The fairly new owner of J J Propane seems more concerned with his own personal schedule than serving customers. When building our new home he was no help to us in setting up our propane appliances. The office hours are not friendly to those who must contact a business during lunch time. The drivers who provide propane to our home were very efficient, but the management needed to be more friendly toward the consumer. We changed companies are are already receiving much better service from a business that puts the customer first.

Grace Bluestone: Incompetent and unorganized, doing business with this company will cost you extra because of all the mistakes they make and then deny.
Dale Webie: I had a propane leak. It too 4 days for MFA to respond. They shut tank off and locked tank and said I had to get a plumber to repair it. Repair was completed. I called MFA on a Thursday morning. I didn't receive a call back for 4 days. When I got ahold of MFA they set an appointment out for week's away. Then they got ou and wouldn't test it they said the entire line should be replaced backto the tank. Over 6 weeks without propane
Big Mike: Set on hold 1.5 hours to finally get told they have system problems and the phone system hangs up on us. If you providing propane make sure you can service customers when they are in need of fuel to heat their homes!!!!

Jennifer Dalton: We ran out of propane on a very cold weekend and I called to ask for an emergency service call. Was willing to pay their extra $75 fee for a weekend call but they decided to try to charge $482 in cash (no rhyme or reason for this figure; we do NOT have an open balance). So my young triplets and I stayed in a hotel room. Thanks for screwing your customers. I’ll be finding another provider tomorrow.

It’s been 5 days now and they have not delivered. I will be looking for a new company to purchase from in the future when I need more. Only reason I have kept them is because it is their tank. Got a call Tuesday night saying they could not deliver because i had a $25.06 balance on my account. I called and told them that balance was because they over charged me on my fall delivery. Thwy said they would be out Thursday or Friday. No propane was delivered and the wind chill is. -10. I am completely our of propane. DON'T USE MFA. They have no concern with their customers. Apparently $25.06 is more important than keeping their customers warm or maybe alive. I am 62 years old and have 5 of my grandchildren with me this weekend. They range from 4-12 years old. Unbelievable MFA. I am having my tank taken out this spring. Hope we dont all freeze! Hope my pipes dont freeze!
Teresa Bishop: We were put on a " keep filled" program and 2 out of the three times since that went into effect, we have run out. The latest being in mid December when the temps were bitter cold. I was without heat and hot water for two days. Hadn't been filled since last Feb. but was told maybe we ran out because of my in-law house being on it too. Note: the in-law house has been here on the tank for 13 years. Then oh, there's a small leak. Well, not my tank, not my problem. But if there was a leak, then it must have been really tiny to have lasted for 10 months and not emptied all the propane out. I still had to pay for all the propane I guess even the leaked propane. Basically, it's never their fault. MFA is never the problem. It is a problem for me and it is a problem for my 71 year old mother to not have heat or hot water for two days! Did I mention this was the third time?!?! Get it together MFA!! I'm replacing you immediately!! Paying customer should never be blown off!! When I told the lady that I was changing companies, she didn't so much as ask why!!!! If you are not concerned about why a customer with 1500 gallons worth of your product is leaving your service, then you probably have too much profit!!!!! Peace Out!!✌🏻✌🏻✌🏻

davidscowan: Terrible company to do business with. They change accounting software constantly which leads to errors. Computers are always down so they can't help you. They are closed at lunch and and not open all weekdays at locations. Won't even fill grill tanks. Also change terms on your contracts and will bill you without your consent.

After that, I was contacted and informed that my propane tanks were not serviceable and would have to be replaced.After two MS Propane drivers completed the tank exchange, I asked could the tanks be repaired. They told me no! the tanks were too old, and they couldn’t get parts that the tanks were good for nothing but the scrap heap. Further, they informed me that if I wanted them to get rid of the tanks for me, so I could save some money on transporting them, they would. I agreed. They took the tanks.Subsequently, after many administrative problems e.g., double billing; unauthorized tank filling, harassment, and general dissatisfaction with MS Propane, I changed propane companies. Because efforts to resolve these issues with the Rogersville Office were met with an unprofessional, belligerent attitude of an “office manager” who was very unpleasant and dodged responsibility with belittling criticism.Eventually, I enlisted another propane company to provide my propane. I discovered that tanks must be updated from time to time but they can always be reconditioned; I was told the opposite of this by MS lackies. Further, it was evident that MS Propane’s henchmen lied to scam me and steal my tanks, which I do not have a doubt are now sitting in someone else’s yard with rebuilt hardware providing propane to a blinded consumer.In short, this company is dishonest, will scam, and steal from you if given the opportunity, don’t use them.
Tom Nault: I'm not a happy customer. It takes three weeks to get a delivery with no communication, and that's completely unacceptable. They do not stay on top of your needs, even when you're a regular customer. Communication is horrible and I have no confidence in the single line 5 star reviews here. I suspect those are mostly fake.From the time we began service, they have been at times rude, and flat unpleasant to deal with. I have a very negative impression of their management and way of doing business. Deliveries are inconsistent and unreliable and after running companies for many years, I can tell this place is poorly managed. Even the Better Business Bureau gives them a B.This business has lots of room for improvement, beginning with better customer service, remaining on top of customer deliveries, and doing all they can to make sure people don't run low. Seems obvious, but to these folks, it's as if they have complete contempt for their own customers.With the business run this badly, I don't think it would take a lot for a competitor to beat them. All they have to do is be better and there is lots of room for that.
IQRaceworks: NOT HAPPY WITH MS PROPANE. I've been an MS propane customer for years. All of a sudden, after living in my house for 10+ years, I start getting tank rental bills from them, and then get a letter from them stating they own my tank, and they are going to pull it unless I sign a new rental agreement with them. I called them and told them I owned the tank, and asked why I was getting tank rental fee bills and a letter about them pulling my tank. The lady I talked to said "Can we send someone out to look at your tank?". I asked why and she said "so we can tell if it's our tank or not". I asked her "so you don't have any documentation proving that you own my tank?...then why are you sending me rental fee bills". She said "I have a lot of paperwork on my desk, I'm going to have to get back with you after I go through it and see if I can find some sort of lease agreement". The whole situation doesn't make sense. How can you send someone tank rental bills on a tank they own, and threaten to pull the tank without providing a single document or rental agreement with said tanks serial number listed on it? And they they ask to come out and "inspect the tank to see if it's theirs or not"?? What?It's like someone calling you after 10 years and saying "hey, I own your house...you need to start paying me rent"....without providing a single bit of proof. This has been going on for months....I'm hoping I don't have to take legal action. At this point it's harassment.
Chelsea Chichester: They usually come between the 11th- 15th or close to those dates we noticed. This time we never saw any sign of them once we signed up for level pay. It should still be their responsibility to fill and check it to have the customers mind at ease that there will always be propane. At over 30 % mid month I had to call for a refill. I have called 3 times now asking where the refill is, and we were also charged for this fill ontop of the next few months. They said it would be another week until they come out to fill, they said more than likely early and probably will be done the second week. We are at under 20% now. The woman I spoke with on the phone today was extremely rude and said it would be sometime next week, making almost 3 weeks. We will be looking for a different propane company to service the house. Just glad it’s not cold out and the furnace isn’t running or it would be completely out for a couple weeks

Not only do they try to charge you outrageous fees, but they are now trying to charge me a tank rental fee when we have been loyal customers for over 5 years. And I have been waiting a month for them to deliver propane. If I could, I would not even give them 1 star. Highly disappointed in them.
Linda Lee: I have been a customer with Ms propane for several years. We always purchase pre-buy when propane prices are down. Today I called to get the remainder of my pre-buy delivered. The lady there said that they could not deliver anything under 200 gallons and that propane was $2.35 a gallon today was the price.I told her I just wanted my remainder of what I had already paid for delivered she told me they could not do that and hung up on me this is no way to treat a good customer that has been with your company for years

Matthew Hart: Usiness. It is funny how they can answer negative Google reviews but not prospective customers. We just purchased a house that has one of their tanks installed and have called them 100+ times no exaggeration with no answer. The two times we got an answer " the new account lady was out and they needed to call me back." Yeah, right. We haven't heard back and are now around 15% gas in the tank. I called Ferrell and they answered first call, they will be setting our new tank next week. Do yourself a favor and don't bother with this business.
John Daffron: We have been customers of MS Propane and the previous operator for the last 9 years and our experience has been excellent. They have gone out of the way to relocate the tank when we asked and then to replace the old tank with a new one. Every member of the staff I have dealt with has been competent and professional.

Delbert Murray: I have gotten my gas from Ferrellgas in Nixa for the past 10+ years. This year I added my dad’s tanks to my account to make it easier to keep track of. I called before Christmas and ordered to fill the tank, and was told that they were running behind but would be out and have it filled before 01/12/2023. On the 12 just before I went in for surgery I got a call from the driver demanding that I meet him and take him to my dad’s house. I explained that I was going in for surgery but I he gave me some time to get my son to meet him I could do that. He told me he didn’t have time for that. Told me to text him directions and drop a pin at my dad’s house, so I did. After surgery I looked at my phone and he had sent that he wasn’t from the area and couldn’t make the delivery.I have called Ferrellgas about this 5 times and yesterday they informed me that they would only deliver to him on Thursdays. I told them he was below 15% and was told they could not do anything about it.I called Cash gas and asked if he could help. He told me before the truck were parked tonight my dad would have gas. His dad delivered it this morning.THANK YOU CASH GAS!PS: the Ferrellgas driver called today saying that me pin that I dropped for him was in the middle of a farmers field and the farmer was mad at him for driving in the field. He got mad when I told him that I had gotten it taken care.
Wood Chuck: This time: Was really mediocre! I ordered gas in the middle of August Because (I thought) my tank was empty it would require around 400 gallons of fuel. I applied for credit. And didn't hear anything. I called back in a week. Still nothing. I finally gave up by the middle of September and called one last time before I called a different company. This time the lady was really nice. She apologized! And found out that someone had transposed a number when they contacted the credit people. She contacted me within an hour and my month and a half late propane was on the way! The guys who delivered it was really nice, did a good job.Oh, and the web site is horrible. It seems to be able to tell us all the good things about Ferrell Gas but not do ANY of the things like direct us where we need to go, help us with an order, or answer our questions! The computer that answers the phone is barely tolerable. Please, please, please put a PERSON on the phone when we call.

Even after telling them we’ve been out of propane for days they still did not prioritize us for their mistake. We finally were able to get another gas company to come out. RustMan 88: Every time I call in for fuel prices I get 2-3 different answers before they settle on an actual price, due to that I switched to a different propane company (who is 30 cents a gallon cheaper btw). A month and a half later Ferrell still hasn’t come to get their tank. They have rescheduled it 3 times now and I had to call in to find out that they are now 3 weeks out from getting the tank. Nobody ever calls back to let me know that they are rescheduling the pickup and I always have to call first. Very poor customer service and nobody ever seems to know what is going on. I just want the tank out of my yard so I can mow.****Update**** I appreciate the response below, however I never did receive a call from a manger even though I sent the email as requested. Anyways, Ferrell came and got their tank. I called the office and advised them I was putting a Free sign on it.... they picked it up later that afternoon.

James S is a great service guy and I would recommend him for anything. He made sure to get the tank out without ruining the nice lawn I planted last fall. James should get a raise.

Lacie Griffin: I am new to owning my own propane tank and I called several different propane providers in the area. It was a pretty discouraging process as I quickly discovered that customer service is something that is lacking in this industry, especially at the companies with competitive pricing. Calling Ferrellgas however was a breath of fresh air! Not only did they have the best pricing in the area but their customer service has been excellent! I am very please with my decision to use Ferrellgas.
