Stoveworks Lofts: what do users think?
Emily: I’ve lived here since the summer of 2021, and I love it! We’ve only needed a few normal maintenance repairs, and they were very prompt with fixing them. It’s quiet, but anytime it hasn’t been, we have great security that comes pretty quickly. We feel very lucky to have this apartment. Couldn’t recommend more!
Gabby Southworth: EDIT: I have been contacted by the management to change or take down my review. I will only leave up the facts.Only after posting this review did I receive my deposit after over a year. My apartment at Stoveworks had roaches. Seasonal bug sprays are done to prevent bugs, meaning they know bugs are a common issue. Construction was done on my apartment without any warning, leaving bricks missing from my ceiling and chunks of brick and dust on my floor. I have been told they no longer do business with the company that did that construction. My takeaway is: rent at your own risk and communicate frequently with management because they will keep a record of every text you send. If I had sent a text every time I saw a roach every single day that they crawled out of my sink, dishwasher, shower, and toilet, maybe things would have been different. I hope for renter's sake these issues have been fixed in the last year.
Stephen Jackson: Warning will cheat you out of your deposit. Me and my wife move the boys in it. When they moved out we cleaned the entire apartment top to bottom. The first inspector came in and said it was fine then they had another inspector come in and it was fine they had a third one come in and he found all kinds of stuff. Very corrupt.
McKenzie Ussery: Our experience with Stoveworks Lofts was unfortunately not a pleasant one. We experienced issues most of our time living there. We had bugs shortly after moving in. They were pretty prompt about coming to spray, but the problem persisted. Bugs were coming in and out of my dishwasher and all over my kitchen counters. From there, we moved into a different Stoveworks loft whenever our lease expired. In the new one I immediately noticed there was a rather large leak in the ceiling in the bathroom. When it rained, water would run in a steady stream from the ceiling, down the wall, and behind the electrical vanity lights. It felt super unsafe to me but was never resolved the entire time we lived there, even after my numerous asks to get it fixed. The biggest issue we had in our time with Stoveworks was the smoke smell. The smell of smoke began to fill up our loft, getting so bad that we could no longer sleep in our bedroom. We had to have the door closed constantly and it was almost unbearable to go in there. The clothes in the closet of that room even began to reek of smoke. I tried everything to help the smell as I felt as though it was making my husband and I sick. The management at Stoveworks was unfortunately not helpful in this situation. Even when asked if we could receive a discount on an early break of the lease, they still offered no help. My own living space became a space I did not want to be in or around, and it was frustrating not receiving any empathy from management. I wish our experience could have been very different and hope that others have a different one!
Dave Gambino: Stay away. The management is sloppy and was sloppy from day one. My daughter had to call on 4 different occasions to get the unit sprayed for bugs and each time management said we’ll be there next week. Also you will get little money back from your deposit. A four person loft leaves a $2000 deposit and immediately off the top they take $200 fee per lease. Then another $250 standard cleaning fee right off the top. $235 for painting etc. $1320 in fees. What a joke. Stay away!
Kristina Murdaugh: I've only been here about a month but I absolutely love living at Stoveworks so far. My apartment was super clean when I moved in and I love the way it looks. It makes staying at home all the time so much more bearable when you have a space you love.My experience with the management so far has been pretty positive as well. I had an a/c issue when I moved in that was handled promptly and everything pre-move-in was a breeze. They've been responsive when I need anything and I really appreciate that.Anyway, so far so good. Really love it here!
Ally Mesler: I have heard TERRIBLE things about Stoveworks Lofts. The landlord is awful to deal with and does not help out with problems in a diligent manner. Live ANYWHERE else but here.
Sydney Stevens: BUG INFESTED!! I asked multiple times for the bug issue to be taken care of but it was never resolved. Loft was NOT cleaned at all prior to move in. During my final walk through, they did not see any damage to anything in the loft. However, after receiving my deposit they accused me of breaking the refrigerator drawers, even though the refrigerator was checked during the final walk through. I asked for photos of the damage and never received them. I ended up receiving less than $20 of my deposit back.UPDATE:I contacted the property manager several times about the bug issue and asked them to spay again multiple times.I also have documentation requesting pictures of the damage to the loft that were never received.
Madelyn Labensky: Over priced. The exposed brick has a nice aesthetic and it’s downtown. However, I’ve had multiple leaks in the roof. Every time I’ve asked for something to be fixed, it’s been half fixed and then breaks again. You won’t get most of your deposit back because of cleaning fees and fixes. The place was dirty when I moved in. Springfield has better options than these lofts.
