Missouri Job Center: what do users think?
Steve Ra: Nice and professional
Steve P: Great information provided.
Edward “Legend Dig” Wayne: Great experience and very useful
Mr.573 preach: Still have good resources in job searches.
T M: The woman who stood at the computer location hovered and made me feel anxious while I was trying to update my resume. She was so unhelpful that I ended up leaving without being able to complete my resume properly.
Lance Lathrop: Staff is incredibly knowledgeable and helpful. I'm very grateful that we have this resource in my City and highly recommend them from job prospecting , updating a resume, etc.
taylor lee: The person answering the calls (Marilyn?) Is worthless and so is anyone else that is responsible for answering a call in this place. Marilyn answered my call laughing, took 5secs for them to even acknowledge I was on the line. When I told Marilyn I've never been called back from the multiple voice-mails I've left, they were very sarcastic and rude. Then put me on hold without saying anything else and I got sent to ANOTHER voice-mail. These people don't help, better off going in person.
Kayla Zglinicki: My husband went in there to get help printing off a Resume he had already written down & just need typed out & nobody would help him & was turned away & the gentleman told him he could not to help him because there was 4 others he had to help & he couldn't help with that.. Wasted trip will just go to the library to see if some one can print it so he can start his job tomorrow
Akaya Ranspot: To give you even an idea of how much this place has helped me, I've been in and out of the hospital all my middle and high school, finally dropping out in the middle of 10th grade bc the teachers gave up on me bc I was that far behind and they didn't care, they wanted me to do hw while I was hooked up in ICU having trouble breathing. Fast-forward hella research and commitment, I found this place by luck and they have showed me nothing but kindness and wanting others to try their best at education and finding new jobs that work for you. I've been able to hit the ground running with my education not worrying about the next time I'm in the hospital it will mess everything up while these amazing teachers really do care about getting you what u need. I hope this helps for how much they helped me. I wouldn't of come this far without them. I am so very grateful I found this place.
Linda Pierce: These pictures were taken at 1pm today at the Missouri Career Center on East Sunshine. The silver Honda is my vehicle, I am disabled and have a handicapped placard displayed for the handicapped parking spot. The white Mercedes in the photographs, parked in the lined area adjacent to the handicapped parking spot, belongs to a director-level employee at the Missouri Career Center. When she parked next to me, I politely asked her to relocate her car, so that after I left, a handicapped person whose vehicle needed that lined area to lower a wheelchair lift, could have access to the facility. She told me that she leased the property and could park there if she wanted, that it is not illegal for her to park there. She further said that there were enough handicapped parking spots for anyone who needed them.My friends, please share this post with the purpose of alerting her superiors to her callous attitude toward the handicapped, but toward the law as well. The owner of this vehicle is a paid public servant and is in a leadership position.Thank you
Ricky Horstman: Always long line
Katana_ Rider: Went for a job interview.
Shepard Alenko: Upon reading some of the positive reviews I find them highly comedic and laughable at best. This place takes up the highest honor of being worse than Penmac at time wasting. If you’re looking for a job then try indeed or even craigslist before coming here. They will do nothing but waste your time, I know from experience since they have wasted my time multiple times. To say this building represents a government establishment perfectly (a building with a shimmering front and a message that gives you hope but after, leaving you feeling cheated out of time and/or money) is the only truth that can be found anywhere near these premises. My sheer hate for this place is unparalleled as compared to any other horrible business I have ever dealt with. I feel incredibly sorry for the other people, like me, that have gone in expecting help or to find employment but leave empty handed.
Kyle Bradley: They have one of the gnarliest parking lots to thrash. Whether you’re kicking around a classic, or bombing with a long, you’re sure to have a blast. I’ve even seen fruitboots shredding it up at this spot. The Kum&Go nearby has hecka selection of smokes and killer deals on Monster Energy drinks. Plus there is a lot of traffic on Sunshine, so babewatch on full max.
Charlie & Jess Binney/Lindsay: Just fine.
Kerunou Ronorona: Not a good place to go if you're actually looking for a job. They're more likely to pitch you a bunch of programs that will move you toward a career later down the road, rather than gainful employment in the here and now. So if you're unemployed in the here and now, don't waste your time. Short staffed and unlikely to get you the help you need.
Greg Price: The Career Center part is spacious, modern and comfortable. The part that helps people with Food Stamps/etc is off to one side, tiny, and there is nowhere to sit in the actual lobby while almost always having a line. Not handicap/disabled friendly at all.
Jacob Kolb: very unreliable. not saying the whole place is terrible but there are certain people who never answered the phone for me when I had questions about ged testing. they may have paid for me to take my GED tests but it took way longer through the career center because my case worker was either never there or too lazy to answer the phone. been waiting on a check for a minute now.
AP Media: Career center has been keeping up with me through trade school, and giving me bonuses for staying in school! At any time willing to set me in the direction of a career or help me find an apprenticeship.
Troy McInnis: They have a nice facility and they have a large number of computers with people who are there to help you navigate their system. They have classes you can take that will help you build a resume and they have people who will give you advice. Because of these types of things offered I give it a 3 stars. The reason I can't give it more than 3 stars is because in six months I was never sent on one interview. I was told that, because of my quilifications and education, I would be bumped up a notch where I would be with a person who works with companies who are looking for people with my specific qualifications.I was given advice, but to be honest, I wasn't told anything I didn't already know.I went to a resume class that I thought was quit good on the surface, but it was an older resume that got me in the door and the newer one didn't really work for the job i applied for.Don't get me wrong, companies use them to conduct interviews, but if your not actively watching for these on the calendar you will miss them.I feel that they need to let the people needing assistance know that they aren't there to send them to interviews, help set up interviews, or keep you in the loop when a job comes around that your qualified for.I had an overall good experience, and fortunately I knew you have to do the legwork yourself. They do oversale in the beginning what they will do for you outside the facility. If you need assistance getting started they are the place to go.Thank you for your help.
Kit Smit: These people are very rude to everyone who walks in this building. They try to belittle you. It seems like they think that they are better or above you, witch is not ok at a place where they are supposed to help you. Sheila was the woman whose job is to help people fill out forms on a computer. Instead she tries to make people feel ignorant and incapable of doing anything.
