Oral Surgery of Springfield: what do users think?
Beverly Purdy: The whole process from beginning to end was very professional.
tinyjr2: The dentist took time to answer any questions I had everyone was friendly I will go again too have my teeth pulled
Megyn Upton: People over the phone were very rude. You couldn’t pay me to believe they actually care about their patients
Jacob Sturm: I’m going to start off with saying the nurses are great and understanding. My wife had her wisdom teeth removed here, and I’ve got to say this is the worst experience with a medical professional we have ever dealt with. Instead of writing a book, I’m just going to summarize why you shouldn’t waste your time.He doesn’t have any understanding of someone else in pain.He doesn’t believe that antibiotics help with infections. He will prescribe them, but then shortly go on a 20 minute rant on why they don’t work.He is too worried about Covid, and anything pertaining side effects of a surgery, is probably Covid. Not the fact that you just had an operation.Even though you just had oral surgery, and you have bloody gauze in your mouth, you need to wear a face mask out of the office. This guy is a joke, save your money and go to someone who will actually care about you.
Autumn Hanneman: 10/10. My experience was very positive with all the staff. I had lost a crown two days prior to my extraction appointment and the doctor re-cemented my crown for me instead of making me wait until my normal dentist could get me in. He absolutely didn’t have to do that. I dont have a single complaint.
J. Lee Boone: This was a follow up appointment. I called and they worked me in the next am. He answered all of my questions and was in and out very quickly. He did a great job! I ain't gonna lie, it hurt for about a minute. But I appreciate that he said it was gonna hurt for about a minute. He offered me a painless fix but I ain't got time or money for that. Pain 6/10 going in, 20/10 for 2 seconds, 1/10 headed out the door, 0/10 an hour later. That's a 5 star experience!
Callie Gibson: In October, I went in for a consultation for an implant. I will not be returning for the procedure because of how Dr. Cornella and his staff treated me. I have never felt so belittled and demeaned by a medical professional. I do not normally write reviews - especially since people with a negative review are more likely to leave one, but I feel this would have been helpful for me to know.I chose Dr. Cornella because he was on the list provided by my dentist and he was the only one covered by my dental insurance (which ended up not being the case).I won’t give a play by play, but from the phone call I received reminding me of my appointment to the conversation about billing at the end of the appointment, Dr. Cornella and his staff were rude and made everything seem to be my fault. When I explained why my dentist had referred me to an oral surgeon, he scoffed and said that it was unlikely that was the case. When he looked at the x-ray, he agreed with my dentist’s assessment. He insulted my teeth based on the x-Ray and then said “oh it doesn’t seem as bad when you actually look at your teeth.” I was shown an “informed consent” video that looked like it was made at least 25 years ago. Over the course of the 2 hour consultation appointment, I became angrier and angrier.Having a trusting relationship with my dental professionals is important to me. Briefly, I have complicated teeth and I have had many lengthy dental procedures over the years. I first learned systematic relaxation in a dentist’s chair, and I feel confident in my ability to handle pain. But this is because I trust the professionals doing the work.Ultimately, I left my appointment in tears, which is a rare occurrence for me. I will not be returning for the procedure. I do not trust Dr. Cornella’s use of a local anesthetic because I fear it not being enough, which seems to be supported by other reviews here. I also do not feel safe letting him use a general anesthetic because I wouldn’t want to be unconscious in the room with him. I see that in response to other reviews Dr. Cornella references his dry sense of humor and that people just can’t take a joke. I am not sure what in my visit was humorous, because it felt more like bullying. If you don’t mind a medical professional who bullies you and calls it humor, then Dr. Cornella is your guy.
Rowdy Owens: Never made it past the phone call. Rudeness chuckling at my situation. It's not about helping anymore. No alternatives offered.
Osiris Ayise: Went in for a scary multiple extractions ordeal and Dr Cornella and his assistant made it pleasurable and easy. I kept my mouth open longer for a spanking i used to get. Great office will suggest.
Anthony Medici: Had a great experience. The Doc was able to fix the previous dentists mistake and pull two more teeth with no issues at all with little to no pain at all.
Sasha Kalman: Overall great experience! Dr. Cornella is very knowledgeable and a great doctor. Really knows what he's doing he has a very steady hand.
Sam & Linda McCown: Very courteous and professional. Very caring and made me feel very at ease under the circumstances. They even called later in the day to see how I was doing.
Traci Quinn: We wont go back! Pianful and horrifying! Frank A. Cornella, DDS, MD removed 2 of my dad's teeth. He went back because there was a bone sticking out. We thought maybe it was a piece of the tooth coming up to the gum. Which we know from previous experience is pretty common. My dad asked to be numbed Connella did not numb him with anything, he just yanked it out and then said it wasn't the tooth but a piece of jaw bone. My dad was in tears and has a high pain tolerance! Please beware!
phoebe sutton: I arrived for a consult on 32 year old implants with one failing. Waiting room and staff were very pleasant and helpful. Doctor and his medical staff were kind, very well trained. Although my appointment was a noon emergency visit for a consult, they went the extra mile to resolve my dental problem.
Ms. Carolyn “Bunny”: Veterans BEWARE !!My appointment with Dr. Cornella was supposed to be March 25th for my lengthy surgery. After receiving the WORST possible care from Trish and Jennifer who are both part of his office staff, I canceled the appointment. If you are a Veteran, DO NOT go to this doctor!!I was made to wait for 5 weeks for my surgery after my first appointment. Jennifer at the front office refused to work with my work schedule. I had an implant that was failing and causing me a tremendous amount of pain. The cap on the implant began to twist completely around which was even more painful. I called the office to see if the doc could help me and after being treated like I had a disease by Jennifer I then asked to speak to the doctor himself, who by the way is also an MD!! She refused to let me speak with him. That same evening the cap came completely out leaving a hole in my mouth that would have to be there and prone to infection for the next five weeks! I attempted another phone call to which I was told again, sorry and NO you cannot speak to the doctor about it.My first surgery was scheduled for Feb 25, 2022. I received a call on Monday, Feb 21, inquiring how we felt about driving in the forecasted snow. We drive 120+ miles one way, but we were prepared to make the journey after waiting for 5 weeks!! Trish informed me that no one was willing to risk their lives just for us. Needless to say, I was ok with that until she stated my next appointment would have to wait another 5 weeks !! When I asked to leave a message to speak with our doctor Trish screamed and said, "no no no you cannot talk with the doctor". Not one time did we ever hear anyone at that office apologize for my pain or the wait "I" would have to endure until my next appointment.I could not remain on the call because my time to go to work was upon me, so my husband took over the call. Now let me comment here, my husband is the most laid-back guy I have ever known; after 20 years of marriage, I still cannot get a rise out of him. Within 30 seconds of him speaking with Trish, she began screaming at him at the top of her lungs accusing him of wanting to "leave her children motherless" just to be there for our appointment!! It was either wait the 5 additional weeks or nothing !! Absurd behavior from a human being.I then called the VA Administration and spoke with the person in charge to express my husband's and my reservations about going to this surgery now. What kind of care could I possibly receive after being screamed at. They agreed and not only canceled my appointment but assured me NO OTHER VETERAN will be sent to this office. I did not serve my country to be screamed at by the office staff and violation of my rights to speak with my own doctor !!!This Dr. Cornella, DDS, MD needs to own up to the way his ENTIRE staff treats others, but I have my doubts that he has ever bothered to read any reviews about his practice.I hope this review helps everyone, NOT just Veterans! We are all important and do not deserve to be treated as nasty as these folks are. Let's NOT give them any more patients to abuse, please.Carolyn Snider
Elisa Castillo: Had a very good first experience! From the receptionist to the dental assistants, everyone was super sweet and professional. The dental assistant was very friendly and helped be more at ease. The doctor was also professional, had a good sense of humor, and everything went well.I'm waiting to have my surgery later and feel much more confident about it. Recommend!
Shana Hanger: Excellent surgeon and staff. Tori removal completed with excellent results. Highly recommend!
KATHY David: Everyone treated me so wonderful. I had all my top teeth pull and one was impacted. They all were the best begaining to end. I was very scared these people are wonderful. Thank you all!
charles larremore: My wife went for sedation to get teeth pulled as she has dentophobia. They were more then understanding of her needs. She was well taken care of and they were amazing about following up to make sure she was ok. Will definitely be seeing them again next time we need a dentist! Thank you Dr. Cornella!
Christina Baker: I had a very dear friend visit this establishment. She was greeted with rudeness by the staffs and the Dr was even worse!! I recommend that NOONe visit this place of business. They would rather make a person feel bad about themselves as opposed to helping them WITH THEIR TEETH which is why my friend was theee to begin with. SHAME ON ALL OF YOU at Oral Surgery of Springfield!!!
Amy Mattingly: I normally do not leave many reviews. I understand everyone has an issue from time to time, but I felt I must provide some important information for future visitors.1. If you are looking for a clean, organized facility that makes you feel comfortable, this is not the place for you.2. If you do not like being treated like you have a disease, this place is not for you.3. If you want a doctor with good bedside manners, this is not the place for you.4. If you want a doctor that cares about your concerns and genuinely cares, not your place.5. If you like professionalism and being treated like a valued customer, this is definitely not the place for you.6. If the VA tries to send you here, please refuse! Can they get the job done, yes! BUT...if any of the above things are important to you, please reconsider. We were able to be seen at our normal dentist the next day and get the explanation for my husband's pain and a plan for future treatment (he was 6 days post-op).Our nurse was kind and understanding but the doctor knew my husband was in a lot of pain and was not gentle at all. I honestly think he overbooks himself to the point he is running from room to room then back to a room. He had to keep asking the same questions over and over again. My hope in leaving this review is the doctor changes the way he runs his business before something worse happens. Wanting to make a lot of money should not come at the cost of the quality of patient care.

Oral Surgery & Dental Implant Center of the Ozarks: what do users think?
Devin: Nice friendly service. I was extremely nervous and have bad anxiety this place helps keep you calm. I had my wisdom teeth surgery removed. Very little pain from my stitches for a few days. Don’t hesitate to give them a chance.
Angel Bohrer: Went here the other day to have surgery on my bottom two wisdom teeth, and I love love the people there! They helped me with my anxiety also & my anxiety is awful 😭🤣 but this place is wonderful and understanding and warming. I will be coming back to get my top two teeth removed when I get the money to do so! Oh. And the wait time was short! I was expecting to wait at least an hour or two, but nope! 30 minutes or less & they were calling my name! Place is wonderful.
Vicky Owens: I was very unhappy with the care I received from this clinic! The front desk was rude and wouldn’t take my insurance information. I finally insisted. Don’t know if they ever tried to file it! The doctor was abrupt and rough. Most specialists will numb an area and you don’t even feel it, she jabs the needle in and out and hardly gives it time to work. I have had jaw pain ever since she removed a tooth. But the tech who was with me in exam room was so nice and caring. I Wish the rest of the staff and doctor would learn from her. I don’t recommend them and won’t be back.
Pikachu Lover: I had a visit with Julie Becker yesterday and I can not praise the staff and dr enough. They are friendly and so calming that my visit was enjoyable. Dr Becker I’d very through and efficient not to mention quick to do my procedure Thank you to everyone there from the bottom of my heart.Sheila
Amy Dean: I called to get a consult but the receptionist said the only thing they do there is take teeth out. They don't do anything else. I'm needing a couple implants. But apparently the website is wrong bc they don't do that.
Jay W: I got my wisdom teeth removed on Friday and the staff and service itself was wonderful! The team took the time to answer my questions and ease my mind on the iv sedation (not nearly as bad as I expected) and the process was quick and easy! I will definitely be referring people here.
Thomas Chenault: Very rude and tell you one thing over the phone with them when you ask all the questions that is needed and give them your information and they tell you that you didn't tell them any of that Do not recommend going there unless you want to be treated disrespectfully
alok jain: Dr Becker and her staff are fantastic! We have had nothing but positive experiences with them. They are truly professional and empathetic. Dr Becker has fixed things that others could not and has worked our family in for emergencies. I would recommend this office to anyone who needs an oral surgeon and definitely say there is a necessity to see an oral surgeon in most cases. I only wish she did general dentistry too because we would go to her for everything!
Kendra Brasel: The wait was short and staff was absolutely wonderful
Todd Harnden: Completely disrespectful. Had to wait almost an hour for a consult for my son and then they would only let one parent in the room for the consult even though we are divorced. Also exam rooms have numerous cosmetic issues that i would call safety concerns
Tom Mason: I was sedated for an extraction. It went very well. Minimal pain afterward. Dr. Mcnaught did a good job.
Clay Custer: The RUNAROUND!!! I got nothing but "we'll call you backs" for over a week. With 10 thousand dollars in my hand to get work done I got nothing but THE RUNAROUND....Don't bother with this company
S Dawson: I might be the biggest weenie on the planet when it comes to doctors messin’ around in my mug with metal instruments and power tools. It is for this reason my dentist referred me to this clinic to have an extraction under anesthesia. Dr. McNaught and his staff were attentive toward my anxiety; yet, they were quick and worked efficiently from the moment I arrived. The clinical flow in that office is exceptional. I’m 1day S/P that extraction, and I have no pain, no swelling, and no worries. I couldn’t be happier.
Randy Connell: Worst experience ever. I came in as a referral. Tried to get sinus perforation fixed. First visit, they fixed other issues but I was told let’s give the perforation another month and see if it heals on its own. Second visit, nothing was done and I was told my first visit didn’t show a perforation. A complete waste of time. Also was overcharged on the first visit and got a refund on the second visit. Rather than wait to see what insurance paid, they insisted I pay up front. Don’t go here.
Teacher Mandy: I've never had a problem with their work. I have now had 4 children have some form of oral surgery or another (mainly wisdom teeth), and have never had any problems.HOWEVER, I do have a huge issue with the way they do business. This is the third time I've made an appointment, given them my insurance information, told them my insurance does cover the procedure, but when I walk in they tell me, "Well, medical doesn't cover this. " So, I have to get mean because they think they know it all, and once again (in person this time rather than on the phone) force them to run my insurance. They don't know what they think they know, and 4 times through this I'm really getting tired of this struggle with them (grant it the first time I didn'tknow any better, so it'sbeen only 3 times I've had to deal with their stupidity).
Tab Perkins: I didn't go to a dentist for 7 years and had very irregular dentist care as a child. I'm now almost 27 and have a load of problems. Two that caused the most anxiety and pain every single day where I could not stop obsessing and freaking out were my two back teeth that had holes in them and kept getting worse since I grind my teeth when I'm anxious. So, was stuck in a terrible loop for approximately 5 years, since they started giving me very noticable problemsGoing back to a dentist has been rough. Cried at my appointment at Smile Dentist(and they were just amazing about it, didn't make me feel ashamed at all). They gave me the refferal to go here.Walking in, the office is really relaxing. It was quiet, organized, and quick. I started having a bit of an anxiety attack getting ready and everyone around me was very comforting. I did opt to be knocked out since I'm still trying to ease into this whole dental care thing. It was cheaper than I was quoted. It's only been 6 hours so I know I could start swelling or hurting more, but I haven't even had to take a pain killer... yet. I do think pain after probably has more to do with individual bodies, so if it does end up a bit more than sore I won't fault them for that.I had a lot of bad experiences with the dentists I went to as a kid and young adult that kind of set the foundation for me being absolutely terrified of dentists and such. It's nice that the two places that have started my "lets get my mouth to a place where I can smile, yeah?" journey haven't left me feeling worse about myself than when I came in.
Meccaaboo: My fiance got his wisdom teeth removed and another impacted tooth. They saw us on time, I waited in the lobby which is conveniently blocked off in certain areas so you can sit around and mind your business. They explained everything they did to him and how best to take care of his mouth afterward. He ended up getting a dry socket and they made sure to take care of him promptly with no extra charge. He got all the tools and info to take care of the socket and the pain. The bill was huge but I blame MSU insurance, not them. They are 100% worth the money
Alesha Bennett: The 1st appointment I scheduled with them(for myself) I was left sitting in the waiting Room for 1 hour and 15 minutes. I went to the window and asked them how much longer in they said maybe 20 minutes. At that point I decided to walk out. My son's dentist recommended them for his wisdom teeth to be removed. I thought I would give them another chance . BIG MISTAKE!!! I made sure his appointment was 1st thing that morning at 8:30. He was already nervous and was not wanting to go through with it. Again 45 minutes after our appointment we were still waiting to see the doctor. As we sat there waiting, and my son getting more nervous by the minute all we could hear outside the door was the staff giggling laughing and having a good time. All I could think was that it was happening again! I made sure we were the 1st appointment of the day so we could avoid the wait and they still couldn't get it together. I guess their conversations about their life or what happened night before is way more important than their patients! If your time is valuable to you I suggest you GO SOMEWHERE ELSE! By the time I left the waiting Room was already filling up. VERY DISAPPOINTED! I will NOT go back! And as I read the review From another patient about a month ago it looks like this is becoming a trend for them!
Tanner Lantz: Appointment was at 4:15, and I arrived the advised 30 minutes early (3:45). At 4:45 I still had not been called back, so I asked the front desk if I could reschedule since it was clear it was still going to be a while. The receptionist said "Yeah, a surgery ran long", which I totally understand, but I feel after a certain point you should at least give the patient a heads up. No apology was offered, and the next available appointment wouldn't be for another 4 weeks, so I've decided to look elsewhere. Disappointing, because I had heard such good things.
scott knox: I swear when I was searching for oral surgeons, this place had a ton of good reviews. For whatever reason, they've disappeared at the time of my writing, but that was a good part of the reason I chose these guys for my wisdom tooth extraction.I had all four removed, and many of them were impacted. I've thus far made it out of the process with no complications of any kind. Dr. Becker was very professional and friendly. Her staff just as much. If you're looking for a very comfortable and knowledgeable place to have a procedure done, I can't recommend this place enough!
GREG TURPEN: Very friendly, courteous and professional dentistry. They make the complex dental procedures as comfortable as possible for the patient.... Highly recommended ... thanks very much Dr. Julie Becker!!
