Alina Isle: The private dining rooms make this a great spot for a date because you can converse comfortably in a quiet space. Excellent sushi, nice presentation and the service was great but low key, which I really appreciated. The meal included a small bowl of miso soup. Scott Mueller: Tried out a new place it was fun checking out different rolls. We had the Rich and Famous which was shrimp, avocado, cucumber, cream cheese deep fried with spicy crab on top. Innocence Roll as well which was a California roll with crab and coconut on top.

Troy Harris: The atmosphere is nice, patrons are seated in private booths. The server was a little crass and reminded me of my favorite dinner waitress. Wine is served in colored goblets, hard to explain there not elaborate but kind of funny. They have bulgogi on the menu and that was the reason for my visit. Once I found out it is only served with rice and not the traditional bulgogi accompaniments I was bummed out and settled for over priced mediocre at best sushi.

We waiting over 40 minutes after our scheduled reservation time and when we asked her about our table she was nothing but rude to us and said you’ll get seated whenever I can while proceeding to make us wait another 20 minutes. Debbie Welter: We had a confirmed email reservation but they didn't have it in their computer. We only had to wait 10 minutes to get seated. Emily was our server and she was very friendly and helpful. Ramon was our chef & he was great! We had 3 birthdays in our group of 7 & he made sure to acknowledge them. The food was outstanding and we took plenty home. After reading some of the negative reviews, I am happy to say our experience at Hinode was one where we'll definitely return next time we're in town.

Jared Taylor: This place has ripped us off for the last time. We used to come to this restaurant because we found it to be a much better experience in price, flavor and service than nakato or any other hibachi style grill. They have since raised their prices, lost the good cooks and make no apologies or anything when they over charge your card. Just last night I ordered take-out. They tried to give me ice cold soup, they left out sauce that I paid for and even though I ordered extra noodles they left out my vegetables. Then they charge me for a $23 dollar tip. Which I did not authorize. Watch this place very carefully.

Sara Benson: My co-workers and I had to go sushi and sides for lunch, and were disappointed to learn that we also had to pay $1.00 for a 2 oz. side of seafood sauce... and then to top it off, I didn't even get the dang sauce in my to go bag! I get that prices are rising for everyone, but there are plenty of other sushi places in town that usually give you at least one free sauce with an order!

The volcano comes on fire but got soggy with time and was not appetizing even after about 10 minutes.We got the combination bento for our daughters to share with a cali roll and shrimp tempura and they loved it! Lots of food and perfect for two kids or two light eaters!All in all the food was good, kind of high on price. But it’s an experience!
