He even had farm fresh eggs given to him by another customer which was too much for him to eat so he gave me a dozen!He even took my vacuum with him and walked me to my car so I wouldn't have to hear it. Paul Kafalenos: James at Discount Vac fixed my vacuum quickly and cheaply. I recommend him highly.That said, do not go thinking that you will get the usual customer experience of a bigger place. When I arrived, there was an illuminated "Open" sign but the space was dark and the front door latch was stuck... so it sure seemed to me that he place was closed. I almost left but James noticed me and then let me in.He is direct and to the point, which is fine if you are expecting that... Just keep this in mind when you go.Also, pro-tip, he just wants the vacuum itself. Leave behind any attachments so that he does not have to worry about keeping track of them.

Our daughter recommended Discount Vac and after reading the reviews I took it in. Within a few hours he had replaced several parts and throughly clean, all for under $40. Carole Kaufman: Amazing! Best and fastest service anywhere. Brought in my old Dyson for a cleaning (only one ever), and it was cleaned and returned same day. All for less than $30! The vacuum is sucking so well! Wish I had them clean it earlier but glad I didn't wait any longer. James is amazing!!

Ryan Gerhard: My 65 y/o mother went here to get 3 vacuums worked on. Waited 9 months for work to be done, because a roller was on order which is fine, I suppose ( can’t tell how back ordered vacuum parts are..) , the roller never came in. then proceeded to go to the “trash pile to find it” and ended up sending her with a different vacuum than the one she sent him, saying it’s the same vacuum but he had to replace the face of the vacuum (not what she asked she just wanted the brush roller replaced). She goes to use it along with others familiar with the vacuum and no it’s not the same vacuum and the vacuum was no good. Then the other vacuum needed a new cord, well he cleaned it but did not replace the cord subsequently resulting in her plugging it in (luckily a strip so it only blew the strip) and it did not work. But the third vacuum dropped off was cleaned as asked so they’re 1 for 3. But the fact that he claimed he could fix then he couldn’t get the roller for the commercial vacuum and gave her a vacuum the was far worse than the one she brought in is not okay and in fact had her in tears after she picked them up. After repeatedly telling the person this is not the vacuum I dropped off. Quite frankly this is unacceptable and to take advantage of an older woman is just wrong. Regardless of the price, I just hope no one has to go through the hassle, helplessness, and stress that my mother did.

Mark Zero: The other day one of the prongs broke off the plug of my kenmore. I brought the vacuum into James partially disassembled and filthy. He replaced the power chord assembly with a good used one, cleaned the vacuum from head to toe (including both filters and other internal parts), and had it ready to pick up within a few hours.In the store and over the phone James was very friendly, and when it came time to settle up he charged me a reasonable price.I just used the vacuum today and it's working great. And as a bonus the exhaust doesn't stink anymore! I would definitely recommend this shop to a friend.

Mark Simpson: Call me old school but I enjoy supporting small businesses in our community and one of the best small businesses around is OK Vac. TJ is a pleasure to work with and seems to really care about his customers. We bought our Riccar vac there back in 2003, and had to take it in for service recently. After getting 16 good years out of it I would have fully understood if TJ said it was time to move on from it, but instead he fixed it and got it up and running again. Literally just a couple of days later it suddenly just died (unrelated to the first problem) and I figured it was really time to let it go and purchase a new one. But again TJ fixed it -- actually while I was there in the shop. I enjoyed watching him diagnose the problem, but even more so just hanging out and talking with him while he worked on it. He didn't even charge me for any labor, just a minimal amount for a part. VERY good experience all the way around. Not sure how much longer our aging vac will hold up, but when that day comes we will buy our new one from OK Vac. Glad to see there are still businesses like this today.
