Jay Bird: Always enjoy the friendly staff's personality! Plus they're knowledgeable advice on how to get your pool as crystal clear as possible! And their prices are very fair! And access is right off a major hwy! If you haven't been there, do yourself a favor and take the time to visit them! We've been to a couple of pool store's and always end back with them !

I went to Midwest first because I had always recieved good service there, Eugene sat down and went through everything with me and respected my budget. I then went to 5 local pool dealers comparing prices. I did not find the level of customer service in all but 1 other place, none of the competitors offered the Oxygen system and only 1 came close to their price, most were more than $1000 more. All the competitors had different level packages that they kept adding on product where Midwest had it all as their base.Now when I call they remember me, this is the first time I have ever written a Google review on a business, but they deserve it!Thank you Midwest!

Cindy Bradshaw: Most workers are rude & not helpful @ all. We purchased our pool here years ago. Every time we needed something. Whether it was an item or just a question. They act as if we were a bother. Getting our water tested was always criticized as if we didn't know what we were doing. Last time we dealt with them was when we opened pool this season. The tarp we purchased from them @ end of season in 2021 tore down the middle. We called they said bring it in. We did & the worker yelled @ us said it was something we did to make it rip. That's when we got upset. We told them every time we come in it's a problem. We walked out. One worker followed us outside. She said leave the tarp I'll see what we can do. She took our # & said they would call. It's now been a month. But no call back. We will never get our supplies from here again.

They gave us great information and helped us to save a ton of money. We live an hour away but I’ll tell you it was worth the trip. We will be getting our pool supplies from Leslie’s.

Sara Frickenschmidt: I ordered a pool cover in the early fall, and I was told it would be shipped in January due to supply chain issues. I was fine with that, but when I called in January to check on the order, it had been canceled in November. I was not informed. I reordered the pool cover, and it did not arrive until April. I went ahead and had a sub-contractor of Leslie's open the pool, and it is nearly a month later, and it is still not swimmable. The tarp that was used over the winter added a lot of dirt and leaves to the pool, and the sub-contractor didn't vacuum or get it cleaned. I am now working with Midwest Pool to get it ready for the summer. I am deeply disappointed with Leslie's, and I've literally spent thousands with them and received terrible customer service and no resolution for my pool issues.
April Deal: Horrible customer service. Won’t be back. I walked in on July 9 to buy a new pool filter. I told them the brand name and size. Employee said he didn’t have one but said I could order one online and suggested one so I ordered it. I even asked if it would fit and he said yes. Filter came and it was NOT the one I ordered. I tied it anyway and it was too big to fit in the holes. I took it back to the store and an employee said to just cut the pool a little and force it in. He said, “that is what I would do”. I said I didn’t know about that. He said I had to call the main company to return but he would take if they said it was ok. I took it home and looked at it agin to see if it would work and there was no way so I called and they said I could return to the store. I went back today and a different employee said to just leave it and he would talk to a manager. I said isn’t there some paperwork to fill out and what about my refund. He said he didn’t do that but he would leave it for the manger. I didn’t want to leave it. He finally texted his manager and then said they don’t do returns from online. I told him that I called and they told me to return it to the store. He said the company doesn’t know that they don’t take returns from online. He was no help. Then he tells me that Coleman and Intex don’t match up anyway. No one told me that when I bought it. This has been horrible and I doubt I will ever be back.

The staff is always available and quick to help with all my needs, be it in store or having to place an order. Free pool water testing is a plus! I truly enjoy my trip into Leslie’s pool store and my kids go wild over the great selection of pool toys and floats. I’ve never worried about the higher pricing of items, as the saying goes “you get what you pay for.” Cheap prices = cheap objects. I highly suggest you visit this location and enjoy your shopping as much as my family does.

Rd Hs: One of the WORST customer service experiences I have experienced with a company. To keep it short and simple, they do NOT respond back to emails (after they request one be sent to them for further information) and phone calls back. The serviceman, Lewis, was VERY rude and unprofessional once we called back the THIRD time requesting a response-- a THIRD time in THREE weeks. Will not recommend this business to anyone as no communication and rude attitudes will not be rewarded.

Cheryl Mitchell: YOU HAVE A CHOICE! There are numerous reputable pool and spa companies to choose from in the Springfield/Branson area, and this is not one of them. I’d give anything to have taken the time to read reviews before getting tied up with this unprofessional, unreliable, and dishonest company. They were called for a repair that was NEVER MADE and sent a one-line invoice for more than double the hours they spent on the job over numerous visits. The hours they were there were mostly spent walking around, and even sitting in their truck in our driveway, in my opinion counting on us not being home in order to dispute the number of hours they should have billed. They finally gave up and left without making any sort of repair. Our first step was to try to have a reasonable conversation about the invoice amount, but the owner would not even speak to us. Customer satisfaction seems to take a backseat to egoism and defensiveness with him, which is a common opinion in other reviews written by their customers, and one that comes through in his "owner responses" to negative reviews. Disputing the bill resulted in the involvement of a collection company and threat of lawsuit—in my opinion, overbilling and subsequent intimidation is their M.O. and the method by which they remain in business. Save yourself now and call another company. I encourage you to read reviews before you hire anyone—there were several negative ones written for this company that reflected very similar experiences as ours, to the point that I would never have contacted them had I read them beforehand. Do yourself a favor and call someone else who actually cares about their customers. PS--zero stars was not an option or that is what they would have received.

Heather Brown: Everyone was so helpful in trying to find a new motor for my hot tub pump. Then tested the capacitor and found it as bad. Saved me$350 for a new motor i didn't need. After changing the capacitor the motor still didn't work . Called them back and Ed walked me through how to spin the motor manually to get it moving. Works perfectly. Would recommend them to everyone. Honest helpful knowledgeable people work here.

However, I have to give Mac five stars plus for his incredible service and care he gives my pool. He Is the most considerate, polite, knowledgeable, patient, service man and can be trusted fully. Sabbath Brake: We had an awful experience with this company. They opened our pool and we were supposed to be on weekly maintenance. They never came weekly. When we asked repeatedly about it, we were told to just deal with it ourselves the weeks they weren't here. We also asked that they let us know when they were working in our fenced in yard so we could put the dogs inside first. The response was that most customers just let them enter and leave freely because the dogs get used to them. We clearly stated we have multiple guard dogs over 100 lbs and they needed to let us know before going into the backyard. Never once did they follow that and multiple times I had to get the dogs inside after they freaked out about strangers coming into the yard. The company could not keep track of when they were at our property and on one occassion, treated our pool twice in one day because of that lack of professionalism and communication. When we finally did get to speak to a manager, it was just him blaming everyone else. He still wasn't sure of how many times and when they had treated our pool because according to him, the other employees are bad at their jobs and using the client systems. Despite us calling and repeatedly asking them to come out weekly, telling them it was becoming a health hazard due to mosquitos and frogs breeding in the water, there was no concern or rush to fix the issue. We went back to our previous pool company and ate the cost of several hundred dollars to get it cleaned and balanced again. A week after telling this company we did not want them to come back, we got a voicemail informing us that the almost $1000 part they ordered was in and asking if we wanted it installed at our next service date. Not once did they ask to order anything for us or say there was an issue with our system. It was simply a lack of service and work on their end. We have had zero problems with the other company and our pool is back to being brilliant blue and clear, no $1000 part necessary. There was no part needed, just proper maintenance. From beginning to end, this company was a nightmare to work with.
Lloyd Childress: The employee working today is the most unprofessional person I have ever experienced in customer service. We called to ask a few questions about hot tub operations since we bought one from there just a few weeks ago. The guy kept cutting us off and stated that they only provide initial instructions and that’s it. DO NOT BUY from these people.

Kari Nimmo: Springfield Pool and Spa has the worst customer service I have experienced in awhile. We purchased a hot tub back in approx. Sept. 2021 and paid cash in full, received it in early 2022. We went in the store probably three times before anybody offered to help us, this is the only store locally that sells this brand or we would of went someplace else. We were told by Kevin that Bullfrog had a $500 rebate going if we purchased when we did and the rebate information would be given to us once it was delivered. Once we received the hot tub we then had to deal with DJ who assured us the rebate info. Would be brought to us with the delivery, it was not brought to us. We inquired kindly and DJ assured us he would get us the rebate info, then telling us we had to reach out to Bullfrog directly to get it. We sent bullfrog an email and they said Springfield Pool and Spa would need to get with the regional manager. After telling them this they again referred us to the bullfrog website for a military only rebate which was never at all mentioned. The day our hot tub was delivered it kept shutting off, we called to let them know, they told us somebody would be out to look at it and they did come look at it but are saying they found nothing wrong. Once we pushed again about the rebate we then received a bill for over $200 for the day they delivered it and they said they would come look at it. Horrible customer service and horrible is very generous of a word! We will never buy anything else at this location and we will spread word to everybody to go elsewhere around town!!

Jonathan Nelson: Great store! The staff is knowledgeable and always friendly. They test your pool or spa water for free and give you a print-out telling you exactly what chemicals to add in the right order to get it balanced. I've been going here for years for all of our pool needs.

This year they lost 3 employees, and cannot take care of loyal custo mers. Do Ki: Had Doug’s Pool and Spa close my pool October 2021 after we purchased our home. When we had them out again in May to open our pool it was full of algae. When I showed the pool representative that I had the frog chlorine he took it and put it in the canister. When the pool cleared up from adding tons of shock I kept testing the water and couldn’t figure out why the chlorine was reading the lowest reading on the stick. I called the previous owner and he graciously came out and checked the frog chlorine canister. It want turned on. I didn’t realize the pool company doesn’t turn on the chlorine and they didn’t say anything to me. No excuses, but I’ve never owned a pool. I take full responsibility for not following after the pool representative from Doug’s pool and Spa. When I received the invoice for opening the pool ($575.73) I noticed they charged me for the chlorine frog canister ($30). I called them to let them know it was mine they used and the lady on the phone was so rude and said subtract the amount from my invoice. A man in the background immediately started yelling saying he needed to see the invoice. The lady continued to yell at me and I told her to settle down. She hung up on me. I decided to go ahead and send the full amount of the invoice and just take a refund when they verified that I did indeed supply the chlorine canister. About a week later I received a copy of the invoice with a handwritten note saying that their pool representative didn’t use my canister and that the full invoice amount was due. I was shocked as I felt I was being called a liar over $30. I’ve always paid my bills and have never tried to do dishonest business with a company. I will never use this pool service and would never recommend them, especially after the way they yelled at me on the phone. The pool service is outrageously expensive and they didn’t even do a good job including not turning on the frog chlorine dispenser.

And to still remain in business all these years later. The man must be doing something right. So maybe all the ones posting negative reviews should rethink their positions,and,understand maybe their work load may possibly allow them to take on new customers, hmmm!All I can add is Doug,keep up the good work you,n,Mark Klaus do!

Ronnie Smith: Everybody here is on point and appear like its running like a well oiled machine. Erin? Kept us informed at all stages of our pool liner installation. Had some after issues and tony came out and got it done. Pool is looking great! I will say, I had done ALOT of research because its ALOT of $. They got it done,on budget and on time... and left me feeling "no worries,call us with any concerns" . Thanks guys!
Heather Long: 1 Star. We hired this company to open our pool because we have never owned an in ground pool before. We figured it would be worth the expense so we could learn from the "professionals" and ask them questions and it would be done right. $532 we were charged to open our pool by them. We asked them how to turn the pump on and off and how to back wash it. They explained it to us and everything they told us was not correct. We found out the right way to do it from our many trips back to a legit pool store that gave us the correct information on how to take care of our pool. When opening the pool this company backwashed our pool and added chemicals but they didn't backwash it long enough and shot all of the dirt back into our pool and it has taken we two weeks of running the pool 24/7 and vacuuming it three times a day to get the pool clean. I assumed that for five hundred dollars that they would check our pool components gaskets and such when they were opening everything up but again I was wrong. Our gasket was so worn out that air was getting into the pump and I found this out myself by googling it and taking a video to a different pool company because the pump was so loud after they left. And this was a piece that she had in her hand while explaining how to work the pump. Don't waste your money.

Buster Crabbe Pools: what do users think?

Any time I have had any issue at all they are quick to help me diagnose the issue and make it out quick as well if a repair is needed. Very reasonably priced and a breeze to work with!

Maricris Mckee: First, we never had any issues with Buster Crabbe, it would have been 5 star if it wasn’t the person that they recommended to us, (and the guy name is Joe) to install our above ground pool. Our issues happened when the installer started the job from digging a whole and putting the sands, which we thought it was great because they start the job as what they said they were going to start, but nope it was just the beginning of our issues! Installer did not came back after a month with the hole and sands got washed out from the rain, which we understand they can’t install pool during rainy day but we had good weather and we even messaged the installer and asked when they will going to proceed the job, as we know weather wise would be good, and he replied to us the day he can come but never showed up, with no communications why they did not showed up, and we just kept messaging him when he can start the pool, but as always he just have so many reasons. ( I have kept all the messages, and our conversations from him.) so finally our above ground pool got installed after a month and a haft. We just even did the finishing up from back filling and decking as part of the job that we asked for the installer to do just because we don’t know when he will be showing up to do it again. But anyway, as our above ground pool goes, we noticed some issues as my husband thinks its from lacking of sands, Its the T-post showing up in the ground inside the pool. My husband called the installer and installer showed up to inspect, without telling us he was coming and (our 16 yr old daughter freaking out as guys walking around our backyard.) I looked at our camera and heard them cursing and calling as idiot, just because he thinks its not an issue for him. I don’t like writing reviews to make people look bad, but when I saw the video of him insulting us, is below the belt.

The saltwater system has allowed us to enjoy low-chlorine water without the smell and itchiness that comes from higher chlorine. Scott and Kelly were super helpful in the buying process. And Scott and Chris have helped me master how to maintain the hot tub (which is easier than I once thought). Just today they spent over 30 minutes giving me the latest information on best practices.

Kelly (and Scott) are both experienced and knowledgeable sales persons, who answered all the questions we had from electrical, how the spa functioned and features we were getting, as well as finding the right spa for our needs. The electrician recommendation was GREAT - prompt, informative and very detail oriented. No messy wiring or questionable installation of control panel with Trinity Electrical. Then came the installation crew....what can I say? Kelly and Scott have the BEST CREW EVER. Placement of Spa, set up and operation instruction could not have been better. Michael (one of the technicians)found a couple "missing clips" while running thru the operation of the spa (which we would not have found) and ordered replacements which will be installed within 3 days. These had no effect on the spas function and were really more cosmetic than anything. As I said, we could not be more pleased with the service we received from The Spa Gallery. Anyone can sell you a spa, and you might be able to save a couple dollars with a lesser brand, but if you want quality products, service during and after the sale, the Spa Gallery is your answer.
