St. Louis Water: what do users think?
James Lamkins: May 2022, according to the Fluoride Action Network. The NTP reported 52 of 55 studies found decreases in child IQ with increased fluoride.
Cathryn Currens: wettest water this side of the mississippi
Jonah May: Jeff Flake is a Groomer
Megan Pritchard: I do not understand how one can call this open office over and over during business hours and never get anyone to answer the phone. It rings and rings and rings and rings. It's beyond frustrating.
Dick Greggor: Seems like the customer service manager gets a check but never has to be in? Her auto email states she is taking 2 days off per week til August 6th but has been off over week supposed to be Tues and thurs not in office, but here it is wed and she is not in office today either? Or last week. Sad trying get help for a bill they trying to charge from 2015 but they have not turned on service since they turned it off but charging still.
Jonah: Worst people to work with.
Dani Khaos: It's been 4 months since their water line broke infront of my house and they still haven't fixed it and keep saying it's our problem even though the plumbers said it's their problem 100% this is getting very aggravating
Freeman: This morning I turned on the faucet in the kitchen and there was little water out, so I unscrewed the head, I mean the filter, and found the filter covered with things like sands.I replaced the water line from the main about ten years ago and the faucet a year ago.
Tom Gerth: I have had horrible experiences with this department over the years, I was almost dreading the call to find out why my tenant wasn't getting her water bills. A CSR named Rick made resolution quick and easy. This is the way customer service should be! Nice job, Water Division!
Karlito Marx: I tried to go in and pay my water bill but the doors were locked — upon further inspection, the nine separate signs telling me why they’ve been closed to the public during a pandemic enlightened me to why their door was locked. Great tasting water. 5/5 stars.
Stephanie Niesen: No one answers the phone when you call in the afternoon. It's only 3:00 pm. I don't have time to be calling 20 times to try to get someone to answer the phone but I supposed I have no choice.
Dan Keller: I just spoke with a very nice customer service rep at the Water Division. I wasn't expecting it so it was a VERY pleasant surprise. He helped me resolve my issue quickly and painlessly.
Dan L: Incompetent billing practices left us without water simply because a previous tenant had an unpaid balance at our address. Any intelligently designed billing system would assign unique account numbers to a person instead of allowing for people they don't even know to have an impact on their service.Customer service also leaves too early, if it's not yet 5 and your message tells me that your office hours are 8-5, you better pick up the phone.Yet again another Monopoly with a captive customer base who doesn't care to actually do the job right.
Moromo Music: Rude. 👏
Ryan Janson: Took them seven months to fix a leaking water line to my house that was on there side of the water shut-off. Called repeatedly and reported the issue. Was always told someone would be out that week... I had to stop paying my bill to get them to do anything... Then they charged me for the repair, because I had to stop paying my bill to get there attention. I am certain that if I continued paying my bill on time my water line would still be broken. That is the kind of service you receive from the city of St. Louis. The City of St. Louis Water Department is nothing short of a scam. Would have given them no starts, but that not an option.
Mallorie Moore: Kimberly made my experience with this company great. She found out why my water was off, kept in contact with me about when it will be back on, and even called again to make sure my water was on!! Very sweet young lady! Thank you dear!
Dan Luigs: Doesn't get worse than this company.1 star is too high.
Breanna McCoy: If I could give zero stars I would. Worst customer service I have ever experienced in my life. You can't call to start a service, you have to fill out paper applications and email it in. Once I did that they said they would send me a confirmation email (which they didn't) so I called the next day to check up on my application to make sure it was received and they were clearly annoyed that I was calling. This is my first time setting up a water account as I have always lived in apartments that cover it and this of all things has been the most painful process of buying my first home. They were very clearly annoyed with me simply asking if they received my application, cutting me off when speaking, and having a constant agitated tone. All I wanted to know was how their process works and how I will know if my water services is set to start once I get possession of my home. Not too much to ask in my opinion, but apparently the biggest pain of all for their employees. Just unprofessional and disrespectful.
Anonymous Astronaut: The left hand has no idea what the right hand is doing at the company, but the water itself is great.
Trey Spiller: Worst Customer Service of All Time!!!! If you are looking for incompetent people you have found it here. Standard government idiots that cannot do anything right. Now I have to add additional horrrrrrible customer service again....I called to understand why my water is out again. The representative tells me its a water main break and will be restored at 11pm. Little do I know this is not the problem, and we continue to wait for resolution. These people are border line incompetent and should not be in government. This is why government has a bad name.Anyone up for joint suit against this department?
Jennifer Baldasso: This place doesn't even deserve one star. This is the worst customer service I have ever seen. As a property manager, I need a bill per meters to my apartment complex. Not a hard request, right? WRONG!!! My two year old knows more than the people working in customer service. Terrible!!!!

Illinois American Water Co: what do users think?
Charlsa Hensley: Tap water from here made me, my family, and my dog sick. I rely on gallon jugs for my water now. :(
Capsgirl DC: Horrible company. Major rate hike when this town switched to this company. Discolored water with no explanation. Several boil orders with zero communication from the company. I do not even feel safe using this water, however they have a monopoly so I'm stuck with their horrible service. Customer service actually tried to blame me for not checking the status of the water before using it. I am forced to pay an extremely high rate for this horrible service.
Trey3rdeside Bond: Horrible service keep having issues had payed full amount for bill and for reconnect and didn't turn water on left me without water to get situated for work overnight very frustrating to have to call more than one operator about same problem thats been dealt with before. Do we have any alternatives in switching i always have issues
Vernetta Laton- HAYES: Horrible, wrong phone number listed there is no way to get in contact with them, if I could give a zero I would.
Cory Beyersdorfer: These people will put your number on a spam call list if you disagree with them.
Introverted Empath: DEMONIC!!!!!
Candace Mayte**: So this company turned my water off due to an employee leaving improper notation on the account. We paid our bill and called to confirm that they received payment which some foreign lady did confirm after 30 minutes of telling us to hold. 2 weeks later our water gets turned off!! My husband calls and she tells us we have to wait God knows how long for the tech to come back to fix their mistake... We waited OVER 4 HOURS!!! With a heat index of 107 and an infant in the home!!! This company and its customer service is below what on would call a disgrace!! Amber(the representative) said that if we turn our water back on ourselves we wont be charged tampering... Oh we will see..

Commonfields Cahokia Water: what do users think?
Meredith Foster: If only it were possible to leave negative stars. We have to pay three different water companies: 2 for sewer treatment (it takes 2?) and one for actual water. Not a single employee at either sewer company can provide an adequate response of why each is needed or to justify their pricing structure. A bunch of con artists who have basically strong-armed protection payment out of customers unfortunate enough to live within their jurisdiction.
Tim Dowell: Worst water company EVER!!!! Rudest Staff EVER!!!!
Peter Stewart: Bill has almost doubled over the years used to be set at 23.50 now is 40 a month for sewer services. I dont understand how something in a fixed amount can double in 8 years. It isn't like you are paying your people double now. Materials have not doubled, why my bill. No explanation, no one at the office knows anything. Working with them is the worse than going to the dmv.
Riley Y.: We currently pay 3 different water bills, this being one of them, totaling to over $100/month... We asked why we have to pay this bill since we aren't even in Cahokia and got a run around answer and then told we just have to pay it.
David Hults: I have a site that has been without water for over 30 days. You are promised a call back but nothing ever happens, no call, no response at all.
Treon Tucker: It’s 8:30 am and I’m trying too pay a bill over the phone and no one will pick up the phone they suck
mya crawford: Very unprofessional. They tell you that you cannot pay your bill with a debit or credit card cash only. I’ve never heard of a business that you can’t pay your bill with a debit card.
Dana A.: The website states that the office is open until 4:30pm, but apparently customers arriving after 4:15 will not be helped. Two trips in 2 days, and all I want to do is connect water service. The woman I spoke with stated several times that she was "walking out the door at 4:30". There is a woeful lack of customer service here, based on my two days of experience (so far) of poor customer service, disinterest and lack of professionalism.
Tawanda Story: Very unprofessional and no one knows ANYTHING! I've called for over two weeks asking for information on a sewer line that we are not connected to but receiving a bill for. Diversion at it's best!
Brie J: This place is such a ripoff I had to pay a bill that was outrageous due to them not reading the meter correctly. Spoke to several people that work there all were no help! My bill normally runs $45 max. So I received a $340+ bill for one month and it read that I used 300,000gallons of water !!!The manager pulled my account and said well “It’s steady going up two months ago you used 2,000 gallon then 3,000 then 2,100 gallons now 300,000 gallons”. I had no choice but to pay this ludicrous bill along with the water treatment bill that is based off the water bill. She also accused me off having a leak or the toilet running as to why the bill was outrageous which both we’re lies! 3,000 to 300,000 gallons a mistake on their end that I had no choice but to pay.
Marbus World: disaster
Kim P: 3 water bills in Cahokia such a rip off...better not be late...can u say no water...target people
Daphne Sams: If i could give them a negative 10 stars i WOULD. They are extremely unprofessional, they dug up the front of my house im late January (did not inform me that they were doing so) it is now APRIL i have called them NUMBEROUS times about coming to fix it and they have not been out they keep telling me that they are coming this day or that day and DONT!. The water sat for so long that it caused my street to buckle and for a pot hole in addition to the hole one the side of my drive way that was UNMARKED amd filled with mud and water.... My kids grand mothers car got stuck down in the unmarked hole om the side of my driveway i called and spoke with a womam on the phone and she argued that she would not send a tow truck to help her hi i found to be absurd because the whole should have been fixed months ago....so im order for her to her car unstuck we had to call the ALORTON POLICE DEPARTMENT and they told the water company to send someone out that could help us..NOT ACCEPTABLE AT ALL.
Ashley Kay Exclusive: If I could leave 0 stars I would. They turned off the lift pump for the entire neighborhood and forgot to turn it back on. The pump backed up and blew a pipe. The busted pipe began to fill our basement with sewage. This was a month ago. They refuse to talk to me, or look into anything. They will not let us file an insurance claim for the damages done to the house, and now are trying to say it never happened. Or that it was our fault for turning off the power to the house (which we did not, the power was never off in our house. Just the water when we thought it was a water pipe flooding our house) Completely unprofessional, unhelpful, and overall responsible for the destruction of all of our property and wont take ownership for it.

Missouri American Water: what do users think?
louis arman: This company replaced the water main in front of my house and tore up my front yard. I have been waiting almost 2 years for them to correct the damage. They refuse to reimburse me if I have it fixed myself
T R: Appointment for repairs scheduled for the afternoon. This was due to the water having to be shut off with 100 people occupying the building. Everyone was aware that there would be no water in the afternoon. Of course American Water shows up first thing in the morning, shuts the water off with no warning or advance notice. People were literally sitting on the toilet when the water was just shut off. It’s not that difficult to communicate with clients.
Edo: Reported water gushing out on corner off street and my property told me 2 hours till somebody will be there nobody showed up I came to find out on-call guy came out that night but went to wrong street with same name except it was CT not Dr and went home crew came out next day when I called and fixed leaking pipe. Updated they did send somebody same night he went to CT. Insteed of Dr. Next day crew came out and fixed pipe.
Stephany Price: They are the worst. They don’t take care of customers. They don’t call back. People don’t waste your time with them there’s a contact on your bill for Jeff city. Call them. I did I have a formal dispute going on the AMW AS I type. I have receive FOUR Separate bills for the month of March alone. Eat a different amount eat a different date. I don’t understand a company that has different due dates every month. All my other bills had the same due date Discover second of every month amren the sixth of every month AT&T and 18th of every month this American water is all over the place the 2nd to 7th 11th the 28th all over the place. They are not worth the headache call Jeff city put them in dispute.
Jonathan Riezman: Website requires use of chrome or safari. Totally unacceptable.
Dave Scoular: Fix your online bill pay. I've complained about this directly to you twice and your "solutions" were unhelpful and did not work. Water service is fine. Website and bill pay are awful.
Austen Klein: You will spend hours upon hours just trying to contact a customer representative. The menu is designed to be as infuriating as possible - several disconnects or complete misdirections to avoid putting you on with a human being at all costs. I'm somehow locked out of my account, and just trying to pay a simple bill. This is why a company monopolizing an entire city city utility is a horrible idea. They have no incentive to do a good job because there is no competition.
Alex Reilman: Might be the worst company I’ve ever dealt with. Customer service is a joke. Upper management should be fired. Horrible company, avoid at all costs
John Smith: They erroneously billed me $600 when I can prove that I have no water running. Then they send a minion out who did absolutely nothing but look at his iPad and make excuses why my toilets must be running or that there must be a hidden leak. In talking to the utility commission, I get more excuses and the only one who has solid proof of his position is me! Unfortunate that we are forced to deal with these thieves. They have done nothing but scams, fraud, and bully since I bought several properties in St. Louis. Protect yourself. Document all contacts. Keep written records of everything. Do not trust them ever.
Vicki Lueders: Happy with their service and quality.
Nick Smith: Recevied a bill with estimated usage of 94,000 gallons of water - an over $600 bill. No leaks, no swimming pool, nothing. Requested an investigation and the technician just replaced the meter. So it set back to zero, and magically my super high bill was "correct." When I called to dispute, they threatened to shut off my water and referred me to agencies to help with the payment. No.... the bill was incorrect. The tech said it was incorrect, they bill itself says it was an estimate even though our previous month's usage was under 3,000 gallons. But according to them there's nothing I can do but pay. And good luck getting past a customer service rep. Even the emails they send you don't receive replies.
HockeyXC31: The best tasting water in all the land!
Margarette Randolph: Worst company to deal with in case of emergency. I spent 1hr 33 minutes before a customer service agent answered the phone.
Dave Wagman: Poor customer service. Water shut offs do to poorly maintained pipes. Slow repairs and maintenance. But they have a monopoly on water. So they don’t care!
Kim Niccum: It should really be a 0. I have no water as of 12/23 and was told they would not come out because of the weather. I guess we'll just wait until the pipes outside bust because there is NO water coming in from the outside. Lousy customer service.
Jordan Kuiper: I called in and had the pleasure of speaking with Tanya. She was so kind and helpful during a Water main leak. She definitely went above and beyond and provided excellent customer service.
Rob Huston: Called twice and asked for a representative. On hold for 13 minutes the 1st time and after I explained my problem they hung up on me. On hold for 4.5 minutes the 2nd time and when I heard that I was taken off of hold, the representative hung up again. Will try email.
Ashlea Pennington: This company obviously only cares about money. $159 reconnect fee! Seriously! Turned our water off over less than $90. Completely discriminate against low income families.
Todd Rogers: Had a guy come out to shut our water off. My wife was able to catch the guy and when he said we hadn't paid our bill she was able to call in. A few months later it happened again, except my wife was not able to catch the guy. When my wife called she was asked if we were paying the bill for an address we hadn't lived at for 5 years. My wife got the address straightened out. But I was still without water for 18 hours.I went on their website to see if I could link my bill to a credit card to avoid any issues in the future. Especially since I'm not getting bills from them, since they had been sending them to an old address. Yet servicing my current address. No luck there, not an option they allow.A week later I get an email telling me this is the my final notice that they need to get in and see my meter. I never got any other notices. I called, and they person I spoke with said "well we mailed them". I asked if they used carrier pigeon or maybe they were in Harry Potter and were using an owl to send them because I never got them.If I could change water companies I would. Isn't it illegal for one company to be the only option available? Isn't that a monopoly?Regardless I'm sick of them providing zero notice and threatening to shut my water off. What's laughable is the home page of their website says they are all about customer service. Couldn't be farther from the truth. They bully their customers because they know we have no option but to just take it.
Thirugnanam Magandran: Customer service is not good as they know nothing on how to resolve the problem of what we are reporting.Bills are historical high. It is more than 200% high than what we were paying to previous water meter.
Mike Lynch: Don't believe them on shut off dates! They send a certified letter with a shut off date but then show up 2 days before and disconnect. And you get kicked out of your house for having no running water. Pure garbage.
