David Calhoun: This place has a parking lot behind it that is for the residents. That is a great feature. However, here is the issue, it isn't clearly marked. The sign they use is on the street, it doesn't specify that is is actually FOR the parking lot. A reasonable person would conclude it is actually meant for cars parked in the street, possibly blocking the entrance.Parking in this lot quickly results in your car being towed, and being held hostage for a $200 fee by RPM Recovery. I have no doubt that The U Springfield receives a kick-back from each vehicle owner RPM extorts for this fee. It benefits The Springfield U to leave this sign in a deceptive, confessing and inconspicuous as possible. They could easily make the sign closer to the two entrances for the parking lot, and have it specify it is referring to users of the parking lot. They could very easily and very cheaply stencil the parking lot, at each parking spot, stating "Resident Parking Only". They will not do any of these courses of action because that would prevent them from perpetuating this scam with RPM Recovery.How does this affect the residents? Imagine it's Friday night and you've come back to your residential parking, only to find all the spots taken because non-residents have taken available spots. Sure, the offenders will be towed away, but the resident now has to wait for that to happen before spot is available. The U Springfield can shrug their shoulders and say "it's not our fault, they parked illegally"; but it is their fault, they are not doing anything to make it clear this is not public parking.
Rafael Morfin: I could type pages and pages of bad things about this place but im going to save your time and say DONT move here. If you do then be prepared to be disappointed.

Mahasin McIntyre: DO NOT LIVE HERE! Hands down the WORST apartment I have ever been at. If I could give a negative rating I would. The management is extremely petty (one of them tried to bully my roommates and I), grossly unable to do their PAID jobs at even the most basic level, and full of people who think it’s better to bribe tenants for good reviews than to actually provide good service. Know that many of the 5-star reviews were bought with Chick-fil-a gift cards.The common areas (elevators, hallways, foyer, etc.) are dirty more often than not and it’s not unusual to find puddles of urine. How much they charge to live here is highway robbery. Do not waste your money or your energy on this place. Look at the other, real ratings FROM PEOPLE’S EXPERIENCES and I promise you’ll understand.

Guvanch Garryyev: It is not the best place to live! The Internet sucks, and the heating system is not working, meaning that if you live here in winter time, you will freeze. I have requested a maintenance request for that and they didn’t send anyone to look at that! I would recommend to look for other places with this price!
Anna Toler: Love the location, I can walk anywhere. Everyone who works here is super casual and welcoming and just overall chill. I love living so close to campus while still being technically a commuter which allows me to feel a little safer. Not to mention the amenities are awesome! I'm so lucky Drury decided to allow students to live here for dorm pricing.

Hannah Parker: Do not lease here. They may seem like a secure, safe building downtown, but I can promise it's far from that. My lease was for a year and I only stayed at Sky 11 for 5 months. I had issues before leasing with them and I had even more issues after. Around Thanksgiving is when I noticed another tenant down the hall being abused by her boyfriend. I informed the management office and they never did anything about it. Two other tenants and I had the call the police multiple times in the following months about the boyfriend because the management office wouldn't do anything. The final straw was when the man threatened to shoot everyone who was calling the police on him and people witnessed him walk out of the building with a rifle. And did management do anything? No. So I moved out and lived with some family in town. We stayed in contact with Sky 11 and they said they'd fix the situation and get back with us. That was December and it is now July. I had to hear from a neighbor when I finished cleaning out my apartment a month ago that management had the tenant move out.And the guy that was threatening everyone with a gun? Had warrants for gun possession and violence in 2 states and other charges against him in Missouri.As for Sky 11 being a secure place, yes you need a key fob to enter some doors, but not all of them. You can EASILY just enter through Druff's and go through the back door. They don't ask questions, they just let you through.For your own safety, find somewhere else to live. You're basically just paying for a room with a decent view and easy access to down town.
Clayton Rauscher: I was assured that I could have a lease ending at the first of December and the general manager gave me the contract with one deceptive piece of information. He wanted to hide the fact that I would be paying for the entire month of December on the first of the month even though I would be moving out of the apartment on the first of December. He told me that there was confusion when I caught his deceptive act and that they do not do contracts that end on the first and that he was just trying to give me what I wanted (not full value). His employee tried to change it do a end of November move out date and he was caught with his pants down when he had to deny it. Don't do business here unless you want to have deceptive management like a used car salesman. I believe his name is Jason.
Moe Moh: Thieves. Absolutely robbed me when I left. Maggie was horrible. Made me feel very unsafe. Lived there a while back, I absolutely do not recommend this place or company to anyone.
Ellie Unerstall: You can't beat Park East's location. All four properties are right downtown, and literally within walking distance of all the popular nightlife. Sky 11 has the most AMAZING views of Springfield (you can see literally everything). Park East's atmosphere really makes it stand out.
Melvin Parker: As a parent, you should know security is very very poor, and management does nothing to help with issues...basically you enter at your on will. Beware!!

I just now got an email months later after requesting further details about a possible apartment for rent here. Man I should have read all these reviews before even sending an inquiry. If I would have read all these reviews I wouldn't of even wasted time sending and email. Sounds like this place needs new staff and management for sure. I've never seen so many complaints in my life on how bad the entire staff is. No wonder they have like 3 stars or less. Pretty pathetic they continue to throw what could be such an amazing place down the drain. I told them just by not replying in timely manner that they lost a customer. I am taking my business elsewhere and only hope others do as well. I feel so bad for those stuck in leases there already and only hope they find the many other apartments around there for lease that will be way better and treat them better.
Airsound Broadcast: We loved living there until it be came a pig place floors dirty. The community area a mess bathroom not working. Pool table with no pool cues and the heated pool is not. Pool not open often in summer. We lost power in the entire apartment building the exit signs not lit. We have several doors with only 3 ways in not 6 like we should. Repairs that have not occurred. Unresponsive staff.
Ben Roux: Worst communication practices I have ever seen. Emails go unanswered and staff often struggle to give definitive answers to anything. Website is often broken and you have to call the public leasing number to get help or service as a tenant. Maintenence is decent through the phone app.I warn people in my student orgs not to rent here.

gisforgroves: Doug at Brentwood Management was phenomenal to rent from. When my vehicle was broken into on the 4th of July, he delivered a new garage remote to me personally within an hour of notice. When I had to suddenly move to another state, he worked with me to get out of the remaining two months of my lease. Had I stayed in Springfield, I would have definitely continued to rent from Brentwood.
Dennis Heckman: Our son stayed in one of their apartments for two years. It was an older building but very well maintained. Throughout the two year period, anytime there was an issue it was handled promptly and fairly. We even got most of our deposit back which is unheard of in a college town. I highly recommend renters use Brentwood Management.
Kevin Bates: A really fantastic company to lease from. The properties are well maintained and the owners are great people as well. If you ever need anything from the maintenance dept. they arrive quickly and get the job done right! I highly recommend.

Summerwood place is well located and management is always willing to listen and help very friendly people. The buildings are well kept and the lawn is well manicured . Kyle Campbell: When you pick up or turn in keys the lady in the office will ask where you are moving into/out of. What she means to ask is your ADDRESS. I had a good experience with my apartment, but the office staff, or at least one member of the staff, is unfriendly to say the least. It all came down to one thing at move in and move out. Wish I would have remembered move in to avoid it at move out. You will be asked a vague question about where you live and if you answer with the complex name she will stare at you with raised brows, wide eyes, an open mouth, and a both palms up with thrusting hands while she says “WHERE?!”.
Peter Badovinac: Rented from Brentwood for over a year. They were great to deal with the entire way through... from finding an apartment and touring a number of places, to signing the lease, to living there, and finally to ending my lease as I left town for another job. Would definitely recommend anyone in Springfield to take a look at their properties. I would also encourage anyone moving to Springfield to live downtown.
Jay Williams: Rent with caution!! Their customer service is horrendous at the very least and you will notice that as soon as you walk into their office. I have had multiple instances of being ignored and rude. Be ready for management to give tours of your apartment. Although they are supposed to give 24 hour notice, I have rarely gotten that. When I asked if my apartment could not be toured as much, I got a strict no and that I had no right to ask. Please be careful when renting with Brentwood!
Geoff Chambers: Rented with Brentwood for 6 years in two different lofts. Great people, great service and upkeep along with a great experience. Highly recommended!
Amanda LaLiberte: Moving to Springfield, temporarily and from out of state, seemed like a daunting task. Thankfully we were referred to Brentwood Management. Ali Rich, our leasing agent, was incredibly helpful. We were unable to see any unit in person but Ali went above and beyond with answering my endless picky and detailed questions on MANY different units and sending additional photos than were shown online. We knew exactly what to expect without ever seeing the loft. The other tenants at Jordan Creek are friendly and quiet. The parking lot may flood (VERY infrequently) but info on that is written in the lease and you know what to expect/how to handle it. We did not really need any maintenance throughout the year but any contact with management was friendly and helpful. Jordan Creek is close to downtown and right next to Hammons Field. Baseball cheering, sirens and trains are frequent but you get used to it. We would absolutely recommend Springfield Lofts and wish we could find a place as nice/affordable in the next city we live in.
Ashley Baugus: Over the past nine years I have rented from Brentwood Management, at two locations downtown. They have always exceeded my expectations when it came to repairs, upkeep, and any other concerns I may have had. They are understanding, very easy to communicate with and are always working to make improvements to the benefit of the renter! Which isn't always the case! My experience has been an overall joy, I'll be sad to move on from them. Would recommend to my closest family and friends. If you have any reservations whatsoever, consider it satisfied.
Heather Plumlee: Leasing from Brentwood Management at Olive Place has been a great experience. The manager & office staff have always been friendly and quick to respond. The building is clean, safe, & the residents I've had the pleasure of meeting have all been neighborly. I can't imagine a better spot if you want downtown living just minutes away from great food, nightlife, movies, & community events. The private parking lot is a huge bonus to living at Olive Place. The loft is beautiful & modern. The building it's self is quiet & homey. I most definitely recommend this loft building & the great people from Brentwood Management!

I wish I could give them negative zero, they are a piss poor group of people and a dog shouldn't live there let alone any person who is smart and have a bit of sense. Contacting the BBB their disgustingly smug to be so damn ignorant. Do not rent from them!

I got told some information over the phone and then when I went in person I was a completely different story. They are extremely rude to college students, even thought they are their biggest market. Honestly I don't have an issue with the apartment at all, but I feel like if I ever have to call management to fix anything they'll probably just hang up the phone on me and forget about it. I've never encountered a more unprofessional leasing staff than this one.
George Lamelza: Been living in one of their lofts for nearly three years. Any issues they always address. Their team has been nothing but friendly and responsive. They have the nicest and best maintained lofts downtown for business professionals.

Tallis Lockos: Generally speaking, this dormatory has been well-maintained. After all if these years, it is still comfortable, with great amenities. Great, easy living option closest to most classes.
Jackie Elking: They literally confiscated my snail. You are allowed to have fish here, so I got an aquatic snail to keep my small tank clean. People on the floor are cool. The staff is very mean and scream at you, and makes you uncomfortable.

Desmond Warren: This was my home from Aug 2014 - May 2016, for my freshman and sophomore years. This is the best residence hall on campus in my opinion. Blair-Shannon dining hall right in front, PSU to the right, and the rec center to the left. Plus it's the closest to the academic side of campus. Community style is also the cheapest to live in. I made a lot of great friends here and there is always something to do. Whether that be your RA's putting on experiences or randomly joining someone's movie night. I would recommend Freddy for anyone who wants to actually have the college experience and make their mark at MSU!
Justin Mason: I would stay that Freddy is the most social dorm on campus. 2EM and 2WM will get the must traffic. Had a good random roommate! Be careful on Thursdays nights!!!

Paul Johnston: A completely shady "apartment complex." They lie, they cheat, and they steal. They also do not abide by legal codes nor American laws.
Calvin DeMaggio: Me and 5 other friends were looking for apartments for the next semester and Cyndin was amazing with every step of the way. We toured The Q’ube and I attended an open house at 800 South to get a feeling on where we should stay. Cyndin answered every question I had in person or over the phone when I started the app/lease signing process. This is my first apartment, and I couldn’t have lucked out any more than I could’ve with Cyndin helping us along with Elevate.

Mattis Koch: Great locations but that‘s about the only positive thing about Elevate. When we moved in, our furniture was severely damaged. We requested new furniture multiple times, but are always told to reach out again in the future. They charge you for things and do not disclose what for. Maintenance requests get marked as resolved although nobody ever shows up. Cars in the Qube parking lot were broken into and they have not cleaned the glass for over a month. Overall not a great experience after living here for half a year.

Grace Nix: I literally have nothing good to say about this apartment. Apartment was absolutely disgustingly dirty on move in day, bottoms of your feet would turn BLACK if you walked without shoes on. It seems like absolutely nothing here is ever in working condition and we are calling maintenance every other week. They were charging me $70 more for monthly rent than all of my other roommates with the same exact lease for the first 3 months. My car got towed from the parking lot WITH a parking pass. The office ladies and the property manager are very rude over the phone and not helpful whatsoever. I could go on and on about all of the problems we’ve had since moving in but it’s easier to just say that it’s more of a hassle to live here than anything else. You can tell they value their money over their residents.

Gracie OConnell: I have lived at The Cube with Elevate Student Living since August. They have roommate matching forms you fill out when you sign a lease with them. However, I was placed in an apartment on the fourth floor with 3 other roommates who has the exact opposite preferences. Leading to roommate’s conflicts and not having a real healthy living environment. Roommate matching is advertised but in my experience it was not a good match in fact the exact opposite. So I wouldn’t count on the roommate matching.With this being a difficult matching situation, in order for one of us to transfer- even though it was offered as we can transfer to a different room assignment with one lease when one would open up, we would have to take out another lease or have someone take over our current lease in order to get a new lease.These problems tend to happen a lot with student living in general so I was not shocked as to having problems although this was my second student living apartments I expected it to be a better and different experience.Main property manger refused to speak with me unless it was under email, but other leasing managers were very kind and supportive.Maintenance has been very responsive and helpful.Upon move in, I had no shower head, and the dishwasher was broken and stained.I also initially had a covered parking sticker , I got a new car but the would not allow me to get another covered parking sticker, just a regular parking sticker. My car was totaled so I was trying to replace the one I had. I had also been paying for covered parking the entire time.I will not be renewing due to my poor experience here at Elevate Student Living.

They have a number where you can text in case you don’t have time to run by the office or may not want to.Maintenance is also very respectful of your unit and make sure to communicate with you about any issues or changes that may arise when addressing problems in the unit.When I moved in the apartment it was basically spotless and I came from a past apartment that had the place trashed when I moved in, so I was incredibly thankful I didn’t have to worry about that at this apartment!I’ve read some past reviews about wifi issues, but I haven’t experienced anything problematic regarding the internet connection. Always been able to get my homework done. It’s generally a pretty quiet complex too, which is nice!Overall, I recommend Deep Elm. I can’t speak for other apartments as I haven’t lived there, but from knowing their management, I have no doubt they put forth equal efforts for their other locations. I also really appreciate how kind and nonjudgmental their staff is, makes their office feel like a safe space when you walk in!

Darien Gideon: Would Not Recommend. I would give zero stars if I could. I called multiple times today to try to speak with someone. The phones just rang through to the answering machine. Heather sent me a text message saying she’d be happy to answer my questions. I asked about pricing and never made it further than that. I asked about pricing for all of their four bedroom unit options, they have 4 types. She would only give me two of the pricing options. I reiterated multiple times that I would like to know the pricing options for all of them. She finally told me a third, but said she wouldn’t tell me the fourth because there were not Male rooms available in the fourth unit if he type. I am not a male, nor did she even ask my gender. When I said I was not male and I would still be interested in having that information, I stopped getting a response. I tried emailing as well to get further information and was not able to get any response. Due to the lack of communication I decided to go into the office for assistance. The manager Danielle was there and said she could help me. I inquired about pricing and she told me it was between $660 and $675 a month. I asked if this was the pricing between each type of 4 bedroom unit, and she said she wouldn’t get into details like that because I was didn’t have an exact move in time frame to give her. I asked about parking they have numbered parking spots, but she said it was free parking, which I think she was referring to the parking behind the office building. They advertise bike storage which is just bike racks, like anywhere else. Overall they wanted to talk in circles without providing actual information. The pricing from the manager Danielle and the leasing agent Heather were completely different ranges.. They were not welcoming, they were rude, spoke with a tone as if they were talking to someone beneath them, and very unfriendly. I wouldn’t rent with them! I can’t imagine how they treat their residents if this is how they treat people interested in renting from them.
Hà Anh Cao: Not recommended!!!!My friend got insulted by the management team. She was being told to shut up and cut off my friend when she tried to explain the problem and have to pay the damage that she didnt make.The management team is racist as well eventhough there are a lot of POC living there! And guess what the managers are siblings so my friend cannot even say anything! If the management team can read this comment, dont even dare to delete it. I'll make sure I'll post everywhere about this and tell everyone about this racist place!!

Justin Warren: Within my short time dealing with Beacon, I have been very impressed with my experience so far. The staff has been incredibly helpful and responsive, making the move-in process very easy and if any questions arise they are always will to help out. The apartment itself is spacious and the location is convenient and with in walking distance of campus. I highly recommend Beacon for anyone looking for a comfortable and convenient place to call home.

Joel De Jong: I am moving in this month. Heather has been very helpful with the administrative process. She answered any questions that I had clearly and promptly, making sure that I understood. The facility itself is very well kept. Individual leases and all-inclusive utilities make monthly payments simple. The largest appeal to me was that the location is walking distance to my classes. If the high quality of service continues after moving in, I can see the Beacon being where I stay during all my years of education.

They made me feel at home so fast. The staff made moving in/out super easy and smooth. There are also many community amenities such as a gym, computer lab (free printing), a lounge, and many more. I find myself utilizing them every day!

Alex Easterling: I recently ran into a problem of needed to find a place to live, and find it fast. Beacon was super helpful in not only assisting me with finding tons of places in the area, but also helping me with anything I might have needed. The staff was very friendly and supportive and you truly feel like they want you to stay at Beacon Suites. I’ll be moving in during August and can’t wait for that day!
Caitlyn Sellers: Beacon is a great place to live if you don’t want good wifi.. I’ve lived here for 3 years now and every time they come to fix our Wi-Fi it gets worse. Other than the horrible Wi-Fi everything else is good but it’s just very annoying when everything is online and I don’t always want to have to leave my house to have Wi-Fi.

The apartments are reasonably priced and located within a 5 minute walk to campus. Management is always extremely quick to respond whether it be maintenance or general questions.
Andrew Davis: Great apartments with private bedrooms and bathrooms, amazing office staff who remember everyone by name (quite an impressive feat), a maintenance team that has saved my keister many times over, a snazzy coffee maker, and distances so close to campus you can walk there. I have lived here for nigh on two years and would happily do so again!
Mark Meads: I’ve lived at Beacon for over two years and it has been an incredible experience! The staff is incredibly attentive, responsive, and helpful at all hours. There are always several available parking spots which is luxury I never knew I would value. Most importantly, the buildings are in a great location, which becomes invaluable during the cold walks to MSU’s campus during the winter. I could go on and on about all of the positives! At the end of the day, living at Beacon was one of the best choices I could make!!
