Toni Hall: I live out of town but met with the owner of AB Estate Sales at my dad’s house in Springfield. I had left my coat and one of the items I wanted to keep (a special VHS to DVD recorder/player). I was told they would be put in a bathroom which is off limits to the shoppers, and I could pick up after the sale. The sale went ok, however after the sale, I returned to the house and those items were nowhere to be found. There was also quite a few miscellaneous items left in the house, and I noticed the shower head in the bathroom was missing. I called the owner. She said they would replace the shower head. She reimbursed me for my coat, but not the VHS/DVD recorder. She was going to see if she could find a replacement. I have tried to follow up for months with phone calls to the owner’s personal cell phone, the business number, and text messaging. I have left many voicemails and text messages; Angela will not return my calls or texts.IN REPLY TO YOUR RESPONSE… I wanted the special VHS/DVD recorder/player to convert old home movies. The only other item that was accidently left in the home was my jacket. I was not in the home several times, as you indicate, and you knew I lived hours away out of town. I called you, and you told me it was not a problem to put those two things in the “off-limit” bathroom where they would be safe, and I could retrieve when I came back to town after the sale. For that reason, I felt it not necessary to make a special trip back until after the sale when I then had to return to finish dealing with the house. When I returned to the house after the sale, I called you about the missing items (in addition to the showerhead that was missing from the bathroom shower). You told me verbally, after the sale, that you would reimburse me for the value of the jacket and VCR; so do not tell me it was part of the contract that I signed. You asked for the value of both which I sent you. You did reimburse me for the jacket but not the other. I think my biggest issue of all is just the fact that you did not have the courtesy to return any of my text messages or phone calls, just trying to follow up. I sent several text messages and called numerous times leaving voicemails for months. There is no excuse for you ignoring my calls and texts. All you had to do was let me know you were not going to honor what you told me you would do.

Ted Faulkner: I bought a Husqvarna Power Washer for $190 at one of their Estate Sales in Springfield Missouri. I was told by one of their employees that they guaranteed it to work. I could not get it started, so I took it to Greg's Mower in Nixa and paid $25 for them to check it out. He told me the motor was no good. They would not stand behind their word and give me my money back.

Thela Fitzgerald: Approximately 3 wks ago they came out to look around our property for a sale. She said she wanted her husband to look at some things before we signed a contract. They came with high recommendations but I am really disappointed they didn't have the courtesy to respond to my text or phone msg. Michael McTeer: I would think twice about hiring the company to take care of your estate. They don’t answer their phone, use poor signage to direct folks to an estate sale and don’t have any internet presence worth mentioning that might take care of some of the previously mentioned shortcomings. Estate sales are serious business if it’s your stuff up for sale, you get what you pay for in life, hire real professionals.

Kameran Thull: Clean and organized. Nice people all items were priced and easy to see. However, this is lme of the highest priced sales I have ever been to. They had full retail prices on obviously used items. I took a trailer hoping to get quite a few items and left spending only 6$. VERY EXPENSIVE. Endtables were $96. A small endtable less than 2ft wide was $90+. Even at 50% off it would have been high.

Steven D Cochran: I find good deals sometimes. Prices start out higher but they are just trying to help out their clients. Same way at auctions. Usually 2nd day is 25% off, 3rd day is 50% off. If you see something you really really like and you have the money, better get it, by 3rd day pickins are slim.

Larry Ball: Wednesday August 8 was my first visit to a C R Estate sale. The staff were very friendly and very professional, one of the nicest "teams" I have met at any Estate Sale around Springfield. All of the items were priced fairly and reasonable. Some of the other Estate sales I have been to seem to price some things way above their actual value (not good for the buyers) and other items may be priced too low for what they are really worth (not fair to the seller.)Paying for my items was quick and easy. They helped load my purchases, shook my hand, and thanked me (sincerely) for coming. I will definitely watch for their signs and web postings for future events, and would recommend them to anyone considering having an Estate Sale - large or small!
