The London Tea Room: what do users think?

Karen Sage: Just a phenomenal experience - our server was so informed and pleasant and spent lots of time with us talking about the different teas - we elected to let her choose for us and each choice was excellent - highly recommendKid-friendliness: Lovely to see so many moms with their little ladies
DL Thomas: Food: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Atmosphere: 5/5Recommended dishes Pastries, Filled Croissants, Cucumber Sandwiches Chicken Salad on Croissant Scones DessertsMore
L Campbell: This was my first experience at the new location, and I was disappointed. Even though I had a reservation, it took almost an hour for our table of two to be served our tray. Other groups were seated after us and were served right away. When the tray did arrive, our server just dropped it and left without describing the items. The savoury items were phenomenal, but the sweet items were actually terrible. So bad, in fact, that I would recommend just getting the high tea (which is all savoury) and buying yourself a treat on the way home.
Bethany Spitzmiller: I debated between 3 or 4 or 5 stars for this review. If I'm being completely honest, the special event we went to wasn't really worth the additional cost. We went to the special Mother's Day afternoon tea event, and I think the standard afternoon tea downstairs would have been better. The food was a fun experience and the tea was some of the best I've had, but a glass of champagne and a string trio that played less than half the time we were there wasn't worth the additional cost that bumped the price up to $100 a ticket. I appreciated that mothers also received a small bag of tea, but I really think it's wrong to charge the same price for every ticket and only include that add on for mothers, especially since not all women can have children and men were guests too. If you only want to give an item to a certain group, it would be better to have it as an add-on item for the ticket rather than going around the room picking certain people to get them. Especially for Mother's day, when a lot of moms say "Oh, you can have mine," when they see someone else is going without. Service/atmosphere also brought down my rating. The musicians weren't great. They seemed to have long breaks, one literally yawned like they were SO bored at least four times, and they seemed to skip quite a few measures in certain songs and were very repetitive in the songs they did play. My mom saw one server drinking champagne in the back. The order people were served didn't match the order they sat down, and there seemed to be some confusion with seating. That felt a little disorganized. Also the chairs were very uncomfortable, hard wood, not great. I'd visit again to try the standard experience, but I don't think I'd book another special event without some changes.
Gina Slovacek: Such a great place for lunch and amazing looseleaf teas w great flavors.Food: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Atmosphere: 5/5 …More
jenna Fisher: Lovely place to have a special afternoon tea! The vegan menu was great!Vegetarian options: The bottom plate on my afternoon tea was a tomato hummus sandwich, a bowl of chickpea salad and a tiny avocado toast with balsamic vinegar. Then a scone w jam and 4 deserts that were lovely.
Kim Crowell: It was fantasticFood: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Atmosphere: 5/5Recommended dishes Currant Scone with Cream and Jam, Waldorf Chicken Salad Sandwich, Cucumber Sandwiches Chicken Salad on Croissant Scones Desserts …More
andrew jones: An amazing selection of tea and pastries, sweet and savory. Generous portions, and a slow relaxed meal. The staff were amazing. You can't visit St.L and not visit this place.
Carl Mitchell: Food: 4/5|Service: 4/5|Atmosphere: 4/5More
Karyn Vilbig: Great atmosphere, great tea, great food, great service. Excellent for a celebration, a friend date or a date date. Will definitely be coming back.
James Dancho: Walked in to the new location for the first time. We arrived 43 minutes before they close. Not looking to sit in, just grab something to go. Not food, just tea. Immediately, before we uttered a word, the host, told us no dine in service 45 minutes before they close. We told her, we just wanted tea to go. She informed us no to go service either. My wife was also interested in buying merchandise, but maybe the could not ring things out 43 minutes before they close too. Pretty poor customer service. My wife has been to the old location an innumerable amount of times. Recommended folks to this business. Bought gifts from here. This should be made aware to management or, at the very least, notate it on your website. Though I find it hard to believe this is the actual case.
Lisa Moll: I enjoyed high tea at the London Tea Room on a busy Saturday. There are only two menu options: high tea and afternoon tea. I chose high tea for its savory selections. My friend chose afternoon tea, which has many sweet offerings and costs a bit more. The hot teas were outstanding, and all of the items were tasty. The acoustics make it noisy, and conversation can be difficult. It's located in the city, not far from the City Museum. We felt safe going there on a Saturday morning.

kiersten schellhammer: So far I have been here twice and the experience both times has been great! The staff is wonderful and knowledgeable, the tea is just excellent quality, the seasonal blends are delightful, and the food is complemented wonderfully by the teas!Vegetarian options: My friend is vegetarian and they had different options each time. She particularly liked the chickpea salad on a croissant.Dietary restrictions: They have vegetarian and vegan options.
Paula Chor: Excellent new venue. Service, atmosphere and food are outstanding. Love the selection of teas...always hit the retail store.Vegetarian options: Available
Jules King-Aia: Second time I've come in to grab scones and clotted cream to take to my British mother, and third time they've been out of everything except tea. (Once at 11am, once at 2pm.) They were very kind, and the new location is certainly posh, but if you run out of stock early on a specific day, maybe the kitchen needs better management/planning.
Juliana Nine: This place is absolutely enchanting! It's like visiting England without having to pay for the plane ticket! The food is great and the tea is AH-MAZ-ING!!! Highly recommend and I will be back!Food: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Atmosphere: 5/5Recommended dishes Currant Scone with Cream and Jam, Cucumber Sandwiches Chicken Salad on Croissant Scones Desserts …More
Nikole: I'm a long term fan of the London tea room, I went to the old location many times and always reccomended it to friends so it's very disheartening to have to write this review. Our reservation for two people was at 1pm on a Saturday. We arrived at 12:50 and joined the long line of several parties who were waiting on the MIA hostess. Once she showed up it was relatively fast to seat all the waiting parties. We sat down at about 1:05 but didn't get any food until 2:40pm.Yes, we didn't get served food for an hour and thirty five minutes after sitting down. Our last dessert came at 3pm and we didn't finish our second pot of tea because at 3:30 we had been there too long and just wanted to leave. Our server was amazing and this in no way his fault. He was amazing. For a place with three dining rooms I could only count 4 servers who were running between the rooms. This was absolutely a management problem and it's very disappointing to see. I hope whatever is happening back of house to result in so few servers is fixed because I would hate to see this be the new norm for a once great place to visit.
Renae Cole: Nice place but not wowed by the food. Scones were more like biscuits and overdone. Nice tea selection. Nice presentation. But not worth the nearly $100 we spent for 2 people. I won't b backFood: 3/5|Service: 3/5|Atmosphere: 4/5Recommended dishes Cucumber Sandwiches Chicken Salad on Croissant Scones Desserts …More

St Louis Bubble Tea: what do users think?
Sushma Chagarlamudi (sushma): Food: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Atmosphere: 5/5Recommended dishes OreoMore
LuvMsLisa: Josh had Brown sugar milk tea, Gail had Taro milk tea and I had Oreo cocoa slush and they all were delicious, both teas had the Bobo’s which are little flavored bubbles but my slush didn’t. The bobo’s are different but I didn’t have to have them. The atmosphere was great, they served food but we only came in for the drinks.Service: 5/5|Atmosphere: 5/5 …More
Toppsgilby: This is not Stl Bubble Tea anymore. The name has changed and so has the food. It was nowhere near StL Bubble Tea. It is now HiTea or something of that nature.
Nicole Walker: My daughter really enjoyed her Boba and the pineapple strawberry slush was really good.
Cole Basham: 👍👍👍👍👍
Ashley Lumpkin: The cleanliness of this place was concerning.
Emily Baumann: White peach jasmine tea.Get it unsweetened because it's plenty sweet. Yummmm! They have a different (and much smaller) menu here than at their Creve Coeur location but there are still plenty of options.
melena hammond: i love the boba here but we literally just saw roaches back in the seating area. i don’t even want the boba anymore 🤮🤮
GnØ βØdι: My kids like the teas but the food used to be better. It's still perfectly fine. Just not as good.
Lauren Wenger: This place uses all non-dairy milks to make the bubble tea.Dietary restrictions: The tea here is dairy-free, vegetarian, vegan. Or at least I'm 80% sure it's vegan.Food: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Atmosphere: 5/5 …More
Christian Gin: Can only speak for the Boba being solid.
Reagan Glenn: I used to work here and the food and drinks were great, but there was mold growing in the blenders, cockroaches in the cabinets, and the manager has some serious anger issues and appeared aggressive with his wife and children several times over my employment. Hopefully changes are made, but be aware of potential health concerns
Monikki Williams: This bubble tea must be under new management. The spicy chicken Thai fried rice was horrible. The cashier had no idea what SOY sauce was...she kept giving me sweet and sour sauce. And to top it off hair was in my peach slush and I swear I didn't notice until I made it home ...yes I puked.
Dilan Herath: Boba tasted great! I had a red guava jasmine tea with boba, grass jelly, lychee jelly, and no ice. With no ice, they fill the drink to the top still!Service was ok. Cashier was whispering and no one could understand her during the time I was there.I would definitely go back here, and I recommend this place if you're in the area.Vegetarian options: Boba is vegetarian.Kid-friendliness: Family safe area.Parking: Huge parking lot out back.Wheelchair accessibility: Ground level access.Dietary restrictions: Vegetarian drinks.
Daveyana Harding: chicken was good but the piece was bloody on the inside and boba was excellent
Chris D. Smith: The green apple slush tasted good
Andrew Hall: The Jasmine White Peach Tea was amazing.
Lilian Dodenhoff: Ordered a wonderful frozen Taro today. Loved it. Kind staff.
Paul Hodges: My family likes boba, so we try places. This place was fun.Parking on the street can be brutal, and directions might be less clear than you hope - if using Google, try streetview to get a look before you go.My kids both got a tea that had "crystal" boba, which were basically gummies they didn't enjoy. YMMV.I got a brown sugar milk tea with traditional black tapioca pearls, and it was *perfect*. We ordered food as well, and I drank the whole tea in the minutes we waited. There is a kitchen in the back, and the wiwxasfe got some great spring rolls. We got a lovely, tasty bento box, and I noticed a *pineapple* rice I had to try. It was quite sweet, and though I liked it and ate most of that the next day, it won't be for everyone.
