Anthony Munns: Here for a wine class on Alsace wines. The proprietor is also a sommelier. Detailed, informative, and a broad selection of wines to sample - 9 different ones! Place is loud when full but eclectic crowd, great conversations.
Tayler Bertelsman: I came in needing a bottle of wine for a gift. James was super helpful in finding me the perfect bottle of wine in my price range! I was honestly a little jealous of the selection and almost left buying two bottles - one for a gift and one for me.I look forward to coming back for Tuesday wine tastings.Edit: I kept coming back and each time was as great as my first visit. They have a wonderful charcuterie board available (expect on Tuesdays) and one of the best patios in the area.

Devin Pelkey: I was excited to visit for beer. I’ve been to Total Wine in other locations in the US and was expecting the same great variety of choices that I saw in the other locations from beer breweries big and small from every corner of the globe.The selection was … very ordinary. Nothing I couldn’t find at Schnucks, Dierburgs, WalMart, or even my local liquor store. You may not have every beer you see at another location, but it’s mostly local brews, and national chains, and far too many hard seltzer choices (the hip drink to have at the moment) that it seems that Total Wine is not the big beer destination it once was. I asked the front desk for brands like Ballast Point, Weirbacher, or Einstok … and was told our distributor stopped carrying them a few years ago so we stopped carrying them. Very comfortable telling me they had no plans to buy again. No help in getting it or ordering it. Just … we don’t have it.Anyone that’s been to Brentwood knows the nightmare it takes to get in or out of the shopping center, so I’ll say if you want Wine or Liquor it’s great for hard to find or unique choices, otherwise it’s just another beer stop and not worth your time it takes to get in or out of here to make it worth it.

Cody Cummings: Great liquor selection. The wine selection is pretty good. Maybe a little cab heavy in the reds department, but I only say that because the merlot section is kind of small. It makes up for it in the imports section. They have a smaller craft beer selection, but I think that could be due to Missouri interstate import rules (I’ve been told by others that this is the reason, but I would love to know if that’s accurate) The service is great and the employees are very helpful when looking for something new. Overall, it’s a good place to stop if you want to restock the bar, or to get some decent deals.

rachael b: I recently turned 21 and went to Total Wine at Brentwood to exercise my new alcohol-buying privileges. All of the staff were extremely nice, friendly, and helpful, and helped me find 2 tasty bottles of wine with my admittedly unrefined palette after taste-testing both of them and explaining some flavors I like. The sheer variety of alcohol can be somewhat overwhelming but the staff clearly knows their stuff and you can find a winner with their help. I was very impressed by their collection of Belgian and Belgian-style beers as well. Overall a great first experience and I will definitely be back!

Robert May: Best wine shop I've been to in St. Louis. Very friendly owners who live in south STL and want the place to be a neighborhood epicenter. Wine selection is thoughtfully curated - not like going to a Schnucks or Dierbergs (or even some other locally owned wine shops) and choosing from what seems to be whatever they can throw on the shelves. If you live even remotely close, be sure to stop in. You won't regret it.
