Jay Thompson: The food was great! But I think there is an upgrade needed. The carpet in the banquet room is something I rip out of my rental houses and the 1984 decor is needing an upgrade. The 17 inch TV needs to be replaced..The food was amazing though but I think for the whole experience to be an 'experience' then every detail should be looked at.
Trudy Davis: What a wonderful evening! The service was excellent and the food was delicious. The inviting atmosphere was made even more pleasant with the lovely music played and sung by an excellent pianist/vocalist. My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed our evening.
Lyzz Michals: I had the 3oz medallions, I asked for the sauce to be on the side. I also ordered a calamari appetizer. The calamari was like chewing on breaded rubber. The steaks were of wonderful quality. The sauce, however, was not on the side and the flavor was bland. We waited about 10 minutes to get water. The waitress was friendly, when she was around. I will not return nor will I recommend this place to anyone.

Joan Bowen: The view is awesome! Reminded me of the view of Dublin from the top of the Guinness Brewery as you can see for miles. And then there is the food. My favorite appetizers were the asparagus/wax beans wrapped in phylo, but the chicken satay was a very close second. And the sweets....who wouldn't love chocolate gateau for their chocolate fix, or the flaky raspberry napoleon. My personal favorite was the blueberry petit four which was lovely to look at and luscious to eat. And all of the staff were very friendly and welcoming. Julian Tillman: This was a really great experience for us this evening. The staff are friendly, not stuffy (including the manager). There seem to be a variety of dining room environments; not sure if all are open at all times or to all guests. But the FOOD is flavorful, colorful, and - most importantly - delicious! There is reason to make this a special occasion, but also perhaps a tradition throughout the year.

Andrew carter: Do not come here if you have kids. Staff extremely rude is kids are being kids. This place is a joke.
Tammy Collins: The Savoy was the perfect place for our wedding. It is very classy and so beautiful. The courtyard is beautiful for an outdoor ceremony. If the weather doesn't cooperate for an outdoor ceremony, moving inside does not disappoint. Out of all the places we visited for our wedding venue, the Savoy stood far above them all. Anne and Andy were excellent from the first day we met them. Every email and text were answered quickly. I knew I could call and visit them any time. Out of all our wedding vendors, they made everything involved with the Savoy worry free. Anne and Andy helped with every detail we needed from them. The day of our wedding they were there for set up, all through the ceremony and reception......and even helped us clean up!! By the time our wedding was over, we felt like we had two new friends. We never worried about anything at the Savoy. They are very professional, yet completely approachable and comfortable. Their staff is amazing and they all worked well with our DJ and caterer. We had a little glitch with the DJ sound system. Anne and Andy helped fix the issue and the party went on! We are so happy that we chose the Savoy for our wedding. Our guests thought it was the most beautiful venue they have been to locally. The Savoy is well worth a visit when deciding where to celebrate one of the biggest moments in your life.

Jordan Nelson: I had the opportunity to work with the Savoy Ballroom for a corporate Christmas party and they made it an easy and enjoyable experience. They took care of the room set up, A/V, linens, valet parking, bar tending, and even a live piano player! The Savoy is a one stop shop for corporate events and everyone in my organization loved the experience. We will definitely be back, not only because the venue is beautiful, but also because the owners went out of their way to make the planning process easy. Shelby Lynne (ShelBAE): My wedding on October 8, 2022 was beautiful with the scenery and the vibe. The staff at Savoy did a wonderful job, including the owners. The only thing I would change is the communication factor. There were things brought up two weeks before my wedding that was not listed in writing or in my contract I had initially signed. When I brought this up, they told me it was per policy. When I let them know it wasn’t in the contract I had signed they told me that they would make an exception for my situation. The day of my DJs were setting up and one of the owners had issues with how my DJ was setting up and the equipment they did not have… I think this is a great venue overall, but for future brides, I would definitely open that line of communication. I texted the owner multiple times/had lots of questions and if she was busy she got short with me and I felt like she was just answering to get me out of her inbox. Another instance was she texted me two months in a row still quoting me a payment whenever I had paid off three months prior…She had mentioned she did not write down I was paid in full yet. This made me feel very uneasy as I am paying a lot of money for my event. I’m glad that it was taken care of and I believe it was an honest mistake, but it seems there is a severe lack of organization as well. Overall, it was a good experience and the owners were quick to fix their mistakes My day was beautiful and stress-free due to their assistance. Just watch for the potential accidents here and there!

Jessica Catron: The second we laid eyes on the Savoy Ballroom we knew it was the place for us to become husband and wife. Nestled on Springfield’s historic Commercial Street, we were awestruck by the crystal chandeliers, the hardwood floors, and the gorgeous tin ceiling. But the display windows from when the building was a department store truly took our breath away – mirrored, and the perfect place to hold some of the Savoy’s gorgeous furniture for gifts (including an historic church pew), welcome bags, and our cake. The ballroom was exactly what we picture for our 1920s vision. Anne and Andy’s eclectic collection of décor that is available for use took brought our vision to life – mixing Gatsby with Beauty and the Beast with the use of a plethora of votive holders and the most stunning candelabras I have ever seen. All of this, combined with the modern bathrooms and well-equipped HVAC, would have been enough. But then we saw the courtyard.The outside is simple, elegant, and perfect for any ceremony. The pergola covered in our flowers transported us to a ceremony that was a dream come true. The bridal suite set up was perfect for us, and made our day so much easier to have everything all in one place. Anne and Andy have everything you need to make this your dream event. They did for us.If this reads like a love letter to this venue, it’s because it is.
