Michele Appleton: Steve Foreman did my brother's living estate auction, and it was such a success we chose him to do my Father's living estate sale too. It was organized so well, and every detail was taken care of from setting up, to port-a-potties to ads and signs. He knows how to organize the items for the best possible outcome, and keeps the auction moving. We loved having breakfast and lunch options for the buyers also. There was a situation were someone was moving a box of breakables and dropped it. This person posted that this was cheap dollar store stuff which it certainly wasn't, it was some beautiful little statue items my mother cherished. Steve politely told the person that his workers would take care of the boxes. Handled perfectly! HIGHLY RECCOMEND THIS AUCTION SERVICE!

They were very careful with how they sorted items to help get the best price for the client and best experience for the attendees before the auction. Both my Father in Law and Brother in Law were very pleased with the amount that their living estates auctions produced and extremely pleased with Foreman's service. I would HIGHLY recommend Foreman Auction services. One small note- during one of the auctions, a couple of customers tried to re-arrange items to suit themselves. Steve quickly and respectfully reminded folks that items were sorted to suit the client and for time management. Nancy Lemmons: I went to one of his auctions and a couple of ladies and I were trying to figure out what an item was. I unsnapped a button and it sprang out about 3 feet and in so doing knocked off a small 6 " X 6" box of cheap little what nots, not collectibles or rare antiques, just dollar store stuff. They broke when they hit the ground. I was horrified that it happened and certainly didn't mean for it to happen. He stopped the auction, asked me what I thought I was doing? I said I was trying to see what the item was. He said I needed to leave things alone on table, that his people would take care of handling things and I shouldn't be messing with things. Told me I had broken things by picking items up on the table. I was so embarrassed. 2 husbands of women standing near me walked up and told their wives it was time to leave. As I left 2 other couples were leaving. I can only hope that karma catches up with the auctioneer. The box of trinkets would have probably brought $2.00 and his % would have been 40 cents on that. I will never go to another Foreman Auction and would warn anyone that does not to touch the merchandise.

John Voules: Placed multiple bids on multiple items. I tried several times over a 4 day period through their web sight to acquire if they offer combined shipping. I never received a response. As it happened, I left my bidding as it was and I did win 1 item. Based on their auction posting for this item shipping was shown as $6 ( small 5” crystal piece), seemed reasonable enough. Company sent me an invoice for item won without including shipping charges. I called them and finally got a hold of a rep and was told to pay for item and shipping was billed separately...so I did. A day later I received another invoice for almost $13 for shipping. I emailed them back to point out this was not what the auction web sight listed for this item. I also mentioned that I also was 1 state away from their shipping location, how can it be so much for an item that weighs less than an ounce?NEVER GOT A RESPONSE ! ! !Remember now that you have already payed for your item....now they hold it hostage.EXTREMELY UNDERHANDED way to do business.I ASSURE YOU IT WONT HAPPEN AGAIN,

They will rob you blind and not pay you for a long time. They came in my parents house and sold items that were not supposed to be sold. Items that were belonging to me are now gone. lex koz: Today’s November 17 .I attended the storage auction in Ozark, mo.There were three units up for grabs. On the second storage the auctioneer started the bidding at $2000, nobody jumped on it. Then he went down to $1000 and still nobody starting to bid. Somebody scream from the back saying to $200 so the auctioneer went with that. Long story short the auctioneer ended up buying it to himself for $500 which I thought was really shady.I don’t know if it’s legal or not but it’s straight up shady. That’s why a rated them out one star

Dusty strategically advertised the property to where it received optimum awareness. We chose to auction the real estate Friday night in town at a rented space and auction the personal property Saturday morning at the farm. Called today to ask for pictures of a specific firearm lot. Got a pretty colorful answer from Roger on how it was 2 PM and they'd already been at work for 14 hours....and wasn't interested. I Needed the pictures before I drove 5 hours one way. This lot was a POTENTIALLY $3K+ lot. Hey their loss. I'm in the business as well, and when a customer "bidder" asks for more information....you accommodate them. There's professional auctioneers and there's people that sell things....Melton's is the latter of the two.

They communicated from the day of contract through the day of completion. All of the staff acted in a very professional manner.

La Grange Custom Guitars: Attended a real estate auction by this clown... He decided to sell some lots that were flood prone (and totally lied about it to the crowd) He starts one of the lots at $17,500 and when nobody bid, I said I would start at $5000... Well, this just makes him mad and says "I dont go down in price"!!!!! I told him the lot is unbuildable as it sits... he comes unglued and comes at me super aggressive and wants to show me some meaningless aerial photo and says "the City of Aurora says they are buildable.. No where did I see that on the map!!!) He then stops the sale (others were interested too on the other lots). He ends up costing the family untold thousands of dollars. This is one shady little dude. Pretends to be the big Christian man and big time Realtor and probably was one of Jesus' disciples according to him. Keep your apology Rog, glad you saved ME some money though, didn't want your SWAMP land anyway!

j lindsey: l have attended many auctions including several Melton and have never had issues until the one on 6/13/20. It was a large auction and they had numerous issues all day, including once when they moved in the garage they finally noticed after 20 minutes no clerk was present! My problem arose when i went to pay one item showed 200.00 over what i believed( and three other people with me) had bid. When i brought it Mr. Meltons attention he shouted "WRONG you did too no mistake". Instead of making me look like i was trying to be dishonest he could have just said "I'm not sure if we made a mistake or you have but our policy in this situation is to go by what our record says".I would have been fine with this. He probably has his share of thieves but I didnt appreciate being treated like one.

Toni Hall: I live out of town but met with the owner of AB Estate Sales at my dad’s house in Springfield. I had left my coat and one of the items I wanted to keep (a special VHS to DVD recorder/player). I was told they would be put in a bathroom which is off limits to the shoppers, and I could pick up after the sale. The sale went ok, however after the sale, I returned to the house and those items were nowhere to be found. There was also quite a few miscellaneous items left in the house, and I noticed the shower head in the bathroom was missing. I called the owner. She said they would replace the shower head. She reimbursed me for my coat, but not the VHS/DVD recorder. She was going to see if she could find a replacement. I have tried to follow up for months with phone calls to the owner’s personal cell phone, the business number, and text messaging. I have left many voicemails and text messages; Angela will not return my calls or texts.IN REPLY TO YOUR RESPONSE… I wanted the special VHS/DVD recorder/player to convert old home movies. The only other item that was accidently left in the home was my jacket. I was not in the home several times, as you indicate, and you knew I lived hours away out of town. I called you, and you told me it was not a problem to put those two things in the “off-limit” bathroom where they would be safe, and I could retrieve when I came back to town after the sale. For that reason, I felt it not necessary to make a special trip back until after the sale when I then had to return to finish dealing with the house. When I returned to the house after the sale, I called you about the missing items (in addition to the showerhead that was missing from the bathroom shower). You told me verbally, after the sale, that you would reimburse me for the value of the jacket and VCR; so do not tell me it was part of the contract that I signed. You asked for the value of both which I sent you. You did reimburse me for the jacket but not the other. I think my biggest issue of all is just the fact that you did not have the courtesy to return any of my text messages or phone calls, just trying to follow up. I sent several text messages and called numerous times leaving voicemails for months. There is no excuse for you ignoring my calls and texts. All you had to do was let me know you were not going to honor what you told me you would do.

Gary L Napier: Did a sale for my grandma and I thought they had a great turn out! Made great sales and super professional.

Ted Faulkner: I bought a Husqvarna Power Washer for $190 at one of their Estate Sales in Springfield Missouri. I was told by one of their employees that they guaranteed it to work. I could not get it started, so I took it to Greg's Mower in Nixa and paid $25 for them to check it out. He told me the motor was no good. They would not stand behind their word and give me my money back.

Thela Fitzgerald: Approximately 3 wks ago they came out to look around our property for a sale. She said she wanted her husband to look at some things before we signed a contract. They came with high recommendations but I am really disappointed they didn't have the courtesy to respond to my text or phone msg. If they had just let me know yes or no on their interest I would not be posting this. Customer svc D+

Sam Benson: Stay away. Not professional, not responsive to follow-up no detailed accounting or records of what was sold and for how much. Better off giving to charity.

Michael McTeer: I would think twice about hiring the company to take care of your estate. They don’t answer their phone, use poor signage to direct folks to an estate sale and don’t have any internet presence worth mentioning that might take care of some of the previously mentioned shortcomings. Estate sales are serious business if it’s your stuff up for sale, you get what you pay for in life, hire real professionals.
