T. Brooks: We used to eat here at least 2 times a week. The second location closed and they modified their menu. The quality for the price was just not good. We tried it again tonight for the first time in almost a year, it was even worse. 3 of the 5 meals we ordered were wrong. The shells now taste like cheap store bought shells. The amount of meat was almost nonexistent. Rice waz undercooked. Overall, tasteless and bland. Sincerely disappointed because this was our family's favorite spot for over 3 years.

Springfield Resident: This is an okay place for a Mexican restaurant that isn't staffed by actual Mexicans. If someone says to meet there, I don't complain. But there is better Mexican cuisine to be found in Springfield, Missouri, at lower prices.

James Bloir: Good food with fresh ingredients. We had a Carne Asada street taco, green chili enchilada, and a steak quesadilla. All were seasoned well. Portions were large so come with an appetite!

Just Me: We stopped in for dinner on a weeknight, the restaurant had a few other customers but not busy at all. Staff was friendly and helpful – service was a little slow. Queso is decent, mild salsa is SWEET - go with the rustic or mix the habanero with the rustic. Prices run about $10 a plate. We were all surprised it was for only one taco, rice, and beans. Portion size for the rice and beans is literally a spoonful of each. The taste of the food was decent although there were too many onions for my taste; there is potential for this to be a great place. What is keeping this place from booming are the small portions and all four at our table received food that was cold – almost as if it had been stored in the refrigerator and just served without reheating. Yet another Springfield eating establishment to cross off the list.

Michael Chenot: A must try for delicious tacos! They must have stayed frying the flour tortillas at some point because I don't remember them always being that way. They were good but didn't hold up too well and fell apart before you could eat your taco. I love their salsas and queso is great too!

George Smith: I had the Americano cheese dip that had a thick layer on top like it was put in the bowl and left for a while then given out. The Jamaican jerk taco had the potential but just had no flavor except pineapples and all the food felt like warm which was strange because we didn't wait all that long, maybe they just had stuff premade and we where the ones that got the old stuff. This was the first time I came by and I won't go back. The waiter was awesome though. I really had high hopes since the restaurant was recommended by friends. Maybe it was just a tough night for the kitchen.

garrett rea: Stopped after a Costco run because of the Veteran Focus. Starters were sweet and spicy salsa, mild and queso. All excellent. I got the Carne Asada taco. It was amazing! Also bought were Havana shrimp. Soooo good, great service.

Kevin: Been going here for years. Got the same thing for so long (buffalo chicken taco) then they removed it. I became a little salty towards that. Didn't eat there for a while. I have since started eating there again, forced to try new menu items, only to find out that they're all pretty amazing. Now a big fan of the Baja and Hawaiian tacos. Try the Hawaiian with the Tuna. You won't regret it. Their customer service has always been top notch.

Alicia Blanks: It was kind of vanilla. The lack of seasoning was surprising. I was expecting amazing because the presentation was fantastic! But my taste buds said ehhhh. Alyssa A: My roommate and I went here for dinner the other night and enjoyed it! Initially I noticed that the lighting was a bit bright and for somewhere so expensive you’d think it would be dimmer. We were sat immediately and our server was incredible. We each ordered drinks, typical pricing but extremely great taste! I really admired their creativity. We ordered the sampler appetizer which was good but nothing really above average. I ordered the teriyaki chicken with sushi roll, the sushi was absolutely incredible, a must order again for me. My roommate got the blueberry salmon and was thoroughly impressed. Great spot for a fancy date night!

Kim Holmes: Made a reservation for our anniversary which was also mother's day. VERY very disappointed. They never told us about the buffet ONLY until we sat down. We were looking forward to eating light and sharing a sushi roll, but could not do that. We NEVER would otherwise eat sushi from a buffet... so we ended up eating random other things. The hot food was not hot and the things that should have been cold, were just cool. Except the cocktail shrimp... that was delicious.But for $50 per person...it was NOT worth it. S L: Have dined here a few times over many years and the food is always great. It is pricey. The service is decent. I do think the atmosphere lacks a bit for the price and presentation of the food. I can feel them trying to do a lot with the property (it’s huge), but the actual dining experience is lacking. It doesn’t feel as intimate, exclusive or as romantic as you might hope it to be for the price, presentation, and exquisite landscaping and overall property details. We tried to put our finger on it, and I think it has to do with the large open dining area. Perhaps it would benefit from some barriers? Smaller rooms and spaces? More dim lighting? More professional service (not so laid back?) Just some food for thought.Either way, the food keeps bringing us back. Delish!

The chicken bacon ranch taco and the portobello taco are great. They were also more than happy to accommodate for dietary restrictions.
