SeniorAge Area Agency on Aging: what do users think?
Cindy Byers: Very Limited hours of service and you must call ahead to get an appointment. Be sure to get the person's name who calls you back because they will not look it up if you miss your call back to set up an appointment. The end of their work day is 3pm evidently, and they are not open on Fridays. They only set appointments on Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursdays between 9am-12noon
Kenny Moore: Very helpful
Ronald Wehner: Tax preparation. I was there on the wrong day but still got it done. Great big thank you!!!!
Pamela Billingsley: Senior age is amazing. They helped navigate and access services after loosing my job. Family services didn't even answer their phone. Treva met with me and was a tremendous help. Very impressed with this organization.
Linda Hickson: They truly help. I have worked with many non profits. This agencies will do what they promise in a timely manner. It may take a week are so sometimes due to our economy. You dont have to worry. they send follow up letters. Absolutelythe best senior program.
Jennifer Austin: Couldn't help me at all according to them due to lack of funding. Couldn't promise help in the future due to not knowing amount of funding available...
Charles Crim: BETTER BE 60 YEARS OLD OR FORGET GETTING ANY HELP HERE!!Hi, this is senior age calling for ? You had sent a message asking about possible Services. I do believe in your in your message. You had put that you are 59 years old. I will let you know that senior age are any of our services are for people who are 60 and over unless possibly you might need help applying for Medicaid. We do have someone who can help with that. Call back if if you do have additional questions, but just wanted to let you know that thank you. Thanks for nothing!
Brenda Thurlow: Very large place inside.
Theresa Summers: I received many services from theses folks after my stroke by.
Linda Prichard: Great place and people are friendly and helpful.
Jess Brosto: Stopped in today to try and get my mother signed up for the farmers market food assistance vouchers. She had just learned about the program on the website where it explained to come in during June to be signed up. When we arrived we were told it was only certain days of the week and only during certain hours. This information is NOWHERE on their website, facebook page or anywhere else. When trying to get info from the woman at the counter, she could offer no assistance, nor did she offer to see if there was anyone else present who could help get us more information. What government entity euns the program? How can we contact them? Does she have to be present or can someone act a a proxy? Was there anyone else in the building that could offer more info? Where on the website were the hours and locations to get vouchers? None of these questions could be answered. When I asked HOW we could find out reliable info, we were told she would just have to call any time she saw a program she was interested in to get more info. How are seniors supposed to access these services when the organization can't even be bothered to update their own webpages? This is not the first issue she had had with the organization. On more than one occasion during Covid she tried to call in to get information on medicare and to see where she could get tax help. Twice she was told someone would have to call her back and no one ever did.I doubt the organization even reads their reviews, but please, DO BETTER, SENIORAGE!!
Marsha Deragowski: These women in this office building are the rudest. It makes me wonder if the are helping themselves instead of who they should be. This office needs a audit. Actually I think they should be reported to Jefferson city.cause adding a comment here doesn't mean anything.
rita cox: I work there. It is a wonderful place to work. So many programs for our Seniors.
Troy Miller: Friendly and helpful service.
Beth Netzer: Very friendly and helpful great people
Julianne Turner: We went without an appointment and they were so welcoming, setting us up an appointment later and sharing resources
Teej League: SeniorAge has been an amazing organization for my aunt, grandmother, and aging friends. The number of programs they offer is astounding. They offer all kinds of non-bias assistance for seniors who need home renovation projects, but don't know which organization is reliable....for tax-counseling...for Medicare enrollment and comparison of various plans....working with other non-profits to provide rides to seniors in need, medical assistive devices, and meals. These are just a few of the ways that SeniorAge serves as a center of help in our community. Their services are free and their workers and volunteers will never try to push a particular program on you.
Robin Beck Horton: Kind and sweet people in our community assisting seniors
Jeanie “Opal” Kelley: Fabulous place if you need assistance. Very friendly.
Chanse Nichol: SeniorAge is a great resource for all Seniors in the Southwest Missouri Area.
Shirley Blades: They have good programs for the elderly
