Matthew Simpson, MD: what do users think?
Chelyan Kile: Killed my spleen damaged nerves. Did not tell me that he infarcted my spleen and did all this damage to my body. I went to the hospital every month by ambulance vomiting violently for years because of the surgery that was unnecessary. I still throw up and still get sick. This has given me post-traumatic syndrome when it comes to doctors because I don't trust them anymore dr. Simpson withheld important information from me. After I confronted him about him killing my spleen he threw me to the Wolves got an attitude and pretty much left me to fend for myself. I would not recommend Matthew Simpson to my worst enemy he should not be practicing if this is how he does people he literally ruined my life thank God I live through it because I know others who haven't.
Carrie Heseman: Lipoma removal with staples left inside my body without my permission or being checked for allergies. I was never informed of foreign objects left in the surgical site. After years of being misdiagnosed I finally figured out the staples left in my body were making me sick. Another surgeon removed them.
Thomas Jefferson: Dr Simpson was the first surgeon to take the time to listen to me and figured out my problem I’ve been dealing with for years was my gallbladder. Very personable and truly cares about his patients.
Kendra L: Dr. Simpson himself deserves 10 stars, as does the majority of his staff. However, this is a case of one bad apple ruining the whole bunch.I had hernia repair surgery on 10/4, and began violently coughing shortly thereafter from stomach acid. It was extremely painful and was pulling at my stitches. I called the office's after hours line, as instructed in the event of any problems, and received a call back from a woman named Jamie, though she would not give her last name. She was extremely rude to me and completely lacked empathy. She did not listen to my concerns and instead spent the majority of the phone call reaming me out for taking, in her view, "too much antacid." She also read me the riot act for not answering my phone fast enough when she called me, though I called her back immediately. She huffed and puffed like a petulant child who had been awoken from a nap, and made it very clear she could not care less about my issues. I hate writing bad reviews, but Dr. Simpson and the rest of his staff are so wonderful and caring, I hate to see this vile woman ruin their hard work and good reputations. I do hope this woman attends some sensitivity training, or at the very least stops taking on call shifts, because she very clearly does not care one iota for Dr. Simpson's patients.Fortunately I was able to resolve the issue myself, and received a follow up phone call from someone in the office who actually treated me like a human being. I sincerely hope something is done about this Jamie woman so she does not further ruin the reputation and perception of the rest of this wonderful group of people.
Nedgra Culp LLC: Ask Doctor Simpson to sing the theme from Sanford and SonOn a serious note Dr Simpson performed my ablation about 3 months ago and I am very happy and I'm very thankful to Dr Simpson and his team
Darla Chilton: He is a WONDERFUL Doctor! I'd refer him to anyone who wants gastric bypass surgery.
Scott Allen: I was very happy with his procedure.
LeeAnne Tindell: I don't know what we would do without Dr. Simpsons care and surgeries. After going for over 10 yrs with pain from a hernia surgery done incorrectly, Dr. Simpson knew what route to go to help me. Very compassionate and discussed with my husband and I what he felt should be done. Because of the two different issues with my hernias I have to have a second procedure. But we have all our trust that Dr. Simpson will be able to take care of my hernia health issues. Because I have been very nervous before the first procedure and the next to come, he always talked to us while in his office for my appts. He is known as a top notch surgeon and we highly recommend him.
Becky Teubner: My husband and I both had doctor Simpson for our weighloss surgery and I had no difficulties after surgery my husband on the other hand has had some difficulties healing and Dr Simpson has been there every step of the way. If you want a compassionate Doctor Surgeon I would choose Dr Simpson.
Dee Comeaux: My daughter has been very sick and dealing with this for over 3 years. We had been to 5 other doctors and had several tests. They all said there was nothing wrong. We walked into Dr. Simpson's office. We saw his assistant and she listened (felt like she was the first person to really listen to us) and then she went and got Dr. Simpson. He walked in - asked 2 questions and said "your gallbladder is bad." We had 3 tests done on her for gallbladder. He recognized the signs and within 4 days her surgery was done and she felt amazing for the first time in years. CAN NOT THANK YOU ENOUGH!!!!
Rick O'Dell: Avoid this guy. 3 visits and finally on the 3rd visit had to beg to actually talk to "him", you will only get the nurse practitioner every time, who is not a surgeon, nor an export. Finally got my surgery, 4 months later no change in symptoms... got a new scan with a new doctor to learn they didn't fix anything and they completely avoided a hernia (in the exact location of the surgery) that is allowing a tangle in my bowel tract. Didn't even touch it. Have the exact same surgery scheduled again now, within 4 months of this one (obviously with a different surgeon this time). Thanks for a miserable 4 months.
Darlene Wheeler: Dr Simpson performed my EGD. Prior to the procedure he stated he would be taking biopsies. I made three phone calls to get results, with no return calls. In frustration, I mentioned he may have forgotten to do the biopsies. My hiatal hernia with the Nissen Fundoplication surgery was scheduled for April 13th and then rescheduled to the 20th. I get a call today (13th) that he is refusing to do my surgery, feeling there is a lack of trust. I assured them that I was fine with moving forward with the surgery, but he still refuses. Keep in mind, I never spoke to him personally. I wish he had taken the time to call me.
Terena Hudson: Recently performed surgery on my father and did an excellent job. I have now been diagnosed for surgery and requested my surgeon referral to be Dr. Simpson. My family and I trust him having dealt with him recently.
Scott Dunsmuir: Excellent surgeon. He performed my emergency surgery.Plan on waiting at least 30+ min for an office visit though. Had to recheck in everytime I went for an office visit(even to see nurse for staple removal) Very annoying when people going to see other surgeons are called back seconds after checking in.Paper work waited over a week after getting filled out for a signature.Luckily I didn't have to wait for my emergency surgery.
