I was so impressed that this company has been in business for 85 years and excited to find them. Well, the guy arrived, very professional and nice. He looked at the wall in my living room that needed to be repaired and really studied it. Had very little to say. He didn’t say that he would email me or call me with an estimate. He walked out and I never heard from them again!!!! Not too sure why not but I think the least I deserve is “we can’t do the work,” OR “we don’t want to do the work.” I wouldn’t have been happy but I can and would appreciate something to be said. A huge disappointment for me. I got the work done by “Irish Construction,”IMMEDIATE service, professional and thorough.

Jessica Nelson: We hired Woemmel to do a plaster repair of our living room ceiling. We had some recessed lighting installed and needed everything smoothed out before painting. We waited more than 6 weeks after Woemmel was done to paint (painting done by Kennedy painting), as per their instructions. Less than a week later, there is a giant crack with plaster falling from the ceiling. There is no water leak. We had everything checked out from that side with Hoffman. I have been stuck with an 9x2 ft hole in the middle of our living room ceiling since May. They were initially responsive and agreed to repair it. However, we have been unable to get a call back or someone to come out now for more than 2 months. This hole has been there since May. I can't believe that this is how you would treat a customer as a professional contractor. We had begged them to repair it before we brought our new baby home, but that has since come and gone. I would never recommend this company. They don't stand behind their work. What's more frustrating is that it apparently will require legal action to get even the courtesy of a phone call. We are already struggling with me working as a healthcare worker on the front lines and now with a newborn. I just can't believe the lack of integrity this company has shown.

Das Nubbin: This is an exceptional company. The office staff was prompt at setting up my appointment and sending out my bid. My plaster damage consisted of bubbling, water damage and areas that had fallen off the wall. The plasterers were at my house for 2 days. Each day they were on time, courteous and kept their work areas neat and tidy. I watched them work for a little bit and I'm just impressed by their craftsmanship. My walls look as good as new, the texture matches the rest of the rooms and you cannot even tell where the damage was. Now, I did spend a little more with this company than I had with other plasterer, but whomever said you get what you pay for, is right! I hope I don't need any more work any time soon, but I know who I'll be calling when I do.
Chris Vahlkamp: I own a 12,000 square foot office and warehouse in South Saint Louis with a unique parking structure and futuristic 1950's era plaster detailing. This Spring a car smashed into two of the support columns resulting in extensive damage. Woemmel was prompt and professional in examining the damage and provided a competitive bid for repairs. They did a simply amazing job of repairing the damage. I was totally impressed! Highly recommend them!

Emily Faber: I had Eric out to address issues in my bedroom walls and ceiling stemming from past roof leaks. He was extremely knowledgeable and his price was competitive. Most importantly, Eric and his team were very responsive, from bid to scheduling and appointment reminders, and their work was immaculate. Eric is a true artist in this field and my 1936 walls and ceiling look as good as new. Five stars!

RLV: Eric came out to inspect out two walls in question. His recommendation was simple and a DIY project. He was honest and informative. I appreciate the time and effort it took for him to drive out just for a consult. He had great customer service.
Brooke Tidball: Eric came to look at an area of sagging, cracked plaster on the ceiling of my guest bedroom on July 20th and told me that he would send me a bid within a day or two. After I did not hear from him for a week, I called his office and was told that the bid would be to me within a couple of days. I waited another week and called again and was told the same thing. After another week with no bid, I called and threatened to leave a bad review online. I got a call from Eric that evening. He told me that my job would cost twice as much as a regular job because of radiant heat in my ceiling and also because he needed extra help because he had a bad hip. When I asked if he could come down a little on the price and mentioned that the bad hip was not related to the job, so shouldn't factor into the price, he got agitated and said, "Why would I want to work for you anyway, if you don't care about my health?" It was clear that he had already planned to pass on the job, but this was just an excuse. I would have preferred he tell me that he couldn't handle the job in a timely manner, rather than putting me off for weeks, and then finally making it seem like it was somehow my lack of concern for his health that was the issue.
Roger Andris: I'm generally reticent to post online reviews. That said, Eric Aulbach just completed rather extensive work at my home and I couldn't be more pleased. I like that they are local and family owned, with extensive experience. Their bid was competitive and their work impressive. All involved were professional, courteous and meticulous. They minimized any mess, complied with Covid precautions and invested an attention to detail seldom seen in contracted work. Eric is a seasoned craftsman who leads a fine-tuned crew!

Their work was absolutely fantastic, their prices were very competitive, and they couldn’t have more professional and friendly. So when I botched a picture hanging job in my dining room, I called him again. He told me that he would come over to fix the small whole in the wall free of charge since it was such a small, easy fix. I could not be more impressed with his service and quality. His quality of service is hard to find this day in age so if you have plaster repair needs or questions, CALL ERIC!!!

Bridget Redeker: I really don’t like leaving negative reviews unless absolutely necessary, especially during covid times where small businesses are taking such a hit. I like to give businesses the benefit of the doubt but I feel as though others should be warned before relying on this business for anything.I own a condo unit in a 100 year old building. Clayton plastering had done some tuckpointing work for us last year but upon realizing that there were still places that needed to be patched up, I reached out again in mid August, 2021.It was initially hard to get ahold of someone but after several phone calls and one cancelled appointment, Jesse (inspector and tuckpointer) finally came to do an inspection on September 1st. I was told that he would have a quote for me within 2 business days. It is September 27th and not only have I not heard from him but he is ignoring my text messages, phone calls and both the president of my HOA and myself have called the office number numerous times with no callback. I had gotten ahold of the office manager once and was promised that Jesse was planning on calling me back but I never heard anything from anyone.As a business, if you are swamped with larger projects or short staffed and need to put my project on the back burner, I can understand that but communicate that to me. I took time out of my own workday to be available during the inspection and deserve the respect of a follow up at the very least. Completely ignoring a customer’s multiple attempts of outreach, promising that I will hear from someone and never receive a call or text back—this is a huge waste of time and frankly very rude customer service. I expected more from a family owned company who until now, had great reviews. So I hope this helps someone else in my shoes.
Deborah Katz: CP&T tuck pointed the inside of our UCity garage. No other company would take the job. They came on time, did beautiful work, and cleaned up perfectly. The price was very reasonable too. I would hire them again in a heart beat.

Carole Bridgman: Andre Borrelli is the real thing. He gave us estimates that were lower than the ones we received from more well-known plasterers in the area. And he did what the other companies were not going to do--he screwed wire mesh into the joists of our 100-year-old ceiling, which was wavy and had water damage. Then he covered this with a brown coat and a final coat. The results were just as he promised--it looks just like a skating rink. Also, he was a joy to work with.
