Natalya Crisostomo: A cute little restaurant with delicious food, mediocre service, and reasonable prices. Our waiter seemed to not be present at all. Six of us were seated at a small table in the corner, I am assuming because of the small kids. The waiter brought out 4 small plates for the appetizers, only 4 sets of silverware when we asked for it, and I am still waiting for my straw.

We asked for the bread service with olive oil and Parmesan from the menu and didn’t get it, I’m assuming that’s why, since there wasn’t real GF bread. Our whole party got their food except for me, and they kept saying it was coming and it wasn’t until everyone was done that it did. No offers to comp, no explanation or apology. Went to order a GF piece of cake and they said they didn’t have any desserts that were on the menu. Autumn Bradshaw: Location was a little bit odd but other than that this place was a 10/10 experience. Good garlic bread you get to put on yourself, so it's not too much or too little. I got the Diana pasta with no shrimp, I don't know what my parents and sisters got but they seemed to like it plenty. Took leftovers home and ate it a couple hours later. Workers were nice, I don't remember our server's name but she was very kind. Love this cute place! Very clean and cool atmosphere.

Meredith Linder: I am very disappointed in this restaurant. In January 2023, I called to make reservations for 12 people for my parents 50th wedding anniversary dinner for May 12, 2023 at 6:30 pm. The reservation was taken and we were looking forward to the meal. In April 2023, I spoke with them again to change the time and confirm our reservation for their private room. It was confirmed and again, we were looking forward to the experience. When we arrived on May 12 at 7:20 pm for a 7:30 pm dinner, I was told they had no reservation and the private room was in use. Upon checking a SECOND reservation book, my reservation was found and I was told they had forgotten to "move our reservation to the main book". When I asked to speak with the manager, the hostess told me the manager wouldn't tell me anything different than what she had told me. I still wanted to see the manager. After her arrival she said she would speak to the front of house at their next meeting. That is unacceptable. She then proceeded to tell us she could "piece meal" tables together in the private room with another party. Again, unacceptable. Then she took us to the "owners room" and tried to tell me that the table there would seat 12 people. That room was messy, cold, and up a very narrow, dark staircase. Again, unacceptable. I stepped outside to discuss our options with my family and it was decided we would move our dinner to another establishment. When I went back in to tell the manager we would be accommodated at another restaurant, she had miraculously made it work in the private room. I declined her half hearted attempt and we were able to have a fantastic meal and experience at Nicola's restaurant. I do not recommend Avanzare and I hope they have an overhaul of their front of house staff.
tyler burks: Haven’t been here in a few years. Wife’s food was on point, more than she needed so had some of hers. My pasta was extremely bland and no sauce whatsoever. Will try again just will be a bit.

Allan Holiday: Very good food. Excellent service. Best to get an RSVP. Great place for couples. Parking is a little difficult due to being downtown. Prices are set little high but quality is great. Romantic style atmosphere. Handicap accessible. Easy to see from road. I personally recommend this place myself for good Italian food. My plate, the lobster ravioli, didn’t seem like it was made in-house. The beef carpaccio seemed like good quality ingredients but was bland - I would suggest capers. For desert, limoncello sponge cake, I was expecting tartness - but it fell flat. Would I return? Potentially for lunch at a cheaper cost than dinner when that service resumes.

Our first sign should have been the bread that came out that was literally like croutons. We got the eggplant parm for appetizer. They burnt it so they apologized that it would not be out prior to our dinner. We said that was fine. When we did end up getting our eggplant parm it was almost inedible. The eggplant pieces were dehydrated like leather. The rest of our food was just ok. Nothing special and not worth the price.

Bruno, new owner/chef 1, new owner/chef 2) and has been my favorite Italian in Springfield and usually always good! Except last night! My husband and I had 2 different dishes- his with cauliflower that was raw- mine was cold and not the same as the many times I’ve had it before! And what (when) did they start using big plates for the pasta dishes rather than the pasta bowls that keep it warm longer! And when does a restaurant run “ out of coke”???The drinks were great as usual ( good bartender) but the experience as a whole was disappointing!!!! Hope it improves- I hate to give it up!
John Berry: Four of us had dinner there before going to see Hamilton. The special I had picked out prior to arriving was already sold out. Which was odd because we were dining early. The suggestion by the waiter was very disappointing but everyone else enjoyed their meal very much. We will try again. Oh the waiter was super and he did his best to make a selection similar to what I intended to have.

joanne levy: Have eaten here several times and each time the food and service have been excellent. Tonight was their Valentine's special menu and it did not disappoint. My husband and I each chose different entrees (Steak Diane and Coq au Vin) so that we could try each and different desserts for the same reason (flourless chocolate torte and Pavlova) but the rest of the meal was identical. Both entrees were cooked to perfection with the Steak Diane being our overall favorite. The meals were well planned and the optional wine pairing was well chosen and added to the enjoyment of the meal. Kudos to the kitchen staff and to the servers and all who worked so hard to make this meal and evening a success. I encourage you to visit Bruno's yourself. Reservations are advisable.
Charles Doan: This place is beyond fantastic. Some of the freshest pasta I have had since being in Italy. I do patron a lot of great restaurants in Springfield area and this is by far one of the top ones. The carbonara actually has some of the best texture I’ve had in this area on top of that, They have some really great whiskey selections. There’s no way to go wrong with this place if you’re dining in.

We called Nicola's and they were able to accommodate us within minutes. The ambience was absolutely wonderful and the food was impeccable. The front of house was kind and immediately seated us in the beautiful, quiet dining room. Katie, our server, went above and beyond to make our experience outstanding. Multiple times we were sitting and waiting when she only had 3 tables for things we should not have had to including getting water glasses filled when we first arrived and paying our check which we finally just paid at the bar after watching her yack and yack 2 tables away with a customer. She constantly was at their table and dragging out conversation about personal relationships and high school memories. Our first visit and we were very disappointed with the lack of service which our tip hopefully reflected. My boyfriend was far more generous than I would have opted to be. We will attempt 1 more future visit and hope to have a better server at that time.

logan rector: This is the 3rd time I've tried roccos that they've failed completely. It's 2 blocks away. I want to like it and the first couple times I did. Then i got sick after eating a calzone. I passed it off as a one time thing. However this is the second time I've asked for thick crust and not received it and this time the pizza is undercooked. I don't bother calling because the customer service is non-existent and the employees don't care at all. I experienced that the first 2 times I've called to let them know something had gone amiss with my order.

Sara Edwards: I love this place! My sister & I were meeting with our family for our birthday dinner. We had a group of eight people. I wasn't sure my 5 year old would do well here, so I tried to get reservations at other places. Most would not take reservations, and I didn't want to wait an hour to get a table on a Friday night in Springfield.Nonna's took reservations. They had our table ready with kid menus. Justin Murphy: To start, I called here shortly after they opened and I was able to make a reservation for dinner without a problem. We were seated quickly once we arrived and the server took care of us. The food we ordered was pretty good and it met our expectations. We were in the restaurant a while, but the server wasn’t overbearing at all, which I really appreciated. He checked in just enough. The atmosphere was a little dark, but it was also a cloudy day, so the glass windows at the front of the restaurant had no sun to let in. This is a good Italian spot downtown if that’s what you’re looking for!

Jonathon Miller: We decided to eat at Nonna's on a whim at 7:30 at night. It was pretty busy when we showed up and where not greeted quickly. After a 15/20 min wait we were seated.
