Jeannie James: First off when you/ your insurance PAYS for a cardiologist and you always see a nurse practioner, I wonder what the coding is-Is it for a nurse or an actual Doctor?Second, I know help is hard to find but the front desk staff was too worried about eating candy bars then taking care of their patients. MY TIME IS IMPORTANT TOO.THIRD-What is the duration of an appointment ? We don't live across town, so due to unforseen traffic issues we were Ten minutes late, then we're told she MAY be able to see us if we wait until she sees everyone . We've waited over 30 minutes here before but when we're ten minutes late he can't be seen but we can wait. This place is unprofessional and this will be our last time here!

Kenny Irvine: I was really worried about the stress test i had today due to a very bad experience with a stress test years ago but the nurses at this place are the absolute best. Not only did they calm my nerves but they truly are heroes for everything they do.

Heather Padgett: Waiting an hour and 30 minutes to not be listened to. Im only 26 and dont want to take pills the rest of my life. I let him and his staff know i wanted an ablation like my mom did and they refused because they claimed they don't work. I let them know i wouldnt be coming back and a few weeks later i get a certified letter saying im fired from the clinic. Pathetic. Do not waste your time unless you're ok with taking pills the rest of your life and waiting 2 hours for visit.

adam mackenzie: Unlike the review below they do NOT care about your time. I made it understood my time is limited. I filled all the paperwork out and turned it in 5 days in advance to prevent any delays. Like most I have a hectic work schedule and it's difficult to find time during "specialists" hours. I waited for over 1 hour and 30 minutes past my appointment time. I talked to the receptionist a couple times and she said it should just be a couple minutes longer each time. When I left she seemed frustrated with me wanting to know how much longer. She stated this is common for Dr. Barons schedule as he is busy. Yes, according to her it's common to wait hours to be seen. I guess my time isn't as important as theirs. I'll find a different specialist that puts their clients needs first.I have no doubts Dr. Baron is a great cardiologist based on my research but his receptionist or front desk scheduling staff makes his office look unorganized.

C H: I was surprised to see negative reviews here, don't you want a Doctor who cares about every patient not how many he can see in one day. Dr. Baron is thorough and witty with a refreshing sense of humor and an excellent rapport with his staff. Glad to see he records his documentation on the spot. The staff was very helpful and the safety measures related to COVID-19 are by far the best I've seen in Springfield. While the appointment for a new patient was long, I left feeling like I joined a new team of highly skilled and knowledgeable professionals. Thank you! I look forward to working with you all.

Holly Horton: Be prepared to be left in the waiting room for an hour plus past your appointment time to be roomed... then wait some more in a patient room before the Physician spends 5 minutes and barely remembers who you are. When you ask the front desk why you are sitting in the waiting room over an hour past yourappointment time only to be told the Physician is not there nor do they know where he is. I respect that the Physician may be called to the hospital for an emergency, but to just leave patients sitting in the waiting room without the courtesy of letting you know why you are going on an hour and a half and still not roomed.....very poorly done!

Heather Padgett: I waited an hour and 30 minutes just to be put in the back, no one seemed to know when i would be seen and when i was Dr. Baron wouldn't even listen to me. I am a 26 year old and am looking for a cure for my heart issues, not symptomatic treatment. He wanted me to take a pill every day the rest of my life versus just getting an ablation. I told them i would not be coming back because i wasn't satisfied with the type of treatment he offered. A few weeks later i get certified mail that they were firing me as a patient! Pathetic. Don't waste your time going here.

Matthew Heinlein: Not a very good place to go. The lady at the front desk was snappy and rude and after an hour of waiting for the doctor to show my grandpa ask if the doctor was here yet and staff wasn't very friendly when answering his question which was no. The last time he had an appointment the doctor was 2 hours late and is looking like it's going to be same this time. It would seem that we have to stick with doctors schedule and would be nice if the doctor could be there at the scheduled appointment that he has made. It's starting to look like this is the normal operation of the baron cardiology group.

Brit Crews: He was very dismissing. Started husband on a blood pressure med then didnt want to see him for a year. Three days after he started the new med he passed out in the yard twice. Called the office and the receptionist was extremely rude and argued with him. Told the nurse would call back never did. Called insurance company about a bp machine was told the doctor would have to right a script so we called his office and yet again she told us they dont do that... Receptionist are rude and very dismissive. My husband has hypertrophic cardiomyopathy yet they treat him like he has the flu. We are switching cardiologist next week and the receptionist at the new doctors office didnt act like his attitude was news to her.Id like to add that he has never had a history of high bp.
