Springfield Rod & Gun Club: what do users think?
Matt McCullough: This gun club is a private club. There is no “customer service” because there are no customers. It’s locked up because people would ignore the “Private Club” signs and come in. If you know a member, they would gladly try to help out with a non profit outing. There are many events out there for kids, high schoolers, and college. Sorry for any confusion if you thought this was a place of business, but it is once again, a private club for members and their guests. Thank you.
Deana Ward: The number is disconnected and range locked up. No info posted to the site and no number to call for questions.
Turner Slagle: Great lay out and beautiful area
Tiffany Piatchek: This place is amazing!!
Dave S: Awful customer service. Called up wanting to use the range for our non-profit's range day, the dumb-dumb who answered the phone thought I was a solicitor and refused to give me more than three words to explain. Their website is non-existent, zero posted hours or contact email addresses, I've tried calling for a week before I was hung-up on to discuss using their range and did not get an answer. I don't usually write reviews but figured I should let everyone know it's in their best interests to take their business elsewhere. I'd rate them 0 stars if I could.
Michael Earley: Great facilities, excellent layout, professional setup.

The Barley House at Moon Town Crossing: what do users think?
Narjes Rs: It is church for all generations.Join us and you cannot leave us:)
Bibin Mathew: Nice place
Ginger McCullough: The Barley House is a beautiful venue for any occasion. We held our first official Induction ceremony there and were pleased with everything! Cassie is amazing to work with and she went out of her way to make sure the set-up and the meal were exactly what the kids wanted. A great experience for our students and their families!
Shelly Womack: Nice atmosphere and was warm inside on a very cold day.
Logan Scott: We had a great experience for our wedding. Both Cassie and Morgan were so amazing to work with - they kept open communication on when we would be able to set up for the wedding as well as were available upon request throughout the planning process. Highly recommend this event space! (We got rave reviews from the guests as well!)Drapery/Greenery Chandeliers: Shannon's Custom FloralCake: Charity Fent Cake DesignsPhotos: Elise Abigail PhotographyFlorals: Finn & Olive FloralDecor: Me!
Cassie McMillin: The venue and space was gorgeous. Unfortunately the execution of time and staff management was not there. Over an hour after the venue was open to set up, 3 hours before guest arriving, there was one staff member there setting up and 15-20 of the bride and grooms family members were running around setting up tables and even organizing the layout of the venue. There were decorations confirmed to be included in the venue prior to the weekend, as simple as drapes on the beams, were communicated as not included to the bride and groom hours leading up to the reception. The entire wedding party had empty plates, not including almost every guest plate, sitting in front of them through every speech, first dance, and mother/groom and father/daughter dance - over the course of an hour minimum. At several points I questioned if the venue included service staff or not during the reception. The coordinator was very apparently frustrated towards the middle of the reception and made many people aware there was an exceptional shortage of staff, which i understand is not her fault. All in all, the timeliness of communication was not good. The ball was dropped in many places and hopefully management of the staff and venue seeks proper training and changes necessary. This venue had so much potential, but ultimately the bride shouldn’t be stressed to tears with set-up of the reception venue a few hours before the event started, especially if the price of the space includes staff to create a seamless experience for your big day. It was far from a seamless experience.
Emily Garnier: The barley house was worse than 1 star. This place had 1 staff member available the entire wedding and she did nothing. Laina made comments house she was “so over these people” TO GUEST at the wedding. They bride was told that drapes on the ceiling were included, they were not included, nor were the set up for the day. Laina went up to the bride, on the dance floor, many times through the night to tell her more things such as they were shutting the bar down early, music had to be off by 11 due to city ordinance and many other issues. No staff members did a single thing to help the entire night. This place has much more potential than what was offered. They caused so much stress for the bride and groom that was so unnecessary.
Abby McMillin: If I could give the wedding coordinator and staff at 0 star I would. Super unprofessional. Terrible communication.Save yourself and Do Not book your wedding here.
Emily McMillin: Venue- beautiful.Staff, set up, everything else- absolutely TERRIBLE. Cassie, the coordinator promised us so many things when we booked with the barley house including full set up and clean up along with staff members to help with anything we needed during the reception. We got NONE of these things. My family helped set up the entire space because there was only one girl there to set up. Cassie was also impossible to communicate with during the months and weeks leading up to my wedding. I had to call and email her multiple times to get a response back. During the reception, staff members continually came up to me (at my own wedding reception) telling me the music actually needed to be shut of at 11:00 since they get “noise complaints.” It was 7pm at the time and we were promised the space until midnight. The same staff members began cutting guests off at the bar at 9pm because she thought they had “ordered too many drinks.” At the end of the night, my in laws and family members began bussing the tables because the staff members were sitting in the back eating our food. I’m a pretty easy going person, but by the end of the night I was asking the staff to leave completely because they were doing more harm than good. Absolutely terrible staff and it would have made the night so much better if they just weren’t even there at all.
Stacie Copeland: The Barley House was absolutely amazing for a corporate event we had. Not only was the venue in tip top shape, but it actually included staff to help with the event. They helped provide recommendations for vendors I had not used before and had plenty of indoor and outdoor space. It was the perfect mix of both for an all day-multi/themed event. We had corporate meetings and speakers during the day with a Carnival/party vibe at night. Cassie was such a pleasure to work with. From answering constant emails and questions to scheduling last minute meetings and walk through she was constantly running around and/or helping. I highly recommend Moontown!
Ema Textor: Although I didn’t book this venue I did visit them and they’re absolutely stunningly beautiful!! The hosts are also super friendly! I visited with them at the Bridal Expo show and at their venue and would definitely recommend this venue to anyone!!!
Karen Mason: Missouri ACTE has been using the Barley House at Moon Town Crossing for the past for the past three years in July for our Awards Celebration and it is an awesome facility. The staff is awesome to work with both at the Barley House and Macdoodles! We love being able to host our event here, it is a beautiful facility! Thank you Cassie for helping us make our event special!
Diana Flannigan: We held our volunteer appreciation event at the Barley House. Everyone was impressed with the beauty of the venue. The indoor and outdoor spaces provided everything we needed for our celebration. The staff was friendly and accommodating, and we will definitely be hosting events here again.
Kimberly Pate: The ladies at The Barley House were nice, supportive, and very helpful the entire time from planning to the very end! Wonderful and beautiful venue!
Mic T: We loved using the Barley House! Cassie + Payal we’re so incredibly great to work with leading up to the event and the day of. The process was smooth and simple, and they took care of table, chairs, and projector set up and tear town. The venue worked excellent for a corporate event we held with seating at round tables (8 per table) for 144. You could definitely fit more people but this filled out the room nicely while still allowing ample room for attendees to walk around and a lot of space on the sides for our catering setup.
Elizabeth kubitschek: I LOVED this venue with I first signed contracts on it. Cassidy Palmer was the coordinator at the time. Since she has left the staff have frustrated me more then I can say.Beautiful Venue. Yes. But for the price I expect more from the staff. Cassie, the newest coordinator seems so scatter brained. All over the place. The morning of my wedding while getting ready she had a potential client walk through the barley house. During the time I rented out for my WEDDING while I was sitting there with my girls getting ready. The night of the wedding it rained. Water was coming out of the roof over my husband and and I as we tried to eat.Rehearsal was mostly spent with staff trying to get mics working when that wasn’t needed because my DJ had everything. Before I walked down the aisle my mother-in-law and family members were throwing boxes everywhere because staff decided to mop instead of helping set up like I was promised when I signed. I was told “tear down and set up was on the staff” At the end of the night they had my family cleaning. I paid such a huge price for this venue because I promised tear down, set up, all the things. And lastly. My Christmas tree. I loaned them a 12ft Christmas tree. Just picked it up this week and my lights were not given back to me.So frustrated.
Been There: Attended the wife's 50th H.S. reunion here and it was a beautiful place bar none! We highly recommend it!
Denise Dunaway: We loved this venue! Interestingly, the building was built with wooden dowels (no screws) and is impressive. I can’t wait to show my engineer dad this spot next time he is in town. The staff was awesome to work with. Sami was amazing to work with and made sure our event was awesome. Highly recommend!
Murray Beairsto: Held a fundraiser on September 2, 2021. Very poor management leadership. Turnover in staff caused havoc and a lot of work for our own group to do;work we paid them to do. Required to use Macadoodles for the bar and they could not provide appropriate staff. Overall a poor experience.
Tina Johnson: Beautiful venue
Harriett Long: The girls at The Barley House are AMAZING!!!!! They made our wedding day run so smoothly. It was so perfect! I HIGHLY recommend spending your special day at this venue. The building is so beautiful and it feels so authentic compared to other barn-like venues. The girls made everyone feel so welcomed and made sure we were all taken care of, making our experience stress free!
