Nicole Barhorst: Staff was as very kind. it was fun to walk around & learn about Birds. It would have great if the seating area at the bird show had shade. The cement seating area was very hot to sit on at the bird show.Price for entry: $8.00

The Smith Show: We came here for the first time on our 15th anniversary to get outside and do something in nature and it was absolutely fantastic! Over 30 different birds to look at. Plus some really great nature trails. Staff was fantastic as well! I think it was $8 for a person or $12 for a car.Visited on Weekday Wait time No wait Reservation recommended No Price for adult entry $6–10 …More
Kenzie Cubic: Knowledgeable experience for me and the kids! Would recommend
Lynn Brown: No shows were happening when we arrived, so didn't get the full experience. Most birds are kept in outside enclosures.Price for entry: $0

Yusuf Jassim: Very cool sanctuary for many rare (Both in captivity and the wild) birds. The number of bird of prey species is very impressive.
Laroo: Signage isn't very good. We walked all over looking for the gift shop to pay our entry fee, and it turned out to be right at the entrance where we came in. Otherwise, really cool!Visited on Weekday Wait time No wait Reservation recommended No Price for adult entry $6–10 …More

Columbia Bottom Conservation Area: what do users think?
L. Smith: Needs ground maintenance.
Matt Staszewski: There's absolutely nowhere to go hiking anymore either. And everything is overgrown including neglected. Why is the visitor center never ever open? The only still in existence is a boat ramp. Who is responsible for maintenance? I would fire them all.
Martin Flores: Magnifica
Joe H: Confluence Trailhead is here but it’s broken up and overgrown a bit. However not totally inaccessible. Perfect hiking to see the river edge or for peace and quiet. I’d recommend going in winter, to cut down on possible tick exposure.
Brandon Jarrett: Great dove hunting
Ishea Young-Taylor: I hate giving one star reviews but its the truth. Its so dessert looking, weeds over grown and ofcourse the welcome center was closed and nobody answered the photo. A lot of the trails was closed/blocked off and the gravel roads or horrific. They gravel has been kicked around so much that ur just riding on bumpy pavement. I'm sure in the spring and summer its beautiful but for the fall season its a waste of time.
David Matthews: Great photo opportunity in the summer
Thomas Baker: My fault. Procrastinated and came to late for sunflowers and confluence trail appeared washed out. Disappointing but not their fault 🤷🏻‍♂️
Linda Dalton: The place is closed. No sunflowers in any of their fields. So disappointed!
Christine Lampe: Drive forever for nothing. Complete waste of time.
Benjamin Hoover: always a beautiful place to explore
Praveen Ellappa: Nice sunflower field and its free!!
LEAH “QUEEN OF BROKEN HEART'S”: Love the 🌻🌻🌻.. n the man I call my KING 👑 my luv
Shreenivas Patil: Awesome place, must visit! Don't miss sunflower season starting in July till Aug mid. Drive till the end to river/boat area to complete your trip. Lot of stops in between to take pictures. Never miss the sunset, it's mind blowing experience. Place is very calm, free of pollution with less crowd. You can capture lot of nature scenic pictures. Try to be on sunny day and at least one hour before sunset. Gate closes after sunset, so plan your trip accordingly. No entry free. Overall, we enjoyed our visit. A must go places, try it to enjoy the beautiful nature and river view. Thanks for reading this comment.
Nikkidemus Phenoix: Fun, mind the bees and bugs, lots of people, but amazing opportunity for stunning photos. Thanks for planting all these beautiful flowers and helping the bees!
Michael Kiffmeyer: Beautiful!!
Eldrick Hewitt: It's very peaceful
TDH Reviews: Didn't spend much time here. Vistor center looked closed. I need research more and come back.
Ellis Smith: It's an better place to put my boat in. I can get to that hot spot I located last year.
Mark T: Stopped in for a hike of a now non-existent trail which was lots of fun and glad I did it in the winter as I ended up doing a lot of bush whacking.
Wrenchin Nerd: Came out to walk the confluence trail but the road to the trailhead was locked and with a 3 year old the extra mile that would have added made it impossible, pretty disappointed

John F. Kennedy Memorial Forest: what do users think?
becki benz: A diamond in the rough!!! I never knew this place existed and was beyond thrilled with not only the snow cone, but the snowballs they sell as well.Friendly, fast, affordable, and they take card!
Becky Hansis-O'Neill: Great birding and lots of wildlife.
Marilyn Rusan: Visited on Weekday Wait time No wait Reservation recommended Not sure Price for adult entry FreeMore
Linda Smart: There is a security guard entrance to get through very beautiful place. I got to see lots of deer.
Amy Joy Camp: This is best place in all of stl
Jarrod West: Great place to hike and meditate. Tranquility and Peace are abundant in this hidden gem in the heart of our urban forest.
Azzurra N: Beautiful 🤩🤩🤩
Brent Punch: Forest Park is like being out in the country very clean safe you have to go
Art Leverenz: Hidden gem in Forest Park. Trails are rarely crowded, and the ecological restoration has produced wonderful results. The wooded areas are full of native wildflowers in spring, and the savanna areas are full of native flowers in summer. Urban oasis of wildlife.
Carter Staley: This is one of the most relaxing places to get away and it's hidden right in the middle of the city. When you're deep inside the densely packed forest, you can hardly hear the nearby highway or any city noises, just birds and the wind. There's multiple walking trails and bike trails, bridges and streams. I visit the forest multiple times a week to recharge and center myself. Especially beautiful and lush in the Spring.
Party Animals: It's always nice. The trail is great and it's not to gar from a nice walk to the zoo and art hill.
Matt Alvino: About as close to a forest oasis you are going to get within city limits. We were here in the winter so the pictures are not doing it justice. Some parts are deep enough in the woods where you don't see cars or building anymore.Combination of concrete, gravel, and dirt paths throughout. Trails are kind of a cluster that go off in crazy directions without a real loop. If you do the actual quasi loop I thinks it's barely a mile.
lisa kriz: Beautiful and fun and very relaxing. 👍😊☝great place to hang and play African drums 👍👊

Endangered Wolf Center: what do users think?
David Doerhoff: Had an extremely positive experience. Did the VIP tour. The wolves are very amazing animals and the care they take of them is great! Our tour guide Jimmy was very friendly and informative. It was an anniversary present and they surprised us with a happy anniversary sign in one of the habitats. Where the African painted dogs got to rip it up. It was amazing and won’t be forgotten! Will go back and will recommend to others!

Lauren Kluge: Beautiful walk in the woods. Go in the cool months, when they're more active. My almost four year old wasn't that interested, so plan accordingly. I'd say it would be a solid trip for elementary aged kiddos.Visited on Weekday Wait time No wait Reservation recommended Yes Price for adult entry $16–20 …More
Kat Martin: I can't shut up about this place. I bought a standard tour as well as a training experience, which let us observe some of their maned wolves very closely. We learned so much about all of the animals that they care for here and got to see much more of them than I anticipated! Binoculars are a good idea if you want to really check them out, but many of the animals were right up against them fence, including cuddle piles of African Painted Dogs and even a gray wolf. Daisy the fennec fox gave us a little performance from behind the window of her enclosure. At one point she even picked up one of her toys to show it to us. I left here feeling so charmed and grateful for the experience. Highly, highly recommended.

Angelizm: We really enjoyed our 2-hr endangered canids tour with Shawn! He was very knowledgeable & funny 😄. The animals seem like they are well taken cared of & the facilities are clean. Military are also free. Dress warm during winter & wear comfy shoes to walk. Sandra Revnell: What an awesome tour with super friendly and knowledgeable staff Our wolf-loving toddler was enamored with the real howls. A must stop - you won't be disappointed.
Karsten H Kessler: Excellent place!A zoo might have two species of foxes and wolves. This place is different. Specialized in the care of wolves and foxes it is one of the few in the world you could even go to.The staff is very helpful and patient with all questions. It helps if you as the visitor are quiet and you will hear the packs howling across the forest and see them play and wander.Restrooms: There are porta potties for larger groups. Most of the buildings are repurposed bunkers without restrooms. The few restrooms in buildings are in the more modern research center.Dog-friendliness: Dont bring dogs
David Coleman: This is an awesome place. Shawn our tour guide was first class all the way. Their programs to save endangered wolves was founded by Marlin Perkins. The wolf enclosures are spread out over about a half mile walk. It was an enjoyable experience.Wait time No wait Reservation recommended Yes Price for adult entry $16–20 …More
