Horton Smith Golf Course: what do users think?
Chris Brewer: Great public course. Maintenance crew doing a great job. Fix an extra ball mark when you're on the greens and make the putting surfaces better for everyone.
James Dean Shetler: paid for 18, left after it took us 2.5 hours to get though 9. Extremely crowded, and filled with groups of senior players who think they are way to good to let anyone younger play through. Not a bad place for beginners, but avoid this place if you are serious about golf and don’t want to get chewed out by grumpy old men when you ask to play through.
Derek Lyons: Good course for the money, staff always seem to be nice and attentive. Course was fairly brown due to the dry weather we’ve been having but the greens and fairways were surprisingly decent. I like the hotdog condiments and they have a good snack selection. Thanks for a great round.
Nala Swiney: Seemed nice, but the guy answering phones, Mike is just rude and unprofessional geez like I just had a few questions and he hung up on me.
Lynn Robbins: In great shape for this time of year.
adam dolezal: Great little course with challenging greens. Course was in wonderful shape in August. Staff was very helpful, Mike knows his stuff and was easy to chat with and ask questions about the course.
Hayden Nelson: Went +7 today, can’t complain. Golf course looks great and works for me.
John Wesley: Nice course..Great staff
Brad Bledsoe: Horton is a good municipal course that is maintained very well. Not too complex and easy to walk or ride so you can work on your game and enjoy an inexpensive golf outing.
Douglas Vernier: Super Place. Nice shop and very knowledgeable , clean up young msn.well spoken young man.
Amy Conner: I've golfed here 2-3 times. Always have a good time.
Seth Ashley: The price it way too much. The golf carts gps is half of the time off. The staff is rude and unhelpful. The course is mediocre.
Ronald Miller Jr: Golf Course is nice and well maintained. Enjoy playing there.
Barry Smith: Nice layout greens just aireated terrible to put on.
Joshua Bailey: Nice affordable and absolutely 100 percent FUN!
Dale: Nice staff. Fair price. Simple lay out, GPS on cart.
Scott Crowder: Always awesome
Patrick Planer: Slow play
Tom Rhoten: Great short course, in good condition!
Brian Newton: Great course. Always a good time.
Ben And Heather Myers: Took me and my two kids and we had a great time they were very helpful with teaching me the ins and outs very reasonable pricing as well

Bill & Payne Stewart Golf Course: what do users think?
Y J: Nice muni course. Greens r usually in good shape and putt fairly smooth. Can be slopy but overall fair. Most of the holes r pretty straight and short, but you do need some placement to avoid overhanging trees. No water except a couple small creeks and bunkers r sparse. Fun easy course.
Brett Peterson: Getting the course in shape for summer. Look forward to going again.
Dave Ferrell: Pro shop says it closes at 7pm. 6:33 I’m pulling on the door wanting to purchase some clubs and shoes. Definitely won’t be back.
james brooks: I am blessed to have played this course through the past nearly 50 years! It's where I very first tried playing golf!
Joey Darlington: Great place to play
logan walker: Good time
Chad Barger: Staff was very polite. The Tee boxes...fairways and greens were very well maintained! And fees are very reasonable!!
Carole Ritter: Beautiful golf course
Ernie Ellermann: boo! Drove here after a day full of driving to hit their driving range, hours said 11 PM. passed other places, get here and they closed at 6:30 PM. Now i’m on opposite side of city from open driving ranges.
Joel Myers: Great service and prices, very welcoming!
Gary Lamb: Just ok. Kinda pricey for what it is.
Bryan Hood: Nice leisurely course to play. The crews do a great job keeping it up to snuff. Have always enjoyed playing here since the 80's.
Chris Andrews: Ok, so maybe you haven’t gotten your PGA card yet!? But you are working up to it! This is the course for you. No frills, cheap (as cheap as golf gets) thrills. You’ll probably do what we all do, play bogey golf until you hit that ONE shot of the day that makes you think “sure, maybe I should keep playing”
seldon essex: Nicely kept. Shot a 40 on the front with a eagle on #2
Ashley Bunselmeyer: I am a beginner and love going to the par 3 at this location. It's cheap to play and the course is well kept!
John Wesley: Good course well worth the money
Jorge Cortes: Perfect for me😁
Kevin Oestreich: Way over booked, poor starter at the front desk. Confusion at the tee box, really slow play. Rude young lady at the snack bar when we made the turn. Over priced for the B.S. today. But what a beautiful day, just perfect.
Tim Carpenter: This is a muni golf course that has some great greens. The staff are always friendly and work hard to accommodate.Because they are a muni course, you don't have to pay sales tax which is almost an 8% savings from other golf retailers.
Tamara Scully: Great staff!
David Stacy: Pretty much every time I have played at this course there has been a problem. Most of the time the problem is golfers complaining groups ahead of them are too slow.. For instance, today there was two groups ahead of our group. The group furthest ahead had four players who were taking too long. Instead of the person working at the golf course going to that group and telling them to speed up, they went to every group and told them they needed to speed up. We pointed out the fact that the group in front of us was getting ready to tee off while we were finishing up on the putting green. I told his man even if we were done here, we would have to stand there and wait for them to tee off because the groups ahead of them are going slow. This golf course does not have anyone checking groups as they come to the first tee to make sure they have the correct tee time. Tee times are set to close together. I feel like they’re trying to squeeze as many people on the golf course as they can creating a bottleneck itself. Second and third cuts are not maintained properly.

Rivercut Golf Course: what do users think?
Michael Dorigan: Perhaps we should have known the tee times were mismanaged at check-in when informed "all the carts are out on the course." Perhaps we should have known the course's Ranger would be of no help after he attempted to fix our digital course guide by banging the device on all sides with his fist. Instead, we suffered the full failure of Rivercut GC over the next 4 hours, a stretch of time that got us all the way to the tee box at Hole #13, our last hole. After being backed up at each tee box by two groups for most of the day (including at least four twosomes in between foursomes, yet another indication of zero course management), we called a number on the course website and reached "Luke." We told Luke we still had a long ride home and preferred to quit in exchange for a partial refund. Luke told us to come in for a refund. We drove by a parking lot of carts at each tee as we headed in, and a group of six (6!) golfers putting out on #18.We met two startled teenagers in the Pro Shop who had no idea who Luke was. The teens informed that no refund would be offered (though a prorated credit of no value to us as out-of-towners was discussed). We called Luke back and put him on speaker for the decision-making teens. He answered, "Rivercut Golf," startling the teens out of their slack-jawed state. "Luke Who?" they yelled into our speaker. Turns out Luke (if that was his real name) wasn't on the Rivercut facility; he just liked answering calls like that and, apparently, offering refunds. The shame of this fiasco is the course appears to be rather well maintained in a nice layout. So, if you want to overpay for range balls ($8 for 35 balls) and have time for a 6+ hour round hanging out with other golfers on each tee box after #1, then this is the course for you. We will never be back.
Fahd Shakeel: Just an awful experience. They provided us a cart and we loaded up and then they came to get us at the putting green asking if we can give them the cart back because there was a group that needed one in front of us. We waited nearly an hour after our tee time for them to get us another cart. They over book the course and have a terrible system at play. Not to mention their payment system doesn't even work half the time, had to spend an extra 20 min waiting for them to ring us up for food. Expect to spend at least 6 hours when you come out here. We were yelled at by a Marshall as well for slow pace when we had groups in front of us, just some of the worst customer service. An utter joke of a course. Spend your money elsewhere.
kjcroyals: Beautiful little river runs next to 3 holes on the front. Back is surrounded by beautiful houses and has a few signature holes. Had a very relaxing round and got to see a bald eagle fly by a couple times.
IowaDeerSlayer 00: Web page clearly shows driving range is OPEN. I drove 30mins to find a sign saying Driving range CLOSED!OK
Kevin Wood: Fanastic golf course. Need marshalls on course to speed up some very slow players.
Mike Lofaro: It's in pretty good shape for winter months.
Bensavio Yzaguirre: Excellent golf course! Challenging but still fun. Very well maintained and decently priced. Definitely worth the trip
erik bucio: What an amazing course. Their prices are excellent and very pleasant and friendly staff. Definitely a highly recommended course to play.
Patrick Planer: Today was really slow, waited on every hole. Course was in great shape
William Brown: Great golf coarse. Fairways good, rough good and tough greens too read, a good challenge. I say to go try it good price$40 green fee and cart can't beet that.
Lagena Scott: Course is in great shape. Fast greens and love the elevation changes. Very popular public course so be patient.
Amber Lewis: Beautiful course!!! Will be back!!
jason spencer: I flew out to Springfield from Phoenix and had set up a tee time on Monday for a Friday afternoon round. The two gentlemen in the pro shop acted as if they knew nothing about it and told me they could get me out three hours later. I emailed the head pro and wrongfully assumed I could play at the time I was told. The two shop guys were totally unprofessional as the head pro sat in his office and acted as a complete coward and wouldn’t even come and talk to me. There are a ton of awesome golf courses in the Springfield/Branson area. Go anywhere besides Rivercut. These people have zero idea of golf hospitality and professionalism.
J M: Our group was absolutely harassed by the overbearing course marshall during a final round of a two day tournament for playing slowly. This was the lead group of junior golfers and the round was finished in under 4 hours. This man found it necessary to hound our boys for over an hour on the second nine for absolutely no reason at all. This included herding them down the fairways and telling them multiple times to speed up play.Did I mention they finished 30 minutes ahead of the posted pace of play? Or that the the twosome behind us never caught up to our group all day? This was a gentleman with a grey beard and grey hair. In the future I would recommend he not be allowed to interact with the junior golfers. He made Rivercut look terrible today.
mike hoffman: Beautiful course. Affordable. Challenging. Great greens. All good.No tax on goods
Noel Hamilton: Fabulous shape and friendly staff can’t say enough good things about RCG
Jacob Morris: Challenging and fun!
adam dolezal: Great course! Lots of challenges and great looking greens.
John Otrembiak: All good here gr8 golf course. She wasn't greened up yet but it was good to be there.
Trent Merrill: Didn't go golfing but definitely a nice golf course
Kenneth Reavis: Great place

Deer Lake Golf Course: what do users think?
Ervin Friend: change week end rates on Monday because it was a holiday i thank it's to much to pay won't be back weekend or holiday
Trey Eckols: Booked a tee time on a Friday afternoon through their website. My receipt showed as the weekday price of $18 per person however when I arrived I was charged the weekend price of $25 per person and was told that there would be no carts allowed on the course. There was no indication or warning if this on the website and I was told to check the Facebook page next time. The cart paths were unfinished and confusing, not to mention fully underwater in some places. The course was in terrible condition, fairways had bare patches and the rough in most areas was completely out of control. The “sand” in the bunkers all over the course were completely gravel, and the greens were some of the worst maintained and slowest I have ever played. For $25 to walk 9 holes, this is by far the worst courses for your money in the area. Save yourself some frustration and play somewhere else.
Tom Kassner: Deer LK is the worst facility that I have played in over 50 yrs of golf. There is nothing positive to sayThe course is brutal to say the least.Carts are dirty.ect.Spend a couple of bucks more & play a decent place.
Ken Stufflebeam: Poorly maintained, poorly staffed. Needlessly cut down many trees last year, I assume to lessen maintenance. Springfield Park Board courses are much better. This used to be a nice course.
jason congdon: Enjoyed the round
Dan Noble: I had a membership at a Great Life golf course, Dear Lake, and couldn’t believe the disrepair of the course. The reason for this poor management! It was unfair, unreasonable, and unprofessional. This lack of service ranged from the dishonesty of onsite management, the low standards, and improper acts of employees, especially the Golf Pro, and maintenance crew, and the poor membership contract to mention a few areas. If considering membership there think twice; I know I would never recommend it to anyone nor will I play it.
Phil Rahn: I play all three of the Springfield area courses and find them challenging. The personnel are super friendly and helpful. I love the Christmas picture! These people have the Christmas spirit all year long with their smiles. Todd, what a handsome young man. Not you, but your son. Ha,Ha
Brad Beach: This was a nice course but has fallen into disrepair. There are other, better options in the area. I hope they turn it around as it can be a fun place to play.
James Robertson: Worked out at the fitness facility for several years pre-2020. The entire building was leaking and covered in black mold and the window panes were literally warped with water damage in the club house. I came by today and it looked like they had at least put a coat of paint on it. I hope they fixed the underlying issue.
Craig Jones: This course is the worst I've ever played. Fairways are like pastures and the greens had trenches running across it, so putting was impossible. Would never recommend this course to anyone.
Josh Wells: Course was in horrible shape. Tee boxes and fairways were indistinguishable from the rough. Greens were terrible and the cart could barely get up hills. Not worth the green fee at all. I won’t be back.
KJunk Gjfcrgjcgrjc: This pace would make a cow pasture more desirable to play. Our car was so noisy, we could hardly talk over it. Many of he fairways looked like they were under construction, very rough play. Clippings from the mower was everywhere. The second cut wasn’t, way too high. The greens did roll well though.Used the restroom and it was okay but the hall didn’t have the light on and could have caused an accident.
Christina Nuttall: Read the fine PRINT! My family joined for $15 amonth after a year our rate was bumped up to $27 a person and we recieved no notification of this! After contacting the company we were told they sent and email which we didn't recieve. Also that they renewed our contract for another year and that in order to cancel your membership you have to fill out a form by February 28th they automatically renew on April 1st and can't be canceled for another year even with the spike in rates. I emailed numerous people in the company and being first time members, I will never join again! I'm use to contracts lasting a hear but after a year I've never seen one that automatically renewed me for another year of paying with out my permission and not being able to canceled:( Bad business!
Randy Bates: Played tournament under very wet conditions...course well maintained
keith coons: If you are a high handicap golfer, you had better bring lots of balls. Course is terrible with extremely high rough next to fairway. If you are off the fairway( number 10 fairway has a strip of rough running down the middle to lose balls in, seriously) you will be trying to find balls in 5-8 inch rough. you will have everyone in your group looking for a ball that misses the fairway by 5-10 yards. TERRIBLE. Guy at clubhouse said they were going to leave it high. I will drop membership if they can`t keep the course fair for weekend golfer. don`t think they have any idea how to maintain a public golf course. Can`t even give a 1 star, but have to to post
seldon essex: 4 stars, only because the grounds are under construction, very difficult to follow the tees. Needs better signs for people that have not played there much this year. Also need to open the hot dog griller. Still love the course. Course is coming on nicely, surprisingly well due to the past week of rain. Played 9 holes today, haven't gotten to play the back 9 since it was closed last week. I do hope they do better with food selection. Waiting to see.
Lee McIntosh: A great place to play golf
Craig Gilliam: Absolutely the worse course I have played in my 40 years of golf. Will never play this course again!
Jake V.: Was trying to check when my subscription was ending, ended up getting placed on hold for 10+minutes for a something that should've taken less than a minute. Dude never took my name or number or any information. ended up hanging up and just calling Great Life, was able to get an answer in less than 5 minutes. Not the first time I've had issues with Deer Lake.
Denise Dunaway: The staff was nice but the course was not. Do not use the bathroom on the course unless you are desperate. The fairway was basically rough in most places because they hadn’t mowed.

Wade Frescoln: Greens were fast, fairways were lush and easy to hit off, and the tee boxes were fabulous. Didn't have real clear visuals of distance from the greens. But the carts were comfy and had water to drink in lots of places.
Eve Summer: Love this place!
Louis Lathan: CLEAN
Brenda H: This course was not in good shape. For being called “The Greens”, there was nothing green about it. All the grass was brown and under watered. Putting green... What’s that? It looked just like the fairway, but worse.Oh they had also just aerated the greens, but never disclosed this to us before paying. No discount for this.Pricing is also pretty steep. Cart fee alone is $25/person. Not worth your time.
Magnus Bock: Man named homer was a great golfing frend of mine. His son BARTHERMOLIU would not stop skating on the course though. Overall the course was fun but needs beta security
David Cross: Best Coffee ☕ in Town
Gerry Perry: Not open
BIG_GAME_ WAYNE: I don't appreciate your business treating your loyal customers that are BLACK (10 years or better LOYAL service) with blatant disrespect. It must be a daily practice cause your doing nothing to better the problem.
Halls Emdown: Cool lil spot
White Brothers Baseball: Molding my game 1 bad drive at a time. Been in close to 15 fistfights here. Undefeated
