Catholic Charities of Southern Missouri: what do users think?
Kashawna Laney: This is a worthless place they don't care they only care if your pregnant or have a child. So basically if you don't have either then you are not worth them even thinking about helping you.
Mandie DePriest: Working with Dawn gives you hope and a peace of mind. The length of time being on the waiting list is poor especially with people in emergency situations. Too bad they didn't put more funding toward organizations like this. You know the organizations that are actually making a positive impact in people's lives and in the world as well.
Nicole Spriggs: I think charity’s like this mistake is waiting until people have nothing to offer them help. I went to them for help because 2022 was devastating for our family. On top of having a 1 year old, we made several trips to my home state for funerals this year. And I’m not talking about distant relatives. My husband lost his brother last year. We struggled with our health, with depression, and specifically with bills. I tried to be kind but after thinking on it after they told me that my husband makes too much money for them to help it started to dawn on me just how messed up that is. Do charities really only want to help people once they have officially lost everything? Will they help in a few months when we’re homeless? People don’t have to make pennies to need help and support but I’m starting to believe there’s an underlying agenda here. Who knows what that is. No thank you guys for not helping us. You have no idea why we’re struggling. Maybe you should consider that when people come to you. This was a last resort because I just wanted a chance for our family to get back on our feet. Too bad you have to make $100 a month to get assistance. Makes no sense to me.
Mandy Garmon: Thank you for all that you for our community!!
MARION SIMMONS (ALYY): Blessed be
Renee Washburn: Great place for a pregnant mom to get away from abuse from baby dad and they help u get on ur feet you can stay the whole yr after baby is born but some leave early staff is very friendly and everyone treats you like family my favorite staff was Nicole she was always so nice to everyone it didn't matter if she was having a bad day or not
Mark Bowker: No help whatsoever, I'm embarrassed to say I am Catholic! Disabled Homeless and couldn't get Any Help. The "lady",not,at the door rushed me away and shut the door!
Juan Martinez: Not for veterans needing assistance
Amanda Baley: Lived here for almost 2 years and gained the greatest most supportive family you can have. Love this place the people and there hearts. Always do the most they can!!
Ocean Wiles: The lady who answered the phone was VERY rude!! And her attitude sucked!!!
Edna Jewell: They are very helpful. Only wish they were able to help more in other countries. Very polite staff.
Aaron ashworth: Great place friendly people will do all they can to help you and you're family
tena mcleod: Want to thank you to Doug and all of the staff, your generosity has been a much needed blessing, thank you Doug for the advice and information! I hope I have the ability to pay it forward someday!
Rebecca Haines: They help out the community alot
Cynthia Grady: Not helpful
Katrina Ann Jeror: A very Loving, caring and supportive group of people! The Life house program is one of a kind and is perfect for any pregnant female looking for a better life for herself and baby! 100% recommended!!!
Jeff White: Fantastic people helping others in time of need!
Rhonda Rhoads: They are amazing and supportive and kind people who dedicate their lives to helping others in need. They have saved me in many ways.
L Ward: Lots of volunteer opportunities. Doing wonders for people in southwest Missouri.
Jessica Dixon: All the people who work there are realy friendly and careing they truly help and care I cant even exsplane how much they have helped me.Im am vary thankful to have got help from them. I was blessed to get help from them. They have done so much for me and helped me thru a tuff time in my life THANK YOU !

Help Give Hope: what do users think?
Ron Taylor: Didn't have much for their semi annual garage sale. Mostly clothes
Scott Allen: It's the win win when you can find great deals while supporting a wonderful organization.
Sherri Cheak: The lady who answers the phone and I think runs this organization is very rude and condescending. My husband is a veteran who already doesn’t like asking for help. She was horrible to him. Her behavior is not okay even if she helps people in need, she makes them feel beneath her. Not good.
Ralphie Saeed: Attended the garage sale. Venue was hotter then expected, selection was decent, should have gone earlier.
Robert Dale Horton: Great place*
Patric Milligan: Honest effort for a great cause. Good yard sale.
cathy williams: I was so amazed how large this place was. It was my first time there. Very reasonable prices huge selection of anything that you need. I will definitely be going back to see what other bargain's I can find.
dannette libbee: Always enjoy their sales. Knowing my purchases go towards helping others in the community is a plus!
Cass Lewis: Applied many times.Got a call from them a few weeks ago asking how much I would need. They said they would send a check that day but they never did. When I called today to check on an issue (got a final late notice from landlord and no payment received by HgH), at first she said they didn't have an application for me, then when she found it, she rudely said she never told me she would help me and didn't have the funds when in fact she did tell me she would help me just a few weeks ago. Don't waste your time. This place would have a lower rating than 3.3 if people could give 0 stars instead of a minimum of 1 star. They don't help and they don't give hope.
Maryam Jahanshahi: The name does march this charity. I called them the lady hung up the phone, when I explained the sutuation and she didnt answer the phone anymore. She was very rude. Dream center asked me to call them. Government should shut it down.
Joseph Frederick: My wife just got off the phone with a woman there, my mother just passed away before Christmas, and we were reaching out to them for any help as my wife, 8 yr old son and i are trying to get funds to get from Missouri to Ohio and back, but before we could explain our situation thoroughly, she was rude, had no empathy. She sure did not give any hope.
Christina Baum: Applied for a gas voucher so I could get my autistic twins to their Dr appointments and therapy filled out the form was told someone would contact me but never heard from anyone needless to say I had to cancel all their appointments. Couldn't seem to really help when someone needs it the most
Ashley Crowder: Not a great experience. Out of all of my encounters with this organization, I have had not even one positive experience to review. They don't call you back after you apply, you have to wait and wait and finally just call them yourself. And when you do call, miss Murray is VERY rude and demeaning. She talks to you like you are beneath her and will make you feel incredibly down about your situation. I will NEVER apply for their assistance in the future. No matter how bad it's needed. I do not recommend them to ANYONE. If I could leave this review WITHOUT leaving any stars - I would. 0/5, definitely would not recommend. And they'll call you if you leave a bad review.
Jason “Scooter” Roush: Awesome stuff at awesome prices. Products and items in excellent shape and clean.
Ashley Melton: I I have never been spoken to so rudely in my life! I called this organization to ask about utility assistance. The lady that answered the phone told me there was no utility assistance today but they might do some tomorrow I explained to her that my utilities were going to be shut off tomorrow and asked if she knew any other place that might help with utilities. The the place she suggested I try was closed and I knew this because I had already called them so I explained that to her and quite hatefully she said well I don't know what to tell you because I'm not doing nothing today call them and I said okay thank you I already have but thank you to which she immediately started screaming at me not to ever speak to her like that again and I said ma'am I didn't speak to you like anything at all! All I said was they're closed. She continued screaming at me until I just hung the phone up. Help give hope is not a proper name for this organization, take your hope maybe. I think the best thing they could do would be close their doors because they don't do anything other than bring you down. Maybe they help some people but all the help in the world is not worth having to listen to that ladies shrew voice screaming at me she either needs some training in customer service or dealing with a public I don't know but I definitely would not want that lady representing my company or my charitable organization because she's anything but charitable don't waste your time with this place. If it were possible to leave no stars, that is the rating I would give them... ZERO STARS!!!
Sherri Randall: Horrible and very rude! Wanted to argue with me every step of the way. Completely unprofessional and a waste of time
Leasa White: Reasonable prices
Nick Weinkauf: Wow. Nice place. Wish i knew about it sooner. Wide selection of various home related items. We bought a desk for my sister and the helped liad it and strap it down. Nice people, generous, helpful.
james s: One of the larger "donation groups" in Springfield. Collects high quality material all year and has a HUGE "Christmas garage sale" very good reputation as to disbursement of proceeds.
Albert Croff: Called them to get help with furniture we are an elderly couple and because we dont have children my wife is in a wheelchair they could not help us
SnowKatrina: We need help with our utilities bill, I am trying for disability and husband has pancreatitis and back problems but the pancreatitis is what's causing him to lose hours at work, so we are behind a little called them and they didn't ask us about anything but kids. What about the families struggling with health issues. It was quite rude in my opinion.

Ronald McDonald House Charities of the Ozarks: what do users think?
Hughes B-Correct: Great people here for sure.
Greyson Botts: This place really is AMAZING! TONS of free food and snacks. HUGE covered porch in the back with a grill. A playground for kids. Many rooms that can be used for family to spend time together. The building is gorgeous. The staff were so friendly, I get the feeling they really do want to make your stay as comfortable as possible. Very peaceful and quiet. MUCH nicer accommodations than I would be able to afford and it's FREE?!?!?! JUST WOW. I really can't say enough about it.
Christina Cordova: Staff was super friendly knowledgeable. The room was clean. Thank you so much
Eric Downey: Awesome place. The volunteer staff was awesome. Thank you all
Ruth Gerdes: Everyone is really friendly and helpful
Sarah Dameron: My son and I recently visited to try and make someones day. The house is so warm with the Christmas lights, you can definitely feel the love. The staff were extremely friendly and the charity itself it such a blessing for the families who are affected by a childs illness.
David Collignon: Great place for parents to stay while caring for a sick child. Very nurturing community of parents and volunteers.
Angel Russell: Love this place with such. A great place to stay when my son was in the hospital. They make everybody feel like home there. When I say that, I feel like home.
Beatriz Santos: Me and my family received much love at this house. The house and everyone there are such a blessing for us. Thank you!

Brittany Cronin: Very friendly staff and super helpful nice homey place to stay
dj campbell: It helps parents that can't afford to stay in a motel and or go back and forth from the hospital to home everyday
Stacey Deragowski: Can never say enough thanks for this place! When my Grandson was born and needed to stay in the NICU his Mother usually stayed with him but on occasion would go across the street for a hot shower, good nights sleep-if that was possible, and some home cooked food. It was good for her to know she wasn't alone. She was treated as family there. My Grandson is turning 2 in 3 days! So all is well. Thank you!
Cheryl Douglas: I have the privilege of volunteering with my client because I am a Direct Support Worker. My client's favorite chores are vacuuming, dusting/polishing the furniture, and disinfecting the playroom dishes and toys. We have cleaned the rooms, cleaned out the fridge, cleaned the family room in the basement, swept, swiffered, and cleaned the dining room table and chairs. When the weather is warm we sweep the front porch and pick off the deadheads on the hanging flower pots. We enjoy being a part of such a wonderful bunch of volunteers and consider the office staff our friends.
Rowena Culp: Nice place
Christina Baum: The staff was very nice the room was clean and comfortable
Elizabeth Smith: A great place to stay.
Tiffany West: Absolutely no words can express my feelings. And how thankful I am for these people and their help. I want to give back so badly! God blessed these people and volunteers.
Chris Bruck: Often forgot about but a great place with a great cause.
Terri Carr: They help a lot of families with sick children. A nice place to stay.
J.b. B: Amazing place!
