Helen: I was very glad that I found this company and we were looking forward to do a lot of business with them as we specialize in installing shower glass. We have done many projects in another state with a different company and never had any trouble with ordering products. However with this company it's been 2 months and we still can't get one shower glass ordered. Very disappointed with the service that we received. Phone calls and emails are NOT answered in a timely matter. Still haven't received a quote back I requested months ago. Very sad and disappointed as I thought this was a great company. Customer service is terrible. We have worked with many companies before but this by far is the most difficult one. I would really appreciate if one of the mangers would contact me.

Been There: Recently we remodeled our master bath shower and chose American Glass for the new doors. Josh was our installer and he truly did a great job and was very personable while explaining everything! Coordination was a key issue as we were changing out the marble walls with another vendor. Our hat's off to both Josh as well as Justin for great work in a timely manner!

Keith Baker: One of the worst experiences I’ve had in the 40 years of being in the glass business. Don’t return phone calls, don’t keep you informed of delays, ships orders incomplete, very unprofessional, always to busy to take a phone call, and never take orders over the phone. I’ll be taking my business elsewhere. I’ve been waiting over 5 months on a simple shower that should’ve been here in a week. I suggest you do the same.

Nathan Gardner: Not terribly impressed. Everyone I spoke with was polite and helpful, however it took nearly two months to get my storefront repaired after someone drove through it. They've also had to come back three times to repair the door. In an age where I can have something manufactured on the other side of the planet and shipped to my doorstep in less than two weeks, it seems that American Glass might be too far behind to sustain...

Ed: Requested a quote for center table glass top, representative came over for measurements and ended up taking it with him, that was the last time I saw it. Never got a phone call or nothing, now the table is missing and it's my fault for not following on it after they reassure me they will get back at you.

Once they created 2 exterior metal doors with with closers and full glass, and another time created a large custom anodized frame with glass for the church nursery. It was an unusual design, and they pulled it off flawlessly.

Jason Klein: I needed to replace a glass shelf that had been damaged while moving furniture. The shelves had an unusal cut, so I couldn't just provide dimensions over the phone. The cabinet had multiple shelves, so I took an original shelf to American Glass. Several days later, I picked up the original shelf and the replacement shelf that they had cut. The shelves were very well wrapped and ready for pickup when I arrived.When I unpacked the glass shelves at home, it was almost impossible to tell which piece was the original and which was the replacement. Very impressed and very pleased! Price and turn around time were excellent for this type of custom work.I highly recommend American Glass to anyone who needs custom cutting!

I tried the door manufactures and the local hardware stores looking for help. Someone recommended this company and within five minutes, I had the answers I needed and they even had the part (I’d already had it shipped to me from somewhere else). You would think a company doing large commercial jobs for 40 years would scoff at my small project but I not only was surprised but grateful. All I had to do was supply a few mirrors and they made the cuts the same day. This tells me a lot about this company and it's all good. At 80 plus, I'm hard to impress.

There was some confusion because I was told originally that shipments come on Thursdays, and my glass was ordered on Monday. I was not told that it wouldn't come until the following Thursday.We were able to work it out to get my glass installed ASAP though and they did great with that. I almost gave 4 stars due to the original lack of communication, but it honestly seems like just a misunderstanding. I gave 5 stars because they really put a rush once they realized that our closing date would have to be pushed back.

Andrea Hughes: We came to Binswanger almost at closing time and they had my glass cut and ready for my curio cabinet the next day. They were the most reasonably priced glass store in Springfield and the other surrounding area glass stores and I called all of them for a price comparison. They were a third of the price of the other glass stores. They were very helpful, accommodating and friendly. We brought the curio cabinet with us in the back of our truck and it was 6 foot tall. They even came out to our truck and measured the opening where we needed the glass replaced. When we picked up the glass they also carried it out to our truck and loaded it for us. I will never go anywhere but Binswanger for any kind of glass I need to replace or get cut. Thank you very much Binswanger glass!!!

Mollie Hardin: Called on Thursday to get a quote for 2 small sections in our bay window that my dog broke. Repairman showed up the next day to give me a reasonable quote and had it fixed in less than an hour. This is was a huge relief because our baby shower is in a few days. Would highly recommend!

Not only did they fit the new glass perfectly but it required scaffolding in our living room to install it. The whole process was done expertly and professionally AND affordably. We can’t thank Binswanger enough for coming out to our rural home and replacing the foggy pane, painlessly!
