SWS GOLF PERFORMANCE: what do users think?
Adam: SWS golf performance is the nicest golf facility in southern Missouri for improving your game. The high end Uneekor technology that Sean has equipped the space with is the best available. The amount of club data to help improve and analyze your swing is game changing. The ability to improve your swing using data and video replay is a big reason why the game of golf is getting so much better so quickly. If you are looking to improve at golf using modern day technology, this is as good as it gets. Sean is an incredible teacher of the game of golf as well - I am very appreciative and lucky to have him as a coach.
Kylee Hopper: I found out about Sean through some local people in Springfield. I contacted him to get help for my the fitness side of my golf game. I’ve worked with him a few months now, and I’ve noticed big differences in hitting the ball especially my driver further. I am more stable and I have learned a lot about golf specific fitness. I’m so grateful for Sean’s help and all the resources he’s given me! He’s helped me not only with fitness but with college as well. I would recommend him to anyone!
Jake English: Sean Saunders is a FANTASTIC golf coach. I was struggling with my swing being so bee to golf and Sean took me to the next level! I haven’t missed a fairway off the tee since I’ve been working with him and I plan to keep working with him going forward just because I enjoy the interactions and his attitude so much, not to mention, I’m sure I’ll continue to get better at my game as well! Go see him, it’s worth it.
Jarrett Paoni: I started getting more serious with golf and was looking for someone to really dive into the whole swing process. I wanted to learn how to swing properly like the pros instead of a quick fix. I kid you not after going through the program, I ended up making my first eagle and first hole in one.
Jan Parsons: I met Sean when I was looking for a PGA professional that could give me a TPI evaluation. I felt comfortable around him, and later decided to take lessons. I’m in my late 40’s and was impressed that the age range that he is able to help. From Elementary school Age up into people going into retirement and later. Whatever the age Sean is able to evaluate your swing and body characteristics to help you succeed. Sean will continue to push you and encourage you thru training and lessons. He is patient and can instruct you in all aspects of the golf game. The Ozarks is blessed to have an instructor like Sean.
Corey Norton: Sean is super easy to work with and very thorough in completing a swing evaluation and helping to design a program to assist you in gaining flexibility and other body improvements to help your game.
Jared Sloan: I have played golf at a very competitive level for the last 7 years a little in college and a lot of competitive summer tournaments. I recently had felt like i had gone as far as i could on my own (averaging around 73 in tournament play) and began to search out someone to add advice to my golf game. I found Sean and took a lesson with him, instantly we were able to identify some swing flaws through the use of BodiTrak and club data and made some changes to help hit the ball a little more consistently. Sean also used his TPI knowledge to mention some areas that he felt i was lacking in my physical ability to swing the golf club in an efficient manner and created a way to fix those flaws in the gym. After my assessment with Sean and a couple months of working and focusing on the swing changes the last 4 tournament rounds i have played have been 68, 72, 69, 71 (a tied for 3rd in a qualifier, as 1st place finish at -4). Sean has been instrumental in this swing change and my path to consistently competing at a very high level of golf. I would highly recommend going and vising Sean weather you are a beginner golfer who is just getting started or a golfer who competes at a very high level. Thanks again for everything!
Brett Davis: Sean was really helpful! He has an awesome set up. Will tell you exactly what’s going on and how to fix it!
Chris Brewer: I've known Sean for nearly ten years. He has excellent knowledge of the golf swing as well as human physiology and the science of movement. He uses great technology to give instant feedback. I'm looking forward to additional sessions with him.
Brian Powers: I went to Sean as a self made golfer shooting par one day and 95 the next. I had no basic understanding of the game or the basic fundamentals behind the game even though I’ve been playing for 7 years regularly. More importantly I did not know how to correct my swing on those bad days. In one long mind-blowing day, I learned more things about golf than I ever thought possible. I think the best thing he was able to teach me was some basic physics that create the golf shot. He tailored an exercise program for me focusing on flexibility and core strengthening. His wholistic yet simplistic no-gimmic method has began to payoff for me. My putting is so much better that nearly every put on my local course truly has a chance of finding the bottom of the cup. My swing is simple and more core and torso based now. My back doesn’t hurt anymore from all the wild movement in my body with my old swing. My biggest regret in golf is that I didn’t find him 7 years sooner. If you are a golfer looking to begin, reinvent, or strengthen your golf game, I want you to go see Sean! You’ll need to forget all the gimics, leave the quick fix stuff at home, and be ready to start a simple and fruitful journey with your golf game.
Lisa Tinkler: Sean's passion for golf and teaching is amazing. It's easy to understand why he stays so busy. Call him to find your best golf game!
Wesley Bigham: I purchased a gift certificate for a TPI swing analysis with Shawn at a charity auction for Big Brothers Big Sisters. I talked to someone with the organization and they said he had been a big supporter for a long time. That being said, I expected him to be a nice guy and I wasn’t disappointed. I had to have back surgery and had to put off my appt until several months after the certificate was expired. Shawn never batted an eye, he accepted it without needing an explanation. The appointment went extremely well also, he was able to evaluate where I lacked mobility and give me detailed instructions on how to improve my limitations all while tailoring my swing to deal with it until I can get back to normal. I so much appreciated his professionalism and attention to detail. I strongly recommend him and I will definitely make plans to see him as I continue to rehab.Do yourself and your golf game a favor and see Shawn, he will improve your game much more than that new driver or rescue wedge ever will.
Madelyn Jenkins: I started working with Sean at Achieving Your Best doing golf specific fitness training. He did a TPI Assessment first and then built me an online fitness program based off of my limitations as well as a BodiTrak assessment. I train with him twice a week at Achieving Your Best and do on course coaching a couple times per month. I am hitting my driver 50 yards farther and straighter and scoring on average 10 strokes better than last season. I’m excited for the future playing High School golf and getting noticed by the College coaches so I can play at the College level on scholarship. I recommend Sean to any Junior or High School golfer who wants to get their body and game ready for the next level.
Karen Fielding: I first met Sean through a ladies golf clinic he offered last summer. During that time it became evident that I needed to improve my golf skills but, my lack of mobility, balance and overall fitness kept me from making those improvements. Before I could really improve my golf game I had to improve my personal fitness. Sean offered the opportunity to train with him at Achieving Your Best. Through various golf and fitness assessments he set up a personal training program for me. I train with him two days a week. Each day of training offers a workout that is muscle specific and golf specific. Sean does an excellent job of explaining the goal of the exercise and teaching each movement pattern. He can modify a program/exercise to meet a specific need I might have on that day. I look forward to going to these workouts. Sean motivates and challenges me to push myself because he knows I can. As a result, my balance, mobility and strength continues to improve, I see it in the daily tasks I perform and the confidence I have in myself. Sean has a passion for making a difference in the lives of his clients through lifetime fitness and golf training. He has made a difference in my life. Let Sean and his training program make a difference in yours.
Jeremy Carter: Had my first ever lesson today with Sean at Island Green. It was an awesome experience. Within minutes, he identified my main flaw and had me working drills to correct it. We took our time and I learned a lot about focused practice, which is great bc I, like a lot of others, used to just rush through a bucket trying to fix my flaws. Best thing he taught me was how to work on swing without needing to hit a ball each time, you can tell so much from divot and where you bottom out. It was a great experience and the facility at Island Green was awesome. The new owners are doing a great job on bringing the course back to a great place to play.
Derrick Eckford: Sean's Foundation Program has really helped me learn the fundamentals, how to practice effectively, and what to focus on before and during each shot. Also, the Boditrac equipment he uses is great for helping me see what I need to change to play better shots. Sean is passionate and cares about helping novice golfers like myself improve in all areas.
Eddie Johnson: I met golf coaches Sean and Chad through the women's clinic at Deer Lake Golf Course. Learning golf seemed totally impossible to me but meant a lot to my husband. I went to the clinic and fell in love with the class and the coaches. Through clear instruction and patience I am now playing with friends and of course my husband. Each week my golf skills improve. I look forward to Thursday evening just to see what I can learn and to get practice in with coaches who know the little changes to make to allow me to be a better golfer. Thank you so much Chad and Sean. I hope to encourage more women to get involved in a fun and challenging game called golf!Cindy Johnson
Donnie Huffman: I recently met with Sean for a swing analysis session. Let me tell you it was worth every penny. My lack of flexibility was limiting my golf game. After a week on the prescribed stretching program and swing drills, I shot the best round I've had by 12 strokes. (Includes a 39 on back nine) I am 2 clubs longer with irons. I encourage everyone to meet with him instead of buying a new driver! Thanks Sean!
Brian Orr: So 6 months ago I put down my clubs and decided to hit the gym and try to reverse some of the aging process. My main goals was to get in better shape and be able to play better golf. I play with too many friends whose game has declined with age and start to see them not enjoy playing as much. So I called my friend Sean Saunders at SWS Golf Academy and we set up a plan to start training 2-3 days per week. Now that Spring is here I pulled the clubs out of the garage and started playing again, I had to shake off the rust but after a couple of rounds I am seeing the differences. After just 6 months of training in the gym I am seeing a 2 club distance with my irons and carrying the driver between 280-310 yds in the air. Without a doubt I am hitting the ball as far now as I have the 37 years I have been playing golf. The best part is I am swinging easier and hitting it further which is giving me better control of the ball. Next we will move from the gym to the golf course for lessons and see what improvements can come next. Some may think a private trainer is too expensive but I see know that I was wasting money before by not having one. Call Sean up and see what he can do for you.
Clear Creek: 13 year old son and I went to get evaluated. it was great. we found the a reason we need to work on.for golf and to stay fit for life. treadmill and a weights do not keep you flexible.thanks for all your help.TPI site is awesome
Justin Block: Highly recommended! I just finished a foundation program with Sean this summer and the results were great. I have played golf for awhile but the scores never seemed to drop. After a TPI evaluation Sean was able to show me weaknesses in my body and swing, from there he was able to break the swing down into sections I could understand and practice on. Sean is very positive and patient. Give him a try and you will not be disappointed.

Horton Smith Golf Course: what do users think?
Chris Brewer: Great public course. Maintenance crew doing a great job. Fix an extra ball mark when you're on the greens and make the putting surfaces better for everyone.
James Dean Shetler: paid for 18, left after it took us 2.5 hours to get though 9. Extremely crowded, and filled with groups of senior players who think they are way to good to let anyone younger play through. Not a bad place for beginners, but avoid this place if you are serious about golf and don’t want to get chewed out by grumpy old men when you ask to play through.
Derek Lyons: Good course for the money, staff always seem to be nice and attentive. Course was fairly brown due to the dry weather we’ve been having but the greens and fairways were surprisingly decent. I like the hotdog condiments and they have a good snack selection. Thanks for a great round.
Nala Swiney: Seemed nice, but the guy answering phones, Mike is just rude and unprofessional geez like I just had a few questions and he hung up on me.
Lynn Robbins: In great shape for this time of year.
adam dolezal: Great little course with challenging greens. Course was in wonderful shape in August. Staff was very helpful, Mike knows his stuff and was easy to chat with and ask questions about the course.
Hayden Nelson: Went +7 today, can’t complain. Golf course looks great and works for me.
John Wesley: Nice course..Great staff
Brad Bledsoe: Horton is a good municipal course that is maintained very well. Not too complex and easy to walk or ride so you can work on your game and enjoy an inexpensive golf outing.
Douglas Vernier: Super Place. Nice shop and very knowledgeable , clean up young msn.well spoken young man.
Amy Conner: I've golfed here 2-3 times. Always have a good time.
Seth Ashley: The price it way too much. The golf carts gps is half of the time off. The staff is rude and unhelpful. The course is mediocre.
Ronald Miller Jr: Golf Course is nice and well maintained. Enjoy playing there.
Barry Smith: Nice layout greens just aireated terrible to put on.
Joshua Bailey: Nice affordable and absolutely 100 percent FUN!
Dale: Nice staff. Fair price. Simple lay out, GPS on cart.
Scott Crowder: Always awesome
Patrick Planer: Slow play
Tom Rhoten: Great short course, in good condition!
Brian Newton: Great course. Always a good time.
Ben And Heather Myers: Took me and my two kids and we had a great time they were very helpful with teaching me the ins and outs very reasonable pricing as well

Rivercut Golf Course: what do users think?
Michael Dorigan: Perhaps we should have known the tee times were mismanaged at check-in when informed "all the carts are out on the course." Perhaps we should have known the course's Ranger would be of no help after he attempted to fix our digital course guide by banging the device on all sides with his fist. Instead, we suffered the full failure of Rivercut GC over the next 4 hours, a stretch of time that got us all the way to the tee box at Hole #13, our last hole. After being backed up at each tee box by two groups for most of the day (including at least four twosomes in between foursomes, yet another indication of zero course management), we called a number on the course website and reached "Luke." We told Luke we still had a long ride home and preferred to quit in exchange for a partial refund. Luke told us to come in for a refund. We drove by a parking lot of carts at each tee as we headed in, and a group of six (6!) golfers putting out on #18.We met two startled teenagers in the Pro Shop who had no idea who Luke was. The teens informed that no refund would be offered (though a prorated credit of no value to us as out-of-towners was discussed). We called Luke back and put him on speaker for the decision-making teens. He answered, "Rivercut Golf," startling the teens out of their slack-jawed state. "Luke Who?" they yelled into our speaker. Turns out Luke (if that was his real name) wasn't on the Rivercut facility; he just liked answering calls like that and, apparently, offering refunds. The shame of this fiasco is the course appears to be rather well maintained in a nice layout. So, if you want to overpay for range balls ($8 for 35 balls) and have time for a 6+ hour round hanging out with other golfers on each tee box after #1, then this is the course for you. We will never be back.
Fahd Shakeel: Just an awful experience. They provided us a cart and we loaded up and then they came to get us at the putting green asking if we can give them the cart back because there was a group that needed one in front of us. We waited nearly an hour after our tee time for them to get us another cart. They over book the course and have a terrible system at play. Not to mention their payment system doesn't even work half the time, had to spend an extra 20 min waiting for them to ring us up for food. Expect to spend at least 6 hours when you come out here. We were yelled at by a Marshall as well for slow pace when we had groups in front of us, just some of the worst customer service. An utter joke of a course. Spend your money elsewhere.
kjcroyals: Beautiful little river runs next to 3 holes on the front. Back is surrounded by beautiful houses and has a few signature holes. Had a very relaxing round and got to see a bald eagle fly by a couple times.
IowaDeerSlayer 00: Web page clearly shows driving range is OPEN. I drove 30mins to find a sign saying Driving range CLOSED!OK
Kevin Wood: Fanastic golf course. Need marshalls on course to speed up some very slow players.
Mike Lofaro: It's in pretty good shape for winter months.
Bensavio Yzaguirre: Excellent golf course! Challenging but still fun. Very well maintained and decently priced. Definitely worth the trip
erik bucio: What an amazing course. Their prices are excellent and very pleasant and friendly staff. Definitely a highly recommended course to play.
Patrick Planer: Today was really slow, waited on every hole. Course was in great shape
William Brown: Great golf coarse. Fairways good, rough good and tough greens too read, a good challenge. I say to go try it good price$40 green fee and cart can't beet that.
Lagena Scott: Course is in great shape. Fast greens and love the elevation changes. Very popular public course so be patient.
Amber Lewis: Beautiful course!!! Will be back!!
jason spencer: I flew out to Springfield from Phoenix and had set up a tee time on Monday for a Friday afternoon round. The two gentlemen in the pro shop acted as if they knew nothing about it and told me they could get me out three hours later. I emailed the head pro and wrongfully assumed I could play at the time I was told. The two shop guys were totally unprofessional as the head pro sat in his office and acted as a complete coward and wouldn’t even come and talk to me. There are a ton of awesome golf courses in the Springfield/Branson area. Go anywhere besides Rivercut. These people have zero idea of golf hospitality and professionalism.
J M: Our group was absolutely harassed by the overbearing course marshall during a final round of a two day tournament for playing slowly. This was the lead group of junior golfers and the round was finished in under 4 hours. This man found it necessary to hound our boys for over an hour on the second nine for absolutely no reason at all. This included herding them down the fairways and telling them multiple times to speed up play.Did I mention they finished 30 minutes ahead of the posted pace of play? Or that the the twosome behind us never caught up to our group all day? This was a gentleman with a grey beard and grey hair. In the future I would recommend he not be allowed to interact with the junior golfers. He made Rivercut look terrible today.
mike hoffman: Beautiful course. Affordable. Challenging. Great greens. All good.No tax on goods
Noel Hamilton: Fabulous shape and friendly staff can’t say enough good things about RCG
Jacob Morris: Challenging and fun!
adam dolezal: Great course! Lots of challenges and great looking greens.
John Otrembiak: All good here gr8 golf course. She wasn't greened up yet but it was good to be there.
Trent Merrill: Didn't go golfing but definitely a nice golf course
Kenneth Reavis: Great place
