In fact, one fish they did has lasted 40+ years and still looks great.Recently, we asked if it might be possible to "fix" a fish that had been mounted elsewhere 30 years ago. The skin had completely deteriorated and the fins had broken. Again, the original mount was not done by Schwarz, we asked them to repair another shop's work.Frank went through all of the options with us and asked if he could give it a shot to paint the old fish. See for yourself the before and after. It is simply amazing.Best of all, this work was done for my father who is in his 80s, and this repair has brought him unbelievable pride and joy during a period of time and life when joy is a bit lacking. His trophy bass are one his major life achievements (this is a 9.6 lb Missouri Hall of Fame bass from 1986!) and now he is assured that his legacy will live on when he passes them down to his grandson.Frank, thank you. We are in awe of your talent and it was a pleasure working with you. Thank you also for fitting this project in during the busy deer season and returning the fish promptly, knowing that mattered to my dad. You have made an old man and his daughters very, very pleased. He thinks his fish is "just beautiful" and he's grinning ear to ear showing it off once again.

Prices are very reasonable and cheaper than most, if not all, local shops. Don't let that fool you though. You will be more than happy with your mount. I have had 3 deer, 6 fish, a raccoon, and a bobcat mounted by Mike and have NEVER been disappointed. The mounts were completed in a timely manner also. He is friendly and professional. He is my go to when it comes to taxidermy.

Ken Rapp: He's had my deer over a year. I've NEVER waited over a year for a mount. It's just a head, not an entire deer. A month ago he said first week in March. Last week he said the end of this week. Today he said he must have forgot to call me, it's done but he's headed out of town to go fishing. Needs to treat his customers better.He does good work but so do alot of other taxidermists. I won't use his service again.

Dustin Rhodes: Bad bad bussiness and its sad cause i was a return customer and was very pleased the first time. I waited 3 seasons now for a deer a took in 2016. Was told it would be done around christmas or january that year at the latest. Called and called and just told busy and backed up it would be done soon. Eventually marked it up as a lost cause cause its now 2019... Got a call a month or so ago said hes got my form and gonna start on mine i lost my receipt etc at this point cause i thought it was just gone being this long ago. He told me 300 on the phone is what you owe me i said ok reluctantly hoping he was gonna make it a little better since all that time had passed. Called today to say i can pick up. I said what do you think we should do since its been 3 years now....he said 450.00 full price. I cant stomach paying that after some kinda mistake was made and mine got lost or put off for 3 years. I tried to make it right said id pay something but its not fair to pay full price after all that time 3 years after he said it would be done. Nope he said he wont come down on price wont haggle stated his shop is full of things people arent going to pick up. I could feel things getting confrontational so its not worth it to me. Ill just lose my mount. Guy seemed like he use to do great bussiness fair honest bussiness but now im seeing why his shop is full of peoples mounts not ever gettint picked up. Bad bad bussiness and its sad cause he does do very nice work fron what ive seen but fair is fair and right is right. Nobody in their right mind would pay full price for a mount that was suppose to be done 3 years ago......ill update if he makes it right with this review and alot of the bowhunting community i know and speak to but at this point hes refused and got angry and things felt kinda rude starting so it seems like a lost cause. Be fair with your customers and it will come back to you...this is just become bad bussiness at this point. I didnt haggle or fight with the first price o payed what you asked even tho it was a little late a few months i could deal with....this one was 3 years bud. You know this wasnt right.

Tim McClune: Saw his work at a local meat processor that promotes him. The work is very amateurish and was enough to keep us from using him. So we were concerned when the processor mistakingly sent my wife's deer to him. When my wife arrived to retrieve her deer, that he had already hacked up, he proceeded to laugh in her face along with my 11yo daughter present. So not only is he a inadequate taxidermist, he is also a fraction of a man.

Steve Aikin: I have been taking my critters to Steve for over 15 yrs now. He is an awesome guy with an incredible eye for detail. He works out of his basement which is nice because it definitely helps keep the cost down for anyone taking stuff to him. Anyone that first comes in our house always says how great the mounts look & I always tell em who did the craftsmanship on em. Will continue to take things to him as long as he’s around. He is also into collecting & selling vintage fishing lures, poles, motors etc etc and has a rather impressive collection of items to view. He has a great collection of mounts to help anyone out in making a decision if they don’t quite know what they want, not to mention he will take the time to discuss fine details and anything that you might want to add in your mount and doesn’t rush / push you along at all. Definitely a great guy to deal with. Attached is a pic of some mounts he has done for me. He did all the shoulder deer mounts and all the fish. I did the others. He is currently working on my sons 22, 6.12 lb rainbow trout and we cannot wait to see it when it’s done!
