Amy Fisher: I would give them 10 stars! I called STL beds the night before I had to move as I was having an issue draining a waterbed. I was using the drain & fill kit but when I turned the water on in my bathroom sink to create the pressure to suction the water out, the pressure was too fast and was going to over flow so I turned the water pressure to medium. I couldn't tell if it was draining the bed or not so I found STL online (I'm in FL), called and I got Doug. He let me know the bed would not drain at half pressure and I needed to buy a Drummond Transfer pump which I could get at Harbor Freights. I went into a panic because I needed to drain that bed as the movers were going to be at my place the next morning. STL was closing in a few minutes and I had never used the pump before. I was half in tears because where could I get help if I needed it? Doug assured me I could use the chat message link on their website even after they closed and went on to give me his personal cell number "just in case" and assured me we would get my waterbed drained that night. I hurried up, got to Harbor Freights, (Doug even recommended I check online at the HF close to me to make sure they had the pump in stock, which thank God they did!) got the pump and everything went as Doug said it would. He explained to me how to connect the pump and what to do. I did call him upon my return to let him know everything was working as it should! Talk about going the extra mile for customer service and I'm not even a customer of STL. This just tells you STL is a first class place for ALL your waterbed needs.
N S: Most people who are making a large investment in a bed tend to research prior to going, to get an idea of what their looking for.That's exactly what I did as far as mattresses and stores to buy from.I found STL Beds, they had 4.9 stars which peaked my interest. I started reading some reviews, finding many have had excellent results.I visited STL beds on April 1st, 2023 with a pretty good idea of what I was looking for or at least I thought. LolDoug was our salesman, hands down the BEST experience I've ever had purchasing a new mattress. Doug is extremely knowledgeable when it comes to making sure his customer's find the right mattress to meet their needs. Doug spent 3 hours with us explaining how each mattress is made as well as the pros and cons.If you want a good quality mattress and exceptional quality customer service. Please go visit Doug at STL Beds, you won't be disappointed.

I would not have known this had the owner, Doug, not reached out to me to verify that I had selected the right product. It is so rare to order a product via Amazon and actually have a human, let alone the owner of a company connect with you to ensure a good experience. Cannot speak to the products itself, but based on a comparison to others online while I was shopping the materials and construction are superior.

Doug was amazing and explained so many things about mattress quality that my husband and I never knew. kathy mundinger: I received a phone call from Doug in regards to the measurements of my antique bed for the conversion frame. I'm so thankful for that call. Although the measurements were fine I/we discovered that the conversion frame wouldn't work due to my bed having a single hook/pin system vs a double hook. Although I was disappointed, Doug explained everything to me and did give me another option. His customer service saved me a lot of unwanted frustration. Thank you.
D Baker: My new STL Full to Queen Conversion Kit Lowered Rail Bed Frame Converter DRCV1L arrived within a couple of days of placing the order. The package and contents were in good order. The frame assembly was easy, and the bed frame was very stable, even with only the center cross brace. The box spring and mattress are well supported, and stable with both me and my wife aboard. The bed is in a guest bedroom and has not yet been used, but have every expectation that it will serve its function.
Benjamin Kay: Pros: Probably the widest selection of different mattress types in St. Louis from latex to foam to spring to hybrid. Owner (Doug) is knowledgeable and eager to help you.Cons: Really difficult to have a straightforward conversation with Doug about mattress quality. He loves to talk about how a mattress is hand-made, regarded as "luxurious," capable of withstanding the forces of a hydraulic press, made of "organic" material, etc. I don't see how any of these factoids is supposed to help me judge the comfort or material quality of a mattress. I asked Doug to educate me about the foam density and spring count of his mattresses, but he would not give me specifics. He just could not stop talking about how many pounds of wool were in the mattress cover. Ultimately got fed up and bought a mattress somewhere else.

Lois Acheson: I originally bought a brand new bed in June of 2020....right when pandemic hit. I went to the Watson store (now closed) and bought a queen sized platform bed, headboard, footboard, mattress (paid $999.00) for mattress, also bought mattress protector (lifesaver), had it delivered, set up, the works. Unfortunately they were out of stock of slats so I got a metal frame instead.Fast forward to the present: got diagnosed with Type 2 diabetes, lost alot of weight, ended up with back and neck problems. Figured would get a mattress topper, was sinking into mattress! So I went to lemay ferry store, bought slats, and they were delivered on Saturday. Unfortunately I didn't have all the pieces to my frame (was unaware). Randall & Joe were here nice, took photos of where missing pieces should be...they informed Sal at warehouse and the following work day when I called Sal, he told me they would be bringing out correct pieces for bed and install slats.When I measured bed, measurements came out for a full sized bed. Sal said he would speak to his boss, Amanda. The delivery guys just left and I couldn't be happier! They installed correct pieces, brought up queen sized box spring. Apparently I measured incorrectly, measurements were off by just a little (my mistake). I asked if I could swap out mattress (new one firmer), and Randall said no problem! They brought it up in the rain and took old mattress and frame back! I wish I could have tipped them more! I can't thank everyone enough at the bedroom store to work with me like they did!I highly recommend this company! They go above and beyond!

Patricia Brand: After looking on the bedroomstore.com for s new waterbed mattress, I called The Bedroom Store closest to me to inquire if they carried the mattress in store that I found online. The gentleman, Ron, was so very helpful and said that they didn't carry it in store however he would be happy to call their warehouse and see it they had the Constellation 2 mattress. It was only about 10 minutes and Ron called me and said the warehouse had the mattress only there it is called a Tranquility 2 mattress. Ron was so good, he took my order and credit card over the phone, called the warehouse and told them to get it ready for my husband to pickup. Ron even called back to make sure we had the directions on how to get there and the phone number to call for curbside pickup.My husband went out there, called and they brought it out and put it in his truck along with the conditioner and receipt. Very courteous people!! Ron is mailing me a copy of the receipt as well with the warranty.I could not have asked for more kind assistance from Ron at the Bedroom Store and the person (s) at the warehouse!! They truly went the extra mile!!! THANK YOU!!

William Covington: Absolutely horrible experience. We purchased the bed over the phone with the store representative, and everything was fine until the delivery this past Saturday. The technicians installed the bed incorrectly, and this was not realized until they had left. When I reached out to the store the next day, the individual that’s always the bed basically said “well you can call customer service but they’re not there and you probably won’t get a callback for 24 to 48 hours”. Needless to say that once they sell you the bed the customer experience goes out the door, and the inability of their delivery drivers to side of the bed is a big turn off. The bed was returned this morning and I encourage you to do a ton of research before investing in a bed like this. If you’re looking for an inordinately expensive air mattress, by all means move forward with a sleep number.

Anthony Combs: I was about to spend over $2000 for a mattress and they wanted to charge a $200 delivery fee which totally ruined the sale. No option to pick up the mattress. You have to pay a delivery fee!!! I walked right out of the store. They did call me 15 minutes later indicating they can do a price match with this sale and the next sale in a couple weeks that would offer free delivery but I would have to request the refund. No thank you. This left such a sour taste in my mouth I will never buy, own or recommend a sleep number mattress to anyone.

Greeted as soon as I walked in the door (and on Labor Day weekend), very attentive to what I was looking for and very knowledgeable. Got a quote to discuss with my husband who was out of town. Came back the next day to order something a little different and all went very smoothly.
