Kristen Baker: The people at Sylvan Learning of Springfield went above and beyond to help my son during testing, giving us the results, and helping me in the steps I needed to take next to make sure he gets the best education possible. They are amazing and deserve more than 5 stars!

Spending that much time doing prep is worth it, and having people explain the questions to you was extremely helpful. If you have the money, I would recommend taking the course.

Beth Hylsky: Highly recommend Sylvan Learning of Springfield! Ask for Kristen and know that you couldn’t be in better hands! She has been not only flexible and accommodating, but has gone above and beyond to advocate for my son at his school(s) spending hours of her personal time (i.e. outside the paid instruction hours) to attend IEP meetings. In addition, he has made huge strides over the last two years that we have used their services for reading and writing instruction. They also have assisted my son with his school work (regardless of the topic).Thank you Kristen!In response to the the google review by Lana Chan, who states that “ The lady that runs this place is very unprofessional and rude. She needs to brush up on her professional skills. I don’t think this is a kid friendly environment. I would not recommend Sylvan to anyone.”....first, I would suggest that she learn “that lady’s name”, which happens to be Kristen, and take some time to get to know her and I think you would have a different perspective. Second, Kristen is justdirect and doesn’t fluff, so if you want Cotten candy then go somewhere else, but if you want your kid to succeed then Kristen can help!!!!!

Jill Finney: As a mom of a 12-year-old with ADHD, anxiety, oppositional defiant disorder, and depression -- I was at a loss helping her improve her reading and writing. Reading and writing has always come easy for me, but she was not open to my help. As a 7th grader, she was reading at a 5th grade level and not confident in her writing. She's always hated reading and writing. I saw first hand her struggles during the pandemic when she was doing virtual school. I knew I had to do something. After contacting Club Z and being matched with a tutor, we've seen nothing but improvement. Her Lexile (reading) score has improved 80 points in just a few months. Her English teacher tells us that normal improvement is 50 points within a full academic year. If you would have asked me when we started this process nearly 4 months ago, I never would have guessed she'd be so far along in her progress -- and not fight me about tutoring. The key has truly been Club Z's matching process. Her tutor is the PERFECT fit. She actually looks forward to her tutoring sessions. We are a middle class family and the thought of paying for tutor worried us in the beginning. But after seeing the improvement, I would do it again in a heartbeat. Her future is totally worth it. This program works. If you're thinking about it at all, go for it. You will not regret it. We look forward to continuing to see our daughter's growth in the months to come.

Our recent tutor in math helped my daughter raise her math score 11 points!! We are so grateful for Club Z, and the college scholarship money makes every dollar spent well worth it!

Valerie Wehrenberg: My kids have been tutoring students through Club Z Tutoring since last school year. Their grades have improved so much in math from the tutoring they have received. Like many students, they won’t be going back to school this year because of social distancing, so they have begun their geometry math tutoring with our math tutor and Zoom. Usually he comes to our house. This will also be similar to the way they will be meeting with their school teachers for the rest of the school year for online learning. If you are looking for help with school during this time, I HIGHLY recommend Club Z!!

Our daughter progressed an entire year in her iReady scores over the course of just 8 weeks during the summer break. The teachers they hire are highly skilled professionals who are very experienced and good at what they do. Our tutor is like Mary Poppins. She comes to our house with a bag full of creative learning activities to keep our daughter engaged. She is always excited to meet with her teacher because each week is fun and different. Holly Pepe: I could not be more proud of my son! He has been working with an amazing tutor from Club Z for 7 months now. With the recent quaritine we tried tutoring using Zoom today. I was leery because my son has several diagnosis that makes him easily distractable. He did amazing! He was able to be engaged in learning. Writing an entire page full of his story. This would take him days in the school setting. He was able to do it in 30 min! I am so thrilled. If anyone is looking for some extra help with this school from home, I highly recommend a Club Z tutor. They are locally owned and operated. The tutors are very experienced with lots of different learning styles. Many coming from teaching backgrounds. Please contact them to see how they can help your student(s).

The tutor was amazing at finding activities to make learning fun. We still use one of the computer programs to practice her spelling words.
