due to the quality of the transmission. I took it back once or twice and they never were able to find the issue. A year later it was in the same condition as when I took it to them the first time. I found a different shop that repaired it for me and they said the internals were extremely worn and had broken apart. I won't be going back here.Service:Transmission

travis grimm: Fine work but got denied a warranty. I was an A.S.E. certified automatic transmission mechanic and know the components they requested replaced for the warranty have virtually nothing to do with the transmission operations. They didn't bother showing me the diagnosis after replacing those parts. Thanks

tcg73: I took my 98 Chevy Silverado in to have them check what I thought was a slippage of the transmission. They test drove it and didn't find anything really wrong. When I got there, I went with a test drive with Mike and he pointed out the the slippage I felt for the age of the truck was to be expected. He recommended keeping an eye on it and bringing it back when it got worse. They could have easily recommended a costly service, but were honest with me. Needed a full transmission rebuild, brakes, rotors, and rear shocks.I left my car with them for 15 days, as his shop is extraordinarily busy. Austin called me and said, " your car is done ". I was leaving in 36 hours for San Diego, CA for a fishing trip, and? Austin DID! DID advise me to keep the car local, to work it in.Nope. I did not heed his advice. Why? 100% trust and faith in his skills.I drove from Springfield to San Diego, Ca. To Ventura, Ca. To Ojai, Ca. To Solvang, Ca to Sacramento, Ca. Back to Springfield, Mo.4,800 miles, in 3.5 weeks with the car parked for 9 days.The repairs? Flawless. BONUS????? B Gann: Took my car there to get a new clutch installed. They installed it and did not bleed the master cylinder correctly. It ended up braking my master cylinder. Took it back and they had me pay for a new part for it. And they still did not bleed the master cylinder correctly. Matt Rosa: I bought a car from Bishop Auto it had a shutter before I made it home thought that maybe it was bad gas turns out it needed a new transmission Bishop Motors recommended them they had my car several days and when I got it back still had a vibration noise but no shutter so I took it to the shop locally and they inform me my a arm bolts were almost out and I was lucky 2 make it home and he informed me that there was a hole in my transmission pan and it was leaking transmission fluid I was informed by Bishop Motors that my warranty only applied at loveland's A-OK transmission they had my car for several more days call them Thursday of that week they said it was done but needed test drove Friday evening I picked up my car and parts of the car was not put together and was in the back of my vehicle and had to take the vehicle back and wait for the parts to be installed I'm lucky my family made it home safe I do not recommend and they do not keep you updatedService:Transmission

Daniel Wilkinson: Make sure you properly communicate to them what work should be done and ONLY done. My bill came out about $600 more than the estimate and there was some unauthorized extra work performed.The communication can definitely be improved. I had left specific instructions to call me after tear down to inform me of what they found. No calls. I had to call them after a week, and found out the transmission was almost ready to re-install. They were not very forth coming with what they found. I had to pull every answer out of them.I believe that you will have to be very firm with them on what to do and what not to do. If they just would have called me to let me know some issues they had, I could have the opportunity to decline the work or done something different that wouldn't have coat me 30% over estimate.
Jonetta Dean: Not impressed took our car there and asked them to fix what was wrong with the front end and got it inspected they said it was road safe and called them told them it was worst then when we took it to them asked them if they could look at it was told they was busy and got told to take it to some where else so I did.. I have to pay another 1200$ to get it fixed after paying them almost 1000$... Hope this helps other people realize who these people are and to take there car else where.

Luke Migliazzo: Definitely would not recommend, long story short Steve told me he could replace my transmission in 5 days, had my car towed to his house, had a 1,300 transmission shipped to his house just for it to sit outside in the rain for a whole month, the whole process he lied to me about working on my car, he didn't touch it for over a month it sat in the same spot the tow truck first dropped it off at, finally I had enough of him lying and denying my calls so I picked my car and transmission up but he would not give me my key back, it took 2 weeks and I had to file a police report just to get my keys back for the car, avoid at all cost id rather had waited the 5 weeks every other shop was telling me to wait.Service:Transmission

Caleb Wells: My transmission started to slip at the beginning of the semester so I called this place. Spoke with Steve I believe was his name and he got my car in fairly fast. We agreed that there was a nice replacement and he would order it and put my car on the rack to see if he could do anything. I went out of town for the weekend and after my $650 deposit on the replacement transmission he decided that it didn't need it when he got it up on the rack. So when I came back to pick it up he said he practically rebuilt it only for another $650. Without my consent on what should be done to my car he made his decision. When I showed up to pick it up and ask for a receipt he told me to take his word. So if you're looking for a crook tax evading liar this is your shop to go to.
R M: My wife had 4 transmissions rebuilt here over a few years and none of them lasted over 25000 miles, NONE.
LordLegends: i recently had my transmission worked on, and i was highly impressed by the work they did and how they explained what they did to fix it. Even with my blunt description of what events conspired when it decided to break. I was Very impressed by the quality and how quickly they got the job done. I walked in expecting to spend over 700$ but i didn't even spend half of that. Definitely will be going back to have more work done by them.
Clay: I had a transmission built for a diesel that I was told would outlast the factory transmission because of the upgrades. . The factory transmission had 270,000 miles on it. The first trip in, I spent $2,950.00. The first day I drove it home, the transmission quit pulling itself. I had to haul it back the next day. I hauled it back 3 more times after that and spent another $600 on it doing what they recommended. Then 8 months later and 10,000 miles, the transmission when out. I have a 24,000 mile- 24 month warranty. They tried telling me a ridiculous reason why the transmission went out and that it was my fault. They put another transmission in it and it's slipping in 3rd gear not even 30 miles on it, don't want to cover the warranty and wants another $2900. I've been around diesels and trucks my entire life. Raised on a farm, been a small business owner for several years, in the military for 10 and deployed over seas. I'm not stupid, yet they want to treat me as such and leave me with a non working product. Think twice before dealing with these people. They will lie and not stand behind their warranty. They will also keep your vehicle for weeks upon weeks, it was 6 weeks before they even called me. I know several business owners and military personnel and their families that will not do business with them. If you've had a good experience with these people, be thankful.
Jake Siler: Great experience, they do good work, and when I was looking for someone to rebuild my transmission stronger than it left the factory, they were able to do the work and suggest the best parts to make it stand up to the abuse of off roading and rock crawling. Great place, great people, great work, and great prices.

Azure Blue: My truck was shifting strange and everyone I took it to said the transmission needed rebuilt. I took it to Springfield Transmission for the free diagnostics. Turns out the reason it wouldn't shift was because the ignition switch wasn't putting power down to the transmission. It cost a little to fix but no where near what a transmission would have cost me. Thanks for having an honest shop.
Mysti Burge: I've been using this shop for the last 10 years and have never had an issue!!! They provide great service and are the only shop in Springfield that I will trust my vehicle with. I always get a thourough explanation of what the problem is and unlike most shops, they give you the option on what you want to fix and when and in what order and dont try to tell you that you need work done that you don't. I send my friends here and they love this place too!!! Never had a negative experience and the only one time that something needed to go back it was the part that was defective and not the quality of work. I would recommend this shop to anyone and if my dad was not a mechanic, I would send my mom :D

Jason Sargent: Referred to Specialized Transmission by a family member. They are super friendly and try to get you in the quickest they can. With both my family member's and my vehicle they made every effort to avoid the higher priced option, rebuild or replacement. That's hard to find these days! When a shop tries to help you avoid higher costs, you have more faith in them if you do have to take more expensive actions later. They have definitely earned my trust.I highly recommend and would return for sure!

Paige Means: My husband and I brought in our 02 Dodge 1500 after getting told by many Transmission shops that they won’t touch it, Tony said to bring it on in for him to look at. It was making a loud whining noise and we thought for sure it needed a new transmission, he drove it and got underneath it and told us it was the overdrive. He had a chance to take advantage of us and rebuilt the whole transmission but instead was very honest with us. What we thought was a couple thousand dollar fix, ended up being less than a couple hundred.
