Pamela Robertson: I have never in my life been charged so, much to have a 1099 filed cost was $451 was given a $25 coupon so, ended up being $426 the return was accepted 02/09/2023 here it is 04/20/2023 I have still not got my return keep getting told since the end of February that it was approved an IRS is preparing to send. I was told a date of 02/28/2023 as a estimated date if by far past that date. I have called H&R an just keep getting told its been accepted an gone threw just being prepared to be sent by IRS . Now I'm having issues with H&R having the tax professional call me back to get answers other then what I've been told for months now. Again why charging $451 an it's taking months to get sent when I never had this issue before I'd filed 1099s in the past an got them usually very quickly way before 21 day an definitely wasn't charged half that to have done. I noticed in the reviews I'm not the only one who had issues with them an also see the cost seems extremely expensive which noticed what I'm being charged seems even higher then the amounts I see people said they was charged.

We only received half of our taxes, I was informed to bring in the letter.We brought in the letter and we were attacked by Anita, she said we had to deal with the emerald card people.I explained I've tried and she had the police called, we were attacked with a sign by one employee.I left a review, it said the owner wanted to speak with me. That was another lie, it was a supervisor who promised to help.We went to the town and country location, I was told it was never put on my card and I needed to contact emerald card?Long story short, I paid for peace of mind and got ripped off $2800 because they refuse to help.

LaDonna Marie: The owner, Jack, lost him temper with me in front of my 5 year old on my child’s Birthday. There had been an error with the paperwork and when I came back to see if we filled it out wrong or if they had he would not show me the original document and instead threw it on the desk in front of me and started cursing and yelling. He asked ‘How dare I ******* question him?” And went on berating me till I pulled my phone out to record him. He stopped yelling and is on video picking up my papers and cursing once more before I turned my phone off and left. It was so extremely disturbing that I called the BBB, which I have never done before. I don’t know if it was because I was a woman or if he had had a bad day or because he was the owner and felt he could speak to me however he wanted but he spoke to me as if I was a piece of garage stuck to his shoe and cursed in front of a child scaring him. Obviously I left with my things and never looked back.

Jack Gregory welcomed me took and verified all my tax information and answered all of my ?'s .. it was prepared and ready within the same week .. when I picked up my tax return Janet took the time to point out all information .. everyone was very pleasant .. the fee was reasonable .. I will be going back there next year This is my second year of using this tax service .. Once again Jack Gregory prepared my taxes ... they are so friendly and informed they will see me next year also!

Connie Bennett: My family and I have been going to Central Tax since the mid 70’s. My children and grandchildren go here as well, Frank, his son Corey and the rest of the staff are very knowledgeable, friendly, and professional. Highly recommend Central Tax to anyone needing a tax preparer.

Mariah Richardson: We chose this place based on a few family friend recommendations. At first they were super kind and great to work with. Ralph did our taxes and seemed knowledgeable. A few months later we received a letter from the IRS indicating missing information on our taxes, i had to call a few times before someone answered to help resolve this issue. Fast forward 8months later (today) we received another letter from the IRS for the same issue. I emailed twice and called and left a voicemail with no response for two days. I finally tried calling again and the owner, Frank, answered. Once he has realized my name and the situation he became very rude, blunt and carefree with his words. He refused to help me and my husband with this matter, told me no one at his office was there to help if i chose to come in and it’s not his problem anymore since we received our refund. He said “lady i’m in Italy, 7hr time difference. I’m done helping you and you can deal with the IRS by yourself”. Not professional in my opinion as they are the certified professionals who made us pay $150 for them to help us with our taxes so it would get done correctly. They are now refusing to refund us our money and release any of our documents they have with our personal information. If anything goes wrong it’s immediately your fault and they will not help. Save your time and money and choose another company.
