The prices seem a bit higher than you would find at a farmers market but the fridge is open every day I think. The iPad to pay could be a bit more user friendly. I wish there was just a card scanner or a place to hover your phone to pay. Otherwise a great way to get fresh produce.

Keith Owens: Urban Roots is a true treasure of the Queen City. Know your farmer. From CSA shares to dropping in to the farm stand before dinner, it's a great place run by great people.

JB (Burnard): Talked to someone on the phone if they had carrots (they did). I shortly arrived and didn't see a single person at the farm, and was able to pay in cash through a drop box. Just got done cooking with all I got and had one of the best meals in ages (thanks to using fresh local produce). Can't praise Root Urban Farm highly enough but I can settle for 5 out of 5 stars.

We picked up a few items (beef and chicken) to try to see if there was any difference in quality. Let me tell you - there is a HUGE difference in quality. I am not sure what they are adding to the beef and chicken in the stores. We have since been loyal customers and now have a freezer stocked with meat! So happy we found Blue Silo!!

We'll either go to the farm store, which is super cute, btw, or order online and pick up at the farm, which couldn't be easier. For a small, family-run operation and having three young kids, they're on top of their game: they're incredibly professional, communicative, and have one of the easiest websites to navigate and purchase from. And they raise some really tasty meat!I highly recommend getting on their email list so you can hear what's going on on the farm, get recipes, and know what's in stock or on sale at any given time. You won't be disappointed. Promise!

I love everything about it! We will definitely be getting our meat from them in the future. Oh and the sweetest handwritten "thank you" card was included in my order and I was addressed by name. Absolutely excellently packaged, and when we get home, I compared it to some of the beef I have bought at grocery stores. There is no comparison. Blue Silo’s quality Is far superior. We also received a receipt to let us know exactly what had been packed into our order. Another great part of ordering from them is you’re getting this for less than $6 a pound. We will buy our beef from Blue Silo from now on.

Kassi is so nice, and very accommodating. Our hamburger was the 90/10 grade, looks and taste like it's from the farm, no fillers, no water, looks nothing like what you buy in a store and definitely does not taste like store meat. We will be buying alot more from this family farm.

Kevin Blankenship: AMAZING place! This is agriculture and community at its finest! Curtis and Sarah and family are ALL top notch people who love what they do and serving their community. The pizza club is amazing. The food is prepared by hand on site and then cooked in hand made wood fired pizza ovens. The first time I went to the club, I instantly thought of the wedding scene in the series "The Chosen" the atmosphere was one of love, fellowship and community. This farm and family is a little slice of Heaven! Being a Chef myself, I can absolutely appreciate the hard work thats been put in to create that experience. Well done Millsap Family!!
