Indian Hills Swim Club: what do users think?
Chris Miller: Destin in st louis clean clean clean water is pristine snack bar fast with good grub flowers have a tropical vibe plenty of space with pickle ball court basketball table tennis shuffle board or you may choose to lean up against the side of the pool adream of the Caribbean
Susan LaBrier: This is a great private pool with the privacy but without the snobbery. Get memberships as early as possible.
Sue Pacheco: Indian Hills Swim Club has proven to be an incredible experience for me. It is pleasant, enjoyable and not overly crowded. I greatly appreciate the management enforcing the rules for all members ensuring the safety of everyone.
Jon Storey: What an amazing pool set up in the south county area. I must've passed this location a million times, but went inside for the first time recently. 2 Clean accessible pools, with all the needed accessories. Diving board, slide, and basketball hoop for fun while swimming. Plenty of seating available with coverage for shade. Bathhouse with restrooms for changing are available. Also a hot tub and a smaller basketball court for fun outside the pool. A must see if in the south county area.
Brian English: My wife and I held our son's 7th birthday party at Indian Hills, and the staff and management couldn't have been much more adversarial toward our group. The manager hid in the back chiding her outside staff loudly over the walkie-talkies while the indoor staff was more interested in what they were doing on their phones behind the counter than assisting their patrons. Following the party, I personally ensured that everything we brought into the facility was removed, even while an adjacent group immediately began taking over the space we had previously occupied. The manager later complained that we left trash behind, and my own insistence that it must have been left behind by the group that moved in after us was met with complete dismissal and an insinuation that I must not have cleaned up properly. Despite how poorly we were treated, I respected the facility and removed any evidence that we were there at all; clearly that wasn't good enough. So we further removed any evidence of our presence by joining a vastly superior private club this summer, which has already proven itself to be in an entirely different league of friendliness, accommodation, and professionalism. We wish best of luck to the staff and management at Indian Hills, because they'll need their fair share of it to retain members they treat so poorly.EDIT: Did you really just pull the old, "You can't quit because you're fired" shtick on me? Brilliant deflection from the actual complaints you failed to even remotely acknowledge. You should try spending your time addressing your unhappy customers' many valid complaints instead of dismissing them indiscriminately with your petulant "Nuh-uh, you are" replies.
Mary Novotny: I have a membership and love it. Whenever I am there I feel like I'm on vacation. The landscaping is magnificent. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
Tim Kennedy: First rate swim club.
Sarah Stender: Indian Hills Swim Club has been our home away from home each summer. The pool is spotless, facilities clean, and the grounds are well maintained and beautiful. It almost feels like a little Oasis in St. Louis!I have sent my children to camp there each summer and they have become very good swimmers. When we first joined, they did not pass the swim test to get their yellow fish tags to swim on their own, and I truly appreciated that the staff took their time to evaluate them and provide them with pointers on how to improve. By the end of the summer they had all passed due to the accelerated swim lessons, swim camp, and wonderful staff. The pool really feels like a community with fun events planned each weekend and late hours on Fridays and weekends, which I really appreciated after a long week of work and camps... plus, you can bring your own food, use the pool's grills, and bring your own beverages!I can't say enough good things about the lifeguards and owners... they are attentive, professional, and treat their members like family. We love Indian Hills - it is by far the best kept secret in St. Louis!
BEG Guerra: LOVE this pool ❤️ Family of 5 and have been coming to this family friendly pool for years! Fun for all ages! Beautiful pool with very friendly and accommodating staff and always very clean. The staff is amazing and we enjoy pool days as well as their very well run summer camps. Can’t say enough good things about this pool if you want an amazing summer this is your spot. You will not find a better pool than this - family run with owners that really care about their members. No place we would rather spend our summers than IHSC 😎
Maura McAlister: Indian Hills is the perfect swim club to join if you're looking for a fun and relaxing summer. The staff and lifeguards and are very attentive and experienced. Bathrooms, lounging area, pool and food area kept very clean. Most importantly it is family owned and operated. We have been going four years now and aren't looking back!
Karen Martin: Indians Hills is such an amazing pool! My kiddos love it and look forward to camp every year. The staff is very professional, friendly, and caring. There are things to do for kids of all ages. They have done a great job with the upkeep of the pool itself and the management is very respectful and accommodating. Can’t wait for more pool fun next year!!!
Christina S: We have been going to Indian Hills Swim Club for a number of years and absolutely LOVE it! The staff is professional and friendly, it’s impeccably kept, and the owners truly care about making your experience amazing. It’s great for kids and adults alike - I don’t know how we’d get through summers without IHSC. The summer camps for kids are also fantastic! I wouldn’t join any other pool!
allison krumme: 44 yo mom of 2 boys and 3 bonus boys.. fellow small business owner...I wanted to support this business but when Sara took over things changed and became unbearable. If you have kids under 7 who love to swim and have fun at the pool this is not your place. Swim camp was great. Grace and most of the other young staff were awesome to the boys, but after my 7 yo achieved his tag he didn't even want to go back. And my 5 yo wasn't even allowed to get a swim tag which meant he wasn't allowed in the deep end or diving boards....not even if his ex swim instructor mom or ex pro football player bonus dad were standing right there. They definitely cater to the retired drinking poolside and lounging crew. Sara was obnoxious and rude when I voiced my concerns and told me if I didn't like the changes I could have my money back, which obviously I wasn't going to do to my kids mid summer/pre camp. They were looking forward to it. We're going elsewhere next summer which is a bummer. This place is so close and convenient.
Casey Hoffmann: I can't believe I've been coming here for almost 20 years! The owners are just phenomenal. They keep up the facility and are always making improvements. It is clean and safe. Love bringing my family here.
Julie Colyer: Another great year at this swim club! The staff is amazing and the owner always goes above and beyond to keep everyone safe and happy. We truly appreciate the dedication this family has shown throughout the years... Great family atmosphere, absolutely love it there!
Cayla Rohde: Indian Hills has been the hot spot in Affton for individuals of all ages for some time now. I personally have been a member for almost 20 years. The facility is clean, welcoming, and always booming with new activities and events. They have an awesome “Dive-In” movie night for families and summer camps for the kiddos. The staff and management are always friendly and take care of any concerns or questions promptly. I would recommend this Swim Club to any and every person, especially families! The members are always very kind and speak highly of their experiences as well. I have had the pleasure of meeting several members who have been members for nearly 4 decades that are still weekly regulars. This pool is extremely safe for young children and the guards are always extremely vigilant of any danger or risk the little ones may be getting in to. Many parents have complimented the safety this pool provides. I, as well as the rest of my family will continue to support and enjoy this establishment!!
Sandra Barraco: I’ve been a member for abt 20 years and get withdrawals when it closes. I keep Coming back because of the way it is managed. It is clean and provides a great and safe environment for all ages. I LOVE Indian Hills and wldnt change a thing. Thanks for giving me something I can Look forward to every summer
Yorue Yorue: This place is the worst pool I’ve ever been to. This place charges way too much for everything, the staff are horrible, and overall just a terrible pool. -Daniel larson
Brian Lyons: IHSC is a hidden gem in St. Louis. Locally owned and a real family atmosphere where the owners care about their members and their members guests. My kids love the diving boards and slides and when they’ve had enough in the pool it’s off to the pickle ball court. If you’re looking for a safe, family-owned pool with plenty of options for everyone in your family, I totally recommend Indian Hills.
Grace Newsham: Indian Hills is simply….the best. It feels like a home away from home because I know so many faces of so many people here! I spend a lot of time here and every minute is better than the last. The Houska family welcomes you with open arms to their beautifully kept pool. The pool is well-staffed too! Lifeguards make sure to ensure all rules- all in place for the safety of everyone. The snack bar workers and front desk workers also always have a smile on their face and are ready to have a conversation with anyone! There is also camp that happens on some weeks and the kids have an absolute blast! It has been a joy to find such a hidden gem :)
Colleen O'Connell: This place is awesome! I have been coming here ever since I was a small kid and I have never failed to have a great time! It's a great community for all ages! There's activities for everyone; camps, movie nights, areas to barbecue and so much more for families of all ages! Very clean and well maintained with gorgeous flowers surrounding you while you swim!! The staff is always very friendly and attentive to all of their members! If you're looking for a safe, family friendly pool to hang out at all summer, Indian Hills is definitely a great place to go!

Barron Swim School: what do users think?
Maggie H: We have had a great experience so far. I recently enrolled my little to start swimming. Each person we have encountered has been very helpful in learning the routine of swim class. They also have communicated any schedule changes quickly so we were aware. It’s only been a few classes and my kiddo is already getting more confident. They have great instructors who make the child and parent feel comfortable while being taught.
Cody Esch: Barron Swim has been great! We have had many different great teachers but I would like to specifically call out Tim. He does such a great job giving that extra attention & instruction when a child needs it. He is also very positive which helps with their confidence. We have had a great experience at Barron and will continue to bring our children & refer our friends/family.
Amela Talic: EXCELLENT! All of the teachers always have a smile and positive attitude. I have seen them all handle excited kiddos, crabby kiddos, and kiddos screaming in their face for 30 minutes straight (my daughter). I am in awe of their patience and dedication. They don’t just “deal” with the scenarios they work thru them and still teach the kids a valuable life skill. I was amazed when the pool deck manager told me to leave my daughter even though she was fussy and throwing a tantrum. I was fully expecting them to tell me to go calm her down and return her when she’s ready. Everyone here deserves 10 STARS!!! They are absolutely phenomenal. Teachers, staff, everyone!
Brittany Behnen: We love Barron Swim School! We signed up our four month old and she is already learning how to float. Lauren has been so patient and calm with her while she gets used to being fully submerged. Prior to swim class she hated bath time and now loves getting to play in the water! We can’t wait to see all she learns overtime.
Leslie Waldrop: My 3 year old asks me each time she gets out of the pool, "Mom, can we come back here again?" She has become incredibly comfortable in the water and we are on the right path to independent swimming in the near future. My older kids still remember how much they loved going because the water and temperature were warm.
Victoria Thuston: Our family loves Barron Swim!! Our 1.5 year old and 6 year old get so excited when it’s their swim day. We’ve been going for 6 months now and highly recommend. Our girls are so comfortable, yet safe, around water since we started lessons and it’s so fun to see them apply skills when we go to the pool. We’ve been with several different swim instructors and they’ve all been extremely patient, friendly, and enthusiastic.
Randi Gordon: We started at Barron Swim School a year ago and our girls both love it! At the lake this summer, we've gotten so many compliments on how comfortable our kids are in the water and how strong of swimmers they're becoming! Even if a teacher is switched out of our class, my anxious daughter doesn't skip a beat because she hasn't met a teacher that she hasn't loved!
Katie Kriegesmann: I absolutely love this place. My daughter has learned so much in the past year. She looks forward to going to swimming every week. She loves Ms. Lauren and she is so good with all the kids. I would recommend this place to anybody.
Lisa Waltenberger: My children showed more confidence in the water after 1 lesson! The teachers at Barron are positive, knowledgeable, and love working with our kids!
Jesseca Metzger: My daughter started swim lessons at age 3 at a local swim class. She was not comfortable with water and really needed a bit more help with swim basics. She just didn't take well to the other swim class... she didn't get the hands-on treatment that she really needed. We then switched over to Barron Swim School and saw an immediate difference! From the beginning, she loved going to class and I could see her confidence growing. I highly recommend Barron Swim School, especially if your little one needs a bit more help feeling comfortable in the water!
Renata Stinebrook: Our 4 year old son has been going to Barron Swim School since he was 6 months old. He has learned so many skills and enjoys being in the water. The coaches there are amazing!! You can tell they enjoy what they do and they make sure the kids always have fun. We are so grateful for Barron and the wonderful experience our son has had!
Carrie Klaus: Barron Swim School has made such a difference in my son's swimming abilities and overall comfort/confidence in the water. In just a few months he has gone from absolute fear of getting his face wet to complete comfort and confidence in swimming under water. The techniques used by the teachers are very effective and he is so proud of his new skills!
Nicole Bruce: Unlike most kiddos, my son was not afraid of water. It was the opposite he had no fear or respect of water. I was terrified to have him around open water. Until we started at Barron! They taught him how to not only swim but be safe when around or near water. It was a great relief for me!
Sam Funderburk: Our son Jaime loves it here. He has fun and learns how to be safe at the same time. Very accommodating for when he needs to makeup a class when he’s sick. We had an instructor change a few months in, but they did a great job transitioning the kids over so they would still be comfortable in the water with a new person. Highly recommended!
Brittany Clemens: Only 2 weeks in and I know we will be sending out child here for years to come. So well organized and thought out. The underwater photos are also a great touch and an amazing memory to have. (Brittany Grove)
Patrick Hanna: I signed up my sons who have ADHD to learn to swim. The staff is very understanding and work great with them. I am personally happy with how well they are doing with their progress. I have seen them work with other kids that are not exactly excited about being there, and they are amazing at getting those children comfortable and excited about swimming. Each student is allowed to learn at their own pace, and age group. There are milestones set that the student needs to meet before advancing to the next level. The facility is very clean and professional looking. You can keep track of your child's progress through their website, plan for absences, and make up classes. They also have an app for your phone to be able to do these things. My sons really enjoy going to their lessons and are excited about advancing to the level that they can compete. I highly recommend Barron Swim School.
Alyssa Lipsinsky: Barron has been amazing! My daughter is such a water baby. Which has been terrifying because she bolts for water any time she sees it, and knowing she doesn’t know how to swim has been so nerve wracking. We started in the Parent&tot class and after just a handful of classes she was catching on so quickly that they moved her up a class. She is now swimming under water after about 2 months or so of classes. And she just loves her teacher. Swim classes are her favorite part of the week. And it puts this mommas mind at ease knowing when we swim she has that water safety knowledge. She no longer bolts for water! She understands she can’t go in by herself!!
D D: Both my kids have gone to Barron Swim school and I cannot say enough great things about this place. Our favorite part of the school is that they offer accelerated classes, which we found super helpful to refresh my daughters skills and confidence before the pools opened for the summer. Barron’s offers life saving skills as well as a fun learning environment.
M P: I have been taking my 6 year old son for a little over a year and he now loves the water and even snorkeled on vacation. 100% recommend.
Kelly Backer: Barron Swim School is absolutely fantastic! The confidence my kids have gained in the water and the awareness of swim safety they now have makes me proud to be a member of Barron swim. The staff are trained and very knowledgeable all while making it fun…and the customer service team is SO welcoming! I am so grateful for Barron and highly recommend them to anyone! 😊
Xavier Joerger: Barron Swim School is amazing. My 4 year old and 8 month old both attend. My 4 year old started out scared to even let us wash her hair in the bath and after only a few months she is going under water. The staff at the south county location are amazing and know how to handle children who have a fear of water. I love that they test skills each class and have an app to track them too. The app makes it so easy to reschedule a makeup class if you ever have to miss a class too. We started our 8 month old in hopes he will not have a fear of water as he ages and to teach water safety. I highly recommend to everyone.

Hhuhh Hjjj: Idk
Ryan Flynn: Best swim club and pickleball courts in St. Louis
Lucas Wilson: Beautiful
Sara Sharp: I was a guest for this pool as my cousins are members it was a blast the kids had swim lesson in the morning. Then we went back in the evening to swim and have fun just hanging out. They have some grills and shelter tables you can reserve to cook food on. They also sell some concession food that is not over priced like most pools. Wish I had a neighbourhood pool like this were I live.
Ralph Yeager: Ah ha it was great the company i work for is building a kiddie pool there the neighborhood is great lots of friendly looking people walking there dogs
Anne Miller: My first visit for an end of year water exercise class was reasonably priced, allowed the class to stay to enjoy the pool as long as they wanted afterward, & served free ice cream & toppings later in the afternoon. It was very enjoyable!
Mark Womer: There's just something about Brentwood.
