WELHENER HBWALL: Excellent selection of mainstream and NFA items, reliable advice, and always willing to help get the item you want no matter if they have it or you want to transfer to them. Easily the best store in the area and the only one I do business with….for almost 15 yrs.
Jason Howard: Apparently, hours of business is inaccurate. Stopped by on Wed @5pm. They where already closed, when door hours clearly state 5:30.Furthermore, customers can't leave a message because business doesn't check or delete their messages. Very disappointing and unfortunate.
Todd Tilley: I have purchased firearms from several stores in the Springfield area and this is by far the best. If they don’t have what you want they can get it. I have purchased two special order firearms and they were in my possession within one week. Great prices and service.

JOSHUA DOOLEY: These guys are true professionals at there job. I’m sure me pulling in with out of state plates makes these guys say oh great. But they were very nice and asked if there was anything special I was looking for. I grabbed couple boxes of ammo checked out and they thanked me and said come back again. I will definitely be back. Wide selection of calibers nice little place.

Jeff Jones: I absolutely love this Gun shop. Brent and his wife are the nicest people. Always a smile and friendly. He never pressure sells, he greets you and lets you shop. He answers any questions and is always willing to help. My friends and I buy all our ammo, guns, accessories here. I would highly suggest shopping in this store. It's like the old time coffee shops, where you can visit and feel wanted. Anybody who says negative things about this store is definately out of their minds. Sometimes I even drop by twice a day. His prices are very reasonable as well. I'd much rather keep my money local than the big box stores. He's a patriot, and always willing to help.
222bobafett: Stoking fear and panic buying is how they turn a profit apparently. I went in there back in January to see what their ammo prices were like and was shocked to see much higher prices than you could find online or other shops, even during these difficult times for ammo purchasing.The real kicker though was how the guy at the counter was trying to sell an AR to a couple of obviously newer shooters, telling them that the new president was about to ban the AR and they'd better buy it today cause he was going to double the price of the gun tomorrow.Unbelievable that a shop owner would admit to unnecessary price increases and use such scare tactics to make a quick buck off new shooters. I can't recommend this store and haven't gone back since this experience.
Gregg Wilson: Thought I would give them a try since I live close to the store. Went in looking for some ammo and couldn't get anyone to help me...as a matter of fact I was never even greeted while I shopped their ammo rack. Got the vibe that I wasn't important enough to deal with. I never asked for help so I gave them the benefit of the doubt and went back in a few weeks later. I have a friend who bought a firearm from them...so I tried it again.Was treated the same way when I decided to give them another go of it...exact same thing happened. Some one behind the counter was helping a customer but the lady behind the counter was looking at a computer screen and never even said Hello or asked me for help.Will never set another foot in their store. Left there thinking I guess you have to be a high roller to get good service.I went back to The Stockpile in Clever and was treated as if they were glad I came in. I buy all my supplies from those guys....always helpful and appreciative.

My first purchase was a 500 rnd box of .223 and some 12 gauge buckshot. I went for ammo, but I'll be returning for a firearm. I had no expectations coming here, but was very impressed none-the-less. I rarely write reviews, but this was necessary. Extremely modern store. Everything is set out perfectly.10/10 would recommend.

These guys are knowledgeable, don’t pressure you into buying, and they have a wealth of knowledge if you need help. I highly recommend this place to any first time gun buyers who might be shy and even to the most experienced gun owners.

Hunter McDoogle: Great selection of items. Prices were expensive, not ridiculously high, but decently above other stores. Staff was horrible. Never acknowledged us when we were the only customers in the store. When I asked a question to one of the employees, he was rude. Would have to pay me to set foot back in this place. The kid behind the counter was arrogant and snobby. And this is towards a fire fighter, supposedly part of their main customer base. Staffed by a bunch of Instagram-operators, obviously not people who understand what the word service means. I browsed some other reviews and it appears as I am definitely not the only person that had this same experience. You obviously haven't learned Anchor.
Stanny B: I do not leave bad reviews normally, but this was a very unimpressive experience. Prices are TERRIBLE compared to the stores in my area(about an hour away). Took forever to get a quote on selling a firearm(after initially being told the one guy who buys in firearms had left for the day[why have employees in that you do not trust to purchase in firearms?]). Took forever to get sights installed on my new pistol. Ultimately, the only thing saving them is the concept that they had the firearm I was looking for.2/10, certainly won't be going back. I will just order through my local shops or use Eagle Armory in Springfield; they are cheaper, more intelligible, and friendlier.As others have stated, Anchor Tactical is overpriced. This is a fact. Maybe your customers get great service? My empirical evidence shows that I certainly did not, which is what warranted the bad review.Edit: Unfortunately, it is not my responsibility to prove that your customer service was horrible. Simply because you weren’t contacted does not push the fault back onto me. For context, on the initial review, the old “owner” of the google reviews responded and questioned my parenting for bringing my child in your store during COVID, if that tells you how petty/ignorant they were in regards to customer service.Hopefully you have made it a point to fix this poor customer service. However, it is a bit late in regards to this customer.

Bonnie Saltzman: I love coming to this business. They always help and the quality and cost is amazing. I'm able to buy my pants and have them altered at the same time for a small price. They keep all info in files so I can send my husband and know I'm getting gear that will fit.
JOSHUA DOOLEY: Nice and big. Lots of stuff to keep you looking around. Not the friendliest guys but there was a few younger gentleman in there asking stupid questions the salesman probably figured I was looking for a M16 like them. Prices are about right if you are in the area.
Troy Roberts: Decent store. I don't have any real complaints other than this place is really pricey compared to army/navy surplus stores. But I also understand the business side of profit and selling name brand items.
Chris Class: Just left Anchor Tactical Supply purchased a pair of gloves I desperately needed. I would’ve bought $500 more in items however but, as soon as a customer left a younger male employee and a younger women employee were talking very rude about her indecisiveness on buying her husband a gift. I simply will not be returning to spend my hard earned money at an establishment where the clientele gets criticized and ridiculed. I understand currently it is hard to find good employees but, the bar is set so low with not being disrespectful while customers are still in the building. Shameful and immature. It will surely cost them.

Tyler: *EDIT* the first part of this is the follow up.Cory promptly called me to address the issue. After bringing the gun back in for him to reexamine, he agreed it could have turned out better. He offered to take the gun back in and completely re-do the bluing job 100% free of charge. The turnaround was quick and this time the result on the gun absolutely EXCEEDED every expectation I had the first time around. The professionalism extended to me in this case really caused me to realize that in retrospect my negative review was unwarranted, and to understand that a simple phone call could've corrected it quicker. Thank you AGR!!!*OUTDATED*A gun of mine spent 9 months in their shop (was originally told 3 mo) for what I thought was a full reblue. Once finally getting the gun back after they lost it once (and paying almost double $ the original quote), I can't tell what has actually been done - besides some barrel refinishing. Upon a thorough inspection, the actual finish looks the same as it did when I took the gun in early LAST year. I'm not sure what went wrong here, but I'm feeling let down after having such high expectations - especially after giving my gun up for so long.
