Teacher Tami: I had never had my home ducts cleaned. I am trying to extend the life of my 20 year old heating and cooling systems. The scheduler was beyond rude and curt on the phone. My appointment was set for 2.5 months from the time of my call. I did get on the cancellation wait-list. Fortunately I did get called by the same scheduler who left a snippy v-mail about "needing to talk to a human" to get the appointment. On day of appointment, my young service person was very helpful in answering questions and friendly with my dog situation. I was able to go about my morning while he went about his work. At some point (as pre-discussed) I had to leave to go to work. I left a check with my service guy and told him how to lock up. Well he left the check behind and several pieces of small parts around my property. The snippy lady sent me an email asking "how would I like to take care of payment" her amount being an additional $50 from what he had told me and my check had been written for. I emailed her back and said the check could be picked up from my home in the amount I wrote it for already. Someone came by within the hour.With all that said, my house does smell better. chadandkourtney: We have had a great experience with Smitty's. We purchased a wood stove a couple months ago, with lots of help from everyone here helping us weigh all of our options. And then once we got it, we have called in with a few random questions which they are always incredibly helpful with. We are so happy with the entire process and highly recommend Smitty's! Our new stove is awesome too.

They pulled all the fake logs out and reassembled them nicely and made sure the gas setup still worked after they were done and even went over how to use it with them. Asked for an estimate to replace chimney chase cover and crown and was NOT told at the time of scheduling the appointment, that they charge 100.- to drive out and give you the estimate! $50.- would be credited when they come out to do the work.Their reasoning was - they have to drive outside of SGF. On top of that, I had to call multiple times and finally after about 3 weeks I received my absolutely ridiculous estimate of $1002.- to replace the chase cover and the crown.This company is an absolute rip off and I would NEVER recommend them or use them again!

If you advertise that you service a certain area, then You should service it when someone calls, not when it is convenient for you.
Dave Price: Great customer service. I went in to buy a pellet stove and instead of trying to sell me something fancy, I was given a demo on a good stove that is easy to take care of and a work horse to heat my shop. Highly recommend you at least take a look here before buying elsewhere.

Steve Michaud: I hate to give poor reviews, I really do. But....here is my experience with Aarons Fireplace Co. I need a blower installed in my fireplace, so I went on their website and submitted a request for service. I waited a week, did not hear anything, so I called them. A young lady took my call, and noted the information such as serial number of the fireplace and manufacturer, and said she would check and get back to me. I waited another week and called back, speaking to the same woman. She said she would talk to the technician again about it and then get back with me. That was two weeks ago. Needless to say, I will now go elsewhere. That was my experience, I hope yours is better.

David: Very poor customer service. Would not recommend.I had Aaron's out to clean and diagnose a starter problem withy fireplace. After determining which part needed replacement, the tech told me he would order it and contact me for an install date. That was end of November, and I had not received any contact from the company for several weeks after. I contacted them and the lady who answered the phone that she would check on it and call me back. She did not call me back and I had to call again to inquire about the part. By that point, it was end of December and she told me when I called that she just "noticed" the part in a box on her desk. She then offered to schedule an install time. When I asked about the poor customer service and what the company could do to retain a customer, I was told they would do nothing. They would schedule me an install date but no extra consideration would be given. I was not looking for a handout, but for some consideration for the company's multiple mistakes and the extraordinary delay, especially considering it literally is perfect fireplace weather. She refused to work with me and was rude and condescending. She told me she was the owner after I asked to speak with the owner, but was hesitant to give me more information.Doing business with this company has been one of the worst customer service experiences that I've ever had. I will be sure to steer any friends/family away.
