Crystal Frederick: I do not write bad reviews but here we are. If a 0 star was a thing it would still be too generous. The hotel I stayed at called for a cab for me around 4:00 to be there at 6:00. I double checked with the front desk at 5:45 that the taxi would be there and she said she would check and called them while I was standing there and she said they would be there. We waited and waited and the front desk saw we were still there so they called again and was told they would be there. We waited until 6:45 and I called myself and was told they did not have a reservation! This was the fourth call! We waited a little while longer ended up just driving ourselves and had to walk a block in the pouring rain from the parking lot to the theater. They had my phone number and I NEVER received any notification they ever showed up at the hotel. I noticed there are mixed reviews and the good reviews had replies from the company thanking them but they do not reply to the bad ones. VERY poor way to do business.
Tonia H: I ordered a taxi at 10:27pm tonight and was told to cal back every 20 minutes if I didn't get a text about a cab picking me up, I did this 6 times tonight. It is now 12am and still no taxi. My car broke down and I only had cash on me so I had no alternative.I was a taxi driver in the past and I will say that more times than not this happens to customers in the greater st. Louis. I will now say that the federal background check, the physical and the lease is very expensive to drive a cab so why don't they want our local business ? I bet if I was a voucher from the hospital those cabbies would have been on it. So much for making more people walk ( literally)

Rhonda Shelton: If there were zero stars, I'd give a zero. I called a cab at 10:30 p.m. I was told they were working on my request if I hadn't heard from them in 20 minutes call back. This charade went on for another 30 minutes. The cab never showed up. I walked to the bus stop at twelve midnight. There were 7 minutes left on my phone. I had to think quickly. The bus came 10 minutes after I made it there.Another time, I called because I had an appointment. I watched the cab pass my house when dispatch said I didn't show up. Needless to say, I had to reschedule the appointment. Lyft n Uber is my way of transportation now more reliable.

Getachew was rude, unprofessional and argumentative. Mr. Getachew needs training in cultural appropriate behavior and how to interact with American women. Women traveling alone, beware of this taxi service. Next time I'll call Uber or Lyft.

I had a 75 year old man coming in from LAX and his connection flight was cancelled, leaving the only option to keep him over night or get him a ride home. duy huynh: Merging on to the highway today and driver of white Lincoln SUV (car 935 I believe) just merges into the acceleration lane with no indication. We happen to heading in the same direction. The driver then exits the highway with no indication, turns at the light with no indication. Merges across two lanes, again, no indication. I don’t use car services often but the example he set made sure I won’t be using this one should I need to. At least, he didn’t tailgate anyone.
Patrick Bost: We use this service for rides to and from the airport and have always had prompt and consistent service. They have always arrived early going to the airport and always notified us where and which car is picking us up upon arrival. Highly recommend this company.
Carol Welsch: Made the mistake of setting up a second late night (11:30 pm) pickup after they did not show up for us on a late might before and THEY DID NOT SHOW UP leaving my family waiting at the airport at midnite when we were out of town. We had used them many times before but alawys during the day. If they didn’t want to work late hours they should have been ethical and told us. We will never use them again.

Dylan: I called and spoke to them personally as I needed to guarantee someone would pick me up. They advertise 24 hour service but I had to make sure as I was a women traveling alone and arriving at 12:30 a.m. at STL airport. I explained my situation and was assured my driver would have my flight information and text me his location when my plane arrived. I called on Sunday to confirm and left a message. When my plane arrived I called again, it went straight to voicemail. I left a message that I was at the airport waiting for my driver. 20 minutes later with no response and desperate, I tried one more time to tell them I was stranded at the airport in the middle of the night, no response. I waited until this afternoon before writing this review to see if they would at least have the courtesy of calling me and apologizing or explaining that there was confusion, no one got back to me. This company has no concern for their customers or their safety.

Hell Fire: This company is no longer owned and operated by the past owners of 30 years.If you've noticed a difference in quality and performance in recent months, that would be why. A garbage "car service" bought this company from the owners who are struggling during the pandemic.They intend to tarnish the Chesterfield name that comes with good faith, to merge companies with their own terribly rated, managed and operated company with bad faith business practices and unprofessionalism beyond imagining.You are indeed better off with county cab or airport taxi. I asked for a confirmation she said Abby so I wrote down the number she called from being different from website phone number. Day before leaving called 4 times with only being able to leave voicemail to confirm our pick up would be there and on time. No call back and I called between their 8am to 8pm time. I called Abby number 9:30pm to let them know I wouldn't need or use their services she pick up phone this time. I called County cab got a legit person very professional and guaranteed an on time pick up. They were great. I wouldn't ever use or trust this company. Most unprofessional service I've ever experienced.

Highly recommend. While Uber and Lyft offer slightly lower fair I was unable to reserve either one in advance. Chesterfield Cab & Car Service, however, is more reliable on that matter
