Ed Howard: Because of the "return policy," I will not be returning to this store.
Toad: Before you shop here give them a call and ask about their return policy. Even if you spend hundreds of dollars there, they will not refund you even if it comes out of the box broken. The person I spoke to did not tell me their name or whether or not they were the owner, but he did confirm with me that if something is bought broken it is the customers responsibility even if brought back same day. There are plenty of negative reviews on their Facebook as well that will show you many examples. I understand every store can have their own policies, I just want to make sure all of my friends and families are aware of this one. If you're a big spender and you don't want to be out hundreds of dollars I would consider somewhere else.
Jessica Dodd: Very disappointed in this store. Spent over $500 on models there in the last two weeks, along with an expensive tool ($70). The tool broke during the first time of my husband using it for its intended purpose. He called the store hoping to be able to return it or at the very least get some sort of advice or help and he was told the only help he would be getting was from calling the manufacturer, and the person was even rude and very careless to my husband.The store couldn’t have cared less.This really will make us spend our money at Amazon.Definitely lost a customer who would have spent a lot of money at your store. Congrats.

CrackedJudgement “Cracked”: Always has something interesting, but better not ask any employees questions, first time i was in there i asked about a specific type of 3d printer and if they had plans of stocking them, simple yes or no question but all i got from the employee was a bunch of yets and maybes as in they had no idea what they carried or bother to check the system to see if they ever carry it. More recently i went in and curiously asked if they carried any special pla's or just standard, an employee curtly answered my question but then moments later as i was in line decided to mock me for asking at all. I get making fun of people for what you would perceive as a dumb question, but at least wait till they leave the premises to do so. Very annoying when i averagely spend over $100 when i go in, would shop elsewhere if one opened up nearby, if you are driving or looking for informed individuals, just go somewhere else.
Andrew Honey: I always enjoy going to Hobby Town and checking out their selection of Bandai Models. Staff are very knowledgeable and friendly.

Jody Mercier: Great little express RadioShack. Didnt even know it was there lol. They have a dedicated section for the RadioShack express items...ie resistors, diodes, capacitors etc. The staff there is very helpful and knowledgeable. While I was there I noticed they have quite the inventory of rc cars/trucks and all kinds of supplies for them. Good to know

Michael Stephens: Go anywhere else, Amazon, sleeth hobbies, Midwest hobbies, anywhere. I bought my son a $300 dollar slot car track a couple days before Christmas and after I put it all together it is such poor quality it won't even stay together or work. I call them and they tell me they don't take returns and to contact manufacturer. So I do and they only take returns if you buy directly from them. Absolutely terrible company and after looking at reviews this is a common problem. This place needs to leave Springfield.
Stan B.: I've searched the internet looking for a specific puppet for my grandson. Even went so far as to call stores in other states with no luck. I called HobbyTown and found what I was looking for right here in my hometown!! It was larger than expected, and a little pricy, but extremely cool. The only downside is that they only accept returns with in-store credit. Hope my grandson likes it!!

The owner Tim spent more time making asking sure we got what was best for our son and for him to possibly start as a hobby then just trying to make a sale. He showed a true passion and appreciation for the value of someone's work and directed us to the best fit dor us not the most expensive. He earned an immediate sale and not just a "we'll talk about it." He has earned a repeat customer for sure. His team he has surrounding him were very helpful and knowledgeable as well.

They develop film in less than 2 hours and so I always go here for that! They also always answer my many random questions for all things camera/video at any time! I recommend here 1000%

When I moved to Springfield, MO in 2019, I was more than a little surprised to find not only a bricks and mortar camera store.I have worked closely with their staff this year, especially store manager Rick Orrell, on a number of purchases and they have always been patient and accommodating.Special orders? No problem, they will have it for you in days. Turns out not to be what you need? Again, no problem, let’s try again. Price match the “big boys”? Never hurts to ask (but don’t forget you’re paying for expert knowledge, building a relationship and supporting your local economy.)Want to hang out and talk photography? It’s an ongoing conversation with a staff that is talented and creative.The store has a local reputation for getting people started as hobbyists and watching them grow into serious amateurs and/or professionals. I recently mentioned Bedford’s to the national rep for one of the three big camera makers and he immediately began praising the store.I have no idea how many times I have recommended this store in the last three and a half years but it’s a lot and I hope to be able to continue to do so for many years. Finally someone asked if I needed help and told me they had a comparable tv in the back. He went to get it and I waited thirty minutes before leaving. I have an injury and am in a walking boot and I couldn't stand any longer physically and was no offered any place to sit. Went to Walmart and was in and out in thirty minutes. Best Buy your customer service sucks, and I am definitely not a Karen. I gave you an hour to get me a tv in a box. You probably could have sold me a more expensive product if you had been more attentive. Not shopping here again.

Bonesmacker: FANTASTIC customer service. I walked in and was greeted. They asked me what I was looking for and if I needed help. I told them I needed a wireless Xbox headset. He told me where they were located and that someone would be over to help me shortly (even though I didn't ask). By the time I got there, a nice young man asked me what I was looking for, I showed him the photo, and he led me straight to it. Not only that he confirmed it was the correct one and asked if he could help me find anything else! I expect this customer service for someone elderly, but I am only 38. It was truly a great experience, and he saved me some time searching for it.GREAT employees. It was a very refreshing experience.

Rain Bennett: The one entrance is poorly placed causing lots of congestion and you can expect to have to walk a good ways when parking. The store is hot and cluttered. I always check in stock items before going in and the items I'm looking for always end up being sold out when I go in; always seem to be out of things when I do curbside pick up as well. I usually prefer shopping at target, but not in Springfield.
Alyssa Bigham: I used to like Target but there’s lots of issues there. I worked here for a little bit and it was the worst job I’ve ever had. Targets clothes are now super ugly and Walmart has better ones.

Angela Gries: We just found this store today and the owner is the nicest most knowledgeable person you will ever meet.. we did not feel any pressure to buy anything but ended up getting a small rock crawler.. their prices are competitive and it soooo nice to have a store to go see the merchandise and talk to someone who knows what they are talking about instead of looking at a website and trying to figure out what you need. We will be going back in the future..
MixinThe Bisquic: Brought my stampede in for repair ended up learning I could get upgrades installed! Got almost a total rebuild minus the engine and a few other parts, great job on their service if you need repairs or upgrades installed, these guys do it and they do it well, I advise anyone to make them your first choice always in repairs and upgrade installation, they got good stock too on Traxxas and even Abit of arma, can't go wrong, also super friendly and understanding staff.

KyLee Anette: Had a pretty disappointing experience during my recent visit to Bass Pro Shop here in Springfield, MO. The visit started out pretty good, I went with my family looking for some camping gear. We then stopped at the Riffle Coffee shop for some coffee. The cashier there asked what I wanted and I ordered, things seemed fine at that point in time. I then sat and waited for what seemed like 15 minutes for my drink. Everyone else got their drinks, even people behind me in line received their drinks before I did. I ordered a simple Iced Vanilla Latte. Finally they called my drink out and the taste of the coffee was really horrible. It didn’t taste anything like a latte, more like a cold brew with zero sweetener. I went back to the counter and the cashier who had taken my order earlier was still there. So I asked if it would be possible if they could remake my drink since I spent $6 on it and the young lady didn’t even look up at me and said I could add some sugar, almost as if she was gritting her teeth through the sentence. The ladies in the back didn’t even offer to remake it or even bother to step in. I was pretty upset that I was treated that way. Not sure why the simplest of things are such an inconvenience for some people, but they don’t have to worry about me returning to their coffee shop. I’m a young adult who has literally worked at a coffee shop myself and I never mistreated customers like that. Hopefully Bass Pro Shop can, in the future, train their employees to treat their customers better. Pretty sure the saying is “ The Customer Is Always Right. “
