The Library Station: what do users think?
Doc Trins O'Grace: Very cordial staff, the building an inviting design. Libraries are something new. 😬
Austin Clowers: This library is a great resource for the community and kids.
Toni Bradley: Staff was incredibly helpful and polite. Made copies and passport photos while I was here.
Paulbo D.: Great, we need to keep this library. The staff in the middle desk are not helpful. They act like you are bothering them.
Laurie Macy: All I can say is just how sad I am to see how much the library has deteriorated in our community. They are beyond rude, completely condescending to customers and willing to gouge customers to make money. My suggestion would be to put your money into buying books from local book stores. That way you won't have to be treated like trash and you get to keep the book!
Curtis “FU” Sliffe: Id like to say that for a person in my current set of circumstances especially, this place is a total Blessing! Anyone giving these people negative reviews should rethink their position and learn how to be grateful. This place is totally awesome!
Kirara's Mom: Great . Like always.
Kevin Walker: Friendly staff, nice library. Always fun things to do there with my son. He lovesss the place.
Ashley Rocha: Stagg was very friendly, everything was clean and quiet the way it should be. Printers easy to use.
katycannreadbooks: The Station is such a great place to get book, help, or use computers! The librarians are very helpful. They have nice sections for teens and kids. The kids room is incredible! Check out extra programs for things such as crafts, learning projects, book clubs, and more!
Anna Williams: My children and I LOVE this Library! Should defibrillator come check out Pokemon Night on Wednesday!
DaddysGirl99: The staff always has the answers, and I like the decor.
Mary Cunningham: Yummy food
Leah Shelton: The Library Station sits adjacent to Panera on Kansas expressway. The layout is very unique and fun. They have made this library very family friendly with a road going into the children's section and through the library. The library boasts a good size teen section, and has adequate books for adults as well. Well. They host many fun activities and each of their sections have great activities for children, teens, or adults to engage. I highly recommend this library as a place to go. When you need to get out of your house. Check out their activities. There is something for everyone!
Don Santacroce: I remember when you could read and study in the library. Not anymore. It has become a place to socialize and staff makes no attempt to control it. If you say anything you are the bad guy!!
A Mitchell: What a neat place. And the the people were very helpful
Julie Adams: Staff is very helpful with copy, fax retreiving data. Interlibrary loans books does take time depending on book. Does have private meeting rooms, childrens area very large compared some cities. Mobile library not offered in my area.
Becka: I went in to submit my application for a passport and was told they were booked on appointments for the day. I shrugged it off and set an appointment for next week, but because I had everything I needed in-hand, they fit me in anyway. I couldn't be more greatful, but this is the best I could do. Definitely recommend for passport business!
Casey Martin: I just want to say, front desk staff is fantastic! The people who work the 'middle help desk' are far from helpful. I used the library's online print service. I sent documents in the previous night to print at the library in the morning. I got to the library and was directed to the help desk in the middle of the library. I arrived to two men operating the desk, chit-chating away. They were rude when I told them what I was there for, and pointed me over to a computer. I played with the computer for about 5 minutes and went to receive help because the computer froze and wouldn't turn on. I asked for more help, he acted like I was a hassle. I got it fixed, but then the machine would not take my money for the printing services. I received more help from the man, and he grabbed the twenty out of my hand and said, "the machine doesn't take large bills like that," and he gave me smaller bills. At this point, I didn't want to ask for more help because of the way he made me feel. I tried to deposit my money and transferring my money to quarters for the machine, but it didn't seem to work, and I didn't want to ask for more help. I seemed to be disturbing both the gentlemen and I was a hassle. I felt like if I had been guided through and helped, it would of went smoother and I would know how to do it for next time. I kept asking him questions, so the man knew I did not know how to use the printing services at the library. I left with a bunch of quarters transfered from the cash I had, and no papers printed. This was very frustrating because I am a college student that lives on the north side of Springfield. I think I would much rather drive across town to The Library Center with better services and more friendly people.
Chris McGuire-Collins: IT was a great class. I loved that we got a goody bag and seeds. Thank you.
Charley Barnes: Great library with helpful librarians and tons of extras like activities for kids and fax and printing stations. An indispensable resource!

The Library Center: what do users think?
Christine Kelley: Best place in town to get some quiet reading time and find a good book or a good comic or study time. Update: since the pandemic some things have changed but the library is still one of the best places to go to find whatever book you wanna borrow or sit and read in quiet.
Teri Bowen: Kind of sad that I'm new to the area and this is one library that's open on Sundays but because I don't live in Greene county I would have to pay $80 a year just to check out books from there!!!!!! That's sad and outrageous! I'll be waiting to check out books anywhere else!!
Anamaria Costin: Wonderful place for the kiddos
Michael Smith: Thankful for the great staff, facility, and selection of books. THANK YOU THANK YOU!
Caleb Carlile: Great customer service. Getting a passport excellent information was given
Gregg Bender: One of the best libraries I've come across in the midwest.
Bruce Lowry: I love the library and all the workers in it. They are so much help . For years they have helped me with various projects.
Sarina: Love this library and the fantastic selection to choose from. Sad that they closed the coffee shop down but enjoyable nonetheless.
Katherine Boyd: Very disappointed that if I wanted to check out anything I had to pay almost $90! It's for a year to use but it was because I didn't live in Greene County. Won't be back
Steve P: The people were a great help
David Daniels: The three librarians on duty today are being very loud and inconsiderate of the patrons.
Chrystal Moody: They have always been so kind and helpful! Thank you!
Stefanie Maxwell: It's great!Only complaint is that it's uncomfortably warm. This is especially true is you are using a study or meeting room. Some of the meeting rooms do have stand up fans that make them less uncomfortable though.
Verna McIlvenna: The staff are always friendly and helpful. The library is always clean.
Hunter Moore: Best experience ever. All the staff was extremely nice and Zack went above and beyond to make my experience perfect. The computers were extremely quick and the printers worked great!! Thank you so much
Charley Barnes: Great library. It has more than one would think a library would and the staff is knowledgeable and eager to help.
Bryan Keith: Great library
Amber dawn Dixon: Always friendly, helpful, clean and great selection
Svitlana Shevchenko: Very good 👍
Shane Campbell: The best place to go to get your passport. You will need to call to schedule an appointment, but they have plenty of times available, even late in the evening. The man that helped me was very nice, I was not rushed, and we swapped travel stories during the process. We both think Glacier National Park is a must see!
Anthony Stanford: Very nice facilities and quality wifi!

Park Central Branch Library: what do users think?
Robin Reel: Great branch of the great Springfield-Greene County library system. There's not a ton of books for browsing at this branch, but that's just an unavoidable consequence of being in a tiny downtown building. It is a great access point for library services, though; I live downtown and it's very convenient for me to place holds online and pick them up here. I just wish it was open for longer hours, and please get rid of the cop that hangs around.
Joe Ellis: They helped me out with a fine that was really old and it's really going to put me in a position where I can use the resource and my neighborhood that I need.*Update*Still an awesome location. I have books from other branches transferred here and pick em up.
Melissa Northern: The staff is always helpful and friendly. I have books put on hold and sent there. It is just a few blocks from my house, so very convenient to get to. I brought my grandson in recently during Taste of Somo and let him play in the children’s area for a bit. He really enjoyed the children’s section!
Guy Hippie Wright: Quite
ERIC NICHOLS: Handicap accessible, quiet, light traffic.
Killian Lile: Pretty good little library if you need to spend a little time. Not the greatest selection in books, but you can request from other locations if needed.
Chris Brandenburg: Great staff
Blu' Daniel 21: Of course I love it here 😍 when I run out data or otherwise can't connect to the internet in certain emergencies I can always depend on Park Central Library to help complete an unexpected task. You're gonna love it too 👈💙😎👍👌✌️
Gregory Frazier: It would be awesome if this branch simply had more books available for perusal. I more often use CoolCat and reserve books, but it's fun to run across something you might not have seen otherwise. I realise there's only so much space, but surely those wall displays could be consolidated and expanded. It is convenient for those who work and/or live downtown, but that's about where the plusses end.
Kataryna Elizabeth: Great staff! Super knowledgeable about the selection and very helpful
April Meier: Nice selection and staff
Gina Booth: Very helpful staff.
David Coker: Good luck if you want to sit somewhere in particular. The homeless kids treat this library like it's their house. As a homeless person myself I find it embarrassing. The staff seem to think that just because I'm homeless that I know these people. I don't, and I don't want too either. Other then that it's a nice small library
Josh Cotter: So far every experience I have had here has been pleasant and enjoyable, I was able to ask about some books I was looking for, ask that they be sent here, and check out a book while waiting.
John Bodoni: I walked in needing to print a document, and the folks there were courteous and professional in getting me set up with a library card (first one I've had in decades!) and explaining what I needed to do. When I was a kid, the coolest thing about the library was the Bookmobile - things have changed a bit since then.
Enerim Mpo: The staff are awesome!
Max Brune: I don't go to bars yet but mamacita
Grace Shalom Hopkins: There isn't a drop box which is really difficult...
Jason “Scooter” Roush: Quiet and peaceful.
Daniel Blue Wonder 2019: I love this place they all sorts of movies & something new every week if you love true stories or autobiography or just whatever you're on your he mood for , they probably have it you gotta go , your gonna love it.🤓👍👌✌️☮️☯️💙📖📘📚
Lilith Lilit: As a homeless man trying to get things situated I was harassed and laughed at multiple times by the staff working 12/6/19 from 1-4 pm.Both workers were highly unprofessional and acted negatively as a public resource.

Cuckoo's Nest: The staff is wonderful, very knowledgeable and patiently solved all my problems!
Dave Manary: Quiet inside. Lots of books and other media on shelves. Some comfortable places to sit.
Anne Griswold: Very nice library, clean, organized, friendly staff. Wish they had more technology/tablets and options like those, for the kids...but being a smaller library, I understand that they won't have as many as the larger ones in town.Overall, very nice library!
Darci Friberg: My family and I love visiting the library and this is one of the best ones to visit in Springfield. The librarians are always super helpful. My kids love to play in the children's reading area.

Midtown Carnegie Branch Library: what do users think?
Justin Campbell: Located at the southwest corner of the square. It's not as large as the Library Center on South Campbell or Library station on North Kansas Expressway, but still a very nice library with a fair amount of computers to use for school, work, internet, etc. Good selection of books, magazines, newspapers, etc. And as with all the other Springfield-Greene County Libraries, has full time security on-site.
Jeffrey (turtlesavingclub): Great library, kind staff.
Bibin Mathew: Good
Kevin Johnson: Great place. Very friendly ppl.
Glen Loftin: It's a great resource for this community and it houses the Ozark literacy council
Cheryl Douglas: The Librarian's are very nice and helpful. I used their public computer to check my emails.
Janetta taylor: GOOD
Janis Seaman: Staff are always friendly and helpful. Love Midtown.
Emily Smith: Very friendly helpful staff. Convenient for my son who attends school across the street. Nice safe place for him to hang out after school and be his nerdy self.
Rodney Sewell: Nice old library.
albert chapman: The staff at the Midtown Carnegie Branch are just the absolute Best Bestest Ever.! They're all so helpful, kind, knowledgeable and wonderful people. They always go out of their way to assist me with my research projects. There are "No Better Staffing" anywhere in all of Missouri.
Kevin Atkinson: Nice and quiet, as a library should be, no masks required...
Joyce McMurtrey: Helpful, kind staff, tidy, and safe surroundings.....very welcoming.
Brooke Lynn: 3 children and myself waited outside, for an appointment we were early to. I guess this is loitering, on public property. Instead of waiting outside we had to go inside were i spent the next hour trying to keep a mask on two small kids. This is public property and we had a purpose for being there. We were not hurting anything or anyone. Your policies do not over write peoples rights to peacefully use what our taxes pay for.Edit to response- The security officer was just doing what you told him to do. I already spoke to you. This rule was made by the administration, not by the guard on duty. I was told by you guys that the rule was there because of problems with the homeless. I'm clearly not homeless, but if thats your response to what you assume is a homeless mom with 3 kids, shame on you.. You are a public service paid for by the public, inside and out, act like it.
Patric Milligan: Wonderful as always, went for the free seed today. Great library, good fun and happy people. You can't beat that!
Nancy Still: It's clean, well stocked, computers to use, and staff a very friendly.
Rebecca Haines: This is by far my favorite library in springfield. The librarian is really nice and it's small and cozy
Alex: Excellent library close to both Drury and MSU.
Samuel Bruner: Friendly helpful staff. Not their fault they have to adhere to the shortened "emergency" hours!
Margaret Asher: Great staff and wonderful services!
Charles Jones: Very nice

Springfield-Greene County Library District - Administrative Offices: what do users think?
Timothy White: Nice staff- great selection 👌
Arielle Morin: I love our library system! This is my favorite branch.
Alissa Fuenfhausen: I love coming to the library! It's such a nice setting to get work done at. The workers have always been friendly as well.
Robin Willis: The workers are very helpful. Always immediately fix any problem I have, I truly love my library and staff.
Justin Jenkins: Great library system with lots of locations, delivery, and ability to hold books.Audio book section is vast as well.
C Walden: There has never been a time that I encountered problems at any of the public libraries in Springfield. In fact, library workers are always helpful and tend to go the extra mile. This is true now and was also true when our kids were young. Furthermore, the library does a great service to our community by allowing groups to use well-designed rooms for group meetings, programs, etc.
Christopher Early: Love the library. Quiet, knowledgeable librarians, and a great kids section.
Avery Nelson: I returned my books late then promptly got a bill for $188. They didn't have my correct address so they just sent me to collections when I didn't return my books on time. I called and the guy said, "this doesn't look right" and transferred me. The most unpleasant crass and rude lady told me it was my responsibility to update my address when I check out books. Well duh rude lady. But no one comes in to the library to check out a book and updates their address. That wasn't on my mind. I didn't think, oh what if I don't return them on time and they only notify through mail (rude lady said that's how they make sure it gets to the right person lolol) I had lived out of state for over a year and just moved back. So rude lady, you did catch me on a formality. It is my responsibility ultimately. That library is nice in design and content but it's laughable how they try to come up with money. I would rather take a blow to my credit than to support this library. And some employees need some social training to deal with the public. Especially you, rude lady. Being mean requires a lot of energy. You should try lifting your eyebrows and smiling.
Heather Roberson: They are always so helpful and we love the relaxing and clean south Campbell location.
Jonathan Hollingsworth: Great library. Was rather out of the way when first constructed, but Springfield has grown southward.
brian zebel: they block all of the websites i want to watch. they tell me its adult content, well im a adult so why block it
