Brandon Gates: I've been going to them for routine maintenance for a while now. The last time I got my tires rotated, a few days later my hub cap comes off while I was driving. When I call to get it replaced they refused and said I'd have to pay for it myself. Also, the guy in the service department was so rude. I wasn't even angry at them because we're all human and it was just a mistake. I've been going there ever since I moved to St. Louis but if this how they do business when dealing with a loyal customer, I think I'll find another place to have my car serviced.

Richard Stack: After a lot of searching and discussion with local, semi-local and major market Toyota dealers we were fortunate to find Ackerman Toyota and specifically Ryan O'Leary, our Sales person. From the very first communication Ryan was positive that they would be able to secure the Tacoma that we were looking for. We built the Tacoma on the Toyota website and emailed Ryan the build. He transcribed the build to a Buyers Order and we put down a deposit. He advised it would be 1.5 - 3 months to hear back from Toyota. Approximately 2.5 months later Ryan informed us Toyota was making a production run of the truck that we were ordering. Three days later Ryan notified us his Manager was able to secure the truck and advised us a estimated build date. He even sent us a copy of the window sticker. Ryan advised us when the truck was waiting to be loaded on a train and when the status changed to "in final transit to dealership" The point of this long story is that Ryan is a very professional communicator. He answers all questions on a timely basis and does not tire of questions. Without a doubt he is the top Salesperson we have ever dealt with. I called to ask about a key fob I was supposed to be getting 2 months ago and he was getting very defensive when he felt like he was being criticized. Gave me constructive feedback about them “not having the key fobs yet” when I only wanted to know when I will be receiving it. very unprofessional. Never was willing to address the situation in a respectful manner way.

Victor Pirsoul: Pretty good buying experience here. Ray Trout was the salesperson I worked with. No complaints there. However, the finance manager wasn’t as good of an experience as he lied about what was included on the extended warranty and he charged me a $6 fee that I did not agree to when I negotiated the price with Ray. Also, and this is why they’ve lost my business, the service department is abysmal. They do not stand behind the work they perform despite the fact that an authorized Toyota technician installed a genuine Toyota part on my new vehicle (which is supposed to be guaranteed for 12 months and it’s only been 4 months). In my honest opinion, the “Ackerman for life” warranty isn’t worth the paper it’s printed on. Ackerman also offers one free oil change per year for the life of the vehicle but I don’t know if I can trust their service department after my initial experience. Ok to buy here but I would not recommend their service department.
Rachel Blow: EDIT 4/19/23: Ryan has reached out to explain that he does not in fact receive commission by selling the protecting coating add-on -- he just thinks it is a great option and that's why he encourages his customers to purchase it. I misinterpreted the interaction and I was not fair to him in my original review. He is very dedicated to customer satisfaction and was always reachable/responsive during the whole process. All in all, he sold me a fantastic car (at MSRP) that I absolutely love.__________________________Bought a car here a few months ago. Salesman (think his name was Ryan) was super pushy trying to get me to add a bunch of unnecessary things to the car, like a ridiculously overpriced paint coating or something. He even tried to go above my head and tell my dad to convince me to purchase these unnecessary add-ons…which definitely crosses the line. He must get a big commission check if he pushes this stuff. They also put an ugly decal on my car without my permission. Find some other way to advertise and leave me out of it!

Jen: I originally had AAA check my car when it wouldn't start this morning. They started it and said it wasn't the battery as I had thought, but probably the starter, and recommended taking it in for service. Lou Fusz was able to schedule an appointment right away, and the mechanic confirmed that it was the starter. Luckily they had the part in stock so they were able to replace my old starter today too. It only took an hour. The attendant was very friendly and knowledgeable, and I'm very happy with the quick, efficient service. The car starts much more smoothly now - I'm so glad I brought it in! I've always have good service at Lou Fusz.
Theresa Albers: Used salesmen and his manager refused to return calls. I could name names but I won't. I called the General Manager and was told they dropped the price and sold it. The day before we asked for price to be dropped since the car had been damaged and poorly painted even though Carfacts said no but oh no. They could have called us and offered us the car but nope. There's even more to gripe about but I think not returning phone calls says it all.

Keith Mosier: I recently took my 2006 Corolla in for an exhaust replacement and there was a lack of communication regarding the ordering of parts. I was not told that the parts were on indefinite back order, resulting in confusion on both my part and the part of the service department. Once we actually realized what was going on, I was more than a little upset. I dealt with Mindy in the service department, and she couldn't have been more polite or professional. She was able to get the repair done for me in a timely manner at a different garage and arranged for a refund of the parts that never showed up at Lou Fusz. She kept me informed throughout the process and was consistently courteous and very professional. She did a wonderful job, and kept me as a loyal Toyota customer.

Matthew Lützen: Be aware that this dealership adds a “market adjustment” to cars to “mitigate the number of deposits they get.” Basically you’re going to overpay on the car so you can get it faster. They’re are other dealerships in the area that do not add 4k to the sticker price just because they can. Also if you’re young, expect to be spoken to like a child. The front desk was very very nice though!

rahb won: During my test drive for the car I purchased, was freon in it. I purchased the car because I really wanted a Mazda 3 hatchback. The ac worked we tested it during the test drive. After getting the car home and it is now hot. The evap core is shot. 2k part. That's just the beginning, the entire dashboard has to come off to replace it. I called to ask if they would even help me at all, was sent to voice mail that was never returned. Will never ever buy a car from here again. Trash. One of the speakers were blown. Do not go here for anything...

Dave was awesome and patient would reply to all my texts, kept me informed of where the car was in the manufacturing process, and when came time to picking it up went over every feature. Then came the finance time, (was dreading that) Amy was amazing discussed every option from who to finance through to all different packages, she put up with all my questions with a smile and would ask over and over is there any other questions I would like more details on. MIKE CROSS to be exact, totally unprofessional, unmannered man. While trying to get wire instructions to finalize purchase at Navy Fed even the representative from Navy Fed notice how rude he was. It was like he didnt wanted to provide or assist in anyway with wire instructions. I would definitely avoid dealing with this guy. Hope other dont run into such unpleasant way of conducting business.

We told them what the problem was, but they still charged us a $190 "diagnostic fee" to repeat to us EXACTLY what we had told them the problem was. When I got the car back, the "maintenance required" light was still on. I had to turn the car around to bring it back and point it out to them. They said their technician had missed that the oil needs to be changed which would be an additional fee. Cool. So to clarify, I paid $190 for nothing and the technician wasn't even thorough enough to make sure there were no lights on my dash because saying my car was ready to be picked up?

We asked for Quinn Gilliam to be our salesperson because he had helped us when we bought our previous car and did a great job. We had hoped to get a new van, but were told it could take a year or more. Quinn showed us a used 2022 van with only 22,000 miles. After test driving it, we decided to buy it. Everyone at Seeger Toyota was very helpful in completing the process. We have bought several cars at Seeger Toyota and will continue to do so because of their great service.

I went in for a state inspection and his Tire Specialist Rob Andres offered me an amazing deal on an awesome set of rims and tires. No pressure just a simple offer with plenty of information. I just got finished with dealer provided maintenance and they were timely and not even a hint of any type of upsell. The little cafe' is terrific and such a smart idea. Renata Stinebrook: I just left Jay Wolfe service department upset for the second time. I was told when I called that I had another oil change under my warranty. When I arrived, one of the employees told me that I did not have an oil change and only a tire rotation. I just had my tires changed so I didn’t need a tire rotation. He told me that I should have gotten an oil change done 5,000 miles ago BUT I was there at their service department in December and they refused to do an oil change at that time too! Looks like they don’t want the warranty that they offered to be actually used. Never again will I buy a car or get my car serviced from Jay Wolfe nor recommend it to friends and family.

Drona Thakkar: Come here for oil changes on my 2018 F-150. They have a nice/clean waiting area for customers and a lil bistro. I made an appointment for 3 PM and was here by 2.55 PM. It’s 4.24 PM now and I’m still in the waiting room. It’ll be great if they bump up the speed and lower down the customer wait time for basic service.
Zane Allen: I wanted to like this place, I really did. From the start I should have been weary. I was LITERALLY the easiest customer ever. I purchased a car from them out of state and just sent them a check for the car, didn’t haggle on the price or anything. Fast forward to when I actually picked the car up, not including any of the issues I had actually had between the point of purchase and delivery, it was filthy when I got in it, interior was full of dog hair, etc. The night I got the car home and put it in the garage, it leaked all of the coolant out on to my garage floor. I went to move it outside to clean the nasty dog hair out of it and noticed a huge puddle of coolant. I reached out to them and let them know I was pretty bummed and disappointed and all I was told was that the car was sold “as is” and they werent willing to do anything. I wasn’t expecting them to drive to Kansas and personally look at the car but it would have been nice if they could have offered to pay to at least have it LOOKED at, at one of the many places here. Instead I was snidely told I could drive it to St. Louis to have their mechanic look at it, as if that was helpful at all. It seems the Jay Wolfe dealership specifically in Ballwin is good at making people upset according to their reports on the better business bureau. Whether was the car was sold “as is” or not, having an issue with a car before it even leaves your garage for the first time is pretty unacceptable and if they had good customer service they would have offered to help in some way. I’m disappointed to say the least and will tell people to shop elsewhere.

From the moment I walked in her didn’t even acknowledge my presence despite there not being any other customers present. I had a service notification on the dash and I assumed I was due for an oil change which is what I scheduled the appt for. After finally acknowledging me and typing my information I find out I was actually due for a different type of service and instead of him politely explaining that due to the type of oil in my car I don’t need oils changes as frequently he just kept rudely trying to get me to have other services done that I had gotten done elsewhere 3 days ago. He then got sarcastic with me and asked me to go look at my owners manual. I literally had to ask him to remove the maintenance notification from my car. I drove all the way from downtown STL for terrible customer service. As a woman and a woman of color at that auto shops can be a very intimidating space and I look for inclusive spaces that make me feel valued as a customer and this was not it. I’ll stick with Ackerman and Bommarito from now on!UPDATE: Scot reached out to me promptly after he received my review. I appreciated his professionalism and his empathy. He was truly apologetic and offered to make things right. It wasn't about the customer "being right" but he really wanted to identify how to help this employee improve based on the feedback I gave. He's definitely the right man for leading this department. I still will not be back but I definitely appreciate when someone goes the extra mile.
Larry Thanos, Jr.: I would’ve given five stars, except for the fact they keep advertising that they have “Jay’s Bistro” on site. Don’t let the word “Bistro” fool you. The Bistro is a large room with seating and televisions where you can get a cup of coffee or water. There’s no vending machines, there’s no food, nothing like you would see in a Bistro, for sure. The nearby Lou Fusz Toyota has big coolers with Eskimo pies and Popsicles, FYI.(EDIT: I was there several hours, and although I kept a close eye on the situation, I didn't see anyone preparing pizzas, making popcorn or breakfast sandwiches or serving sodas. The place was empty except for a few customers. There was a little basket of vending-machine-style snacks, but it was behind the counter, and situated behind a sign which said the back-counter area was for employees only. I assumed the sign was there to keep customers out and obeyed it as I quietly starved waiting for my car.)
Vicki Ferris: The service manager reviewed my tire situation on the 4 runner since the day of purchase and took it upon himself to contact me and is replacing the tire. I appreciate that he did this and that he cares about his customer's opinions.
jim shippee: I was on a cross country road trip and experienced car trouble in my '20 CRV as I passed through Missouri. I quickly searched the nearest Toyota dealership and called to see if I could come by asap. Not only did they say yes, but Service Advisor Andrew Duncan went above and beyond helping me. He saw that I needed to get back on the road asap and quickly pushed my car through the works to figure out the issue and resolve it. I cannot speak highly enough about the professionalism and kindness I received from Andrew and Jay Wolfe. 10 STARS!

James Furey: We decided to go with a used vehicle and we found one we liked at Newbold Toyota, so we bought a 2016 Honda Pilot from the dealership on March 9th. It came with a short term warranty from this dealership. Since it was a used car we also decided to get the extended warranty. Well, on March 30th, the check engine light came on, guess what warranties do not include catalytic converters. I called the dealership, probably a mistake I much prefer to do things like this in person, well I talked to them and Steve Newbold, told his used car manager they would cover 25% of the costs, I didn't want something for nothing. I thought splitting the cost would be fair. Not at all what I wanted but it was something. Found out what our portion would be, and then found that a local shop could do it for like $500 less than Newbold's "discounted" price even with what I thought would have been fair puts Newbold Toyota in the ballpark of what the local shop would do it for. Needless to say they aren't getting the repair business, nor will they get any of my business. How do I know they didn't clear the code to sell the car. They have been in business for a long time but.... I would be leery of ever buying a used vehicle from them again.

They bring the stick out to you with a "one-in-a-million" story that it was stuck in your wife's undercarriage and that the warranty is now void. They give the stick for you to keep. Sound familiar? Does it smell fishy? On top of all this, they did not honor the Toyota care package up to the 25k miles of service and maintenance. Charged me $190 for an oil change that should have been free.
