Springfield National Cemetery: what do users think?
Jason R Swearingin: Historic and beautiful and well kept.
Julie Bailey: It's a nice Cemetery. They keep the grounds very nice. They have men all the way from the Civil war on up to now.
WALTER FREDERICK PARKHURST JR: I have always enjoyed visiting my Daddy’s grave as a little boy and even more now that I am in my 70s. I live out of state now and don’t get to visit as often as I would like to but today I noticed that there was a large chip out of his grave stone that has been there for some time now. His stone was obviously hit by a mower, WHY IF YOU HIT A VETERAN’S GRAVE STONE THAT HARD THAN REPLACE IT. My Daddy is MY NUMBER ONE HERO, he died when I was eighteen months old, and life was very rough growing up. Please replace his marker. His name is Walter Frederick Parkhurst. Thank you Walter Frederick Parkhurst Jr.
Bibin Mathew: Lives of great heroism, courage and honor rest here.
Angel Sauls: Extremely pleasant service.
James Schad: Has all the Christmas wreaths from wreaths across America for veterans graves locked up in a warehouse and refuse to put them out.
Ginny Blackmon: amazingThis is actually a response to skeptic. I know first hand that the people who bury loved ones here is A not doing community serviceB He takes his job seriously, and has nothing but the utmost respect for our fallen Hero s And as i said I know this first hand because I am married to Him. And second even if there are community service workers there, what does that matter? Have you never in life made a mistake? If you have not then be my guest judge away, but remember judge not lest you be judged. My husband does an amazing job and has more respect and love for the hero s he helps to their final resting place. I Have been out there picking up sticks off the graves for him because he has that much respect. He goes above and beyond what is required, because they deserve the best
Kirk McC: Beautiful in the Autumn.
Robert Kaiser: One of the nicest Cemetery's I've been in, manicured to the t , very nice, EASY to find
Mine Recommendation: I love visiting cemeteries. I really enjoyed this one. It has an area for military and civilians alike. Do yourself a favor and enjoy this one.
J S: Beautiful and peaceful
BRITTANY WEBER: Drive by here on the way to work today. It is Memorial Day! Flags are supposed to be at half mass to remember the fallen. Not full. For a military cemetery, as it claims on google. The people doing the flags should be more aware.
Dave Ryan: History
Ayres Ryder: This is a very nice cemetary to walk around in. It has a great feel to it and is always well groomed.
Skeptic Eevee: Unfortunately I have to give people the honest truth. To those who are thinking about having their loved one buried here...don'tThe people whom bury your loved one are there for community service. correct the ones burying your loved one do not care about properly doing anything and then lie about the hours those people have serviced at the facility as well. Bury your loved one at a place that respects the dead, the ceremonies, etc. This is not the same as hazelwood cemetery which is a better and yet slightly attached to this unfortunately ran mess. Avoid this place at all costs including those doing community service
Perry Elkins: Memorial day ceremonies are well done - but grounds are open to the public most days - can go pay your respects anytime.
Jeremy Nease: back in 01 the cemetery of national/ hazelwood/temple of isreal had a bad vandalism in the cemetery red paint covered the memorial wall memorial to confederate soldiers, stole several headstone's in hazelwood,an temple of isreal had every grave smashed since the va stepped in it been very well mantiand stop the hate why vandalize a grave of a person u don't even know why
Joe Osborn: Lewden McCullough Enslen--WWII

Hazelwood Cemetery: what do users think?
Debbie Armstrong: My grandmother my Uncle my mother my dad my oldest brother and many more friends and family have been taken care of and are laid to rest at Hazelwood cemetery it is a wonderful place with a wonderful staff that will give you comfort and you'll feel good about your loved ones being laid to rest there.
Simon Pippin: Haunted.
Tori Mathis: Hazelwood is a National cemetery created as resting place for both Union and Confederate Soilders. Their's a cemetery for civil war Jewish Soilders on the western side of Hazelwood. I don't know when it got the name Hazelwood because most people call it the battlefield cemetery after the Civil war battlefield just west of town.
Wolf Sorenson: Hazelwood cemetery is large and impressive. However when me and my girlfriend went there to take some afternoon photography, we were followed around by a public works truck who sort of ruined our experience. Peace was Disturbed! We were simply minding our business in a public place. There are some really good old family Springfield plots. Including two very Grand mausoleums. I have taken several hundred photographs and made several videos. If you would like to see them check me out. Edward Thilenius at Facebook, or visit CLEEVERIMAGES on Instagram.
Jordan Shepard: Since no one else has said it yet - people are just DYING to get in here!
Melville Peterson: Beautiful place. I come here often, I don't know anyone personally buried here but I pay respects anyway. I bring my tuba and play tunes to honor the fallen homo sapiens. If I can just touch one soul beyond the grave I've done my job.
K J: 3 Houses many fine souls here. It's gorgeous, always has been.
J S: Very nice place to take a stroll
Dustin Johnson: Resting place of Lester E. Cox.
april roberts: Great place to walk or run
Joe Osborn: Resting place of place of Sanford Perry and Helen Ruth Enslen. My maternal grandparents.
Mark Huddleson: Beautiful resting place. Ray and Nina I hope you enjoy your being reunited again may you both rest in peace together.

White Chapel Memorial Gardens: what do users think?
Marilyn Williams: Have you been to Eastlawn cemetery lately?..... I understand you own that also. Obviously you have not as you can see by the pictures of where I have 8 family members buried. I have spoken with Ben, was promised he would get a crew on it from White Chapel....in his defense he has done a small amount of clean up..... well these pictures say it all from when I was there today. This is total disrespect for every person that has been buried there!!! I don't like my family members being disrespected!! and I'm sure other families won't either!
noevirpacesetters: I have been speaking with Taylor CaldwellShe has been extremely helpful, very informative and very easy to work withI now know more about funeral planning than I thought there was to knowLinda Dunlap
Brea Carroll: Taylor was so helpful and sincere in helping me gather information for my parents.
Rick Wilson: The legend, Robert D Wilson, the greatest man to walk this earth now rest here.… Rest in peace, father.
Phyllis Bumgarner: I had great service with Taylor. She answered all questions was friendly and helpful. I would highly recommend her to anyone. She found old records that matched what I had. Made the whole process easy. I have always thought this cemetery was maintained well. My parents are here, many other relatives and my plots are here as well as my brothers.
All About Paint: I posted my complaint on their Facebook page and they just removed it without getting back to me. So I'll put it here.We went out to have a small graveside service for my uncle and Greenlawn had sent the flowers over earlier in the day with instructions to have them at the grave before 6pm. They weren't there. They were still in their building. My family has many, many plots out there, as does my wife's family. But we won't be buried here, for sure. I've been going out there for years and the driveway just gets worse and worse. It never gets fixed, or even filled in.Not sure why anyone continues to buy plots here.
Helen Turner: My sister & her husband is there
CLEEVERIMAGES LLC: I got there early and enjoyed the beauty of the Dawn's twighlight over the Eastern horizon. A gorgeous place where I took some amazing photos. Nobody bothered me, and I was at peace.
Joplinlady Unicorn: Beautifully manicured and maintained for the loved ones and their families that rest here as well as visit their loved ones that are at peace here!
Betty Walker: Grounds are beautiful and well maintained. Several benches throughout and many shade trees. The management is very helpful and courteous as well.
Mya Rupert: This is the worst funeral home and Cemetery that I have ever dealt with. They are only out to take your money and have absolutely no respect for your love ones. If you truly care about them do not bury them here.
Amy Murray: The state of this cemetery is quite sad. During a visitation, I noticed many, many graves that have been driven over without a care. Several grave markers are bent and even broken from being driven over. This is not how I would expect my loved ones' resting place to be treated!
Joe Creson: Spend 5 minutes there and you will clearly see they make a habit of driving over grave markers, and even cracking the granite beneath. Was shocked at the seeming carelessness of the cemetery workers. If you have a loved one buried there, as I do, I would advise checking their grave stones frequently.
Jason Essary: Given the circumstances... everything on this day was great. I couldn't ask for more.

Maple Park Cemetery: what do users think?
Matthew Cole: Horrible place. Went by to visit grave at 6pm and had the cops called on me to get me out. What kind of cemetery limits the time frame you can go by and visit your departed loved ones. Wish I would have chosen a different place that I would be allowed to visit whenever I wanted and had the time to do so. So disrespectful and disappointing that this is how they operate. No one even asked me to leave they just called the police and accused me of making a drug deal even though I was in there by myself. So disgusting
Coahomma !: Peaceful
C. McDonald: Great place to rest. My grama has lived here for a few years now, and can't say enough about it!
Bibin Mathew: Resting place among the maples.
Michael: This cemetery looks beautiful in the fall. It is well maintained. An officer was there when I went today just monitoring the location I guess.
Tuan Nguyen: I have a friend that past away and was burried in Maple Park Cemetery. I hope he rest in peace. Amen.😇💐🌹
James Christianson: My little go to kind of spot. Spent a few years passing through to get where I was going. There is a father and mother barried a long time back but they acknowledge their son Tennessee soldier Confederate Kic
J S: Nice and quiet. I live nearby and the cemetery is a very welcome neighbor.
Ayres Ryder: Nice place to walk around. Quiet. Solemn. Melancholy.
Some Dude: We took our pup on a walk and ended walking through here. It was a pleasant walk. It's a big pretty cemetery.

Greenlawn Memorial Gardens: what do users think?
Starlene Ingram (SKI): Kevin was a wonderful director for my mom's funeral. His genuine compassion for others is his superpower. Nathan in the monument shop went above and beyond to get my moms monument placed by mother's day which was very important to me. Greenlawn North rocks!
Brent Huff: Greenlawn Cemetery North handled my mother's funeral. Greenlawn did an amazing job and the staff was ultra professional. Every detail was addressed to perfection. I want to give a special shout out to Devin, who was extremely helpful and empathic during this very difficult time in our lives. I am forever grateful.
Susan Murphy: They are very kind to you during your sadness knowing that you are going to get through your sadness with time.We always remember how you treated us thank you so muchThe Murphy family
Jenn Johnson: Very pretty grounds, lots of big trees, very peaceful
CLEEVERIMAGES LLC: It's a very nice cemetery and it's huge. I found alot of nice stonework and interesting names here. The people frequening the cemetery seemed overly nosy though. So did the maintenance people. They didn't disturb me directly, but kept driving and walking by my car and staring at Kat, my girlfriend. Not very appropriate.

Eastlawn Cemetery: what do users think?
Jill Cox: Just visited this cemetery for Memorial Day and was disappointed in the lack of upkeep. It had not been mowed or trimmed, sections of the fence were missing, and the trash bins were overflowing. Hazelwood and Maple Park cemeteries in Springfield are maintained much better.
Marilyn Williams: Why are these grounds not taken care of??? I've requested, spoken with Ben and a grounds keeper and was told they would get a crew from White Chapel there to take care of this almost a month. I DO NOT like the disrespect that is shown to these deceased people. I have 8 family members buried there and this is what it looks like today 5/9 after working almost a month of getting the grounds cleaned up. There is never any trimming around the stones and the grounds are never mowed. I will say there was some clean up done right after I talked with Ben last but now today it looks worse than when I was there previously. I'm going to keep complaining and talking about this until this cemetery is pristine like it should be!! Memorial Day is fast approaching!!! Clean this Cemetery up!!!! Photos taken today 5/9
Jeff Stalnaker: One of my disabilities is hearing impairment. I sent them a message online. They did not respond.
Pat Gregory: I just love the beauty of the experience. I have relatives buried there so I walk each evening there. The experience of peace is a blessing.
CLEEVERIMAGES LLC: Nice peaceful Cemetery. Nobody bothered me,or tried to rob me. Got some great photos.
ELIZABETH KELLY: My father was buried here in July of 2016. My sister ordered his headstone in August of 2016. Since then, we've watched employees quit or get fired and we still have yet to see his headstone. It's now January of 2017.They have no customer service skills and never keep their word. They told us in November that there is a rush on the order.not sure what their idea of a rush order is anymore. They don't communicate with us either. I'm about to contact the attorney general over this company. Incredibly disappointed and I advize anyone looking into this cemetery to look somewhere else.
les harris: My wife & I have been to several cemeteries in the past few days and this has to be the worst looking thing that I have ever seen. Nothing mowed, new graves falling in and not taken care of like they should be. And no one working on the grounds at all. We could not even see our baby's grave stone so I will go weed eat around it tomorrow. While there I will also take care of some friends of ours that are buried in this sad looking place.I had to take care of 4 different graves last year as they were only mowed around a couple times. I just had left MT. Comfort Cemetery in Fair Grove and this is just a small country cemetery but it has been mowed already twice and the same with Greenlawn North..Just let people know you might want to think twice before you bury your loved ones At this so called cemetery. Which is kept like a junk yard.

Missouri Veterans Cemetery: what do users think?
Nicole Hood: Beautiful well maintained national cemetary in Springfield. Has many memorials, paths, and benches in a quiet neighborhood area. Also has a section of Lake Springfield for fishing and the Trail of Honor for walking.
Stacy Robison: For someone who works Mon-Fri at a 9-5 job and only off on weekends, I still have yet to be able to see my father due to their ridiculous hours. 8-4 Mon-fri and closed on the weekends?! How obtuse!!! I wish my father would have been buried somewhere else where I could ACTUALLY visit his grave.
melynda balke: I have my father and my husband laid to rest here. The staff are most compassionate and caring and helpful through the whole process.
Buffie Tucker: We just buried my husband there last month its so beautiful and peaceful the staff is wonderful and very polite!!

MrVaughn1986: Very well upkept cemetery.
Bibin Mathew: A well-honored place to rest in peace, after fighting a good fight for the nation.
CHARLES PRIESTER: I was driving down highway 65 North about the time the cemetery was being built and the only building on the property was a small one room.My wife and I went into see about the property and was asked if I would like to sign up for a position into the cemetery. As a retired USAF officer I signed up to be burred there along with my wife. Several years later my wife passed away and was buried there in PROBABLY THE MOST BEAUTIFUL FEDERAL CEMETARY IN THE UNITED STATES and being stationed in Washington at one time - I include Arlington in that comment. OUTSTANDING FACILITY AND CREDIT TO THE NATUONAL CEMETARIES AROUND THE WORLD.

The ceremony was very dignified with attention to the utmost honor and respect for my brother and his family and was flawless. The grounds are meticulous. Thank you to the Honor Guard and Director for a perfect service. Roger Daume.
