It was a very positive experience and we went from there to take private dance lessons off and on all year. Clarissa Barron: We got to the studio at 8 and she was finishing the end of a lesson so we waited outside. I text her and she said to come in. We introduced ourselves, our song, and got started. It was a great experience! That was, until the end. When we finished up and talked about more lessons, somewhere in there she mentioned that the groupon we received was for only HALF an hour and that we had to pay her the other half. I didn't think this was fair because it is not mentioned anywhere in the fine print. I went to grab my wallet and looked at my phone and realized it hadn't even been an hour either. It was 8:59 when I went to go grab my wallet and by then the lesson was well over and done. Be warned that she will not tell you about this and she will wait until its over and then demand that you pay her.

Kenneth Moore: You have heard the term “two left feet”? I wished I was that good, so I contacted this studio. I am so glad I did! The instructors are so nice, and made me feel comfortable and extremely non-embarrassed! They take thier time and show you the correct way to do things. They have an EXTREME amount of patience, taking somebody like me that was shy and embarrassed to even go to a place with a dance floor to being out there ON the dance floor!!! kenna davis: We have taken dance lessons in the past from Kelly Frey to prepare for some of our kids' weddings and have had a blast! But at the beginning of this year we started taking just because we want to learn and get better. Kelly is an amazing teacher, is so patient, yet really helps us refine our dancing so we hopefully will look good on the dance floor. We are in our late 50's/early 60's and really think this is a wonderful activity to keep our bodies healthy as well as our minds sharp as we age. I have always wanted to take a dancing class and we've never found the time so we contacted Dance with Me at the Savoy Ballroom. This place is great and here are a few reasons why:1) This place worked with us to find a time to fit our very limited travel schedule as we passed through Springfield.2) Andy was our instructor. He was patient, and thorough, and I felt like we left our session really getting down the basics he tried to teach us. (We worked on east coast swing.)3) Andy covered several different minor things as we went through the lesson that I know we would have figured out had we been just watching a video. And those little things make all the difference. Lessons are the way to go!4) The Savoy Ballroom is in downtown Springfield and it is a neat venue! We really enjoyed seeing their venue and having class in it.5) Dancing doesn't come easy for my husband, and I'm not too great at it and pretty self-conscious. Andy kept the mood very lighthearted, and the ballroom has curtains all around so there are no street watchers.In short, if you'd like to try some private lessons out, I would highly recommend it

Beginner, intermediate, or advanced you won't be dissapointed doing a private lesson or attending a group lesson!

Our instructor, Obie, did an amazing job editing our song, choreographing our first dance, breaking it down so we could learn each step and helping us get in sync. Jasmine Shanz: I love Martha’s! I always feel safe every time I go here, and the drinks are good! The only complaints is that last night when I went, the music was horrible. Half of the songs were stuff that me and my friends have never heard, and the transitions from one song to another was not good at all. The other complaint was that whenever I paid for my entry, I walked past the security not knowing Martha’s now scans as I haven’t been to this establishment in over a year and that is something very new, plus I did not see a scanner in sight. I only walked a few steps past the security guard and stopped a few feet away from him as I was waiting for my friends to pay and he shouted in the loudest, most rudest voice “hey” and pretty much drew unnecessary attention to the situation. I understand that it’s his job and that we are scanned for safety measures, but it was an honest mistake plus I was close enough to where he literally could have said “hey miss” in a normal tone rather than yelling at me like I’m a criminal and causing a scene. This honestly ruined my mood for the entire night as it was super embarrassing and now I’m kind of iffy on if I will return for a while. Other than the rude security and the music though, it was an okay time, and every other time I’ve been here had been amazing!

Would be better if we could have enjoyed the entertainment. Left in 45 minutes.
