Quilt Sampler Inc.: what do users think?
Kim Henderson: They listed some fabric for sale online. I ordered 2 of them, paid and was waiting to be notified of when my order would be ready. They claim there was a typo and told me the price is now $30 higher each. Then cancelled my order. What a terrible way to run a business. The price should have been honored and order filled. If you go into a store and they have the price wrong, they honor the price they're showing the consumer. It should be the same way here. I will never shop here again & I will tell everyone to avoid them. Horrible customer service.
Era Justice: This store sells a nice selection of quilting fabrics, as well as a nice selection of different sewing and embroidery machines. I've shopped at this store for several years, and they were always very helpful, however, when I recently purchased an embroidery sewing machine from them, I saw a different side of their business and customer service. They don't provide any beginner embroidery classes, nor much support for learning the intricacies of machine embroidery. They're more interested in conducting high dollar (I.e. several hundred dollar) classes instead of the more simple embroidery classes to help new machine embroiderers. When I asked if they did/would do any type of beginner classes, my request fell on deaf ears. It is very frustrating, when asking for help, to be told "bring your finished project in and I'll tell you what you did wrong." That might help me for the next time, but my current project is ruined. I'm very disappointed in the "after purchase" service/help I've received from Quilt Sampler.
Cindy Heisserer: Rudest owners worst customer service I’ve ever experienced. Sold my daughter a machine they knew wasn’t suited for her needs just for the commission of the salesperson.
E: Heads up on buying here!! These folks don’t do machine returns whatsoever. I wouldn’t buy a machine from them since they wouldn’t take it back even if you changed your mind and haven’t opened the box yet. They just want you to upgrade.
Marie Sellers: My favorite quilt shop in Missouri! You will be met by a knowledgeable, friendly, helpful staff when you come in the door. They offer a wide variety of fabrics, quilting and embroidery supplies and notions. I have purchased 2 of my Brother sewing machines there and my Bernina Longarm quilting machine as well as a Brother sewing machine for my mother in law. They are always helpful if I have a question.
The Clarks: It is so nice to find a shop that is like this one. Friendly, talented and do repairs. We had our Bernena tuned up and the man who worked on it was very knowledgeable. The police was reasonable and it took less than one week.
Lynn Smart: Aĺl of the people that work at Quilt Sampler are very knowledgeable and helpful. If they don't have the answer they will get it for you. They offer amazing classes, fabrics, and notions. They'll order it if they don't have it in stocks. Also Great parking ! A+++
Carmine H: Absolutely horrible service. I enjoy quilting and spend an average of $200-300 a month on fabric and supplies (my 2 daughters quilt with me too). I ended up buying a very expensive Pfaff machine there, after 6 months it was skipping stitches. I brought it back to be serviced, and was charged because the timing was off. I had to remind them that it was *still* under warranty and should not have been charged for that. They huffed and withdrew the charge. In March of 2020, I had signed up for a class that was cancelled due to COVID. By August, they had still not rescheduled, so I reached out to see if I could get a refund. No response back. So on October 12, I reached out again to find out what was going on. Both the shop and I agreed that it would just be placed as a credit on my account there. Today I sent my husband in to pick up a teflon foot and a package of leather needles for me. My husband told Cristen (the owner) to apply it against the balance in my account with them. Cristen told him that they had mailed me a check over 2 years ago. She then said it *was* a credit on my account, but it was only to go towards a cleaning of my machine. My husband said he would step outside of the store to give her time to figure out how she was going to handle it since she couldn't keep her story straight. When he went back inside, she had brought Brad, the machine repairman over to watch over my husband for some reason. My husband was not threatening, or mean, or demeaning, or had even raised his voice (in fact - he was joking around with another lady shopping in the store about how he was the errand boy for his wife). Regardless, she *finally* applied the refund to my account and my poor husband left. They will never get my hefty business again and I will find another shop to service my machine.
robin helvey: I’ve been shopping at quilt sampler for a long time, they are the best in town for a few reasons. The selection of products is top notch but what brings me back every time is the employees. Any one of them will go out of their way to help you, but will also just let you shop without pressure. We are also lucky to have a shop owner that puts on events and educational classes, she cares for her customers!! My happy place.
Michael Cook: Friendly staff very knowledgeable.
jennifer Mehrtens: I also love their scrap bin for my other projects, so fun!
Judith Von Ohlen: Friendly and great quilt shop whether for classes, fabric or machine maintenance!
Jeanine Amrak: Thank you for acknowledging my post, I changed it to 5 stars for the simple fact that you care , I believe there was a sign on the door that said u all were open and that was the confusion.
Jan Milton: Wonderful place to purchase a sewing machine. They even offer classes for those like me who don't know how to sew
Barb Palmer: Would be a 5, but prices are a little bit high. Great selection of fabric, patterns, etc
Karen Carroll: As usual great and informative. This shopping experience was very helpful.
carol baer: Wide range of quality fabric s. Sewing machines for sale and service available.
Tammy Condren: This shop is OUTSTANDING in customer service! They have answered calls on weekends, holidays, evenings, FaceTimed me through issues, and never make me feel like I’m ‘putting them out’. I even had a melt down, drove to the shop with my machine and they sat down beside me and walked me through my issue.I couldn’t ask for better service and follow up from a shop!AND they’ve gone over and above to serve during Covid through Live feeds, on line classes, discounts and shipping, etc. Great selection of fabrics and products! ❤️ Quilt Sampler!
Becca Lawson: I'm not usually a review writer, but especially after having glanced at the other reviews here I thought this deserves an exception.I had called to make an appointment to bring my Bernina in for maintenance since I had heard I could get same day service here and it's hard for me to be away from my machine too long. ;)Brad got started immediately and invited me to ask questions if I had any, so I stuck around to watch for a bit and found it so interesting that I ended up staying for the whole thing. Of course he got it running smoothly again, I expected that. But he also demonstrated features I was unsure about and showed me the best way to keep it up, never making me feel like a pest for asking so many questions.I walked out of there feeling like I had been to the salon for an overdue haircut - like a weight was lifted, fresh, and excited to try it out for myself when I got home. Now that I have a shop I'm comfortable with, I certainly won't wait so long to have it serviced again.Regarding the shop's service that others have mentioned: I, for one, appreciate being able to look around without someone constantly hovering. I found all the other employees to be available, responsive, and helpful as soon as I needed them. I appreciated the casual atmosphere and the large fabric selection. So many lovely things to choose from and tastefully presented.
Roxanne Ramirez: I'm not usually one to write reviews, let alone negative ones. I know everybody has a bad day every once in a while, but what I saw and heard needed to be shared. The owner is just a mean, hateful old lady. She was berating customers for shopping elsewhere. It didn't matter to her that they didn't have what they were looking for. She was just being mean and nasty to what appeared to be a long time customer. I can hardly imagine what she says when there aren't other people around. The owner is the textbook definition of a "Karen". I always try to keep my money local, but I would implore anyone reading this to take their money elsewhere, even if the elsewhere is a big box store. I will not be going back because of this disgraceful act. If she treats her customers this badly, maybe it's time to retire.
Jennifer Thomas: Great customer service, excellent fabric selection, and very inspirational quilt shop!

Merrily We Quilt Along: what do users think?
Nancy Hopkins: I live in St Louis and have shopped at this store for many years. Fantastic customer service and the best prices anywhere.
Samantha Pickard: I was in the middle of a project and realized I didn't purchase enough yardage from my local fabric shop. When I went back, they had completely sold out of what I needed. Thankfully, Merrily had exactly what I needed, and it just arrived today with enough time to finish my project for this weekend. ❤️
Charlotte Willis: Last week my Bernina 660 had a major melt down. I took it in to be fix. I'm newer to the area I live in and stopped by Merriley We Quilt alone, by recommendation, to just check out the Bernina machines. Long story short I bought a new machine. I couldn't be happier. I need to thank Connie for all her wonderful help and time. It's a great shop.
John Rowe: Quilt Shop

Shannon Coleman: Fabric nicely organized, clean, and a wide variety. Staff very helpful. I live 2 hours away and most certainly will be back
Ann Reed: I took my sewing machine in because I thought it was not working. The nice ladies took a listen and knew that it was a simple flip of a switch. Thank you so much for your service and help in learning about my new machine.
Old Deuteronomy: Excellent service and friendly staff.
charlene yingst: I took my Bernina to be serviced routinely. I drive an hour and a half to take it them because they are trustworthy and always do a great job. I am always treated with great service and the ladies in this shop are always so kind, knowledgeable and helpful!! The shop is beautiful and so much fun to shop! I recommend it above any shops I have visited!
Sherry A: Went in Needing Thread and Bobbins. Which they have , but we're out of the One We needed ! They offered to Order , but we needed Sooner ! They had some BEAUTIFUL kits , Wish I hadn't already bought my Next Project ! Next Time ! Will be Going Back in the Future ! The Ladies were Very Helpful! Nice Place ,We Were in a Hurry on a Mission! Till we Have More time! Beautiful Fabrics ! People were trying out Machines ! Ladies were Helpful !
Tyri Powell: A few weeks ago I drove down to Springfield to look at various shops that sold higher end machines. Out of 4 places I went, I really liked this place the most! I tested I don't know how many machines that day, but I discovered I really liked only 3 machines at my level that day. One happened to be here! What made it simple for me was my experience with the people who ran their shops.I went home and told my hubs what I found. I got the eye roll from him! But then literally, the next day, my machine I had decided to quit. So I called and asked him for a new one while he was at work. the reply....I'm not buying you another throw away machine. So this last weekend we went back down to Springfield and I took him to see the one I liked. Not knowing anything about Bernina, I walked away and let him talk with the nice lady (forgot her name) that helped us. While I was getting more fabric that I previously bought, he surprised me! She walked up to me saying I'm all set to go! I was like "WHAT"??? I did not think he was going to buy it! I was just there to show him!So off to the learning room I went and she went over the basics with me and showed me everything it came with.I am in love with place and will be stopping in every time I go down there!!The End!!I highly recommend these ladies!
Vanessa Johnston: Great service, products and friendly helpful employees.
Connie Gill: Great selection, helpful staff
John Johnson: I called to see what they had in the way of a used Bernina. I’m from out of town and decided I wanted to take a class at another store and needed a machine. Was put on hold while she looked up the price of a 350 she had traded in. Came to the shop to look at the machine and was treated unbelievably rude the moment I walked in the door. A tall thin lady with white hair asked how she could help me and when I said I would like to look around she rolled her eyes at me and glanced at the other employee and walked away. I looked around the store and was impressed by the selection and machine selection. Was very impressed they at the 890 serger and the new limited edition 790 (I work for a Bernina dealer in another state as an educator and technician). I was about to ask about the used 350 when I noticed the same rude employee watching me. She asked what I was doing and I explained I worked for another shop in another shop and she said “fine but we don’t allow photos to be taken in this shop”. In no way was I taking photos. My phone was in my hand but other then that I in no way made any indication I was trying to take photos of anything. At that point I decided my business was better taken elsewhere. I purchased a few small items (I try to support all small businesses) and left. I have never been made to feel so unwelcome. The rude employee cost them an $800 sale. Also, I will be letting my Bernina rep know how nasty they were and make sure he has words with their rep. I can’t believe Bernina would want their machines sold by a store that would allow an employee to be so openly rude to a customer.
Melissa Spake: Amazing fabrics, incredible service, love this place.

Claudia Helgemo: I ordered a beautiful table wreath based on the photo in the site and it arrive very quickly. Both my husband and I are so amazed at the attention to detail and the colors are great in our Florida home.I look forward to visiting another quilt show once this pandemic is over and we can enjoy quilt shows again
Allante Cad: What a great group of helpful folks!! They really got me out of a jam, when I needed a couple of last minute gifts during the pandemic.Even helped with a quick-turn around delivery. Wonderful products with real craftsmanship. See pic of a Baby Shower gift they helped me with (zoom in to see detail). Being a man; I needed a lot of guidance; now I’m the favorite Uncle!
Jillian Grant: Great place to share and learn
Billie Tordt: Joined in 2006. Lots of groups and events to enjoy and made some lasting friendships.
Cynthia Baird: This Guild is a great asset for the community of Springfield MO. For a small city like Springfield to have such a dynamic group of quilters is quiet amazing. The Guild not only sponsors nationally recognized teachers of quilting skills to give classes to its’ members, but talented members of the Guild itself give free monthly classes on their expertise. But the Guild is more than that—it’s’ members have donated hundreds of quilts to hospitals, squad cars, babies and Quilts of Valor recipients. AND—OPQG puts on a wonderful quilt exhibit every two years that is recognized as a quilting designation show. If you are lucky enough to live in the area and are a quilter, this Guild is well worth your time.
Laura Crawford: Wonderful group of people who make quilts to provide various local community organizations with quilts. Fellow members teach each other techniques and share friendships.
Teresa Baker: Enjoy the quilt shows. Lots of beautiful quilts.

RD Quilting: what do users think?
Janet Sieger: Just had RD Quilting save two of Mom's old pieced quilt tops. They needed a lot of TLC and special work to get them sewn into quilts but they turned out just amazing. I could not be happier! Great work by RD Quilting! Thank you Rut and Dee! Hope to see you again.
Vicki Pegelow: RD Quilting has done 2 quilts for me. One an oversized queen with loft batting. The second, which I picked up today, is a large throw again loft batting and a baby flannel backing. Both quilts turned out great. Wonderful workmanship and care for my treasures. With RD you don't have to wait weeks or months to get a quilt done. The quilts come back nicely trimmed and all the left over fabric is returned too.I strongly recommend them.

Victory Quilting and Needleworks Longarm Quilting Service: what do users think?
M L: If you have lost someone you love then you know that grieving is unbearable and yet you want to hold on to those precious memories forever, and that’s where Michelle came in. The day after my mother passed away I contacted Michelle to make me a couple of memory quilts with my mother’s clothing and she was very nice and promising. Right at the beginning Michelle informed me that she has to finish a couple of quilts by Christmas first for someone else then she’ll work on mine after Christmas and this was September so I was ok with that. Michelle is a very nice person but however she’s very bad at communication. She had my mother’s clothes for 8 months! Not once did she message to inform me of the status of my quilts. When I messaged her every few months to ask where she was at with my quilts, she would say that she had only started on a few pieces. By the end of February about 5 months later, I messaged her again and told her I would need the quilts done by May 28th for my daughter’s wedding because one of the quilt was going to be a wedding gift for her and Michelle said she should have them done by then so I wasn’t worry at all. ONE week before the wedding and I still haven’t heard from her so I messaged her again and she did not respond right away as usual. I waited until the next day and messaged her again asking her to please respond and she messaged me back saying that she did not have them done and COULD try to finish the small quilt but we still need to select fabric. I couldn’t believe it! 8 months and she made no effort to work on my quilts at all. One week before the wedding I had to find someone else to make the quilt done on time for my daughter’s wedding. So disappointed. I picked up my Mother’s clothes from Michelle and the only thing that she had done for the last 8 months was iron interface on a few shirts. That was all that she did. Michelle is very nice but not reliable and definitely not a person of her words. I was so sure that the next time I see my mother’s clothes would be in a form of a beautiful quilt capturing those precious memories but instead, the wound that was starting to heal was ripped open once more seeing all her clothes as if they had just been laundered and ready for her to wear them again. Michelle should have not taken the project if she wasn’t going to work on it. I waited for my quilts for 8 months and in the end it was all a lie.
Sheri Hubbell: I made a quilt for a wedding gift and Michelle was great to work with. She has a lot of pantographs to pick from and was very knowledgeable in helping me choose just the right one to complete the quilt with just the right “vibe”. I plan to use her services again on future projects!
Glenda Kruse: I took the Wichita State university class taught by Victory Quilting owner Michelle Vincent. The class description said you would finish a jelly roll lap quilt in the 2 class sessions. I wasn't sure that was possible. As a teacher Michelle was patient, helpful and very good at helping me through each step. It was great, Michelle taught me a lot. Her knowledge about fabrics and quilting was impressive. I have sewn for over 50 years, I didn't think you could teach an old dog new tricks!! I have never made a quilt in my life and didn't think that I ever would. I really enjoyed the class and making my quilt so much that i have finished a second quilt and am working on two more for Christmas presents. I plan on taking other quilting classes from her if they are offered, she is a great teacher.
Michelle Kelty: Michelle at Victory Quilting does a great job on my quilts. If I say I don’t know how I want my quilt quilted, she comes up with several creative ideas to choose from. If I know what I want, she can come up with the perfect pantograph. Her quilting kicks my projects up a notch with fun quilting designs. Beginner or expert quilters will both be pleased with her quilting on their projects!
