Springfield Little Theatre: what do users think?
b m: Went and saw beauty and the beast! Amazing little theatre, highly recommend.
Robin Blevens: Excellent show! The production, actors, set, all were of high quality entertainment for a very affordable reasonable price.
Vivian Hight: We have always enjoyed our visits to the Springfield Little Theatre. We recently saw THE PLAY THAT GOES WRONG. We were so impressed with the acting and the sets! We laughed from beginning to end!
Sheila Renee: Beautiful historic theatre. Well maintained by those that love history and the arts. One forgets it’s a local community theatre because every production I’ve been to has top notch performances and production quality.
Erin Welch: We love the Little Theatre! I have so many wonderful memories of seeing shows by SLT from my childhood (Anne of Green Gables) to now (The Play that Goes Wrong, most recently). Keep up the amazing work!
Nathan Todd: Reasonable prices and good performances, we'll be back!
Becca Winston: I love this theater!! I am never disappointed!!
Angie Smith: We went there and had a nice time. It’s nice to support small local business, and we are impressed with the high level of entertainment.
Emma Elliott: Springfield Little Theatre produces Broadway level shows right here in the Midwest. The theater is stunning, the staff is so fun and helpful, and the productions are next level. They even have an actual Broadway Star join them in shows every couple of seasons! How cool is that? If you want high quality performances for a decent price, this is WELL worth it.
Anthony Boze: First class performance. It was such a good show. Very nice.
Johnathan Walker: Really beautiful and really friendly service. I'll have to go here again sometime.
Jim Drake: Very pleasant experience. School of Rock, ROCKS!
Sarah Fotopulos: School of Rock was fantastic! Such a tremendously talented cast!
S. Mc: One of our local favorites! Check and choose your shows carefully, some are not exactly G rated. You'll have a good time!
Stephanie Hughes: I went for an open house they were having because I had questions about auditions and acting. They were super friendly and extremely helpful! It was exactly what I needed to get the info I have been wondering about for a long time!
B Meyers: Great performances! Lovely old theater.
ronda mcfaul: Took my granddaughters to see Disney's high school musical Jr. They are 4 and 2. They really enjoyed it.
Alisa Garbisch: Springfield Little Theater is amazing - great shows, great opportunities for local talent, and great education for up and coming young artists and performers. 💜💜
Dave L: I took 2 of my grandchildren to SpongeBob The Musical. We all enjoyed the production! Highly recommend!
Triston Trybus: I'm very disappointed in this establishment. The Springfield Little Theatre promotes a place to celebrate the arts and the families involved, however today they show little care for family on Mothers day. Our family is unable to enjoy this day together because SLT chose to plan a day of practices and events that could have been done any other day of the week.I'm saddened by this choice to seperate families on a day where our mothers want every extra minute they can get.
phersbabydoll1: Always such a lovely time at SLT. We chose seats in the balcony this time instead on the main floor and the view was much better.Percy Jackson was amazing. Well done all.

Juanita K. Hammons Hall for the Performing Arts: what do users think?
OzarkSteam Mighty Clean: Saw Jackson Browne, what an amazing show. The whole experience was great. Love to do more shows there in the future!
Oop Noop: Jackson Browne concert. Good music and great venue
R Turer: So. Nobody directing various entry points outside for event. Until too late. Long lines. Wanded for entrance. A mess, really. Facility ok but wayfaring (bathrooms, food and beverage, etc) needs work. Not a great first time experience. But I'll be smarter next time?
Jean McGinnis: It was very nice.
Jan Brashear: Very nice
Nicolai Stinnett: This theater always puts on fantastic shows and displays throughout the entire building. The staff are very nice and treat everyone with kindness and respect. I love getting to come here every time and attend shows that are bound to inspire everyone!
Andrew Stuehmer: When to a dance recital here. Cool place! The bathrooms are big and the seats aren't uncomfortable.
Steven Yaxley: Seats are just slightly better than a sports venue. I couldn't see anything special with the place. I definitely wouldn't want to pay to see a show and sit in worse seats than your average high school auditorium.
Tone Cypret: Beautiful theater
Bonni Douglas: We like the shows but the staff make a ton of errors in the office which has been an expensive problem for us several times. They will not make corrections or refund sales even when they mess up. Their fees tacked on are absurdly high for such a small out dated theater, $160 on our last ticket purchase. If this wasn't the only option we'd go elsewhere. The sound is also often kind of a mess in there, everyone says it's difficult to understand people on the stage. I can say it's the theater after seeing the same show touring in a different city more than once. The seats are uncomfortable and rickety, the "bar" area never makes their over priced drinks correctly. They fail to adequately advertise the shows, we have season tickets and will still not know that they have options for backstage passes or extra shows unless we happen to hear it announced in the theater. It's just super mediocre and to expect us to pay $40 to print an e ticket is absurd and asking for trouble.
Robin Hagen: They are always good to the customer
Debbie Siler: Great venue for live theater. Only negative is the lack of women's bathroom facilities. Lines 20 minutes long for a show that was maybe 60% full.
Shannon Russell: Great place!@
Lacie Turner: Beautiful venue with an impressive sound system
Juane Chapman: The venue was excellent as always. The show "Chicago" was fun, great, and delightful.Do NOT EVER buy tickets except directly from MSU. We were scammed by "Vivid Seats" yes the same company of the Taylor Swift ticket issue🤔.Needless to say, the staff at Juanita K. Hammons Hall went above and beyond to assist us.Rebecca N. thank you so very much for your kindness, understanding, and willingness to help.We haven't a photo to share just a huge THANK YOU REBECCA and BOX office TEAM❣️
debbie hunlock: Love going here to see Broadway Shows!
Trev: Hammons Hall is a nice treat for the area and provides a nice selection of Broadway shows and other events. The seating is a bit tight; as a smaller person myself I find it a little too close and a much taller or bigger person could find the seats fairly uncomfortable.
JW DeLong: It is so wonderful to have a place like this in Springfield. From the symphony to the Broadway tours you will only find in big cities . Hammons hall brings the big city here to Springfield!
Justin Sharp: Beautiful venue with stunning acoustics. Not a bad seat anywhere in the building!
Michele Mcconnell: It's was a beautiful venue. We got to listen to the Springfield Community Orchestra. Excellent!
Karri Halley: Shows are always nice but the facility is starting to show wear and tear and needs some updating and maintenance.

Gillioz Theatre: what do users think?
Samuel Helmkamp: Great old building. Historic setting.
Angie Lopez: A beautiful place! Geoff and his staff are very passionate about their jobs. They love the place and it’s history. It is definitely a place I recommend and take visitors!
K. G.: Going to the Gillioz for the opera felt like being in an SNL skit. I understand maybe "Historic" might be code for our heat might not work as I had to don a coat and stocking cap due to a cold breeze or A/C running in dead of winter. Annoying, but not a deal breaker. However the staff members sitting behind me who came in late, and pretty much started busting open and crumpling bags of chips and stuffing their faces as they made more noise than 2 year olds eating was distrespectful to the artists and beyond annoying. 100% hated my Gillioz experience!
Peter Doughty Music: Great venue, but the sound system needs a little work. George Clinton show was amazing last night, service was great, staff were friendly, venue looked great too, but the "audio experience" was heartbreaking and kinda the whole point.
Laurie Krantz: Lovely old theater. I've seen several concerts here. We have always sat in the Orchestra seating area, which is the main floor rather than the balcony. Sound quality is good. Love the smaller-type venues! Many restaurants in the area for pre-concert meals. The Gilloiz serves adult beverages. We look forward to seeing many more shows here.
Connie Westerman: Love thisnhistoric theater!
Becky Price: I have never had a bad event at the Gillioz. Every seat is a great seat. The architecture alone is worth going for!
Samuel Senn: Beautiful theatre with great views throughout!
Garry Thornton: Very old historical venue for music very good sound friendly staff
M D: Neat old venue but could use quite bit of TLC.
Kenny Moore: I love this place
Sarah Jones: Beautiful theater helpful and friendly staff
Lydia Cartrette: Awesome venue!#AaronLewis
Krystal Davis: Love this beautiful building
Joanne Mendonza-Earle: Didnt go in but worth seeing on Rte 66 in Springfield!
Shelby H.: We loved watching the opera! Also, had my ptk pinning ceremony here years ago!
Wayne Stewart: The Gilloiz is absolutely breathtaking. My wife and I attended a REO concert a few years ago and were sitting on the front row in the lower section. I group of 50 to 100 STOOD between us and the stage and it was either stand (which I couldn't do because of a bad hip) or sit and look at butts. Last spring I saw that Bruce Hornsby was going to be there so I bought tickets on the end of row 1 in the balcony thinking NOW there's NO WAY anyone can block my view! WRONG! I discovered that there are two or three boxes on either side and the chair back were 4 feet high and they were filled with people sitting erect in their chairs, not theatre seats and again I could see nothing but backs of heads! Also, my leg length is 28 1/2 inches and I COULD NOT keep my knees from digging into the partition even though I was sitting all the way back in the seat.
Christine O'Neil: I attended the Bruce Hornsby concert on Saturday, September 24th and could not have been more disappointed. For the majority of the concert, the music was interrupted by ushers with bright flashlights, speaking in loud tones while escorting guests to their seats - some of them well over 30 minutes late. Because the concession stand was open, people filtered in and out over the two hour event, sloshing drinks and turning flashlights on to locate their seats. Because no one was there to discourage it, people were texting, videoing and using the flash on their phones to take multiple photos. Not to mention the fact that guests were fanning themselves because it was so uncomfortably warm.I'm a huge fan of the arts and was excited to attend my first concert at the Gillioz, but this will definitely be my last and I'll be certain to discourage all friends and family from attending as well.I'm sad that I was unable to enjoy Bruce Hornsby's music; wasting money and time on an event at your theater.
Stacy J: Went to a concert here.Beautiful venue.Definitely looking forward to returning.
Brad Hall: Purchased tickets for theory of a Deadman and still haven't received our refund. They say the artist has to issue a statement but when they are rescheduling and you don't know if you could make it with the covid and all they should refund when people could use their money back also in tough times.UPDATED Sept 7thOkay I have to take back everything I said before. This place is great, I was on the balcony and a younger guy was working the seating and he actually did his job keeping everything safe, getting on to people for having their drinks on the edge top, I seen security down low escort someone off and do their jobs also very professional. This place ran perfect from what I seen. I will definately be coming back. Thanks for your professionalism.
William Dodson: typical 50s driveby
