Robert Dantzler: I had a wonderful experience at 160 driving academy. Sarah and Jessica was amazing from the start. They were very informative and flexible with my work schedule. Chris, Dave, Nick and Ms T did their best on the yard. One downfall I wish the school would look into. That is the number of students each instructor had at once. It was hard for everyone to get enough skill and drive time. Besides that I still was able to pull off a one and done. Thanks 160 academy!

Reign (IReignForever): Thank you to Everyone at St Louis. The instructors Dave, Nick, Tee, Chris are incredibly patient and helpful. The only negative was that the advertised 4 students to 1 teacher ratio was far from reality. The ability of the Instructors maintain a successful learning environment and teach in spite of this should be commended. especially Dave S. who taught me how to drive a manual (with no previous experience) and gave me the skills and confidence to obtain my CDL. All of the instructors were helpful but Dave stands out. You can tell he is truly invested in all of his students' futures.

kegan palozola: My entire experience was great. Sara and Jessica at the branch location made the start of my journey smooth and we're very informative. Chris, Dave, T and Nick gave me a world of knowledge, were very patient but also made the experience seem much easier for someone coming from no driving or manual experience. The only thing that rubbed me wrong was the description said about 4 students per instructor and that was never the case, it was always 6 or more but the team in the yard did everything they could to get us what we all needed to be successful. Would definitely recommend 160 Driving Academy to anyone.

Kyle Wilburn: I went to 160 driving academy. I have 11 convictions on my record & am on parole so this was very important to me to obtain my class A CDL to broaden my career path. Sara and Jessica were awesome! They went above and beyond expectations no matter how much I had to call them due to my own issues. My driving instructor Dave was awesome. He really takes pride in helping people learn. He was sincere and genuine. He only wants to see his students succeed. He had 9 students at one point, && he is only one instructor, that being said I think he did phenomenal with the time he had. He saw potential in me and said I was gunna pass my first time. I didn’t believe it. But I did pass first time. there Miss T, nick, Chris and Dave H. Even though they were not my instructor they went above and beyond helping me. I appreciate this school working with me tremendously. If you’re planning on going here, do it. But with that said you really have to want it. Get there early and do what you can on your own. If you have questions ask! If you don’t understand Fock what other people think ask again. And ask I gain. If you still don’t understand ask a different instructor who might be able to explain it differently. This school gives you all the tools you need. You just have to put in the work. Dave H told me my shifting and clutching was a little slow. He told me to go home stick a plunger on the floor use a tissue roll as my clutch to practice shifting and down shifting So guess what even though I felt dumb I did it. And I passed. It seriously depends on what you put into this program. Use your time wisely. Again Thankyou 160!!! I will recommend you

Starfire Quinn: Fantastic experience. Sarah(If she wasn't married, laaawd 😩🙌🏾) and Jessica are very helpful and SPOT ON. No matter what happens or what you need they are on it. The classroom was clean, quiet and we had everything we needed. Add Breakfast and that place would be PERFECT lol.The yard training crew were great. Don't expect to be babied and have your hand held. This is a fast paced training course and if you have the willingness to listen and put the effort into learning they will teach the fundamentals to be successful on the road.Definitely need more instructors but besides that Nick, Tee, Dave, OG Dave, and Chris did an incredible job for what they have. Very helpful Caring professional individuals who wants to see their students succeed I felt the love of a proud mother from both these two I also wanna thank Dave S. My instructor for being an awesome teacher coach and a father to me because that’s what it felt like. DAVE showed me great maneuvers such as the parallel offset and Alley Dock. Dave pushed us to the limit such as completing maneuvers on both sides with 15 minutes which sharpened our skill a hole lot. In fact I got know points on my maneuvers str8 back offset and paralleled parking when it came time for testing. These people are amazing. The staff really are great and take the time to make sure your ready to pass the exam. 4weeks come go, Make sure your on time and really focused and you'll be ready to pass the exam. I love all the staff, Jessica(admin), the instructors Chad, Eli were my instructors and they were Hilariously great. Even the "Yard Captain" (lol) NATE was helpful and made sure I was prepped for the exam. Best money I've spent to get my cdl (previously had my class B). I would go back again if didn't have my Class A from them. Thank you 160, it was a fun learning experience.,

The director Joe goes above and beyond for all of his students. The training yard was a great experience. If you apply yourself, You will not feel/be unprepared; There is an abundance of knowledge/wisdom to pull from all the instructors to apply to both obtaining your CDL and conquering adversities in life. Furthermore, I didn’t meet any instructors that did not have a genuine passion for their craft. Long story short, If you fail at this school, especially with the abundance of resources, it will be on you (work ethics)! If your reason “why” is strong enough, you will make it happen regardless of the hurdles you may encounter during your journey at MTC. I completed training within four weeks and passed both the written and driving portion of CDL exam on my first attempt using only the resources provided at the school. Betty Bishop: The teacher/student ratio is not sufficient. When you have reached 160 hrs they are done with you, they don't care if you pass or fail. Students do not get the legally required drive time training. They teach you to pass a test not drive. Go to YouTube and watch other reviews, horrible place to get educated.

Lynette James: Graduated April 12th 2023. Started off with 2 trainers but unfortunately one quit towards my last week. Chuck is a great instructor and did a great job working by himself under short notice. He might yell at you sometimes but that’s only if you’re messing up. I was the only women in my class and still felt very comfortable. I would recommend this school. Thanks Chuck and the ladies in the office as well.

Nathan Cormier: Graduated in May of 2022. Chuck was a straight talking teacher. Always willing to answer questions and was very knowledgeable.Leslie more reserved/less outgoing during my training. She always made sure when a mistake was made it was pointed out and corrected.The trainers overall may seem a bit strict, but when you think about it, you are driving a 40 ton machine at 65mph or faster down the road. You can kill someone. Safety was there goal only second to making sure you could pass the CDL test.Been driving a truck since July 2022. Enjoying my job!

A O: Please stay far away from this school especially if you're paying out of your own money! I applied back in April to go the Joliet location( its run by the same people in Granite City IL). I only attended one day, because it turned out they did not have manual trucks only automatics which wasnt going to workout for me. The instructor told me I had 3 days to ask for my money back no questions asked, which is what I did. My recruiter told me it was going to take 30 days for the money to go back into my back account a total of $5,592.34. Well till this day that Im writing this review I have not received a dime back . I call and they wont answer phone calls or emails. Its seems like they want to steal your money its been a total nightmare!!!

Milon Murphy: JUST DO IT! If you're someone who's been putting off getting your license for any reason please do yourself a favor and book with this company. I've put off getting my license for almost 10 years (M25) because of high anxiety and a lack of confidence. Not only did every single coach take time to explain detail of driving but they make you feel comfortable and confident. Three classes was all it took for me to pass and the price for each class is reasonable for how high quality the lessons are. Shout out to Coach Williams and Coach Ken!

Nicholas Rao: I put off getting my license, since I grew up in heavily pedestrian cities, so I was a bit of an old student (27). When I first booked a lesson with Coach Williams, the prospect of finally getting a license was daunting. But he and the small community of staff who coached me were incredibly professional, personable, and reassuring. They not only prepared me efficiently and perfectly for the test; they encouraged me to trust my intuition, so I knew exactly when I was ready and didn't procrastinate. They set up the road test for me and gave me plenty of time to practice the day of (which helped settle my nerves). Safedrivers was not my first driver's ed experience, but it was by far the best. I cannot recommend them highly enough. Thumbs up!

J Z: Professional instructors (Gary & Ken) and helpful lessons! Passed my drivers exam with a perfect score after taking three lessons, and that’s after failing twice before booking appointments with Safedrivers! For beginners, I recommend at least 2-4 lessons and intermediate, start with 1. Really ask questions about everything regarding tips on the driving test and what you need to work on because they are more than happy to help you. Don’t be afraid to tell the instructors what skills you need to build on so they can help you improve them. You don’t need to take many lessons since they mostly teach you the same skills, but you do need to absorb what the instructors tell you and consistently work on them after each lessons.Overall, I am satisfied with the service. However, I hope the price doesn’t rise too much further down the line so everyone can prepare for the drivers exam at an affordable price.

Nicole Jones: Best Driving school out here! Ronnie worked hard with me and didnt give up on me! I hd a really bad car accident and was scarred for life but coming here changed that. I no longer have anxiety when it comes to driving and I am so thankful for ronnie and his team! I now have my license and can live my life without waiting on others to do for me! Amazing drivers school! My daughter will be going here when its time for her to drive and shes 3 !!!!!

Venkat K: I registered for 3 classes (each class is 2hours in seat) on Oct 31st, Nov 1st amd Nov 2nd. Williams picked me from my home and went to Hazzlewood area (nearest dmv from my home) there I drove the car for 2hrs and he gave tips and instructions. On the second day, we went to Hazzlewood again and did parallel parking and standard driving instructions for first 1hour and later I gave driving exam with the same car. I did very well and passed the test on my second class. Literally I took only 3hrs of practice and gave exam on 4th hour (2nd class). He has instructor base voice so you feel like real examiner training you. And I got refund for the 3rd class (Nov3rd). William is truly professional and not want to waste your money. Based on your driving he will tell you how many sessions would require.

L: Zero stars if I could. My driving instructor, Ms. Nicole Johnson was extremely rude, impatient, and even physically aggressive. I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone. I can’t speak for any other instructor(s), but I imagine they’re just as bad if they’re allowing people like her to teach. All I gained from this experience was stress, and increased drivers anxiety. Any mistake I made resulted in her yelling or thrashing out on me. Not a friendly or comfortable atmosphere in the slightest. The car itself was dirty and smelled like cigarettes. Waste of my money and time.

Mr. Williams the driving instructor asked me if I was single.I should have reported him for harassment.The car was filled with garbage and he made me stop at Q-Tip so he could go to the bathroom. I paid for two hours but only have about an hour and 15 minutes of driving time.As a woman you aren’t safe. Mr. Williams was yelling at me throughout the drive so that he could “prepare me” for life on the road.Creep!

Leah Williams: Honestly I feel I wasted money for the first two classes I purchased and I believe that was with Rico or Mr. Williams, he was judging my driving leaving negative comments, and he pretty much was on his phone the entire time and made me pull over to watch YouTube videos about driving. I would’ve gave it five stars if I could’ve had Mr. Fred for all of my lessons he really has a lot of patience and is good at teaching what you need to know as they do prepare you to learn the route of the road test. I really recommend to request Mr. Fred as your driving instructor as he will make sure that your actually understanding how to properly turn the wheel and other things needed to know for driving, he did end up telling me that I only needed one more lesson of driving and then to book one for my test, unfortunately I didn’t complete with the school as I have been driving my grandfather’s car to practice in, and I will be taking the test this upcoming Monday or Tuesday. No one keeps up with the progress of your driving you pretty much have to remember what you learned and inform your instructor if you end up with a different one about what you learned with the previous instructor. I just didn’t want to waste anymore money YouTube videos were free and I learned all I needed to know and I feel extremely confident when driving now.

Zhihao Yuan: I spent about $600 to learn driving with them in 2020, and decided not to proceed. Here is my experience:1. I'm assigned different coach every lesson; nobody keep track of your progress.2. I'm assigned, very, different cars every lesson. I had to get familiar with them every lesson. What is muscle memory?3. One of the car is in bad condition and unbalanced sensitive between accelerator and break. After being assigned this car 2nd times, I complained to a coach who runs this location. He laughed at me and claimed that's my problem. At this point I decided to leave.

It took me approximately 10 hours (have known literally nothing about driving before ; without any practice after behind-wheel training hours with them) to pass the test.They supported me to get the road test on time and I highly recommend you guys to use their services if you are looking for a reliable driving school.

Chelsea R: I would not recommend. As soon as my lessons started my instructor took a phone call. He then says into the phone, “let me go because I’m teaching a lesson and she’s acting like she doesn’t know how to drive.” Like????Also, the instructor made me uncomfortable. He asked me personal questions like, did I go to college, what was my degree in, my RELATIONSHIP STATUS, etc.I do need more directing practice but will go with another company for future lessons.You do get to practice driving over the city and the instructor gave me some helpful tips regarding hand positioning.I also paid fort a two hour lesson but when my driving picked me up he said it was only for an hour and a half.

Melody Post: At first I was a bit iffy because I felt that the rates are high but I decided to check it out anyway. I booked 2 days and by the second, I had my license! Although I had prior experience driving, he (Coach Williams) corrected my turns, the way I use my blinkers and my parking. He was extremely professional and made me comfortable. After the first day, him and his trainee felt that i was ready to take my test. Thats when I learn that the rates are incredible, its amazing training. The second day, I get a call from the coach letting me know that he's outside, absolutely filled with energy. After about 30 to 40 minutes of practice, we go to the testing site and there I take the test. I was a bit nervous because I did fail twice (this was before receiving the training). I passed with a 94! I couldn't be more happier and satisfied with the services. I 1000% recommend.

Coach Williams was amazing and very funny! He made sure I was very prepared. I could’ve taken the test after lesson 2 but I have anxiety when driving so I took more to make sure I was okay to drive alone.I truly recommend them because they do a great job at teaching people how to drive safely.

Shi: All this time I thought I posted my review but I guess It never posted! I had the most crazy anxiety about driving and i decided it was time to buckle down and get my license at 22. I took about 6-7 lessons with these gentlemen and they couldn’t be more kind, respectful, and supportive with teaching people of any age to drive! I remember the day of my driving test with Safe Drivers and the local DMV was full so my first lesson on driving on the Highway was that same day while on my way to take my test with Mr. Williams (i think that was him) I was clutching the wheel so hard and he could sense how nervous i was and told me to relax and to just maintain the speed limit. Once we got to the DMV I passed with a 94/100!!!! On my FIRST TRY!! WooHoo! I didnt do too well with my parallel parking but i plan to tighten up on that! I know my review is nearly a year late (i really thought i posted it!! Ugh) But the instructors here do not judge and give it to you straight because they genuinely want the best for you! I’ll be booking at least 2 more refreshers courses because ever since i got My license (4/21) i had to save for a car and that time has come!No matter your age Safe Drivers is affordable, reliable, and supportive to all learning drivers!! 5 STARS!!!

Shweta Tendulkar: Ilango is an amazing teacher, especially because he teaches the logic behind every driving task. It took him around 5 lessons to cover the required tasks for the road test. Besides the road test, he also makes you ready for driving on a day-to-day basis. He makes sure that he is elaborate with his explanations, gives sufficient time for teaching things you are weak at and has a lot of patience which is a must for a teacher. I had some driving experience from back in India but it is different to drive here in the US. I would recommend his driving school if you are completely new at driving or even need some training for brushing up your skills.

The practice test was spot. Our son said he wouldn't have been able to do it without it. On test day they practiced before going in to test which reduced a lot of his anxiety. They also had an appointment set up so we were able to test quickly without the long wait. They held our hands through the entire process and answered any questions we had and our son scored a 97! Great job guys and would highly recommend to anyone!

Betsy Licker: Coach Harder Driving School was recommended to us by a friend. Our son had already been driving with us for awhile, but we decided to invest in formal instruction to insure we covered all the bases. We registered for one lesson with the intention of signing up for future lessons as needed. The company explained that the multiple lesson discount would still apply, even if we did not purchase multiple lessons up front, but rather determined need on a lesson by lesson basis. The driving instructor was on time, helpful, patient and professional. After completion of one lesson, the instructor felt that our son was ready to take the driver license test. Our son passed the drivers exam on the first attempt. After his exam, he explained to us how the tips he received during his driving lesson helped him with the test. My son needed some confidence and the various coaches that met with him were great at encouraging him and working with him on the skills that were hard for him. It was also so convenient that they had someone waiting in line for us so that my son was able to take his test quickly that morning. It was all over and done by 8:45am. In Sri Lanka it is right hand side driving and I thought it will be a hard task for me to learn to drive from left hand side.I called and checked many places in St. Louis area but no one was friendly enough for me to proceed. But fortunately I found Coach Harder driving school and the first impression was very good. I felt their friendly environment from the very first call.I started my learning lessons with Coach Harder, and they made sure to allocate Coach Steve Lee for my lessons. Coach Lee was one of the best coaches that I've ever seen and I was able to improve my skills within a short time of period in a very FRIENDLY manner.I completed their 10hour course. I did not want to worry about the DMV appointments and etc, since Coach Harder did all that stuff for me.During my test day, I was able to meet Mr. Harder and he brushed up my skills just before starting the test as well. Jason Williams: One of the easiest recommendations there is to make. With so many school districts no longer offering driver's education to students, the costs of hiring this professional firm is money well spent when compared to the repair and insurance costs of even a single accident. We did the All-Star Plus package with four lessons and one practice exam and my son passed the test the very first time.

Telisya Hill: Two words "Don't Go". A total waist of time and money. Very very unprofessional and unorganized. The instructors never show up and when they did, the instructions were to watch YOU TUBE. Classes were often cancelled with little or no notice. I wanted to support a black owned business however this was the biggest disappointment I've ever seen. There are several bad reviews but they keep taking them down.The only reason they get 1 STAR because it doesn't allow you to put 0 Stars.
