The Montclair Senior Living: what do users think?
Jordan Odem: Amazing renovated community with caring staff! The events held here for the residents and their families are top shelf! The administration and staff pours their hearts into The Montclair everyday for the benefit of the residents.
Sandra Webb: It is so Beautiful. Kinda reminds me of a hotel
Thresa Ann (Nana): The meals are skimpy for $10. I am told that you run out of food items before the end of your designated meal time. The resident count is pretty stable so something is off. Thanks.
P M: Nice
Robert Ortendahl: We came into the Montclair to check it out and left signing up to move in by June. My wife and I were impressed by how professional every one was. They have a restaurant type menu 3 times a day. They have a full schedule of activities for all. Residents are treated like VIP’s and also like families. Apartments are going through full renovations. Met the director and assistant director and felt we were family members. Bravo Montclair!!!!😋😊😃Bob & Paula Ortendahl
David Bingham: I came by to do an inspection of the roof and must say the staff left a wonderful impression on me. They very clearly care about the residents and that shows not only in the building's cleanliness, but also in the staff/resident conversations I overheard. It also shows in the expectations they have, of me, as a contractor while I was there.Working with Jennifer and Amanda was such a treat, I would definitely recommend my and other's family to live at The Montclair.
John McDowell: Very nice place, and I know my mother has a safe and comfortable place to live.
Charlene Curtis: Love the Montclair. They go above and beyond for the residents!!!
MAO: The perfect place for my aunt. The staff always very helpful!
Mary Millen: The Montclair is taking fabulous care of my elderly parents....the Staff isa fabelous and the Caretakers go above and beyond...The residents are always so happy! The newly remodeled Salon is leased by a designer Stylist who has great reviews....couldn't ask for better for our folks !!!!HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!!!!
Mallory: I am incredibly impressed with The Montclair! My mother moved there last July and loves it! She raves about the food, staff and activities. I am thrilled she is in a safe place, having a wonderful time and making new friends. The staff is kind, caring and go above and beyond for my mom. Her apartment is beautiful! The entire community is gorgeous, clean and well kept. I highly recommend!!
Tom Waddell: Front desk Lady completely took care of my mother-in-law's needs, this afternoon. She went way up, and beyond, to alleviate her concerns., in an immediate manner!
Jennie Strahan: My parents lived at the Montclair for the last 4 years of their lives (2018-2022). There were some major challenges to the Montclair, not the least of which was the pandemic, which strained almost all organizations to their breaking point. However, the people at the Montclair worked tirelessly to maintain the best of conditions during the worst of times. My folks remained healthy and never contracted the virus - in large part because of the cautiousness and safety exemplified at the Montclair. My parents loved the Montclair, the people; specifically Amanda the Director and her fabulous team, the other residents (most of them anyways wink), and the nursing staff affiliated with the Montclair, Nurse Amy from Cox Health at Home and all of the Helping Hands aides (you know who you are). When I think of some of those folks who supported mom and dad during the last years of their lives - which were challenging sometimes beyond imagination - I am filled with gratitude. The caregivers who served my parents all had the most generous spirits and they gave all they could to mom, dad, my sister and I. I will always be thankful for the Montclair and the years my folks called it home. God bless you all!
Lisa Doran: My mother is a resident; although it is a nice facility, the cafeteria needs A LOT of work! She is a diabetic; I make all of her meals, because they do not have a diabetic menu; on the rare occasion she orders from the cafeteria they mess it up EVERY-TIME! Tonight she got (at SEVEN THIRTY PM… when we ordered dinner at 1:30, (and called TWICE to check on it; being told it was coming) she got chicken wings, Mac and cheese; when we said no, she can not have that; the poor 17 year old girl said the kitchen was closed (keeping in mind, she was waiting on dinner to take her insulin) this poor kid went down and made the chef salad that we had ordered, this is so unexceptional, and it’s not the first time! I have talked to them and even wrote a letter to the kitchen, explaining her situation; I have even resorted to leaving a note on her door asking them not to leave food, unless we order it (when the kitchen closes for different reasons, they send out sack lunches, of course with bread, and deserts!) My family is beyond disappointed! They also knock at her door every other day or so and tell her to open and close her door, that her alarm is going off. (After 6 months there, I would think they could get that fixed) instead of knocking at her door after 8:00 PM and scaring her.Really hope we see a change soon!IT’S NOT OK!!!!
Mike Scott: I was here to be with my mom for thanksgiving and let me just say the food for the thanksgiving meal was so delicious turkey was juicy and tender.Me and the family came back yesterday to spend Christmas with her. The buffet style setting with so much options to choose from and the prime rib station that was set up as they sliced the meat for you, everything was well thought out. The staff was friendly and kind. Keep up the great work you all.
TJ: Had lunch there. Food was terrible.
Ashlynn White: Wonderful place for my great grandma! The staff and residents are all very nice. They have community meals and activities that really help my grandma not to feel isolated.
Steve McNutt: I think, for the money the seniors are paying, they're not getting their money's worth, if you ask me. It's still a good place to live, if you have that kind of money.
bri barragan: best place to live and work at! very friendly residents and easy to maneuver !
Dina Eslick: Food is Terrible, Not fit to be Serving to the Senion's there in the building! Servis is very Poor, they can't keep help, Very Sad Situation. For the Elderly to be living...
Faye Myers: Just visited someone here yesterday and found it secure, clean, bright, and with an open aspect to the design which was nice.

Lakewood Senior Living: what do users think?
Lisa Hunnell: Mary Kay the Activitie's Director goes all out to make sure the residents have plenty of things to look forward to. Mary Kay plans get away to ballgames, lunches, music shows, site seeing and much more. Dan, the "Chef" makes the most delicious meals for the residents and their family if you'd like to join them!! 5 stars for Mary Kay and Dan. The outside could use some help with appearance, there's repairs that need to happen with the sidewalks and there's quite a few dead shrubs that should be pulled and new ones planted. My Dad has been there for several years and loves all the attention that he gets from the staff and the people that comes to entertain !
Brianna Bills: My grandmother was a resident for 4 years, and they took excellent care of her. The staff was very good at communicating any and all issues or questions to the family, very proactive. They were kind and cared about their residents and helped provide relief to the family knowing that she was well taken care of.
Lynn Smith: The Arbors at Lakewood deserves a million stars! My aunt has been here almost five years and the peace of mind I have knowing she is well cared for from 1,000 miles away is priceless. What others have referenced is true - the staff is amazing. Many have been here for years and years. The parent company, Americare, is also interested in feedback and does an annual survey. I have seen my feedback produce improvements - ex. a few years ago I suggested they should update furniture and it then happened the following year. I've said many times to CC Kirby, if I need a memory care place when I get older I'm coming here. CC is the best and is definitely part of the reason her team stays here.
Scott Kinsey: When you make the decision that assisted living or memory care is needed for a loved one, it can feel overwhelming. I went through this with my dad a few years ago. It was a sad time, because he had been very independent until that time, and now I was going to have to make decisions that were the best for him and I worried.I visited a number of care facilities, and I have to be honest, at first glance Lakewood didn't seem as "nice" as some of the others. Their lobby isn't as fancy as some in town. It wasn't bad, but just not quite as fancy. Then I met the staff. That is what really set Lakewood apart. The staff here is truly amazing. They care for each resident as a member of their family. They know their likes, their dislikes and really treat my dad as a "best friend".This work is demanding, and turnover in the industry seems high, but not at Lakewood. I don't know how they find these angels that work there, but many of them have been there for years and years. Fu - the manager of the facility, started as a chef for them, and worked his way up. Many of their folks have. While my dad has been at Lakewood, he is happy and content. I always ask if he needs anything, and he replies "Anything I can think I need, the folks here have already got me."At the time you're going to have to make this decision for a parent, you'll feel a lot of stress, and you won't be sure you're making the right decision. You cannot go wrong with Lakewood. They are truly amazing people doing amazing work and I'm so grateful to have found them.
Sherry Meyers: Making a decision on an assisted living location was not an easy one. From the moment I walked in to Lakewood it felt homey. Jan walked me through the facility and answered all my questions. I met with Amber and Cici who both were very helpful. My mom has been at Lakewood and for about a year and has several new friends in both locations. She is always commenting on the staff. She is involved in all of the activities and stays very active. Lakewood and The Arbors is like family to her, we love the staff and cannot say enough good things about them.
Debbie Wiser: We have been so pleased with the care that our mother has received at the Arbors. The staff is very kind and attentive; they have gone the extra mile to provide interesting activities and celebrations for special occasions. We are so grateful that we chose the Arbors and strongly recommend it to those in need of placement for family members.
Shayla VanHara: My Mom wanted to move back to Missouri from Colorado where she had been staying in assisted living near me. From the moment I reached out to Americare, I was impressed. I immediately received an email, then 5 minutes later a call, then 15 minutes later another call. They were prompt, kind and considerate. They worked with me diligently to find the right place for Mom. It was almost too good to be true so I was a little nervous loading her up and moving her back there with nothing but the internet as a reference. Once we made the long drive and went to the facility to complete paperwork, I was not disappointed. The administrator and his staff were so completely wonderful. I didn't think I could be more impressed than I already was, but it happened. I don't like being so far away from my Mom, but they made it so easy and I was at peace when I had to leave her. She's very happy there as well. It's been almost a month and she just reported she's still happy with the decision. What a wonderful caring community they have created. I would highly recommend this company for anyone, but especially my loved ones!
Heather Leverich: Conservatory of the Ozarks music students enjoy performing for the residents at Lakewood. The activities director, Mary Kay, really goes above and beyond to make every performance special for residents and students. We have performed there several times and enjoyed their lovely little performance area.
Vicky Franco: Too nice when asking questions of pre employment, but then they said they going to call you without them having your number. I offer to give my number and they said they already have it. So, are they really interested of hiring anyone?
Jo Bonsee: Lakewood is a very pretty and happy community. Amber, administrator, does a wonderful job. She is very sweet, kind and caring and sets the tone for Lakewood. I am always confident that any of my clients I refer to Lakewood will be well cared for.Jo BonseeCare Transition CoordinatorSutton In-Home Senior CareSpringfield, MO

The Fremont Senior Living: what do users think?
Kathleen Tucker: Was looking at The Fremont for my in laws. Nice place, but to many buildings for our cause.
Lester Ruggles: Delivered a bed for a friend very friendly was clean food smelled good appearance was nice
Donald Camdmus: I was considering the Freemont for long term care for my family member, but sadly he unexpectedly passed before the decision was made. The care and compassion from this organization is unbelievable , especially for never being a resident. If they take this good of care of a prospective person they truly must treat their guests like family. I highly recommend. And Thank you.
Richard R.: The Fremont Senior Living facility in Springfield, Mo. is poorly managed from the corporate level, (Arrow Management), and poorly operated and severely understaffed at the local level. I spent a lifetime there one month transitioning a family elder from independent living (IL) to assisted living (AL). I slept many nights in his apartment and took him to and from meals. I was privileged to get to know many residents and staff workers. While almost all front-line workers are kind and caring, they are overwhelmed by the volume of service needed by the residents. Service for which the residents pay handsomely. The most glaring area of poor performance on the IL side is food service. A lot of items on the regular menu are oftentimes not available, from simple items such as sliced fresh fruit and an English muffin to featured entrees. There is no real kitchen on the IL side, only a small grill for frying eggs and burgers. Most menu items and all entrees have to be transported from across the parking lot in AL where the real kitchen and cooks work to prepare food for both sides of the facility. This results in poor service and diminished food quality, (temperature and freshness), on the IL side. And on the AL side, waiting 30 minutes to an hour for your ordered food to be served is not uncommon. While poor food service is frustrating, much more significant service problems exist on the AL side of the facility. Residents are given a medallion with an “alert” button on it to be pushed when the resident requires immediate assistance. There are also pull chain alert devices in the rooms designed for the same purpose. Neither system works well at all. Not because of a mechanical or hardware deficiency, but because the minimal staff is so overwhelmed with service requests that they have become apathetic and do not respond immediately to the alarms. My elder lay on the floor for 30 minutes after he used the system to call for help when he fell and couldn’t get himself back up. He probably would have stayed down longer if I hadn’t come to his apartment after he failed numerous times to answer the phone. My elder requires the use of a catheter and is charged an extra fee for the Fremont to care for his needs in that area. Because the staff does not respond to his calls he most often performs those tasks himself which results in an unsanitary catheter bag and tubing. My elder is incontinent and has to use disposable diapers and soils himself several times a day. It is not uncommon for me to walk into his apartment and smell feces because his waste containers have not been emptied.I have not decided if the floor attendant for my elder is a Saint or an Angel, but she is one of the two. I have never met a sweeter, kinder, or harder-working person than her. The problem, however, is that D.J. has 32 residents under her care. There is no way one person, no matter how exceptional she is, can possibly keep up with that demand. Her span of control is simply untenable. This is Arrow Management putting higher profit ahead of resident care.Selecting a retirement facility may well be one of the last big decisions we make in life. Once the choice of the facility has been made and we’ve moved in, it’s a real hassle to uproot and move again. I have visited with several of the Fremont residents who feel stuck now for that reason. If you are reading this and considering the Fremont, or any Arrow facility, I would encourage you to perform thorough due diligence. Eat several meals at different times in the two dining halls. Visit with as many existing residents as possible privately in order to get their candid opinion. If your family elder is currently a resident in one of these facilities and is not receiving the care you feel they need, complain vociferously. However, I have voiced my concerns to both the Fremont Interim Executive Director and the Wellness Director to no avail, hence this poor review.
Brooke Decker: Such a beautiful place for seniors to live out their golden years!
Mary German: For several years after living as a widow in my three story house, I started looking for a place where I would be safe and not likely to fall. I just lived a few minutes away but wasn't aware of the The Fremont. Having a pedicure one day she mentioned that she had a client who lives here. I came directly across the street and signed up for a villa. I was in an apartment for six months and have been here since January. It is actually one of the smartest moves I have ever made. I think it was fate that brought me here. I would highly recommend this life to any senior. My relatives and my family are all happy to see me safely here, not sitting home alone, and very happy.
Melinda Summers: My Mother moved to the Fremont in June 2022. She enjoys her apartment and everyone who lives there. The staff is friendly, but there is a problem with the food service. When my Mother goes to the dining room, there is not enough help to wait on residents and they have always run out of items that are on the menu. This has been an ongoing problem since she moved in. We have complained about this to management, but nothing ever gets resolved. If she went to eat at 4pm, they might be able to accommodate her with all the choices on the menu. This is extremely upsetting to her, as well as, my sister and I. Living at the Fremont is not Inexpensive and for what she pays every month, she should be able to eat in the dining room anytime of the day and be able to be served items that are on the menu, instead of being told, sorry, we are out of that. It’s very disappointing, when my Mother tells us that maybe she should start cooking for herself again.
Black steel 99: I enjoy working at the Fremont cooking for the resident. I enjoy helping the resident with their needs bring smile and cooking amazing food
Christina Campbell: I love the residents and the people I work with. I love building relationships with the residents and hearing their stories. This is definitely a great place to work.
Ryan Kay: I love my job at the community. Learning about the residents and their stories. This is a great place to work.
Taylor Bieling: The Fremont is an amazing place to work at. All of the staff is family and help each other out, whether you’re in the same department or not. The residents are so sweet and loving. Definitely recommend working here.
denise wilkinson: A fantastic place to work, great benefits, opportunities for career growth.
David Moore: Very clean and professional!!
Lori Blomgren: Betsy is the most caring person at the Fremont Senior Living facility in Springfield, Mo! Her smile is contagious and she brings joy when she walks in the room.
ginger wipperfurth: sounds like a wonderful place
Allison Hahn: We love The Fremont Senior Living! My grandma has been residing here for years and she has nothing but positive things to say about the community and it's staff. It allows us to rest easy knowing she is being well taken care of and loves where she's living!
Buford Baker: Great place and amazing staff!
Mike Barnard: I have been in and out of this community and others for the last 6 months. I am honestly amazed at how caring the staff is and how well they pull together as a team at The Fremont. When you walk in you can feel the homey atmosphere. Current Management has done an excellent job. I would highly recommend.
Kathy McIntyre: The Fremont’s Memory Care Cottage is wonderful! Nicole (Nicki) has gone above & beyond as Memory Care director! She has the residents involved and active during the day and her staff is always so caring and helpful! I like that they encourage my mom to take part in all the different activities and crafts they have planned. We transferred our mom from a different MC residence in Springfield and we are SO HAPPY with the switch!!
Karen Todd: The Fremont Senior Living Memory Care is the best!Mom had a back fracture and suffered a stroke before coming to the memory care building. All of the staff, are so caring and compassionate. Handling the above mentioned, along with her dementia. There is no place else we would want mom to be.Thank you everyone atThe Fremont ❣
Amanda Parrott: As an employee of 4 years I could not imagine going anywhere else! I love my job, my residents and my coworkers!

Spring Ridge Senior Living: what do users think?
Becky Webb: They get twice the price for half the space. Comparative to 6x6 prison cell.
Jo Bonsee: From the moment I walked into Spring Ridge I was impressed with the friendliness and the home like atmosphere. Amy, administrator, is amazing! She sets the tone with her caring and kind ways. Pretty much every time I go by I see her mingling and interacting with the residents. I am more than glad to refer my clients to Spring Ridge and Amy .... I know that will have the best of care.Jo BonseeCare Transition CoordinatorSutton In-Home Senior CareSpringfield, MO

Joy Assisted Living: what do users think?
Natasha Lopez: Please note, I do not currently have a loved one in this residence but have been looking for my aunt that will need an assisted living facility soon (I have no prior experience with this process and am clueless). I have called many places in Springfield and the surrounding area and Don at Joy Assisted Living is the first person I have spoken with that has really taken the time to explain the financial process at their facility. He seemed to genuinely care and didn't rush the conversation. For that reason, I am giving Joy 5 stars.
Patti Tyszczenko: For a short time that I have been working here each person is so very special in our hearts . I am still working here and I can honestly say the employees do care about each and every one here.. Residents become like family and I love coming in to giving it my all to help or just listen to what they want to talk about. . Everyone is treated with respect, care and privacy that they deserve. There families are more than welcome to always ask any questions or visit there love ones. Or take them out for a day .
Sarah: My dad lives here and only has good things to say about this place. He's been living here for over 2 years. The staff are super friendly and the place is very clean.
Annie Grant: I love Joy Assisted Living ( residents and staff) . It’s not like an assisted living it’s a family!! The staff are warm, inviting, the love and support shines though all of them. The residents are happy and they are active in their care and the day to day activities. I would definitely recommend Joy to my friends and family.
Ashley Crouch: I actually work here an have for almost 4 years I love this place and my residents
Harvey L Goodman: My mother and father spent some very enjoyable years in Joy Assisted as they neared the end. The many times we visited them while they lived there were very happy days for them. We were and are so glad they had this caring group of workers to care for them. THEY ARE A GREAT FACILITY!
Laura Payne: We moved my Grandparents to Joy Assisted living, from Florida so that they could be closer and we could visit them and make sure that they were being well taken care of. They were still able to do things on their own, but needed a little help with things like medication and meals. We were so happy to find a place that would allow them to stay together in their own space. When it eventually got to the point that my Grandfather had to be hospitalized, It was very hard on them to be apart, but the staff at Joy, were so good and very attentive to my Grandmother, and kept her busy with activities and encouraged her to socialize with other residents, so that she was able to cope and thrive on her own. The staff are very friendly and I love the fact that this is a family owned and operated facility, It definitely has the feeling of being with family. Thank you for taking such good care of my Grandparents.
RON TURNER: JOY ASSISTED LIVING THE STRAIGHT SCOOP ON THIS PLACE !!!I am 73 years old and I want to make some comments or review on Joy Asst Living in Springfield Mo. . I have had a stroke and 3 heart attacks, plus I am prone to falling. i have a need for an assisted living facility that will assist me in my daily activities. I have lived in 5 different assisted living facilities. What I found with most of them was I was just something they had to deal with. It seemed when I asked for help it was given grudgingly, I was just part of the job they had to do.I am a combat wounded veteran and fiercely independent, I want to take care of myself as much as possible. I dont call out for help only on the rarest of occasions. This makes me feel like when I do ask, they would be willing to give me a little help.My family and I searched for a place where I would be treated with the care and respect I needed. I had all I wanted of assisted living places that thought you were interrupting their day to get assistance. On a tip from one of the employees at one of these facilities, I found Joy Assisted Living. The difference was profound at Joy the employees actually care about my needs. I get my meds consistently on time, They track my Dr. appointments and then take me there and pick me up. I dont have time to get bored, everyday there are activities they have; that gets the residents together, and in time it begins to feel like your family. Joy also has usually once a month a group outing, sometimes its to Branson for a show, or a trip to the casino to take advantage of the buffet they have, its always something.fun. After being here a year I feel like this is my family, because I have limited ability to move some parts of my body, they assist me with my showers and some other needs. To be honest living here is really worry free for me, I have freedom to come and go as I please and when I am there the staff all know my name, what my needs are, and every day I get smiles instead of feeling like I am bothering them. The food? Ha the food is good, too much so I have gained 15 pounds this year eating their meals. They pay attention to your diet and they have suggested increased activity to keep my weight down.if you are looking for a superclean place to place a loved one, I highly recommend Joy Asst Living. I am an old grouch, that thinks nothing is good enough for me, well till I got here.I love it here, my guardian was worried that it would be like so many of the others and I would be unhappy, well now she is happy and I am content to be living here. I wish my real family was as loving and glad to see me as they are here.. if you have any questions give me a call here. I'll tell you straight up you can pay more but you wont get more.
Michael Richardson: My Grandfather has been there for some time, not by request of the family but by a cheap lawyer from Springfield. He has been neglected there, visually can tell he hasn't showered and no one has assisted him. Basic hygiene care for your elders will be gone if you bring them here. They have had at least 4 "ACCIDENTS" involving my grandfather. That all came from neglect. He bedroom is not cleansed daily by staff. Oh the staff, all are very lazy. He toilet overflooded one time, he called me, so we went by. No one mopped up the floor, the simply covered it with blankets and walked away. So just know its not assisted living.. it's assisted DEATH.
Katrina Richardson: Would give no stars if possible. My husband's grandfather has fell once. Bathroom has been backed up 3 times and they just leave towels laying all over the place that's there clean up job. Went to see him around Christmas and him and his room smelt. Asked him when was the last time he showered and he said a month ago. Now we call and they say he has left the building and is not there. Had to call every hospital in Springfield to find out he was in the hospital. The hospital says he is there but is unable to talk the phone just rings.

The Gardens Assisted Living and Memory Care: what do users think?
Christina Cheek: Excellent people to work with, kind and so understanding! Did 4 stars because My Dad needed skilled nursing so we weren't able to place him here but they are my next pick for Assisted Living! So clean and the atmosphere is bright and welcoming, the residents were social & happy! Very impressed! Bailey Simpson has been such a Blessing to work with to navegate how it all works with housing, etc., 5 stars for her!
Alice Ramey: We placed my mother here almost a year ago. We have found the staff to be very helpful and caring. Jessica is extremely good to my mother and is always professional with a great sense of humor. We are happy with the laundry services and the cleaning staff. My mother does grumble about the food, but I would say it’s comparable to other Assisted Living facilities. The dining room staff are very friendly and helpful. The facility is clean and they frequently make improvements to keep the appearance up to date. August, 2022 they installed new flooring in the dining room. They have Bingo and other activities that residents can participate in if they choose to do so. My mother mainly stays in her little apartment. The staff are really good to stop in and visit with her frequently.I visited several Assisted Living facilities before deciding on The Gardens. It’s not perfect but seems to be meeting my mother’s needs at this point in her life.
Jordan Nimmo: HIPAA violation of leaving confidential patient info open on computer screens in hallways. Also, super sticky gross floor in dining area….reminds me of a bathroom where someone peed all over the floor but was not cleaned up.
teresa ingram: We moved my mother there in September 2020 and gave them our 30 day notice exactly one year later in September 2021. They raised her rent twice in 2021. We also found out the extra $2500 that we put down in September 2020 was a community fee and non-refundable. So while we paid A fairly expensive rental fee we also essentially gave them an extra months rent for free as my mother did not use the pool or whatever else the community fee was for
Dr. David Knox: Just moved my parent there, they love it. Some many amenities.
Amber Harness: This is a wonderful place! The staff are so sweet the place is very clean! Really like this facility!!
Pat Clarke: The Gardens is taking good care of my parents. They seem happy there.
Donna Griffith: Very disappointed in the Sales and Marketing. We were given a price in the beginning and my mother was put on a waiting list. NOW we find out the amount that we were told in the beginning was not right and we have to pay more money. Just to their advantage, they now have a room for someone that has more money to get the room my mother has been waiting for all this time. VERY DISAPPOINTED.
Connie Dudley: The Gardens Assisted Living is a friendly, warm atmosphere. The staff is caring and will greet you with a smile on their faces and always offer to help, in any way they can. Living at The Gardens Assisted Living is comfortable appartment living, with benefits.
Connie Garrison: The Gardens Assisted Living is a great place to work. I have worked here for 15 years and love being around our great staff and the wonderful Residents. We provide a safe, loving environment where the Residents can thrive. We would love for you to come by some time and tour our beautiful community.

The Bungalows at Springfield East: what do users think?
Charlie Hall: Worst Place ever ...they Don't Take care of the Elderly there and Plus I wouldn't Recommend taking your Mom and Dad there as well or Grandpa's and Grandma's they Will Have a Fall bout 8 Times there so and They Allow Sinus Infection People and Sick People to Work There ...like they Don't GAF ...so This Place is the Most Worst Place ever DO NOT GO THERE or you might wanna Sue them
A Pie: I am so very happy working at Morningside East. The staff are compassionate and caring. And the residents are so much fun to be with. If you’re looking for a good place for your loved one or a job where you are treated like family this is the place. Under new management
Ciera Baker: One of the best senior living communities in Springfield! Great leadership team and wonderful direct care staff. I would recommend this community to anyone looking for a social, supportive living environment for older adults!
Diana Rose Johnson: 💝
Karen Wareham: Morningside is a beautiful place, filled with loving and caring staff.
Amber Blackburn: I honestly do not feel words can even truly express how wonderful everyone at this facility is. And how grateful we are for their kind hearts. Everyone in the office, and the facility, that we have worked with especially Philip, Debbie, Tammara & Trisha have been just phenomenal. They provided us with all the information we could have ever needed. They never made us feel like we were a bother to them no matter how many questions I had or emails I sent. This was a whole new experience for us as Grandma had always lived independently prior to an infection that impacted her so badly that she is no longer able to. We didn’t know exactly what we were looking for size wise or level of care wise. But Philip, Debbie and Trisha made the process so easy.Trisha and Philip went out of their way to spend HOURS with my Grandma the day before she was to totally move in to make sure she really felt comfortable with the sections. Trisha even called to share what had occurred at 6pm on a Friday evening. When she easily could have just gone home. Needless to say Grandma was NOT happy about giving up her freedom or moving out of the neighborhood she’s been in most of her life. The thing is that neither of them had to do that and neither were asked to do so. They saw a problem/need and decided they would do all they could to make sure a solution was found and that Grandma felt comfortable with the decision. Trisha and Philip went out of their way and gave up the time that they could have been using to do their true jobs. Instead they took the time to listen to her reservations about the move and found ways to remedy most of those issues.I could go on and on about great this place is, but I won’t. The last thing I will say is that my Grandma is not the easiest person in the world to please. But she has gone on and on about how truly lovely every single person she has encountered during her stay is. I truly feel that this facility and everyone we have come into contact with during the last couple weeks have been amazing. Anyone who is able to move into Morningside East would be lucky.
Mary Blackburn: We just moved my mom to Morningside. She was not a happy camper. Wanted to stay on north side of town. Trish spent several hours with her yesterday. They discussed my moms concerns. She had a complete change of heart. Trish went above and beyond her job duties. Thanks also to Debbie and Phillip. This is a wonderful place to call home. Big rooms and the food is wonderful.
Lisa Arnold: I've had the pleasure to tour Morningside of Branson Meadows and it is truly a five star Senior Living experience!
Springfield Rehabilitation: We love working with Morningside of Springfield! Friendly, compassionate staff and beautiful facility!
Debbie Jones: Morningside East is a wonderful place with caring, compassionate people. Residents receive great care and are treated like family. They get wonderful food, fun activities and can enjoy their beautiful courtyard. They are also pet friendly. I would not hesitate to recommend Morningside of Springfield East to family or friends.
Angela Abbott: It's beautiful and immaculate, but that's as far as it goes. When touring for a family member, I asked if they would help her to the dining room and help her with showering. I was assured of both, since it is ASSISTED living. The head nurse assessed, and cleared, my family member as able to live there, but once moved in, this nurse berated her, repeatedly, about what she needed assistance with. (Specifically getting to the dining room and showering.) She was demeaning and hateful and we found out that she's like that with pretty much everyone. The dining room is spacious and beautiful, but the food is no better than a nursing home. A lot about the place was seriously misrepresented. I suggest doing respite with them before committing to renting an apartment to save having to pay the community fee. ($1,000) We are glad we went that route, at least. The reason I even gave more than one star is because most of the aides on staff, who actually assist tenants, are wonderful. They seem to understand that the people living there are paying customers, deserving of respect.
Libby Phillips: My mother lived at Morningside for 2 and 1/2 years. The staff was very attentive, supportive and loving. She was placed at a dining table with a group of ladies who were perfect for her. The building is very nice and furnished beautifully. If you are looking for a place in Springfield, I can think of none better.
Bob Hammerschmidt: For the past eleven years and nine months, Morningside East of Springfield provided compassionate care and exceptional service to my ninety-one-year-old mother. The staff is exceptional, the food great and facilities warm and inviting. Plus there are ample activities for those who want to socialize. I highly recommend Morningside East of Springfield.
Mark Viguet: The staff, facility and atmosphere are top notch!
Stillwell Electric: Our mom moved to Morningside last summer, along with her little dog. She loves living there, and that is great piece of mind for my sister and me.
Autumn Ranchie: Melanie and the staff at Morningside have always been caring and professional. Always a good experience when we interact with them. I highly recommend this facility for any family needing assistance for their loved one.
Tamara Price: My husband and I play for the folks here and the place is always so clean and pretty and everyone is so helpful! Love to see the smiling happy faces of the residents! That is always a great sign!! And the employees are always smiling too!! What more can you ask for?! Great place!! Great people!
Bethany Brown: We entertain at Morningside on a regular basis. The staff is always friendly and helpful, treating each resident with respect. The facility is always clean, and it is secure. We enjoy going to Morningside of Springfield!
Misty Kincaid: My dog and I do pet therapy here. We love visiting. There is always lots of happy friendly staff. The residents are always happy and busy with activities and outings. The facility is pretty comfortable and amazingly clean and fresh. We will be coming for as long as they will have us.
BASS HEAD 4 LYFE: Very deceptive place !! If Angela Haile LPN -RSD will lie repeatedly to its applicants she will lie to anyone about anything !! I was lied to repeatedly by this woman was told I would get a return phone call 6x never ever received one. The thing is if you lie about 1 thing you’ll lie about another so I’m sure there is underlying issues here as well
Donna Pinney: This assisted living is convenient for me. My parents have lived here a year. Rooms are a good size and staff is caring

Holiday, The Cambridge: what do users think?
Mandy Garmon: Very nice establishment! Lady at reception was nice, its clean!! A few of the residents that I happened to see was happy it seemed!!
Jeanette Shaw: Wonderful atmosphere
Carinne Gann: Helpful staff and great location
Kyle Hanke: Location, location, location...and staff! For Seniors looking to move somewhere convenient and not need a car, The Cambridge is within walking distance of an Aldi, Big Lots and lots of great restaurants. The rooms are quiet and the grounds peaceful. The staff are super friendly and Jeff Parks is amazing. During a tour he's a wealth of knowledge. I'd recommend contacting him if you are a Senior or Family of a Senior to learn more about the fabulous amenities. The Cambridge really cares about its residents!
Gail Ackerman: I thought it was a retirement community but it was more like a high end nursing home
Tina Fisher: I just got a response today January 6, 2020 that said not all of their people and places are like that and they’re sorry I had a bad experience but they understood that things were taken care of. That is an absolute falsehood. I was told things were back in her room that I could pick up if I wanted to but I had to make an appointment. And they would give me a check for the remainder of things not what things were worth, but what THEY DECIDED to give her in a check. But in order for them to give me that check and her belongings I would have to sign a legal paper that said I would not take them to court and sue them because they stole from my mother. I refuse to do that and just dropped it. Their corporate lawyers have more clout, money and time than I do. So they won. I have my mom in a nice place now and had to rebuy all of her belongings. I cannot replace the family antiques that were stolen and she is heartbroken over it and has cried herself to sleep many times. Thank God she’s at the beginning stages of dementia so she won’t feel the pain of The loss of her items and the betrayal of people she trustedAfter the housekeeping staff stole everything out of my moms apartment in the middle of us moving her out to an asst living & the front office standing behind them instead of returning the stolen items, I have changed from five star to one star- If -100 was on here I would’ve picked that. They refused to give me her belongings back or the monetary value of them, two being family heirlooms. Then tried to convince me that I gave everything to their housekeepers! Absolutely terrible place! Do not fall for their niceties. Wolves in sheep clothing!!
Marisa Wren: A friend had her elderly mother here and had a lease that didn’t expire until today. She moved some belongings and went to get the rest and ALL of her mothers belongings were gone and the door was unlocked. The woman in charge says my friend told her housekeeping could take all her mothers belongings which is 100% a lie but that is what they did. They threw away a couple things and stole all the rest. They’ve since found a couple items after complaining and looking in the trash but everything else including money was stolen. They have nothing but excuses and lies to tell. The elderly woman who lived there is in bad health, has been in the hospital an extended amount of time and has to move. That doesn’t give anyone the right to rob a sick, elderly resident and lie to their daughter that still had the keys and the lease. Beware if you’re thinking of moving there or moving a loved one in because I’m sure they’ve done this many times before and will again. It’s sick to take advantage of some of our most vulnerable that can’t protect themselves. Jessica, I hope you have a great attorney!
Trish Jackson: Over priced, staff very rude
Shelly Woods: Very well organized very helpful staff
Dorothy Purgerson: It's very nice, the staff look very nice, very helpful
WARLION'S THIRST: Look cozey in friendly for the elderly
craig bain: As a former employee i can attest to the fact that the kitchen staff truly cares for the needs of the residents. Especially Shawn the head Chef. His biscuits are the bees knees, this is a community that I'm glad to have worked for, even if the pay wasn't up to par
Connie Rogers: Moved in a month ago and really like it here
Alice Hudson: Very friendly you'll need to help you as much as they can get this atmosphere is good
Tomi Benedict: Great beauty shop. Toni you are fab!
Marty Helvey: I work here sometimes and every one there is friendly and accommodating. Clean, active, pretty place.
Gay Kramer: Went to visit a friend.
Dawn Freemyer: This picture was taken at the Cambridge. My 84 year old mother lives here with her small dog. After selling her home and my dad passing, Mom moved in three years ago. It is secure with Haven Hpme Health, if needed, having an office in the complex. They are top notch! The complex is quiet, secure, and has in and out of facility activities. It is clean and very friendly. Thank you to Sarah, Jessica, and all the great staff!
Tom Ross: Great people, clean, lots to do,great food
Christyn Hatmon: I absolutely love this place. My nana works there and the staff invite us to any event they have going on. Last year for Christmas they had Santa and Mrs. Clause. Then we went there for their cardinals party. Then on Halloween, the residents passed out candy for trick or treaters. My kids loved it. The residents are such a joy and it really is a community of it's own. Kim, the activity director, is absolutely outstanding. Her and Nancy put on some fun activities for the residents and the public. If you are looking for a great place for a member of your family I highly recommend this place! It is absolutely amazing!
Winston Reid: I knew two individuals who lived there for several months; they had clean, spacious and comfortable apartments that made it easy for friends and family to visit. The friendly staff remembered you, knew their residents, and knew where they were.
